The Liar Next Door

Rate this book
We live in a close-knit community. Thirty houses surrounding a square of garden that is perfect for our kids. We congregate here on major holidays, each family bringing a plate and sharing food and conversation. It’s in the garden that I first met her. The woman who would worm her way into my family and piece by piece tear it apart…

I should have known something was wrong from the very beginning. She seemed perfect in so many ways: she floated through the baby shower, a warm smile on her face, chatting to strangers with ease. At first I thought it was sweet that she offered to help me, that she made an effort to get to know us, that she brought over games and knew Luna’s favorite foods… I had no idea that I couldn’t trust another mother…

I should have known that someone would eventually discover the secret in my marriage. Why I never believe a word my husband says—and why he shouldn’t believe me. But how could a woman I only just met be the one to find it out?

If I’d known, I’d have called the police sooner.

And maybe I’d have prevented that dreadful scene. Every neighbor peering through their curtains as the sirens wailed in our street.

I could have protected my family.

I could have stopped what happened next…

Fans of Liane Moriarty, Sally Hepworth and The Girl on the Train will love this utterly unputdownable domestic thriller from USA Today bestselling author Nicola Marsh.

There are secrets. then there are Secrets and then there are SECRETS! Then there is the LIAR next door!

Secrets and lies make for one interesting block party!

Living in a close-knit community surrounding a garden sounds lovely. A place to get to know your neighbors, a place to raise your children, a place that on paper is ideal...but is it?

This book goes back and forth from Frankie's past to her present. But it is not all about Frankie, it is also about Celeste, and Saylor. All have a story to tell. All have things going on in their lives. Juicy things, sordid things, secrets, jealousy, and fears. Let's just say that there are some skeletons in the closet.

This was a gripping fast paced read. I chalk it up to a guilty pleasure all the way and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This book has a campy nighttime soap opera feel to it and it WORKED so well in this book. There are twists, there are turns, there are reveals, and there are some shake your head moments. But make no mistake - It's all about the connections, secrets and lies in this book!

I suggest going into this blind and enjoy where this book takes you!

Gripping, fast paced and dramatic!

Secrets. Lies. Obsession. Wow!

A scandalous tale focused on three women with seemingly normal lives. Frankie, a popular lifestyle vlogger, Celeste, a slightly awkward single mother and Saylor, a recently pregnant housewife. But all of them are hiding a secret, a secret that could ruin everything they tried so hard to build.

So puzzling and full of juicy revelations. I spent 40% of the book clueless about what's happening, how the lives of these almost perfect bunch are connected. Every character was interesting and morally questionable but I loved all of them. The book started a bit slow as we're introduced to the main characters one by one. But the suspense increased as the story went further. Some of these characters, you will love and hate at the same time.

If you are in for something scandalous and shameless. This book is highly recommended. A bit of a tear-jerker ending too.

The Liar Next Door by Nicola Marsh is sort of domestic suspense that slowly builds into a domestic thriller. The story in this one is told from multiple points of view switching between them with each chapter and also having some instances of diving into the past.

This story is one of three neighbors, Frankie, Celeste, and Saylor. The three women become friends in their neighborhood but each has their own secrets they aren’t sharing with their neighbors. Frankie, the perfect housewife and mother, has made a career on social media portraying that image. Celeste, the new neighbor who is hiding from her past. Saylor, the expectant mother to be with a loving husband.

The first thing I would say about this book is don’t pay any attention to the book blurb. I’ve actually seen two different ones for this book and neither really make much sense to me having read the story. I’m the type of reader that I add a book to my TBR and by the time I actually get to reading that one I’ve forgotten anything I may have read about it and that worked for me in this case.

Just know that if you like secrets, lies and of course some “perfect” people that are as far from perfect that you can find then this one might be for you. The story was the type that progresses at a decent pace then picks up the further you dive into the juicy details. It was suspenseful and engaging and as the twists came along it definitely kept me entertained.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

I wish to express my thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC of this psychological thriller in return for an honest review. The author, Nicola Marsh, proves that she can write a complex, readable, puzzling story. I realize I am in the minority here, as it wasn't working for me, although many readers rated it highly. The plot centers around 3 women, and their stories are told in alternate chapters. The two married women are concerned about their relationships with their husbands, feeling boredom, lack of excitement, or trust. They and the single mother all obsess over past lovers and ex-husbands. This gives us several male characters preoccupying the women's thoughts and whose names must be sorted out to avoid confusion.

All the characters have secrets they are withholding from those closest to them. There are lies of omission and commission. I did not find any of the characters particularly likable. In this small upscale community, there was adultery, one-night stands, deceptions, greed, questionable paternity, confusing name changes, lingering resentments, rages, and blackmail. There are multiple shocking twists and reveals. Many motives, actions, and emotions seemed to me to be implausible and over the top, which dulled the surprise and suspense. I felt less would have been more effective. I regret I failed to become emotionally invested in the character's tangled lives.

The story was brought to an intense and satisfactory conclusion. I think many fans of twisty, psychological mysteries will enjoy this book and should not be deterred by my misgivings. It just didn't keep me engaged. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3.

This is blurbed as a ‘daughter missing’ book but it is so so much more and in fact that part of the story only really accounts for the last 10% or so
It’s what leads up to it that had me transfixed, you know by now I LOVE a street/neighbours ‘do’ book and this has so many offshoots on this theme it’s to the authors credit it was kept together and worked so well
New neighbours, old secrets, past indiscretions, new dalliances, jealousy, street parties it’s all here with ( dare I use this word ) twist after twist after twist, and they really do keep coming and fast and good as well
I also liked the foray into being a Pastor’s ( Vicars ) kid re one of the characters, something I know a lot about but is rarely in books
All round great exciting read, kept me hooked, interested and surprised at most turns

When Frankie arrived home on her eighteenth birthday, she wasn’t expecting the sight in front of her. She also wasn’t expecting the revelations her mother gave her when she told her what she’d seen. The birthday party had already been arranged so Frankie tolerated it – but it was the meeting of Walter which changed her life. Escaping from home at eighteen hadn’t been in her thoughts until earlier that day, but Walter was willing to take her with him. Her parents didn’t agree but couldn’t stop her…

Around ten years later, Frankie was married to Andre and with five-year-old Luna they felt their lives were complete. But Frankie, while she loved Andre, wasn’t quite sure she could trust him. When Saylor and Lloyd had moved next door, Frankie and Andre had been surprised to receive an invitation to their gender reveal party with Saylor five months pregnant. It wasn’t their thing, but they would go to support them. When another woman arrived, who introduced herself as Celeste and her five-year-old daughter Vivienne, and she lived on the other side of Frankie and Andre, they felt an uneasy vibe around her. But gradually they all became friends.

Secrets surrounded all three families – even secrets kept from their husbands/wives. Luna and Vi became instant best friends (as only children can do) and Celeste was happy about it. She did her best to involve herself in both Frankie’s and Saylor’s lives, even while it made the women uncomfortable. But more was to happen – much more.

The Liar Next Door by Aussie author Nicola Marsh was a convoluted and deeply involved story which became confusing at times. With Frankie’s story there is a ‘then’ and ‘now’ section as we move through the story; the other women were in the ‘now’. Mystery, intrigue, betrayal and loss were part of The Liar Next Door, and although I didn’t enjoy this one as much as My Sister's Husband, I can still recommend it.

With thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for my digital ARC to read in exchange for an honest review.

Yes. Oh yes. This ticked every box on my tense thriller troops.
It reeled me in straight away.
Good rounded characters that you could imagine in reality, the good or bad ones.
My mind ticking over in who is telling the truth.
What was hidden?
That was my aim, find out what was hidden, why, how and what was it.

Untangling this weave was not easy. It kept me on my toes that’s for sure.

Whoever I read one of these authors books I have a good reading experience.

Three different women who live next door to each other, who all have secrets they'd like to keep. Frankie, Celeste and Saylor are all neighbours in a close knit community. Frankie is a social media star, Celeste is a single mother running from her past, and Saylor who is pregnant with her first child.

The story is from the three women's perspectives in alternating chapters. I couldn't take to any of the characters but couldn't stop reading the book either. We get revelations from the beginning. The secrets are all interconnected. I liked how this story unfolded.

This book had me thinking, re-thinking and re-thinking again, it is a compelling read that I found hard to put down three woman, neighbours drawn together through lies and secrets that ends in a shocking twist that had me on the edge of my seat, a must read, one to get the mind moving in this domestic thriller suspense.

Frankie Forbes, married to Andre they have one daughter five year old Luna, Frankie is a popular lifestyle vlogger always looks great everything seems to be perfect in their family, or is it? They love living in this close knit community surrounding the garden.

Saylor, married to Lloyd for nine months and five months pregnant with their first child, they have just moved there and seem eager to meet the neighbours and this starts with a gender revel party in the garden, but is all as it seems for this couple?

Celeste newly arrived in the neighbourhood, single mother with a five year old daughter Violette she is very keen to become friends with Frankie and for their daughters to become the best of friends, she seems very helpful and maybe over-friendly are there other motives involved?

These three woman have a lot going on in their lives, minds, are they linked in some sort of way or has fate bought them together? You really need to pick this one up there are so many twists and turns I truly had no idea what was going on but the pull to keep reading and find out was something that was hard to ignore, even when I had to put it down my mind was thinking about Frankie, Saylor and Celeste.

This is a fabulous book that I highly recommend, Nicola Marsh has pulled this story together so well, I loved how everything slowly pulled together bit by bit, lie by lie and the secrets, thank you MS Marsh for another unputdownable read.

My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for my copy to read.

The Liar Next Door is 300+ pages of exposition that keeps repeating over and over, chapter after chapter, the same information. The story is told from the POV of three women, their version told in alternating chapters. They each repeat their thoughts, their plan, their mission, and parts of their backstory at every turn. It was almost like each chapter was a Previously on... and it never goes anywhere significant. If you take away the repetition, this is a hundred page (at best) rough draft of a potentially interesting story.

Reading the first couple chapters, I thought I was going to be in love with this story, but I quickly became irritated by the constant telling and very little showing. The characters are one-dimensional, and quite honestly whiny jerks who were impossible to relate to on any level. The further I read, the more aggravating it became.

I forced myself to continue reading to see how it ended, but there was nothing gripping or impressive about any of it beyond the first chapter or two. It was predictable, flat, and unrealistic up to the very end.

I honestly had to look and see if perhaps this was the author's first book, but to my surprise she's written many. The writing is amateur and, frankly, juvenile. I'm not a fan of writing negative reviews, but someone has to point out the obvious here.

I do appreciate Bookouture and #NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review The Liar Next Door, and I'm sorry to have to relay such tragic feedback, but I have to be truthful--this was not a good book. It was the start of a good idea for a book.

SCANDALOUS

A slow burn to begin, what seemed like a subtle domestic thriller soon gathered pace as we hear each story from the POV our 3 main FMC Sailor, Celeste and Frankie, the story heightens and builds as lies, secrets and obsession spill into a frantic battle and I was literally tripping over the twists, I had a slight hunch, but there was more than one that I didn’t see coming!

Perfection comes at a price.

Great writing, fab narration.

3.75 🌟 can we have 1/2 stars at lease please?

How well do you think you know your neighbours, would you trust them? Watch how these families are blown apart by lies and deceit in this domestic psychological thriller.

The Liar Next Door by Nicola Marsh is set in a close knit community where thirty houses surround a lush green park square, perfect for both kids and adults to congregate and have playtime and parties.

Frankie has a thriving career as a lifestyle vlogger, she’s lived here at Hambridge Heights for five years. Frankie is married to Andre and they have a five year old daughter named Luna.

New neighbours have just moved into the street, a single mother Celeste and her daughter Violette. Saylor, twenty eight weeks pregnant and her husband Lloyd are also new to the neighbourhood.

These three neighbours, Frankie, Celeste, and Saylor all have their own stories, Frankie’s story is told in the present and the past. The story unfolds with a stack of drama and twists and a mountain of secrets are exposed.

I didn’t find any of the characters particularly likeable, except for the children Luna and Vi who instantly become best friends, they were sweet!

The story is entertaining, fast paced and a very easy read although there was a bit too much repetition at times.

I think readers who enjoy soap opera type fiction will absolutely love this book especially when things come undone and the lies, manipulation and scandals are exposed.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for a copy to read and review.

What an AMAZING BOOK!!!!!!! The first few chapters were a little slow. However as the book progressed, the suspense increased. This mystery/thriller/suspense has many twists I did not see coming. The plot of this book was very meticulously thought out, I'm in awe. I definitely recommend this book!!!

must admit I was intrigued when i read the synopsis of this book. And It did not let me down, so many terrific twists. And I find It amazing how far people are willing to go to protect their families. It was a rare treat to "look" into the Main characters brain. Were they twisted or normal? Read the book and you Will find out

Wow! I read this in 1 sitting and couldn't put it down.
Frankie is married and they have a daughter. He had cheated a few years ago but she forgave him. Now they are becoming friends with their neighbors and there is a gender reveal party for the couple next door that starts the book off. We find out Frankie had been married before, to walter and they talk once a year.
Celeste just moved into the neighborhood and is eager to be friends with Frankie and have her daughter and Frankie's daughter be best friends.
As we get to know all of these people you are wondering who do you trust. Are they who they seem to be. We know there is some blackmailing going on as well.
Things are not always as they seem and the ending, just wow.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC to review.

Frankie, Celeste, and Sailor. These 3 women are stupid beyond measure. Immature, dumb and irrational with zero common sense. Just unserious AF. I'm only halfway through but these characters are annoying and hard to digest.
One more thing is for sure, these are also very white privileged, entitled, self-important women. They have no sense of self-awareness, which is driving me insane. But they are also super messy, so I’m intrigued. Frankie is a sociopath. But she tries to fit in. Her husband, Andre is a fuckboy. Frankie is a total weirdo at heart and has no friends.
All 3 women are as pathetic as they are basic. At one point Frankie actually says, “I’m so tired of being perfect.” Girl what? All of these losers need therapy. The character of Walter who is Frankie’s ex is robotic and weird. He’s written like a psychopath. No personality and it’s so glaring. You expect an explanation like a head injury or again a fucking psychopath. But nothing the book just rolls with it.
Celeste is it fucking nuts from the start and it’s obvious. no way I would’ve been her friend. I probably would’ve knocked her the fuck out with all that mouth she had.

Sailor’s situation is so dumb. Because who the fuck as a grown ass adult is worried about their parents. And especially hers because they are bible thumping assholes who should have been to cut off yesterday. Sailor is stupid and immature but so are all of these characters.
Also: Frankie’s weird 18th birthday party need to be flashed out and not glossed over. If she had no friends who was at the party other than her parents friends? There needs to be more information about the party because if she was such a loser, why have a party in the first place?
About a third of the way in things get rolling. Shenanigans happen and the real MVP is in Ruston the end.

I’m not sure why Frankie is being nice to sailor instead of kicking her ass once the child is born. Sailor is TRASH. Again just stupid.
It must be a trend to have a story where everyone is trash and none of the characters are likable.

This was a twisty read, although I didn’t like the characters very much as they seemed very shallow and uncaring. But, saying that the twist at the end took my breath away as I just wasn’t expecting that. Sometimes this book seemed to good to be true especially the chapter with the social worker, which I guess just wouldn’t happen that easily in real life. I’m glad I’ve read it though and I will probably give Nicola Marsh’s books a read in the future. Both the narration and the story drove me nuts!

The audio version of this book was as annoying as all get out! Thank goodness it was free on Audible (some time ago). The story is one so full of ‘coincidences’ that it became unbelievable. Missing links and far flung connections made it over the top.

Not one I could recommend but others have enjoyed it.

I am excited to be taking part in the #BooksOnTour #BlogTour for Nicola Marsh's untputdownable domestic suspense THE LIAR NEXT DOOR.

As an Australia author, I assumed this book would be set here in the land down under but it is actually set in the north eastern states of America - New York, Connecticut and Long Island. Though to be honest, I can't recall where exactly the main setting of Hambridge Heights is, though where ever it may be it's only a two hour drive from New Haven. I assume it must be in a quiet leafy suburb of New York State since one of the characters often commutes to Manhattan.

But locales aside, THE LIAR NEXT DOOR sweeps you up into it's web from the very first page. And the tangled web in which we find ourselves entangled is a very sticky one to say the least. Just about everyone in the book is a liar...so which of them is "the liar next door"? One of them or all of them?

The opening prologue is intriguing, offering us nothing but the vague nuances of an onlooker from next door as the police tear into their quiet street, sirens blaring and lights flashing. If anyone were asleep they would certainly be awake now, twitching the curtains to get a good glimpse of the excitement unfolding before their eyes. But which of the neighbours is the one reflecting? It's not made entirely clear though I believe it to be the one left behind...

Frankie Forbes has the perfect life. Married to the gorgeous Andre with a delightful 5 year old daughter Luna. Lives in a beautiful brownstone in an exclusive area within a small community that looks out for each other. A lifestyle vlogger who personifies perfection in her live streams and videos, sharing tips on everything from fashion to cooking to motherhood...basically life in general. Her perfect life, her perfect marriage, her perfect daughter and perfect house are example of that perfect life that is symbolised online.

But it hasn't always been perfect. On her 18th birthday, Frankie arrived home to a surprise she never expected nor did she expect the revelations her mother revealed after she told her what she had seen. Her party had already been arranged and despite not wanting to celebrate, she tolerated it in front of all her parents' friends and the images that wouldn't escape her now she knew the truth about them. But that day also gave her a special gift she wasn't expecting...it was the day she met Walter nestled in the corner of her garden in the dark. It was that moment that changed her life. Together they escaped to a new life and six months later they were married. But less than four years later, Frankie realised as fond as she was of dependable unflappable Walter, she was in love with him. And so they went their separate ways but have always remained friends.

Now, Frankie is married to Andre and moved away to Hambridge Heights to begin a new life together. But deep inside Frankie has a secret. One that no one in their tight knit community knows. Not her friends, not her husband and definitely not her online viewers. If it were to come out, her life would be ruined.

Celeste is newly arrived in the neighbourhood, a single mother to shy 5 year old Violette, moving in next door to Frankie and Andre. Not knowing anyone in the community, Celeste is eager to make friends with her new neighbours and for their daughters to become best of friends. She is tight-lipped about her past but she has hinted to running from a relationship that ended up especially messy, hence their escape for a new start. But little Violette misses her father a great deal and begs her mother for a reconciliation so she may have the longed-for sibling she so often alludes to.

And then there is newly-married Saylor, a 25 year old young woman married to Lloyd and is five months pregnant with their first child. Moving into the house on the other side of Frankie just six weeks before, they hold a gender reveal party where they invite and meet their new neighbours. Running from her past, Saylor also has a secret she is keeping from her attentive and dependable husband. And then she sees a face from her past at their party who apparently lives in the neighbourhood. Did she move here on the pretext of seeing him again? Or is there a far deeper secret that she is keeping from her husband?

Don't be fooled by any of these women - they are all hiding something, making each one of them a liar. But then so are the men in their lives. It appears every single one of these people are liars. It's like an episode of Days of our Lives with all the to-ing and fro-ing, secrets and lies, blackmailing...and not to mention bed-hopping...going on! But these three women are inextricably linked, not just by being neighbours, but in other ways of which some of them are oblivious too.

The story unfolds through the eyes of each woman - Frankie, Celeste and Saylor - respectively. The only difference is that with Frankie's story we, as the reader, are privy to her past in her chapters which are marked "Then". So what beholds Frankie to these women? Which aspect of her past binds them? How and why? The questions continue to mount with each turn of the page as twist after twist propels us deeper into the story.

While THE LIAR NEXT DOOR begins at a relatively steady pace, it is a gradual build before the story really takes hold barreling us head first till the end. At first, I felt more invested in Frankie's past than in the present day story but that was merely to lull the reader into a false sense of security. There is no attempt to hide the fact that each of these women are inherently flawed characters, sometimes virtually unlikeable, though each are trying to make the best out of the bad choices and impulsive decisions they have made.

Honestly? I wasn't particularly enamoured by any of the women...probably because I knew they were all hiding something. If I had to choose one, it would be Frankie but then that may well be because we got more of her backstory so we could understand her better. Doesn't mean I approved of her choices but it helped empathising with her predicament. Of the men, one maybe two of them ended up surprising me! But my favourite of them all was Walter. Dear sweet dependable Walter. I didn't trust either Celeste or Saylor and I found myself tossing my ideas left, right and centre to see which one made the most sense of how they fit into the bigger picture. I puzzled it out correctly...all except for a couple of things, one of which I didn't see coming at all! But then the story was presented in such a way our focus is elsewhere that we end up taking our eye off the ball in another aspect.

Very cleverly written, THE LIAR NEXT DOOR is perfectly plotted and fast paced right up to the end. It is intense throughout with a satisfying conclusion. Nicola Marsh is a new-to-me author but if this book is anything to go by, I shall have to keep an eye out for more!

Right up there with Shalini Boland and Kim Slater, THE LIAR NEXT DOOR is a fantabulous tale of secrets, lies and deception at every turn. And it just takes the pull of one thread for the rest of the lies and the secrets to unravel bit by bit, piece by piece. Completely unputdownable and a highly addictive read.

Perfect for fans of Shalini Boland, K.L. Slater and domestic suspense thrillers.

I would like to thank #NicolaMarsh, #NetGalley and #Bookouture for an ARC of #TheLiarNextDoor in exchange for an honest review.

When you read a book like this, you *know* the relationships are going to get messy. But this one? It gets messy in very unexpected ways!

I was so involved with our three women: their friendships, their relationships and their secrets. I knew that there were all sort of hidden things going on and, while I was right about a couple of them, some took me completely by surprise.

Now, I’ll admit that most of the men in this book are…special. But one of them ended up being surprisingly awesome. Our women? Imperfect though all of them were – I loved them.

A surprisingly suspenseful beach read with secrets that just keep coming. Thoroughly enjoyed this!

‘I don’t make friends easily. I never have.’

Picture this: a close-knit neighbourhood, with thirty houses surrounding a garden square. Welcome to Vintage Circle in Hambridge Heights, Brooklyn. A perfect space for children and for neighbourhood gatherings, such as a baby shower. This story is centred around three women: Frankie; Celeste and Saylor, and their stories unfold in alternate chapters. Frankie and Saylor are married, Celeste has left her partner. Saylor is pregnant (it is her baby shower that draws the three women together); Frankie and Andre have a five-year-old daughter, Luna; and Celeste has five-year-old Violette. Each of the adults has secrets from those closest to them, and some of those secrets will prove dangerous.

‘So many secrets in this little neighbourhood of ours. So many lies.’

Fasten your seatbelt and prepare for a fast-paced story with several improbable twists. Ms Marsh has peopled her novel with (to me at least) thoroughly unlikeable characters for whom blackmail, deception, and resentment are primary motivators. Such lovely people! While there is certainly suspense and there are some elements of surprise, I found I did not care enough about most of the characters to care about how it would end. And yet I could not stop reading because I wanted to know. If you enjoy the drama of soap opera, then you may well enjoy this novel.

The Liar Next Door is a domestic thriller.

The book focuses on 3 women: Frankie, Celeste and Saylor (all 1st person POVs). Frankie's chapters are THEN and NOW. And the other women's chapters are in the present.

The women all live near each other in a close-knit community where 30 houses surround a garden.

30 year old Frankie is a popular lifestyle vlogger. She's married to Andre and they have a 5 year old daughter Luna.

38 year old Celeste and her daughter Violette move in next door.

26 year old Saylor and her husband Lloyd have been in their home for only a few weeks.

These three women are the focus of the story. None of them are super likable. But they all are hiding secrets.

This book is super twisty and I think that the author did a very good job weaving this story in unexpected ways. I read a lot of thrillers and I was surprised with many of the reveals.

Honestly when I saw the cover with the little girl I thought that she was going to be the liar. But the two kids in this book are lovely.

Even though all of the characters were hiding things I really enjoyed this book. I really liked Frankie's chapters from the past as I thought that added a lot to the story.

This is a fun and twisty thriller that I really enjoyed!

Thanks to netgalley and Bookouture for allowing me to read this book.

Tense and claustrophobic with a nail-biter of an ending! This drew me in so much I lost my Sunday - I had to find out what the heck was going on between these neighbours. narrative by three different women, all with their own set of problems, we gradually find out the link between them. Fabulously entertaining!

This was a fast-paced read with good twists. It centers on neighbors Frankie, Celeste, and Saylor, who forge a relationship initiated at a neighborhood barbeque. Each woman has secrets and some of those secrets hit closer to home for the rest of the group as more details are revealed. The book switches between the POV of each of the women.

The story moved at a fast clip and there were more than a few twists that surprised me. On the other hand, I didn't particularly like any of the 3 women and I thought that some of the things that happened were extremely implausible. That being said, I enjoyed the way that the author weaved the storylines together in unexpected ways, and found myself engaged the entire way through.

Overall, interesting and fast-paced read that will make you have to suspend your disbelief, but while on a wild ride! This is not the first book I have read by this author and will also not be the last. Thanks to NetGalley for providing me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
