Danny Thompson is the Australian equivalent of Adrian Mole, and every bit as funny. Being 12 isn''t easy - Danny Thompson tells us all about it in this book, which h eralds the beginning of a funny new series for children from 9 up. '
Not bad. The main character, Danny, is 11 and my son is 10, and Danny has a baby sister who is pretty hilarious, think lots of poop and drool, and peeing on a neighbor's rosebushes, so my boy mostly enjoyed it. There were a lot of Australian colloquial expressions so it might get confusing for a child whose English is basically American.
