Why was is the book titled “ Pieces of Her”?
I read the whole book (which really wasn’t that great, sorry) waiting for a connection between title and story and it never happened. That’s weird. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book where the title was never made clear at some point. Who is “her”??

The title has nothing to do with the story. I thought the plot was a very familiar one, and I wasn’t overly fond of how careless and reckless the main character’s actions were sometimes. But overall, the book kept me interested, and I was always waiting for some kind of betrayal or surprise development to show up, so big kudos for writing a good mystery. I also enjoyed not having too many characters to keep track of, all the characters made sense.

I was very disappointed in this book. It started out well with the mysterious disappearance of a young boy while he was spending time with his dad in a snowy wooded area.
Disgraced former police officer and current P.I. Jim Irons Is called in to investigate, after police conclude the child wandered off. Irons determines the boy was actually kidnapped.
Unfortunately, as the investigation continues, too many elements of the plot are so far fetched they strain credulity. The character development is shallow to nonexistent. Plus, numerous serious typos, like a main female character being described as 6 foot- six or seven inches tall, (instead of 5’6” or 7”) distract from the story, improbable as it was.
I am not sure how this book garnered so many positive reviews, but I am definitely not among its admirers.

Pieces of Her was a very good mystery. How can children go missing without a trace as if they vanish into thin air. The local police do not seem to think the disappearance of young Keith is anything more than a child that has wondered off. Former police officer Jim Irons sees this case as a chance for redemption. Can he find the missing boy before its too late and can he keep this from happening again.

This is a brilliant read.
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable.
Great suspense and action with wonderful world building.
Can't wait to read what the author brings out next.

Fantastic book, anxious to start the next!
This story grabbed me from page 1 and I could not put it down. I experienced the anger, dread and could feel the characters feelings, especially when the perpetrators were dealt with. Great job, thank you for writing it. I can't wait to read more.

The story was decent but very poor presentation of the narrative
I really wanted to like this book and the story line was not bad but the inconsistencies were huge and the actions of the main character were so unbelievable, well, I just could not get past it. Will not read this author again nor do I recommend.

The beat who.Dunn it
Jim, a former policeman was defamed trying to expose police corruption and was fired. Children were kidnapped, one being a police mans son, another the son of an alcoholic. The 2 corrupt police were discovered as the perpetrators. Finally the 2 children are rescued

Nice novel,but kinda meh...
I real lot of mystery,thriller, detective stuff. this was kinda weak. Nice character, but nothing but him. No exploration of anything else. Really,the FBI say best of luck getting ur kidnapper. No background of the rationale. Just voodoo. Mediocre at best.

Pieces of her!
This is the best book I’ve read in awhile. It had my attention from beginning to end. I don’t normally read thru a book in a day, but couldn’t put it down,it was that good.Thank you for a thrilling read.

Fantastic read
Hard to put down! A real page turner. At the end of each chapter I wanted to keep reading to see what was going to happen next. Loved it! One of the best books I’ve read in a long time!

Surprise Ending For This “WhoDunIt”
It does not take long to decide who the villains are, but the chase and final takedown are satisfyingly surprising. Unsolved kidnappings from many years past, corruption in high places, a resurgence of kidnappings all create a lot of drama.

Title is misleading
I did enjoy reading this book, the characters and the story quickly caught my interest. I would recommend this to anyone who likes who one its and mysteries.
I just am curious about the title, story is about boys being kidnapped, both now and in the past.

Loved the intrigue
The story was captivating with twists and turns along the way. Just when you think you have it figured out something else happens and takes you down another path. It was a good read to the very end.

finally a great ending!!
Good book, easy to read and follow. Few of the stunts a little far fetched but it didn’t ruin the story. Love the characters they were easy to get to know and love.

Way too long
A tad ridiculous, the ending with the helicopter and the note were plain crazy. Too far out there for me.

I liked the mystery this book has. Jim seems prepared to do whatever it takes to find the missing kids. I'd recommend this book.
