The basic structure of this series is sex and random plot points in between that lead us to the next sex scene. A conflict will arise about halfway through one volume, and then it will immediately be resolved before the end of the next one, Yuri internally monologues about how much she and Oya love one another, and then they have passionate sex. Lather, rinse, repeat. And you know what? I've said this once, and I'll say it again: I'm okay with this.
Look, Yuri isn't really much of a character. I don't mind her, but I can't tell you anything about her outside of the fact that she loves Yuri. She's like the perfect hybrid of a Mary-Sue and a blank slate, but this works because I am living vicariously through her so I can pretend that I also have an incredibly hot megane who seemingly exists only to worship the ground I walk on and shower me with constant love and affection. (Like, I know he's the underboss of a crime syndicate so objectively he's not a good person, but this man is an absolute puppy around Yuri. I'm only human, folks.)
But this volume is not following the formula that I've come to know and love. This is all plot. Is it the best plot in the world? No, not really. I mean, the idea itself isn't bad, but it's nothing is fleshed out and it's kind of (really) rushed. I would have loved if Mino had leaned into more of the darker aspects of the criminal underworld, but I'm just shocked that the conflict with Oya's evil older brother--as if I couldn't love the over-the-top ridiculous of this series enough, now we have an evil and dangerously unhinged older brother--is still going. And there was no smut. So much plot, and no sex. What series am I even reading anymore?
This series is trash, but it's MY trash, and it's very entertaining.
I literally am so invested in the story in the characters. I can’t wait to see what else is up there has to offer. Because if they keep pulling out work like this, I’ll never stop reading that work. I quite literally cherish these two characters in my heart of hearts hearts. I love the dynamic, I love the little side plot story at the very end, I love that the outfits are always changing for Yuri. Obviously, I would’ve loved a little bit more of the main story. But quite literally I don’t have any other faults or complaints about the story because it is so intriguing has me holding my breath and everything else. I am so ready for the last three volume to come out.
Honestly, this arc/plot point with Oya's brother is the best plot of the series, which is not saying much because this series is pretty plotless and when it does have a plot, it sticks to Yuri always being kidnapped. That happens again here, but now her friends are involved.
The romance is still adorable, and the plot is finally shining through! I genuinely don't think I could hate Oya's brother more if I tried! He's such a snake!
I enjoyed this volume. I wish I got to see more about how Oya executed his plan to get Yuri back and a little more about Yuri's time in captivity over a week. I feel this volume was a bit rushed. I enjoyed seeing Yuri's interaction with her friends. I can't wait to see the aftermath of them finding out Yuri lied.
There’s a plot finally! Even though I wasn’t reading it for a plot it’s nice to have. The plot starts with vol. 8. I’ve already read vol. 10 and I can see it extended to vol. 11. The art work is gorgeous. You can see a difference between the beginning and current art. Both are beautiful but the latest volume is stunning.
Deducting one star for the complete sidelining of the rescue of Yuri’s friends. Very much felt like they were an afterthought only worthy of a one liner, after what would have been a traumatizing ordeal. They deserved more attention than that! And disappointed in Yuri for not being more concerned about them. Did they completely slip her mind?

This is my guilty pleasure series and though I still love it, this volume was lacking for me. I understand the need for conflict but when the leads spend that majority of time apart it really dampens the story.
It was sad to see the danger Yuri and all of the others were in! This volume includes a lot of plot development, character development, and Oya being an absolutely hero. This volume is action packed and suspenseful! Really good.
this one was pure drama (yuri - captured!! sent to slave auction!! secretly bought back by oya!! brothers collide!!) and no spice, but I ate it up anyway hahaha.

I was a little bit disappointed with this one. I absolutely loved the first 4 books in the series. This manga set up a new arc, and I will wait and see where everything leads.
Yuri and Oya’s growth in their relationship, I love them both so much!! I’m also very curious to see how Yuri’s friendships change after this arc, as well as what happens to Mao.
