Andrew Milne gives us an account of flooding on the Thames River over the centuries. This book was published in 1982 and contains details about how engineers, working with the trades including Boilermakers came up with a scheme to channel floodwaters away from metropolitan London and it's environs. Some 44 years later the question is : did it succeed?
