I love how Hazel Taylor is able to portray her characters so that you feel you know them. Raina, Theo, Ursula, Beth could all be people you know. I love how Raina finds herself after the shock of having her husband give her a deadline to be out of their home. I really love when she finally tells him off. It finally gives her the freedom to grow. I don't want to give away too much of the story but I do urge you to get this book. I really enjoyed it.
Raina has a strange view of relationships. Perhaps her parents' views as disclosed late in the book may have influenced her. Theo's mother Beth seems like the kind of person everyone would like to know. Several things are going on in the book - Raina's unplanned stop in Aria, her relationship with Ursula and Theo, their relationship, Theo's job, Ursula running for mayor, the current sneaky mayor, and Beth's illness. I think if there is another book with these characters, I would read it.
Meet Raina! A surprisingly moving start to a new series! Given an ultimatum from her husband, Raina packs up and heads to Colorado for a fresh start. She lands in small Aria, a town which is full of quirky new people and opportunities to explore. Can't wait to see what happens next at this second chance!
Wow, this sure was an exciting story. Raina discovered that her husband no longer wanted to be married to her. She packed up and was trying to go to Denver, where her parents lived. Her car broke down in a little town of Aria. She was towed to a repair shop that a lady ran named Ursula. Just the beginning of finding new friends, new love, and discovering more about herself. Enjoy this wonderful story.
I liked Theo, Raina, Beth, Ursula r in the book; in fact, I liked every character in "Broken Down.". I liked the storyline, it made sense ; in fact any readers who has ever been a part if a small town can relate to the book.
