Cold Blooded Murder: Shocking True Stories of Killers and Psychopaths
Murder is the most vile crime known to man.
It can be triggered by love or money or sex. Those are the three big ticket items for homicide. But people are strange. They will kill for the most obscure and ridiculous of reasons. In 30 years covering murder, I have discovered each one has its own flavour. Cops and friends can be stunned by the evil lurking within a seemingly ordinary man or woman.
In this collection of some of the most memorable cases I've reported on, there are serial killers, rich kid monsters, football stars and wives in pursuit of hormone-charged hijinks… The very rich and the very poor. Successful lawyers and hotel executives. Southern belles who could melt butter with a come hither wink and a sexy drawl. Daddy’s girls with gleaming smiles, good marks and possessed by the devil.
These are stories of American crimes and they stretch from coast to coast.
You will find cheating husbands and wives so desperate for love that they’ll kill for it.
When the mob kills, it’s never personal. It’s strictly business. With the murderers in Cold Blooded Murder, it’s ALWAYS personal.

A really fascinating set of true crime stories from ones I recognise but didnt know that much about to ones I had never heard of.
Really well written, laying out the facts of each case, the twists and turns prior to resolution plus little after notes of where the criminals are now.
Fascinating insight and I really enjoyed it. If enjoyed is the right word given the subject matter.

A book for any follower of True Crime - Cold Blooded Murder by Brad Hunter is a well written book on a series of cases and crimes committed throughout the years.
Based in America, the book featured cruel murders and psychopathic killings and had a chapter dedicated to each one crime. Starting with the setting of the scene and an introduction to the persons involved and the persons of interest, the author did a good job at putting the readers mind into the how, what, why and when of the occurrences.
I found it was written delicately and respectfully, whilst also shedding light to the reader with the goings on and what had happened during the cases at the time. I also liked that there was a little post script at the end of every case chapter, updating the reader with proceedings and the current position on the case outcome. Books like these never fail to chill me and Brad Hunter dealt with the delicate subject matter very well. It definitely delivers on the title the book intends to give!
Thank you to the author and publishers for this book via NetGalley in return for my honest thoughts and review.

This was definitely one of those books that I was drawn too originally purely because of the cover (don't you just love a good front cover?).
This was a really fascinating read that had some tales of really brutal murders but at the same time as being engrossed at some of the crimes, other crimes had me just glancing over the pages.
Now I am a huge fan of True Crime whether it be on TV, in a book or a magazine but for some reason it just didnt fully hold my attention like I was expecting.
Did I enjoy it? Yes
Was I completely absorbed.?.. No
Would I recommend?.. No
Thanks to netgalley and Ad Lib Publishers for the ARC.

Loved it. Took me one evening to read it all.
Tales of real life Murders in America that I hadn’t heard about. The author has a very easy to read writing style and writes in a totally accessible way, explaining what certain things mean to non American readers.
Highly recommended to all fans of true crime.

It was okay. What interesting to she how others consider there best course of action. Good stories but to similar to each to make it constantly edge of seat stuff.

Such an interesting book on some stories which are probably less known than some. Couldn’t put the book down

I listened to the audio of this book and found it intriguing. I gave it four stars because it goes through a lot of stories we already know. If you’re a true crime buff you’ll probably be disappointed. Overall, not the worst, but could use some new content.

January 29, 2022This book was really interesting. Information about each case was concise and to the without being sensationalist.
I really liked that the cases were ones I've never heard before and not just the same high profile ones rehashed.
There are some seriously cold people in this world.
