If you're looking for a gritty, Slytherin!Hermione warfic, this is NOT it. However, if you're in the mood for a coming-of-age romance set against the backdrop of a war, this is the fluff you're looking for. While the premise promises espionage and underhanded dealings, they take a backseat to watching Hermione grow up and fall in love. Honestly, the first kiss had me laughing my head off and squealing all at the same time.

Fair warning: the last few chapters are going to be make or break for some readers; some people may love how the story resolves while others may be frustrated by it. This is an extremely fluffy fic that takes a left turn down Angst Avenue for like 3 chapters, and I found it pretty jarring. Others may not.

I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop because the whole premise Dumbledore suggested made zero sense and their spying didn’t seem to make a difference. I loved Sirius early on but idk his character seemed aloof at best- especially in year 4. Thought the twist would be Dumbledore killed her parents, but it seems the writer went in another direction. Didn’t really get the Theo romance either. Not really a fan of this one.
