This is the first part of ‘The Oath’ duet in The Valentini Family series.

In her back list you can find some MM, MF, MFM and Why Choose romances. HEA guaranteed!
When not writing Serena is either reading, traveling or coloring.
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK? This has got to be the weirdest, most fucked up thing I've ever read. AND THE CROWN FOR THE SLUTTIEST VIRGIN GOES TO THIS HEROINE She was a virgin but she's been having anal sex for years? for money I don't know which one threw me off the most. Yeah, I have no words... 😬😬
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
She was a witch... A witch who'd enchanted me. Bedeviled me. Tormented me. I was more than okay with that, so long as I enslaved her in return.
So...real talk. When a book starts off with the butt stuff and still manages to deliver on the sexual tension, you know I'm all over it, right? Right.
But really, I'm a sucker for a good mafia romance. I got introduced to Serena's writing with Storm and became an insta fan. The second I saw the promotion of this duet, I was itching to get my grabby little hands on it. I already knew the woman can deliver some grit and I needed my fix.
The Don is book one of The Valenti Family duet and interconnects with her Five Points series. Now I haven't read that series yet, but had no problems understanding the nuances of the various relationships here. Jen is Aoife's best friend from Filthy. This was a heroine I instantly connected with. And not just because she has the balls to barge into a Don's office and demand butt stuff, but because the woman is simply kick ass. She's a self professed gold digger and daughter of a whore, who has had to fight for everything she has. A chance meeting with Luciu inevitably changes the course of her life. She knows he's mafia, she knows he's dangerous but yet she can't stay away from him.
Now I'm not usually a fan of insta anything. And there's definitely some insta lust here that skates the edge of insta love, which isn't usually my cuppa. And when I tell you that, I mean Luciu falls first which is my cuppa. So I'm invested here.
The majority of this book focuses on their budding relationship, which admittedly did feel a bit too lengthy for me. Don't get me wrong, the sexy times were hot, but I wanted more meat to the bones of this story too, which only began to take place at the end. And then the cliffhanger hits you with all the subtlety of a ten by four and I'm dying for book 2. Did I enjoy this? Absolutely. Do I need book two? Desperately! Should you read it? Yes m'am. If you love a good mafia romance, check this out.
ARC courtesy of author in exchange for an honest review
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝗻, part one of 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝘂𝗲𝘁, in 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗶 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 by Serena Akeroyd. Part 2, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝘆 is releasing soon after.
I did not expect such a swoony, sweet, yet dominant and sexy hero! Luciu Valentini is loving towards Jen and treats her like the queen she deservs to be treated as, yet is still a dangerous mafia Don you don’t want to F with.
Luciu Valentini is new to New York City and makes a name for himself as the he steps up as the head of the NYC Sicilian Mafia. Not Italian, 𝘚𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘯. Luciu made his way to the top after everything was taken from his family. The new Don, who is also a nightclub owner has a reputation as a ruthless killer. We see Lucio’s rise and his thought processes that are deep and intelligent. I loved Luciu’s brilliance. He’s an educated MBA graduate that happened to take over the family business, yet it was never what he planned for. His brain was as attractive as his body. He was very intuitive towards our heroine Jen.
I have loved Jennifer (Fi) Mac Neill since meeting her in the first book, 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆in the 𝗙𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀' 𝗠𝗼𝗯 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀. Jen is Aoife’s best friend who I had no idea is as layered as she is. I loved Jen’s character and the way she progressed throughout the novel finding herself and letting Luciu in. I wasn’t aware of how sad her background was. Still, she’s a hard worker and is doing everything she can to get out of trouble and get out of the 'hood. I loved her no crap personality! She reminds me of myself.
Jen and Luciu’s worlds collide and from the first meeting, it’s steamy and dirty. He steps in as a protector and the ultimate alpha boyfriend. I loved the ending and can’t wait for the second book. There are many elements I am dying to know about.
As always, Serena Akeroyd writes a thorough, well told, and diverse mafia romance novel.
I am so grateful to have received an ARC and am leaving my review voluntarily.
Serena Akeroyd writes the most delicious mafia stories. They shine brightly, blindingly, or they are as dark as midnight, both scenarios are sensational! Jen is a young woman who has had a hard life, and is a self professed gold digger. But when she meets Luc, it was instantaneous and visceral, a coming together of two people to become one. But of course Jen fights this pull, but Luc is unrelenting in his pursuit to change her mind. I love how this story began, it drew me in immediately, and I could not put it down until the very end. Someday I would like to be on a beach and read all these stories, in order, from start to finish. I think it would be spectacular to reconnect with these characters again. 6 anguishing and loving stars!
This is a dark mafia romance and a spin-off from the five points series. Jen who I have loved all through that series finally gets her piece of the pie in the form of Sicilian Don Luciu. We were introduced to his character during Savannah and Aiden’s story and here we get to delve directly into the man that’s taking over from the Italians. A goal he’s been working towards for years as revenge for crimes committed against his family.
Luciu is ruthless cold and comes with a reputation he knows exactly what he wants and from the instant he encounters Jen he’s transfixed. Despite having her investigated and with full disclosure of her background and past encounters he still wants her for his own. He sees past all the bullshit and self destructive tendencies to the woman within. He likes snarky Jen and accepts her for exactly who she is.
Jen, well she managed to surprise me I’ll admit I had initial preconceptions but there is so much more to Jen than is apparent on the surface she definitely struggles with her own self worth choosing to sell herself short after a lifetime of being knocked down and betrayed. Her experiences have only assisted in reinforcing her belief that she needs to look out for number one. Jen believes she only has one saleable asset herself and she uses this sexuality to get what she wants her appearance and clothes are her armour. Luciu is the first man to make her feel that she’s worth so much more than what she’s been used too and despite her initial reservations Jen falls hook line and sinker for a man who wants too own every part of her.
This was well written and hot and Luciu and Jen have so much chemistry together. This is tied into the same world as The five points and the Sinners MC so there is some character crossover but it’s a stand-alone and also completely separate. It concludes on a minor cliffy with the next book already out.
I liked both Luciu and Jen a lot I especially liked that she wasn’t a conventional heroine and that Luciu didn’t judge or hold her accountable for her past especially considering he also I’m sure has an equally lurid one as her. I found this particularly refreshing the lack of Judgment on his part. I’m interested in seeing what happens next with this it was such an easy read that drew me in and I definitely enjoyed myself.
OMG, so I fell in love with all of the O’Donnelly’s one by one, and prior to Filthy Hot, I always expected Jen to end up with Aiden Jr. I was so wrong, Luciu is freaking EVERYTHING. I loved him from the start, he treats Jen like a queen the entire time, and the love scenes are steammmmy! I hope everyone is ready for this Sicilian takeover, it was an amazing read. I love Luciu’s possessiveness and protectiveness towards Jenn, he never lets anyone disrespect her. He has such a way with words, always saying the right things. Jen takes a little longer to open up but when she does the steam level goes through the roof! We get visits from some of our favorite Five Point characters, letting their intricate, series connecting story get even crazier. To get the full effect, start with FILTHY and go from there, you won’t regret it. Can’t wait for book 2 and the rest of this amazing series.
This book is one hot and sexy read! You know you are in for a great ride when the first chapter literally starts out with with a hot scene! Luciu is introduced to us in the previous Filthy Fecker book, this is when he first lays eyes on Jen and in that scene you could feel the heat crackling between them then. Luciu accepts Fi (Jen) for who she is and sees past all that she has been in the past, he only sees what he want in the future and what she can be. His Queen! I loved all the familiar faces that pop up throughout the book, if you haven't read all of Serena's books you wouldn't have connected some of the characters from the previous books especially when Luciu goes to Aspen to meet with the person who had the crown. It was great to see old friends again. Serena has a way with words that just makes you fall in love with her characters and I definitely fell for Luciu, his using Sicilian words here and there was hot! His sole purpose to become the Don to claim his rightful place as a Sicilian as the head of the famiggilia instead of an Italian, his smarts, his love of family and the way he was under the radar for ten years before asking for the O'Ddonely's help shows how patient he is. The cliffhanger was not so much of a surprise, but we won't have long to wait for The Lady to come out, but it make me want to do a re-read right away already. I loved this story so much.
Review of the audiobook: Joe Arden as Luciu was amazingly Hot. listening to him speak the Sicilian words were absolutely 100% panty melting. He and CJ Bloom brought The Don to life and really made it even better than just reading the words. I highly recommend getting the audiobook and listening to these two bring The Don to life. careful ladies, you might have to change a few times. 🥵🔥
The Don is the first book of the Oath Duet: An Italian Mafia Romance by Serena Akeroyd. It does end on a cliffhanger and will conclude with The Lady. Additionally, while not necessary, it is best appreciated after reading Filthy Hot. Luciu Valentini has finally moved into place to become the new Don of Manhattan. This Sicilian has a couple things on his list to do 1) remove the last of the Italians 2) find his family’s missing jewels. What’s NOT on his list is finding his Queen in a chance meeting with all the danger and uncertainty still swirling around him. But fate doesn’t care about the good order of things and Luciu knows the minute they meet that she’s the one.
What a hot and intense ride! Serena provides the most dark, twisted, and steamy reads - there are just so many moving parts, but that’s what makes Serena one of my favorite authors. You never quite know what is going to be the little detail that unlocks the story for you and there is just so much suspense and intrigue coming from every direction. As always, the character development is phenomenal. Jen is not the typical heroine. She has an attitude problem. She is a flagrant user of men. She’s used her body to get the things she wants out of life, but even then, she’s managed to hang onto something for herself. Jen is what she is because that’s what Jen’s learned to survive. She is undervalued and always underestimated and she uses that to her advantage. She can be savage, but it's completely understood in relation to her past, but it’s her resulting underlying vulnerability that draws Luciu in first.
Luciu is super hot and magnetic man that works on instinct. He’s super protective of Jen right from the start and values her for her strength and that she aggressively goes after what she wants. He views her unbendable will as the perfect complement and what he’s looking for in his Queen. I love that two of them are more alike then what it first seems. They’ve both done distasteful things on the path to where they want to be, but have depths to them that aren’t appreciated at first glance. The chemistry between them is super hot from page one and the smexy times are FILTHY in the best, hottest of ways. If you’re looking for a book with a strong female lead and the powerful man that appreciates them, look no further!
Wish I had a bit more talent to make this into a funny review.
DNF at 15% but really, I'd had enough after the first 2-3 pages. That's a new record for me!
My general feeling right now: ickiness. Why? you may ask. Well, the female character is a virgin anatomically but she's having lots of other sex, which I got to witness from the first page. Confused? Yep, so was I. But mostly feeling icky.
My top quotes from the inspiring female character below. The guy actually seems ok.
"He was the beautiful one, though, and drowning in a look from him was headier than walking into a room with a dozen stoners smoking pot."
"His control was lust-inducing. His arousal was inspiring."
"It was really difficult for me to get off, mostly because sex was a weapon, a tool I used to get what I wanted(...)"
How do you know when an author has created a winning new cast of characters? When you finish the book and immediately miss them. I literally finished reading The Don and one of my first thoughts was how soon is too soon for a reread? The other thought was holy goodness what just happened?
Luciu and Jen’s chemistry is undeniable from the very first page. Luciu was in no way looking for a queen when he meets Jen, the top of his to do list was to reclaim the famiglia for the Sicilians. However, this new Don can multitask with working on reclaiming his throne and wooing the woman. Jen is definitely the leading lady you didn’t know you needed. I will admit to being skeptical about her, however, learning her backstory and what makes her tick will have you rooting for Luciu as he works his way into her heart.
This book is going to make you laugh, it will definitely make you swoon, because who doesn’t love a man who says sweet nothings in Sicilian. It will also make you go what in the world just happened in the way that only a Serena Akeroyd book can. Thank heavens this cliffhanger will be short lived because I need The Lady to answer all my questions!!
Leave it to Serena Akeroyd to take what should be an archetypal mafia love story and turn it on its head! The Don was everything a mafia romance should be and so much more. Move over Italians. The Sicilians have arrived! What’s the difference? Oh, duci, let me count the ways! First, The Don is book one of The Oath Duet, the first of three duets in this series (a spinoff in the world of the Five Points Mob Universe).
Next, let’s talk about the fact that this mafia Don is not your typical Italian. No, the new head of the Famiglia, or should I say Famigghia, in New York City is Luciu Valentini. Dangerous. Ruthless. Intelligent. Dominant. Possessive. Gorgeous. Sexy. And Sicilian! He knows what he wants and he knows how to go after it. He wanted the mantle of Don after it was stolen from his family years before. He got it. And now, he wants her.
Jen MacNeill. Smart. Independent. Fierce. Beautiful. Sexy. Dangerous in her own right. And she just found out a secret that has upended her world. Dealing with a cheating ex-boyfriend, a big lie from her BFF, a crappy job, and family drama, getting involved with Luciu is the last thing she should want. But there is something about him that she just can’t quite get enough of and he may be exactly what she needs.
The Don is a sexy, steamy, sultry love story, set amid the backdrop of the tumultuous times that plague NYC’s underworld. Shake ups occur to the leadership of two of the three top crime families in the city. Thus, we follow Luciu’s ascent to the throne, while simultaneously romancing his queen. And the end of this one, will leave you pining for this duet’s conclusion, The Lady. Thankfully, we do not have to wait too long!
A fast-paced, emotional, seductive, and sensual 5-star read! This story is not to be missed, capisci?
The Don is another stunning book by one of my favorite authors! I couldn't have even guessed what would happen in this book! I read the first chapter as a sneak peak and was hooked! I love Luciu and Jen together. They complete each other and I think that's amazing! But the cliffhanger, oh the cliffhanger! I need The Lady Asap! I love the story, the writing is amazing as always with Serena Akeroyds books. I'd recommend reading all her Mafia books. She just has a way with words!
Serena nailed it!! I can't wait for the next book. LEGIT!! I was so excited to read The Don when Serena dropped the first chap, and now having read it, all my expectations were met. Serena's women are not all of the same cloth. Sometimes it makes me a lil mad, but overall, I usually love them since I prefer the female main characters anyway. Luc is incredible and a complete hottie. Gimme book 2 now! It's been a Serena summer! BYEEEEEEE
Joe Arden makes the best Luciu! The way he says some of the words would make anyone melt! The hotter scenes were that much better because of his voice.
CJ Bloom was the perfect Jen. Her voice matched the character perfectly! All of her sass came to life.
I loved The Don when it first came out and this audiobook has made me fall in love even more! I can't wait for The Lady to come out as I know it will be fantastic!
A must read!! I have read almost everything by Serena Akeroyd and as with anything written by the amazing Serena, The Don did not disappoint at all. I was very interested to see what his story was going to be like after reading Filthy Hot and man oh man I was not disappointed.
Luciu Luciu Luciu oh how I love you!! What an amazing first half of Luciu and Fi's (Jen's) story! The first chapter starts off with a BANG and it keeps you interested and invested in these characters throughout the entire book.
I loved Luciu's protectiveness, possessiveness and caring for Jen. He saw her, not what she showed to everyone but her, and I loved it! Jen is a badass. I loved that she didn't take any crap from anyone and I was glad that she didn't just forgive Savvie for what happened in Filthy Hot. To understand what that is you don't necessarily have to read the Filthy series but I highly recommend it because this duet is part of that universe, and it is so worth it.
I loved that they didn't keep anything from each other., except who her bio father is, but in my mind she is still coming to terms with that herself. They were very open and honest and it was totally different than the normal secrets and lies and that was really refreshing. Their banter I could just read and read and read.
Now for that ending!, don't worry no spoilers! I need The Lady like right now to know what is going to happen! Thank the sweet lords that we don't have to wait very long at all for September 2 to be here. Who is she???? Why did she say what she said she was?? What did they get Luciu for?? I need answers! My mind does not do well with Cliffy’s….. ahhhhh
Oh My Goodness!!! This book was fire, like amazing!! I have loved all of Serena’s books, especially the ones in this combined world but The Don… hands down the best! I was so ready to see their story after the end of Filthy Hot and it did not disappoint one bit! Luciu and Jen were written so well. Each character was so unique and alluring. I especially love their connection with one another and just how hot and possessive Luciu is of Jen. I definitely enjoyed the temper Jen always had in store ready for him as well. The plot kept me hooked and that cliffhanger..oh man. Not going to give any spoilers but mannn this book has me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what else is in store for us. The number of clues and hints mixed in from the Five Points as well left me so happy. I highly highly recommend this duet and I can not wait until book two, to see what is in store for this amazing powerhouse couple!
Jen, so used to having to look after herself keeps finding herself drawn to Luc, she knows she shouldn’t!! He’s everything she says she shouldn’t ever go near, would break every rule she has for herself but still….. Luciu, when I saw her across the restaurant that first time he knew his life was going to change because of her. Something about Jennifer called out to him but he had to finish what had been started 10 years ago, could he finally claim his seat as the ‘Don’ and pursue her? Once again this author has written an amazing book and has left me on the edge of my seat with a cliffhanger leading to part 2!! I can’t wait!!
Absolutely amazing read! The Don (part 1 of the Oath Duet) starts off with a fiery bang on page one, and really doesn't stop the entire book.
Luciu Valentini, the MMC, is the new Sicilian Don in New York. He has so many layers that make up his person.. from fierce protector to sweet talking caretaker and everything in-between. His obsession and love for Jen, the FMC, could make the hardest heart swoon. What man can smite down your enemy one day, and then watch a chick-flick the next, simply because you tell him he reminds you of a character in the movie? Only Luciu.
We met Jen in a couple previous books, but get to know the real person she is in this story. I love how she completely owns who she is, faults and all, with zero apologies for it. I believe this is a huge part of the attraction Luciu has toward her. The chemistry between the two of them was off the charts and some of the steamiest encounters I've read.
While the book does end on a cliffhanger, we will get our answers soon in the conclusion, the upcoming release of The Lady!
I’m Sicilian and I couldn’t wait for a book about a mafia Don that’s Sicilian and not Italian. It’s such a nice distinction. Gosh is Luciu hot. He’s hot when he’s angry, sexy, ready to kill, romancing Jen, etc. etc. He’s just fire. I’m glad that Jen is feisty and not some innocent doormat. She’s a fiery as Luciu, and they are an awesome pairing. I love Sicilian curse, spells, and prophecies. You don’t get much more Sicilian than playing into superstitions and otherworldly influences, so the plot line with the jewelry is fascinating and well thought out for this story. As always Serena’s secondary characters are also interesting and as a reader I’m always hoping and praying that they get their own stories. Top of my list is Stan and of course Aurora who we haven’t met yet. I cannot wait for the second book in this duet, The Lady, to be released.
Serena Akeroyd is hands down one of my favorite authors when it comes to mafia and dark romance!
This book was everything I hoped it would be. I’ve needed to know more about Jen (and have been wanting her to hook-up with a hot mafia man) since book one and let me tell you…Serena knocked this story out of the park.
From beginning to end this story was perfection. It had the perfect amount of suspense, darkness, and steamy moments to have me wanting to throw my book because I needed more. This book has a serious cliffhanger, but it couldn’t have ended at a better point.
‘The Don’ is an awesome addition to Serena’s mafia world, and I can’t wait for ‘The Lady’! I have a feeling we are in for even more steamy and dark moments from Jen and Luciu!!
This book was hot and sexy AF! You know a book is gonna be good when you Comin out the gate with hot sexy time! Yessss hunny!!! I really love Luciu and how he was able to connect with Jen and break down her hardened walls and he saw her for who she truly is and not what her past has made her out to be. These two were off the charts hot! This ride was dark, dirty and everything you need in your life. This author has an amazing way of writing her characters and building this entire world that you can’t help but want to be apart of. I loved getting to see cameos from some of my favorite characters. While The Don does end in a cliffy we don’t have long to wait for The Lady!
The Don by Serena Akeroyd is something different from what I expected from this mafia romance. While it is explosive and dirty and steamy like you want your mafia romance to be, the characters had a surprising depth and very intense emotional spectrum.
The story is set in New York mafia world. Luciu Valentini has come from Sicily to take revenge on the family running the Famiglia and finally he has taken down them. He is the new don. But his challenges have not ended. Rather..they just began. Jen "Fionnabhair" O'donell has just discovered some shocking truths about her true identity and on that stormy night, she meets Luciu.
I haven't read the previous books in this world and I feel that hindered me from fully enjoying the story. The story started in a super steamy way and the chemistry was definitely electrifying. Insta chemistry. But Jen wanted it to be only sex and Luciu doesn't roll that way. So begins the cat and mouse game with emotional ups and downs. Luciu was dominant, possessive, powerful and bossy but he also has an unexpected intellectual and soulful side. I loved that a ruthless mob boss can be so thoughtful and kind. Jen has a very colourful personality. She has suffered a lot of pain and trauma and she is determined to make something out of herself. Even if that means using her body and face to take advantage of rich and powerful men. Luciu didn't act as her expectations at all and I slowly see that Jen has so many layers. It was a bit slow paced for me. I was tempted to skim the pages and get to the part where things are happening.
I am eager to know what will happen in the conclusion of the Oath duet as Serena Akeroyd has woven a tale of deceptions, secrets and violence.
The Don starts off with one of the steamiest beginnings out there; the chemistry between Jen and Luciu is off the charts!
With instant and consuming passion, Jen and Luc's story begins with almost a fated type of connection, but there's no easy journey here. Fighting tooth and nail, Jen is determined not to fall and Luciu is determined to make her his.
Jen is a self-proclaimed gold digger. With a rotten childhood and a hard-won path to success, she's a beautifully broken heroine with a sassy mouth, big heart, and unending loyalty once earned.
Luciu is my definition of perfection. Dark, brooding, violence emanating off of every inch, he's a complete fool for Jen. He anticipates her wants and insecurities, instantly putting them to rest. He spoils her, and he loves her. Embraces her, flaws and all.
With one heck of a cliffhanger ending, I'm so happy The Lady follows close behind. It's riveting, calculative, and masterfully written. Plus, it's got steam for days!
Luciu's and Jen's sexual chemistry is off the charts steamy , from the first second we see them together. Jen is a badass that shows she's worthy of being with The Don. Luciu is hot as sin and knows exactly what he wants and that is his Lady. Even though this is the start of a brand new series we still get to see some characters we have all grown to love, that got me super excited. Saying that we also got to see new characters and i can't wait to see if Serena makes their books come to life. OMG Serena has done it again. My mind is blown wow what an ending. I need to read the lady right now , this cliffhanger is going to haunt me until release day of The Lady. If i could i would give this book more than five stars but i can't so five stars it is. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Luciu is a dominant man when comes to women and when he saw Jennifer for the first time across the restaurant, he knew her life was in for a change, but he has unfinished business that had been started 10yr’s ago. Could he continue to pursue Jen after he finally claims his seat as Don. Jen has always looked after herself, her first glance at Luc draws her to him like a magnet. He’s everything she shouldn’t go near, she knows the rules, but can’t break away from that sinful man. What an amazing book. Brilliantly written, a book packed with thrills, intense storylines, suspense and steamy romance. An on the edge of my seat ending, and desperately waiting for part 2!!
HOLY HOT & POSSESSIVE!!! I am at an utter loss for words. I absolutely did NOT want to put this book down and I didn't. Serena Akeroyd is utterly BRILLIANT. The chemistry, the steam, the connection and the bond between Fi and Luc is hypnotizing. It pulls you in and leaves you utterly breathless! Don't think, just one click because as soon as you are done you will be one-clicking again for The Lady!
Another fabulous mafia read from Serena Akeroyd! I've always liked Jen and was excited her story was going to be told. Luciu is the perfect match for her...alpha yet able to appreciate a fierce woman and able to to give her what she needs. This book is filled with drama, suspense and plenty of heat. Can't wait for The Lady!!!
This is the first book in The Oath Duet and does end in a cliffhanger, so fair warning. Now with that being said, this book is absolutely bloody brilliant! Serena Akeroyd has given us a book that is, but isn't, part of the Filthy Feckers and their Five Point world in NYC's Hell's Kitchen. It may start there but does not end there.
We first met Luciu Valentini in Serena's Filthy Hot as he approached the O'Donnelly family for their support as he ascends as the Don of the Sicilian famigghia. As Luciu is sitting with Aidan Jr, he spies Jennifer MacNeill across the room. Is it lust/love at first sight or hot Sicilian blood recognizing a fiery Irish beauty? The Don picks from there and takes us through the tumultuous times following that fateful meeting between Luciu and Jennifer.
Luciu is so protective and possessive of Jennifer right from the onset and this is the exact opposite of how every man in her past has ever treated her. Can she trust that Luciu truly wants her for who and how she is? Is she the right Lady to rule at his side as his Queen to his King? There is no doubt that the fires of passion flame up strongly between them.
I am glad that The Lady, Jennifer's half of this duet, releases so soon after The Don, so I don't have a long wait to find out how this hot, sexy story continues. I highly recommend reading this book by an amazing author. Thank you Serena for another awesome book to add to my collection!
