When Ettie stumbles across some bones in a field, the local detective believes she knows the truth behind the man's murder. In her efforts to prove she knows nothing, Ettie is led to Amish woman, Gertie.
Gertie shares with them a shocking tale of two murders that were deemed 'accidents.' Ettie dismisses the story as nothing more than Gertie's vivid imagination until the day that Gertie goes missing.
Can Ettie remember Gertie's ramblings enough to follow the clues to find her? Or will Gertie become another 'accident.'

I've greatly enjoyed this series except for the author giving her Amish characters non-Amish last names. The series has been a real joy. It makes it a little hard to determine whose Amish and whos not when the author uses non-amish last names and pairs it with an Amish person. Beautiful covers and I will continue to read as long as Samantha Price writes them!
The two elderly Amish sister's are back at it again. Thanks to their dog Snowy, he found some bones, that just happen to be human remains. And now their friend Gertie has gone missing. The two ladies have plenty of investigating to do. Enough to keep Detective Kelly on his toes. I really enjoyed the book, as I have all the others. I like the humor Samantha Price puts in between the two sisters. A really good read A five star book.
Ettie Smith Amish Mysteries is my favorite series to read from Samantha Price. Only thing is be prepared to stay flipping pages till done. I have never figured out the who done it. Which shows you what a excellent writer Samantha Price is. These stories are good clean and exciting stories. You will love the sisters who are like Sherlock and Holmes. Some how they are always involved in finding the killer. Ettie has stumbled over another body and the detective is wondering how is it she is always involved. But it ends up this is a double murder to solve. Get the series and read them. I think you could read them as a single but these are so good your going to not want to miss any of these. You love mysteries you will love Author Samantha Price. This is book 12 in the series. Promise you will love.
Samantha Price has just released a wonderful new book, Lost: Amish Mystery an Ettie Smith Amish Mysteries Book. It is such an interesting story. Again, Ettie and her sister, Elsa-May are involved in solving a murder, or should we say several murders. Their friend Gertie has had many sad events in her life, the death of a fiancé, then two husbands. Who could be doing all these murders? And of all things, Ettie stumbles over a body that has been buried in a field, unnoticed for several years. This book has so many twists and turns there is never a dull moment. This a must read. Thanks again Samantha.
Snowy takes the lead in this little mystery by finding and old skeleton. The ladies get involved and as the story develops they think a friend is suffering from a persecution complex since it seems every man she loved died under suspicious circumstances. But what if she’s right and it was the same guy that killed at least 3 people to keep her for himself. Strange happenings in this quiet little Amish community.
LOST by Samantha Price. Book 12 "Ettie Smith Amish Mysteries" Snowy, the beloved dog of the two sisters, is the one that found the skeleton. Detective Kelly, and the sisters, find even more is going on when Gertie is now missing. Knowing the people of their community, they feel the need to help Kelly solve the case. Lost:Amish Cozy Mystery (Ettie Smith Amish Mysteries..
I enjoyed this book and storyline and characters. I felt it ran a slower pace than some of her others. It is a clean read and I would recommend it to others.
Well this book was very informative about people with money what they can get away for years. Also it was very well written. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
This was the first Amish mystery I have read. I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading more. So many details to keep straight, but a nice way to mix the 2 cultures between Amish and Englisher.
As with the eleven previous stories I really liked this story. It revolves around Ettie and her sisters friend Gertie. Gertie has a long kept secret that was a huge surprise that I didn't see coming. It makes this story one of Samantha Prices best in the series. It can be read as a stand alone and I recommend this story.
