Remember the Truth is book two in the series, The Pretence, and should be read after book one, Forget the Lies. If you enjoy fast-paced Christian fiction with romance, action and mystery thrown in the mix, and a dreamy happily-ever-after, all set against the backdrop of sunny South Africa, then this series is for you.
Ashley Winter is a South African Christian Fiction writer living in Wales, United Kingdom. Ashley and her husband Grant, along with their three sons, immigrated to Wales in 2009 to help with a church plant in Swansea. They have since had one more son added to the chaos, and they spend their days chauffeuring the kids and kicking them off their screens and other electronic devices. They have not been brave enough to add any pets to their collection of living things, as they already have so many to keep alive. Ashley finds her escape from the overwhelming masculinity in her home by disappearing into her wonderful world of fiction.

I was desperate to see what would happen in the story and I literally stayed up all night till I finished it. I had high expectations and it truly delivered.
I loved how this was a stand alone separate story but still looped around to Hlala Nathi series. Loved the added crime /action theme to the romance.
I have recieved and ARC copy from the author and was blown away as to how the story unfolded from the first book. what stuck with me is the verse Romans 8 V 28, this story truly portrays this verse. Keep up the good work Ashley looking forward to more!
Never a dull moment when you read one of Ashley Winter’s books!! Remember the Truth does not disappoint. Twists and turns on each page. Has you guessing right to the end Must read book!!
I received an Advanced Readers Copy (ARC) of this book and just like the first book in this 2 book series, I didn't want to put it down until the last page.
Abigail Johnson is still suffering from amnesia after her crash in book 1 but now at least she knows she is not Jessica, the influencer who was married to Xolani, Nathan Southey's brother. While trying to piece back her life and making sense of her feelings for Nathan, someone from her past shows up, someone who apparently knows her quite well from what she can gather. But why does Abigail have a nagging feeling that something isn't quite right?
Meanwhile, Nathan is still looking for answers about his brother's death, which he doesn't believe was an accident. With some help he uncovers piece by piece but with that danger looms as well.
With Abigail's fiance back in the picture, Nathan steps back to let her regain her memory, even though his heart is aching and his friend's advice.
Will the return of her memory really bring the peace and answers she is looking for?
Enough drama, suspence, danger and love to keep the reader at the edge of their seats until the last page.
2025 Challenge 1: April: Book about a place you would like to visit
Struggled with this challenge. Not sure where I would like to visit. Since I am proudly SA, decided to go with one of my favourite SA authors. Once again, Ashley Winter did not disappoint. I loved how characters from the Love in SA series made appearances in this series too. Loved it.
