MM Romance
Fated Mates
2 underwhelmed stars ⭐️
After loving Seren and Dane from book 2 and adoring most of the side characters, I just assumed I would love this one too but it was so lackluster I wanted to cry. Besides the fated mate aspect and Darren, our gargoyle, doing security work on the castle NOTHING happened in this book. There was no plot and the couple were as bland as raw tofu. There is only ONE sex scene in this book unless you count the scene where Prince puts Darren’s ball in his mouth and it makes him come in 2 seconds. There was just nothing here at all to grab onto and I fell asleep multiple times trying to read it. Besides it being completely boring, I just cannot stand another minute of this author’s writing style because it’s just a bit wonky. 🤦🏻♀️ She starts these books saying it’s been edited with British English but I don’t struggle with other books edited like that so I dont know if it’s just me or the book? My friend Kati just read book 2 and also commented on the wonky writing though so who knows 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

Prince was such a delightful character in book 2. He was a clumsy himbo with a heart of gold and while he was still that in this book, the pacing of this felt stilted and I never felt like he peaked as a character. Darren was the most boring gargoyle to ever gargoyle. I mean…I rarely ever see MM books with gargoyles so I was excited but Darren was like warm soggy lettuce this entire book. He was like ordering a cheeseburger in a drive thru and when you go to eat it the lettuce is limpy AF. 🤢 What they even saw in each other is beyond me and the one sex scene was super bland. It would have been way more interesting if Darren had a barbed penis like Prince’s research into gargoyle lore had said but sadly it was just a hard rod in his gargoyle skin. Le sigh 😔
The 2 stars are for Dane and Seren because they are in a lot of this book and I just love them. Seren is starting to become his fiery self again and I just loved seeing him comfortable in his own skin and happy with Dane. I also enjoy Gramps because in every book so far someone has said this:
”He’s the best Gramps in the world. He loves having all his family together. I’m lucky really that I’m his favourite grandchild, since he’s got so many to choose from.” 💗💗💗
-I LOVE that he makes them all feel like the favorite.
I have to take a break from this series now though because as much as I’d love to keep reading it, I just can’t get over the writing. It’s so disappointing to see the potential there for a great story but have the author unable to execute it properly. 💔
Also, these covers are killing me!! 😂🤦🏻♀️

Cute. Though I kept expecting something to come out of the idea of magic. I expected more? The past two had more conflict, but Prince doesn't have it in him to bring forth heavy conflict. So far my least favorite. It has a different vibe to the first two, more cutesy versus exciting, but it was very good at being cutesy.

2,5☆ - Sooo boring, only Prince's clumsy drama, but nothing else. And how shallow was his background story about his parents? I am so disappointed and I don't think that I know Darren at all... 😭😅🤔🤨

2,5 stars. I was actually extremely disappointed in this book because in general I have been loving this series, it’s characters and their stories and the author’s writing.
Also, I already loved Prince from the previous book.
The book had potential and until like 40% into it, it wasn’t bad at all. Darren was never my favourite character, but I was hoping he’d open up and get better and more interesting. Sadly, it was the opposite.
I’m not a fan of age-gap romances to begin with, but the way in which Darren treated and thought about Prince as if he were a child made me cringe.
Prince was lovely and the book was constantly hinting on something else being behind his clumsiness, but it never ended up exploring that possibility. His insecurities are understandable and even endearing, but since there isn’t any character arch (nor any proper plot to the book, the be honest) it actually ends up being a bit annoying.
His backstory/drama with his parents is also basically an afterthought, as is his talent and passion for drawing. The way he is constantly mocked by most of his family ends up being unresolved as well.
And Darren js extremely patronising all the time, apart from being controlling and an overall annoying character in my opinion.

Let me start the review by saying that I enjoyed the first book to the next two books in the series. And the review is about the whole series as I read it in a sequence.
The outline of the story and the world-building is very good. The characters are somewhat well-established.
What is dragging the book down? Well, it is the dialogue and the subplots. Furthermore, the timing of the event happening in the book makes no sense.
I strongly believe that this book had potential but unfortunately the narrative was a drag.

I liked the first book, Lew and Morgan are my favorite couple in this series. Morgan gives all cold vibes but he is a sweetheart whose life has been controlled and ruled by his father. Lew is an honest and brave warrior. He is protective and cares a lot for Morgan.

Dane and Seren were introduced in the first book, Dane was rejected by Seren and heartbroken for years. Even though his heart was in pain he always was there for Seren to protect him. Seren had a reason for his rejection but now he yearns to take control of his life. It's a second-chance romance and hence I can't say much.

Overall it was average for me, low on angst. You good give it a chance if you love dragon shifter and fated mate kinda story. It did have a few amazing moments.

Dios me alegro muchísimo de haber leído este libro, al principio estaba medio escéptica porque Prince pensaba que Darren no lo quería y que lo veía como una molestia, sin embargo desde que leí por primera vez el punto de vista de Darren y ví que él también se quedó prendado de Prince desde que lo vió (aunque no sabía en ese momento por qué) solo me relajé y disfruté el viaje.
Y qué viaje, si se me permite decirlo, Prince con todo y su torpeza me pareció total y absolutamente adorable aunque me compadecí de él un par de veces porque el pobre de verdad terminaba metido en situaciones vergonzosas demasiado seguido.
Me encantó ver a Dane y Seren en este libro, verlos juntos y felices y siendo tan buenos con Prince (casi lloro cuando Seren admitió que lo estaba protegiendo😭❤️🩹)
Prince y Darren son demasiado lindos como pareja, uno todo tierno y vulnerable y el otro siendo serio y protector. Solo me hubiera gustado ver un poco más de ellos como pareja después de todos el tiempo que tardaron en finalmente juntarse.
Estoy ansiosa por leer al tierno y adorable nerd de los hoyuelos en las mejillas🥹❤️

Smooth romance
After the first two books this one was a little bit of a disappointment. It was solely focused on the romance and didn't have anything else to it particularly. Now this isn't necessarily bad, and some may even enjoy that more overall. It's just that the first two were a bit more complex with the whole societal issues of the pairings and some action in the general story. There was almost something hinted at that seemed interesting. Prince is rather clumsy and accident prone and it is pointed out that it is almost to the point of impossibility. The accidents that happen are at times so unlikely as to be unable to happen. It is mentioned that perhaps magic has some connection to it, then that is later just ignored. The biggest trouble in this is the two recognizing that they are mates, once they do everything is very smooth. A sweet romance and still a fascinating world, just a bit boring compared to the rest of the series.

Prince is perfectly adorable. After meeting him previously in the series, I was looking forward to seeing him find his mate. In stepped Darren, the gargoyle for the job. He was perfect for Prince.
I enjoyed seeing the other dragons that enchanted me in previous books. I always like catching up with characters I love. There is one character in this book that annoyed me for the way she treated Prince, and while Darren was there to protect him, I’d like to see her put solidly in her place.
Protecting Prince fit in perfectly with the “mine” mentality of the previous books. I love reading about dragons and other shifters because I love the whole mine, possessiveness, protectiveness factors. This dragon series is keeping me captivated.

How perfect to have an age gap/fated mates with an older protective gargoyle and a younger dragon shifter. While it's easy to be charmed by a klutz on screen, it can be difficult for me to fully embrace them in a written work. Often they just come across as irritating and even a bit dense. There was none of that problem here for me with Prince. Mainly I think, because he's clearly smitten with Darren and trying so, so hard to impress him and be the mate he thinks Darren deserves even when he thinks Darren isn't noticing. Darren is definitely noticing, but he can't see in himself what Prince sees. These two are just so perfect together that I was rooting for them all the way.

I enjoyed this book. Good world building and wonderful characters. Prince was sweet, and I thought him and Darren made a cute match. It was a bit of a slow burn romance with nice chemistry between the two. I've loved gargoyles ever since I was a kid (thank you Disney!), so a MM romance between a gargoyle and a dragon shifter wasn't something that I could pass up! I loved that dynamic. This is the first book I've read by this author and in this series, and I will definitely be reading more. 4 stars.

Oh, Prince, you sweet, sweet darling... This was the funniest and sweetest book yet. Prince is kind of a disaster-magnet, but he is also sweet, caring and deserves all the hugs!
One thing I like about this author is how the different personalities shine through the writing. Like Prince. He is a bit awkward and clumsy, but also unintentionally funny. So this book had more humor in it than others, because his personality just shined through like that. Darren was a bit harder to figure out, but he is good for Prince.
Overall, I love the series and its characters. There is just one question left - what happened to Alfie?! Where is his book?!

There is a special place in my heart for Prince. Living amongst family yet feeling so out of place, Prince tries and fails to find his place in the clan. He is loved, tolerated by some and avoided by others. He's so kind in spite of being rather crapped on by some of his family. I absolutely loved that Dane serves as a big brother role. This M/M age gap story was sweet and sometimes sad. I absolutely wanted to protect Prince at all costs, sometimes from Darren himself. Fast story which moves pretty quick. All around good read.

I adored Prince when he popped up in the second book, so I'm thrilled that he gets his fated mate here. Darren is a gargoyle, and it takes him a bit to realize Prince is his fated mate, but he is still attracted to him and can't figure out why. Prince is a walking accident, and his clumsiness makes his family think less of him. Darren stands up for him even before he knows they are mates. There is an age gap here, but Prince and Darren are ridiculously sweet together. All the family members are still here, creating trouble, and being fun to read about.

Third in an interesting shifter series. This time one of the MCs is a gargoyle, all the others have been dragons, which is very interesting. The perfect dragon family is not so perfect anymore, seeing as quite a few of them are very unkind to Prince. Prince has really been treated very badly by almost everyone, including his parents. There was very little plot in this book, it was focussed mostly on the characters, an additional story would have been welcome as this dragged a bit at times due to that lack.

Great addition to the series! Prince, is delightful. He is also incredibly clumsy. Accidents, just seem to find him any where, any time, any place! Nana, brings Darren Rockfell in as a security consultant. Prince senses him as his mate immediately. The journey Prince and Darren take is romantic. Prince, is an absolute sweetie. It's good to read Dane and Seren taking part of the journey with Prince. They are absolutely hysterical when they get together. Good story. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a really fun book- no real angst and much more humor than the first two books in the series. Darren was exactly what Prince needed. That sweet cinnamon roll was adorable. I did find a few of the family to be in need of a punch to the face for the way he had been treated. This book did standalone really the overall storyline of the first two books wasn’t developed so you could read this out of order. I’m looking forward to seeing who’s coming up next

Prince does not have a lot of confidence and tends to drop things and feel embarrassed when he is around Darren. Darren is not inclined to start anything with Prince or anyone else but fate does not line up behind inclinations. Darren does like Prince. Their fated mate story is cute and it was a good thing for Prince who needed someone strong and steady in his corner.

Great addition to the series! Prince, is delightful, in all his clumsy glory.

I discovered this series a while ago and I fell in love with the amazing dragons and their mates. I loved Prince so much and how sweet and cute was when trying to catch Darren's attention. Their story is one of the best of the series and my favorite so far. I can't wait to read the next books in the series and the special story for Christmas... So good!

I really liked how Prince and Darren love and support each other!
Clumsy Prince was a bit too clumsy for me, but Darren being so sweet on him was too precious. And the smut was fire again. I liked seeing all the mated characters again and ones that we will see in the next books. Felt like this book could have been shorter, but it was still a fun ride.

It's beautiful. I have loved every book in this series so far, but this one is my favorite. I can't wait to read the next book! Darren is so damn adorable. He's so kind and sweet to my clumsy little Prince. Gah, I love these two so much! Prince is a sweetheart. I love the hurt/comfort and found family tropes.

It was much better than I anticipated. I really enjoyed it. But my only complaint is the abrupt ending. Like someone forgot to include the last chapter. Everything else was wonderful. I can’t bring myself to give it less than 5⭐️ just because I wanted it to continue.

Poor Prince, he wants to be useful and helpful, yet due to being accidentprone, hes critized and belittled.
Darren is a protector, but he sees himself as too old for the gorgeous young dragon thats caught his attention.

Wow what a enjoyable series. Loved this story. Darren was a great character I loved him, and Prince is the perfect match for him. This was a great exciting story with a wonderful ending. This is a story that I couldn’t stop reading.

This is a sweet read and I loved how Prince was portrayed and the heartbreak he feels when he meets his mate, yet sacrifices the truth in order to protect Darren. But Darren feels a pull toward the younger, clumsy man. I like how their story played out with a bit of self-deprecation from both men.

Prince is so adorable and just wants to find love and his place. I'm not sure what I think about some of his family and you'll understand once you read which ones that I am talking about. Darren is simply the perfect mate for Prince, as soon as they work out some things.
