My first time reading from this author! DAMN WHEN I CAN START WITH THIS ONE? WITH THIS FIRST BOOK OF THE SERIES? 😅😛 ITS A DARK ROMANCE WITH MANY MYSTERIOUS AND YES TRIANGLE ROMANCE. THIS IS ACTUALLY MY SECOND TIME (I THINK) READING A TRIANGLE LOVE STORY BUT THIS ONE IS FROM A BROTHERS… DAMN I WANT TO GIVE THIS A FIVE STARS BECAUSE ITS JUST A GOOD STORY FOR ME. BUT BECAUSE THERE ARE SCENES AND WORDS THAT PERSONALLY I FIND THAT VERY ANNOYING AND NOT RIGHT SO I GIVE IT FOUR INSTEAD. MAYBE FOR ME THIS IS A GOOD ONE AND THERE ARE SCENES MAYBE FOR ME ITS NOT RIGHT AND MAYBE RIGHT OR NOT RIGHT WITH YOU SO PLEASE DO NOT BE MAD🤪🤪
FIRST OF ALL…. THIS STORY IS IS ABOUT TWO BROTHERS WHO GREW UP WITH A VERY STUPID, BASTARD, DISGUSTING PIG FATHER EVER. WHY THEY STAY WITH HIM AFTER ALL THESE TIME? I DON’T KNOW. BUT BECAUSE WHAT THEIR FATHER IS AND HOW THEY GREW UP WITH THEIR CRUEL WORLD WITH THEIR FATHER WITH THEM, TWO BROTHERS DOESN’T HAVE A HEALTHY MINDSET TO BEGIN WITH ESPECIALLY THERE ARE SCENES WITH THEIR PAST PARTNER THAT BOTH SHARED TOGETHER AND VERY MUCH IN LOVED WITH… You will actually see that in the beginning so prepare yourself with a first scenes with past partner, bastard father and even other woman with one of the brother named coulter. The other woman is with coulter only, not with both of them. So i was pretty relief that broubon never brings another woman. Or go to another woman. He talks about the other woman from his past many years ago but never brings another woman physically in this present of the book. (BIG SPOILER) That brother named broubon is actually going to be with the heroine so yes again, I’m happy that he never brings another woman in the present time.
ITS a dark romance so prepared yourself. There’s action, violence and many dark and romance things going on with this part one of the book. I personally don’t like this part one as much as the second one because there was too much damaged going on at first, not that i can’t handle it but because the damaged involves with the heroes being so childish at times its pretty annoying at first for me. But because its so thrilling i kept going and i get to know why the heroes being the way they are😂 Its pretty fun and annoying to get to know the heroes in this first book… THE HEROES IS IN THE MAFIA…
This book is also easy to understand and not complicated to understand especially the dark stories in it. No unnecessary drama or nonsense…

So do not be worry about the heroine is with that other man😂

BUT THE HERO NAMED BOURBON ONLY COUPLE OF TIMES AND NEVER MUCH LIKE COULTER… they shared the past lover but they never have s*x with her at the same time, only separately just so you know…
‼️‼️‼️THE HERO NAMED BOURBON: HE IS A BIG MYSTERY ONE, COLD, HE LOVES TO KEPT EVERYTHING TO HIMSELF AND ALWAYS HIDES THINGS AND MORE MATURE THAN HIS YOUNGER BROTHER NAMED COULTER…
THE HERO NAMED COULTER:
He is childish, stubborn, doesn’t hide things like his older brother, very wild and have many damaged inside of him that took long for him to heal. He really loves his past partner and never hides his feelings about her, he always says that she is his true love and he really loves her so much. He even closes his eyes when he fcks someone else and pretend that is his past partner because thats how much he loves her… and that happens sooo many times and with all of the woman he’s been with… crazy. I know. He even steal the heroine because it was his past partner’s little sister because they are so very similar. At first i was so annoyed but at the same time while reading the book, i get it, he really loves that woman so he do anything to see her again physically even from her own sister herself… (SPOILER) In the second book he even fell to his knees in front of his past partner grave and cried. I said that because i want you to understand why he loves her so much and why he did what he did. When i see a man do something like that, it means he really loves that woman so deeply than anything else…
“She might not be lily, but she was close enough. I wouldn’t even have to close my eyes to pretend, not like i did with the other girls. Even if it wasn’t real, we could at least pretend she was Lily. Even if it was only for a few hours. I’d even fck her with him in the room, something we never did in the past, but I was so desperate.” (Him is the brother named bourbon)
“Dante would never understand the bond Bourbon and I had with Lily. No one ever would. Only us.”
“We could share her. Make her pretend to be Lily. You could fck her, tell her all the things you wish you could’ve told Lily.”
Before you get mad at the hero, he say that because the heroine at first was being so ungrateful and stupid and childish. They saved the heroine from the other man she’s with at the beginning that was so horrible to her, that other man always hit her and make sure she’s hurting pretty badly but never fck her. And when the hero named coulter saved her, she didn’t even say thank you or being nice. She was being rude at first and being a brat. So i agree at first when the hero named coulter and bourbon was being furious with the heroine because her attitude was so annoying. They saved her, provided things for her, take care of her and even given her things for her to draw because she likes to do that…
“This woman was terrible. Absolutely infuriating. Resentful. Ungrateful. She acted like she already hated me, and I’d yet to even do anything bad to her.”
But I’m happy to see the heroine after few days or maybe weeks, she finally learned how to be nice and appreciated the heroes… maybe she was too young to understand things thats why she was being a brat at first but idk cause there were mention of age 😂
At first i want to be mad at the heroes who is actually crazy sometimes but because both have been through a lot so i sympathize with them…

The heroes even declared a war between the enemies who also wants the heroine and even their father because they want the heroine so badly… at first they want her because she looks so much like her sister but then they realize they want her because she was her and she was so much more. They finally want her as rose herself, not because Lily her sister. Especially the hero named Bourbon.
“UNLIKE COULTER, IF I FCKED HER, SHE WOULD BE MINE.”
“BECAUSE IF I FCKED HER, I WOULD BE HERS, JUST AS MUCH AS SHE WOULD BE MINE. I WOULD NEVER LET HER GO.”
Coulter said: “I wanted to be with Rose, to breathe in the smell of her, to watch her eyes catch mine, to see her come undone under me.”

EVEN BEFORE THE HEROES TOUCHED THE HEROINE SEXUALLY, THE HEROES ARE LOYAL AND NEVER GO TO ANYONE ELSE EVER.

The hero coulter goes to work with a strip club he’s father owns and wants him to take care of it. Coulter did have another woman kissed his neck because he was hiding from the enemy so he made the stripper do that but after the enemy move away, he moves the stripper away. So i don’t think thats a bad thing because he was not being serious about it and he was trying to hide his face while he was looking at the enemies who came in the club. But he never touch another woman in a further way after he touch the heroine…
He even got mad that after he left the club and goes to the heroine, he still have the red lipstick from his neck and when the heroine see it she was mad and the hero was mad too 😂 mad to himself and that woman, not the heroine…
“I’d have let Lucy at her. Let the stupid b*tch suffer for making Rose doubt my devotion to her, for possibly ruining this chance for me.”

The heroes was gently and sweet to the heroine on her first time. They weren’t hard on her. They use protection!

Idk but thats so sweet of him🥺🥺🥺🥺 and that was fun to see as well…

At first i was so annoyed but at the same time while reading the book, i get it, he really loves that woman so he do anything to see her again physically even from her own sister herself… (SPOILER) In the second book he even fell to his knees in front of his past partner grave and cried. I said that because i want you to understand why he loves her so much and why he did what he did. When i see a man do something like that, it means he really loves that woman so deeply than anything else…
“She might not be lily, but she was close enough. I wouldn’t even have to close my eyes to pretend, not like i did with the other girls. Even if it wasn’t real, we could at least pretend she was Lily. Even if it was only for a few hours. I’d even fck her with him in the room, something we never did in the past, but I was so desperate.” (Him is the brother named bourbon)
“Dante would never understand the bond Bourbon and I had with Lily. No one ever would. Only us.”
“We could share her. Make her pretend to be Lily. You could fck her, tell her all the things you wish you could’ve told Lily.”
Before you get mad at the hero, he say that because the heroine at first was being so ungrateful and stupid and childish. They saved the heroine from the other man she’s with at the beginning that was so horrible to her, that other man always hit her and make sure she’s hurting pretty badly but never fck her. And when the hero named coulter saved her, she didn’t even say thank you or being nice. She was being rude at first and being a brat. So i agree at first when the hero named coulter and bourbon was being furious with the heroine because her attitude was so annoying. They saved her, provided things for her, take care of her and even given her things for her to draw because she likes to do that…

But I’m happy to see the heroine after few days or maybe weeks, she finally learned how to be nice and appreciated the heroes… maybe she was too young to understand things thats why she was being a brat at first but idk cause there were mention of age 😂
At first i want to be mad at the heroes who is actually crazy sometimes but because both have been through a lot so i sympathize with them…

The hero coulter goes to work with a strip club he’s father owns and wants him to take care of it. Coulter did have another woman kissed his neck because he was hiding from the enemy so he made the stripper do that but after the enemy move away, he moves the stripper away. So i don’t think thats a bad thing because he was not being serious about it and he was trying to hide his face while he was looking at the enemies who came in the club. But he never touch another woman in a further way after he touch the heroine…
He even got mad that after he left the club and goes to the heroine, he still have the red lipstick from his neck and when the heroine see it she was mad and the hero was mad too 😂 mad to himself and that woman, not the heroine…

Este libro no es lo que esperaba, a partir de la sinopsis supuse que ellos se habían conocido cuando eran chicos y que, gracias a un malentendido con la hermana, ella había huído, años después se reencontraban y ahí empezaba nuestra historia. Pero no fue así: resulta que los hermanos King tuvieron un amor adolescente intenso con la hermana pero ella fue asesinada dejándolos debastados, cuando años después ven a la protagonsta (que es igual a la dichosa hermana) se obsesionan con que quieren tenerla para fingir que su gran amor de la infancia aún está con ellos (lo cual es perturbador).
A ver, voy a ir por partes:
En un principio, y como anteriormente dije, me resulto muy perturbador que la motivación de los personajes masculinos para intentar forjar una relación con la protagonista fuera que se parecía a su ex-novia muerta. Es decir, no hay nada bueno en eso. Después las cosas mejoran un poco y nos damos cuenta de que uno de los hermanos en verdad busca ayudarla (porque sabe que la prota es hermana de su ex y pretende redimirse de su pasado salvándola) mejor? Si, pero no lo convierte en bueno.
Pasamos al hecho de que la secuestran, lo cual la autora intenta suavizar dando a entender que como la secuestran de otro secuestrador que la trataba mal (y los hermanos King jamás la tratarían mal) entonces no son tan malos y el tema de que IMPIDEN QUE LA CHICA SEA LIBRE no es tan terrible.
Entiendo que había un motivo lógico (todo el tema de que si no se quedaba con ellos, la Bratva la iba a encontrar y seguramente a matar), pero hay muchas formas de ayudar a alguien que no implican un maldito secuestro de por medio.
La única persona que actúa con un poco de sentido común es la protagonista, Rose. A ver, que enamorarte de tus secuestradores mafiosos probablemente no es lo mejor, pero la pobre no puede controlar el desarrollo de síndrome de estocolmo. Rose tiene un claro objetivo: cuidar a su hermana, cueste lo que cueste, y todas las desiciónes que toma van acordes al cumplimiento de dicho objetivo.
Con todo lo que dije parece que deteste el libro, pero no fue así. Entretiene y engancha MUCHO. Y a pesar de todo no creo que sea horrible.
Me gustó que al final ella se quedara con ambos, tiene sentido para mi. Hablando del final, te deja muy expectante por saber que pasará en el próximo libro.

Fierce King by Ivy Mason is the First book in the Dark Throne Series. This starts the story of Bourbon, Coulter and Rose. Bourbon and Coulter are the King Brother who have been raised by a evil father. The one bright spot in their life was Lily who they loved but then she died. That left them empty with more darkness. Then when they see Rose who strongly resembles Lily they both want her. But Rose is looking for her own answer's about Lily who she was told was killed by the Kings. This is a dark triangle romance that doesn't end with this book. Can't wait to read more / next installment.

What a story!!! I do love a good well written mafia read and this author handed it to me on a plate with Fierce King.
I’m hesitant to write about the story.. I recommend you read and feel this for yourself as it’s oh so good.
I do recommend you read House of Kings first to get more of a background story. I’m so looking forward to the next book in this series.

As soon as I found out about this book I couldn't wait to get into this story! I picked it up as soon as I could and ended up finishing it in one sitting. I enjoyed Fierce King!
This first book in this journey wasn't an easy one. I loved getting to dig deeper with each character and how every single one had me feeling so many different things! I wasn't sure what all was going to happen and I really liked how I was kept on my toes.
With Fierce King, Ms.Mason has created such a good read! Her writing was quick to grab my attention with this first book. I can't wait to find out what happens next in book two, Regal Queen! (:

I'm not necessarily big on taboo content but Fierce King kept me turning the pages despite the brother I preferred in this story. See, there are two brothers who lost a lover both of them wanted, so when they came upon another who was a dead ringer for said lover, she was kidnapped by them for a dark competition filled with all kinds of chaos but it wasn't long before it developed into something more meaningful for all involved. Of course, there are secrets which don't make friends, and those secrets are swirling about overhead waiting to be exposed which had me on the edge of my seat as the twists were coming in hot. I know I'm being deliberately vague, but I really don't want to give even the tiniest spoiler away since there are a lot of moving parts in the journey. It all leads to a HUGE cliffhanger so now the wait begins to see what will happen next! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. All I can say is OMG WOW!! This book was amazing. It sucked me in right from the start. Las Vegas mafia versus Russian mafia. Two brothers from a life a privilege and wealth, women whenever they wanted with just a flick of a finger but both tormented by an anguished past and a controlling domineering father. The sexual tension and passion is so thick you can cut it with a knife when both brothers fall for one girl that is a dead ringer for their special Lily who died years earlier. Bourbon holds secret guilt over his “involvement “ in Lily’s death and wants to have Rose as a “replacement “ for Lily but Bourbon’s brother Coulter wants Rose for himself also. Coulter being the wild child of the two decides to take things into his own hands and causes major problems for Bourbon who is trying to broker a deal with the Russians over their Vegas holdings. Kidnapping Rose and holding her hostage and forcing her to decide between the two brothers while each brother tries their best to seduce Rose and make her pick them. Unfortunately kidnapping Rose from the very Russian they are trying to negotiate with is a powder keg waiting to happen and the fall out s epic. Love the passion, seductive way this story is written. A must read!!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "FIERCE KING" This is an addicting story full of suspense, intrigue, sexual tension, secrets, lies, rivals, angst, danger, heartache, emotional turmoil, twists that have on the edge of your seat.
The Kings are brutal, dangerous, heartless, Mafia in Vegas their dark Underworld can be savage it took everything from Bourbon & his 1/2 brother Coulter the woman they both loved it changed their lives after they lost her.
Bourbon the eldest son always protected Coulter who was selfish, arrogant, cocky, he didn't do anything, all the responsibility was on Bourbon shoulders he always covered for Coulter with their father Nero who was a piece of crap.
Bourbon & Coulter 10years after Lily's death come face to face with Rose who's identical to Lily, at the meeting with the Russians to make a deal, it brought back alot of memories Coulter Kidnaps Rose from Dimitri thinking she's been abused & he wants her.
I definitely recommend to get this book so well worth the read so much happens, secrets revealed you didn't see coming what does this mean for Bourbon, Coulter & Rose the cliffhanger OMG!!! I can't wait for "REGAL QUEEN" the next book in this amazing series.

This book drew me from the beginning it is a very it is about a cruel mafia family of men that are the Kings that rule the Vegas Mafia world, they are cruel and can be very unforgiving and heartless men. Rose is introduced to them as a possession of one of their enemies and she just happens to look like a twin to a woman the brothers loved and lost tragically. Rose is their light and pure innocence after 10 years of darkness they faced after losing the only woman they thought they would ever love.

Bourbon, Coulter, and the lovely Rose
Bourbon is the eldest brother. He takes on a lot of responsibility and is a protector. But he also appears all business and stone cold.
Then we have the younger brother Coulter ... seems to do as he pleases with no regard. He is impulsive and reckless... yet also in Love....
Rose is a captive with a hatred for the Kings. She believes them responsible for the death of her sister Lily. ... who we learn grew up with Bourbon and Coulter but was betrayed and the father killed her and Borbon blames himself....
In the Prequel you learn about Lily and how both brothers love her and she them… she has a tragic death and it tears them apart in ways that hurts the brothers.
Until they see Rose… she reminds them completely of Lily.
Coulter decides he has to save her so he kidnaps her, not without consequences, and the brothers then begin to battle each other for her affection.
I love all the different personalities that mesh so well together....
even tho was a good read was not the type book to make me wish to continue... I may eventually come back for the rest of the series but ... for me was not a strong pull to see what happens...

I love all the different personalities that mesh so well together....
even tho was a good read was not the type book to make me wish to continue... I may eventually come back for the rest of the series but ... for me was not a strong pull to see what happens...

This book was absolutely enthralling from start to finish. I was sucked into this cruel mafia world with our two King brothers and did not want to come back out. If you have not read the prequel to Fierce Kings I highly recommend doing so as you’ll understand the emotions of Bourbon, Coulter and even Rose that much more. Rose is a mystery at the beginning of this book, she comes onto the scene and both brothers can’t quite figure out how or why but it doesn’t stop them from wanting her. Bourbon and Coulter are both damaged from their lifestyle and previous events (explained in the prequel) but inside they are both good people who are in bad circumstances. The sexual tension between Rose and the two brothers is intense! The chemistry she has with both are completely different from each other and it’s really a huge part of why this story is so amazing. I read this book so fast, I couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait for book 2, the cliffy here is brutal!

This is the 1st in a new series as well as being a new author to me, and what an outstanding job she has done in weaving this storyline. The Kings are two brothers who are tormented by a heartwrenching past, and the are brutal and ruthless and rule the Vegas mafia. When the brothers are introduced to a girl by their enemies, they are instantly enamoured as she is the dead ringer for a love that tragically died years before. They end up kidnapping this girl, but she hates them as she blames them for killing her sister. She is the light to her darkness, and the chemistry is combustible and undeniable. This is a complex love triangle with and intricate and in-depth plot, which is well written emotional roller coaster, which is filled with twists, secrets, angst, passion, and is a thrilling and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

On the Fence
I stumbled upon this book through a suggestion on another author's page. Its my first with this author and I'm having a hard time deciding if I'm invested enough to move on to the next book in the series. (This one ends on a cliffhanger)
I liked the basic idea of this story. I think the secrets that come out about the FMC are intriguing. I also liked the development of the relationship between the FMC and the two MMC's, who are brothers, and how it bonded the brothers' relationship with each other.
The issue I have, which seems to be an issue with many series that have multiple books to tell one story, is that the story falls flat and drags in areas. Instead of ending up with one really good book the story ends up dragging through multiple mediocre ones. To be fair I have only read this first book so maybe the second one gets really good, but I'm just not sure I got enough out of this first book to move on to the next one.

Firstly, you should read the free prequel before reading this book just so you have a little bit of a background. It’s brought up in the first half of this book but the prequel gives you a little bit more.
I wasn’t sure which way this book was going to go but I think that it worked. I like that different point of views were used for all three of the main characters. I felt like you really got to know them, however there were still some twists and turns. Especially at the end, I’m hoping a bit more in-depth explanation happens in the second.
I felt that this book was more focused on the relationship and a bit of other stories and politics. I think the next book a bit more action, more explanations, and maybe a conclusion. Not sure how many are in the series. This was a quick read, perfect for a day of relaxing.

This is the first book in this series by this author and the first book that I've read by them. What an amazing read this book was. This is the story of Bourbon, Coulter and Rose, these three characters have lots of sexual tension between them. This is an amazing story that sucks you in from the first page, keeping you reading long into the night. This story has love, hate, revenge and lust as its story line. This book will take you on a emotional roller coaster of a ride and with the twists and turns.

This book felt like sex scenes were just thrown to take up space and make the book longer. There were some repetitive sentences that were annoying.
Along the line is “the electricity between us sparked. The air between us shifted.” These were very recycled lines.
She Says she hates him but then sleeps with him right away. That’s not my problem with it, it’s the fact that she thinks he’s this cruel man and yet it he doesn’t do anything to win her over and but fucks her cause he thought she was cheating. Like huh????? How you gonna complain about him and give yourself up so easy????
I was actually happy when he told her he was releasing her from their marriage contract and she said “thank you.” Other books would’ve made her stay and shit and get over it but she left for one day before coming back to him and saying she wants to be with him.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat. Wondering how it would work out, this was a smutty mafia romance with a love triangle between two brothers and a woman they both desire, but they only start wanting her because she looks almost identical to their first love. So many twists and turns that kept me reading on, and wanting more. What a story! I couldn't put this book down. This book is like a rollercoaster, it will suck you in & you'll want to keep reading until the very end. Don't get me started on the ending of the first book. What an ending!!!!!! A big cliffhanger that I wasn't expecting. Will Coulter survive? Will they get Rose back? & Will Coulter and Rose forgive Bourbon for Lily's death? I can not wait to read the next book!!!

Going into this book, I was not sure what I was getting as this is the first book by the author that I have read. What I got was an intense and twisted ride that had me fully engaged from start to finish! This whole thing with Bourbon and Coulter is so crazy but then you add Rose who is literally a dead ringer for the love of their life that they lost years prior. What we get is a roller coaster of intensity and so many moments where you are asking yourself if that just happened. I am so intrigued to see what else is to come with this series!

Whilst i liked the twist in this dark novel, i can not help but feel that something was left out" like a key ingredient to gramps famous lime pie. This novel leaves you on a cliff hanger, its not a standalone mores the pity. Liked all the characters as well as the plot so far.. I would of loved to of felt the emotions jumping out at me from the pages, with this novel but sadly they were just not there for me. Any way its a dark steamy novel, packed with all the danger that you would expect from a Mafia novel.
