Love this series

Great conclusion to this entire series. Loved every issue. Would love some more or maybe cameos in Dragon Age 4!

I can't believe I bawled my eyes out because of an extended universe comic about a video game. Fucking Bioware and their fucking talented writers! And the heartbreak is even worse because I'm thinking of Alistair too, he's gonna feel so responsible... He better name Vaea a knight of Ferelden and it better be canon!! I really, really need one country to prove that Solas is wrong and that social justice is possible. Gimme one fantasy universe were our world's problems get resolved, please, I'm begging you!

As painful as this was to read, and as ominous as it is that nor the sarcophagus, nor the sword, nor the idol are destroyed, I'm super duper excited for Fenris, Francesca, and Vaea's adventures. They are the most likely candidates as companions for DA4, so I hope they really turn up in game.

I'm also hoping we'll get more comics or another novel before the game is released because there's SO MUCH happening! Looks like we'll be playing in an already conquered Tevinter and that DAO type of monsters are truly making a comeback (possibility to make new wraiths, more dragons who have been tortured and corrupted, whatever Horror of Hormack is foreshadowing, etc.). And Solas' ability to just spy on everything and everyone through Eluvians is straight up terrifying to be honest. Like, what was even the point of disbanding the Inquisition to stop spies from infiltrating us if he's just able to see and hear everything?! Or is "just" able to track down the idol? If so, why did he have to infiltrate Charter's assembly of spies in Tevinter Nights? Was he truly just gathering information on the Inquisitions allies through this meeting and is he all seeing and all knowing? I'm among those who believe he will be a red herring foe, and that we'll have to bring all the races (including Titans) together to stop the Evanuris who were corrupted by Void magic. But it's still freaky to think he's able to follow everything through Thedas TV! I genuinely hope Merrill's Eluvian is set apart from his network and we can counter spy.

Anyway. I could go on and on for hours, but the point is that these comics were amazing both in themselves and as exciting step stones for the next DA chapter. Bioware truly knows how to recruit wonderful world builders and writers who can breath life into any sort of characters. Even the Orlesian foe is interesting, and I usually can't stand sleazy cowards!

On a petty note, I hope Cassée's name is written correctly when she appears in DA4 along Francesca. I'm ashamed to say it bothered me throughout the story 😂

I enjoyed this series which delves into different aspects of that which we already know and the hints at what's to come. Some of the panels are beautifully drawn, and reading these stories, and then rereading them, makes the long wait for Dragon Age 4 more bearable.

Plus, Fenris.

I’m so glad I bought the Dragon Age Omnibus, because I want to re-read all of this again. This was an amazing tie-in, in my opinion. I miss it already, ahhhh—😭

Perfect balance of direct tie-ins and some new lore which I hope they capitalize on in DA4. And again, please, pleeeease let Bioware have some of these characters cameo or be companions in the next game. I’ll be happy with even temporary companions! Like the Hawke cameo in Inquisition.

That ending actually twinged my heart and gave me chills at once. I know I sound silly, but I don’t care.
