I just finished the 4th book in the Ettie Smith Amish Mysteries series called Amish Murder Too Close by Samantha Price. This is a cozy mystery about the senior sleuth sisters and their discovery of a dead body outside of Ettie’s house. The sisters didn’t recognize the dead woman because she dyed her hair and wore makeup, but discovered later that she was Margaret Yoder, a former member of their community. Ettie and Elsa-May plan to find who committed this murder on their property. I recommend this mystery with many twists to all who love reading Amish cozy mysteries.
Samantha Prices's Amish Murder Too Close: Amish Suspense (Ettie Smith Amish Mysteries Book 4)is a great addition to this series.
What, another murder connected with Ettie's house that was left to her by her friend Agatha. This time it is such a strange twist. Of course, the girls had to find the young girl's body outside Ettie's house. Wasn't Brandy the one doing the open house? Turns out Brandy's intern, Margo, is dead, in front of Ettie's house......if people keep being murdered here, Ettie is never going to sell this place.
Looks like a robbery gone bad, or was it?
Read this addition to the Ettie mysteries and find out "who done it".....It won't be whoever you think.
I was given a copy of this book for a truthful review.
Is the real estate broker above suspicion? Not so much. Just like Detective Kelly tells Ettie Smith about Amish people still being just people after all. So no one is above suspicion in this little bit of mystery. An intern that looks a lot like the broker that is listing Ettie's house is found dead on the road after the first day of an open house that the broker was too busy to do (suspicion). I won't retell the tale, but Ettie nails it when she figures out who did it, but the Detective takes the credit. A recent Facebook post tells me that the Ettie Smith Mysteries are up to book 30+, so I'm just past 10% on this series.
Amish Murder too Close is book 4 in thr Ettie Smith Amish Mysteries series. I can not put hese books down when I start reading them. Page flippers. Lots of adventures and turns in this story with well written characters. Another murder to close to home.To be exact in her front yard you could say. Ettie comes uupon the scene when going to check out the house she has for sale and finds more then she bargains for. She has to help the Amish man clear his name as the killer. Can Ettie solve this mystery? Great series by Samantha Price look this series up.
I really enjoyed this book, another book with Ettie Smith. It is a clean read and lots of fun with all of the characters. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
This book was well written and it really holds your interest. With a good mystery you have to look at all the information to solve the case. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
I loved the way this author tells a story and makes the characters come alive. How these two women work together to solve the Murder of Margaret is interesting. The are bright and full of humor. I’m happy there’s another mystery in this series.
I've never read an Amish murder mystery before. The main characters were two Amish widows who were sisters and who played detectives to help find the murderer. It was an interesting read because who doesn't love grandmothers who put their noses where they don't belong. But the mystery was a little too predictable for my liking.

I really like these books. They are short and fun reads and they are very easy to finish in and me dreary rainy day (Which is exactly what I did). I like the characters a lot and the writing as well
Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...
1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.
2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.
3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.
4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.
5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.
I have enjoyed each book in this series. The author always provides a murder mystery that isn't easy to solve and with this one there were a few twists that really kept this one moving along. It's interesting to watch the pieces of the mystery fall together. It was great that Etta Mae played a bigger role in this book, I think the banter between the two sisters really adds another layer to the story, sometimes a humorous layer. Samantha Price has become one of my favorite Amish Mystery writers and I can't wait to see what mystery these Amish sisters find themselves involved in next!
It caught my attention with Amish. There was very little actual Amish ways but it was an adorable book. I loved it and it had lots of twists! Main characters were two little old Amish ladies. So cute!
