I am originally from Scotland and now live in Australia.

I have been a lover of historical fiction since I was young. I also enjoy reading about the Knights Templar, secret societies and witches.

I write historical fiction with a supernatural twist. I have published three books.

DISTANT WHISPERS is a reincarnation novel and THERE IS A PLACE, a Scottish historical novel.

My third book MEMORIES OF THE NIGHT SKY was published in July 2021. It is a reincarnation/historical fiction novel set in Scotland in the 8th and 14 centuries, and the present day..

When producing a story that expects the reader to move between time zones, the author must do so with care. Good characterisation is a must, but for that person to have experienced different lives, each must be clearly defined, and believable. The different ‘worlds’ that the character has known should likewise be well-crafted.
This author accomplishes the characterisation and the separate time zones with ease. Ms Donnelly demonstrates her skill by using different techniques to whisk the reader effortlessly across many centuries whether going back in time or returning to the present.
I was impressed by the imagery and dialogue, again, areas that must differ to suit the occasion. The locations are real places and anyone who has visited Scotland will truly appreciate the beauty of the background. As a Scot, I felt at home in every location.
The story includes fear, desire, romance, love, hope, regret, faith, trust and much more. Your heart will warm to the characters and this tale will live on in the memory.

Rooted cleverly in Greek Mythology, Divergence is the story of a small band of Immortals and their battle against the evil Pyke and his cohorts of witches and other deadly horrors.

Four of the six don’t believe their command of magic is powerful, or that they will be called upon to fight. Beckett, a businessman, narrowly avoids kidnap. The three woman couldn’t be more different or more ordinarily human– a beauty-shop owner, a dog-trainer, and the battered ex-wife of a rock star.

Reading is like watching a movie, the descriptions are so vivid... so convincing. Watch the Master of the Sea at work... ride a winged horse... enjoy the rhythm of the poetry contained in the spells...

I absolutely loved this story. As someone who often reads only half a book, I couldn’t put this one down! I loved the flow of the story and the beautiful characters. Highly recommend this one!
