isekai kween back at it again… and nakulangan ako 🧍🏻‍♀️

ofc v formulaic na yung isekai esp this one na author yung nagtransmigrate sa novela. yung tipong gumagawa gawa sila ng actions tapos magugulat sila nagiiba na yung takbo ng kwento. pero ill always eat it up 😭 girlie pop was supposed to push characters that were supposed to be together,,, together tapos ang ending nakabuo siya ng sarili niyang harem 😭

mej nahahabaan lang ako per chapter. sana mas dinamihan na lang yung chapter pero mas maiksi. yung attention span ko nasunog na. char.

saka homestly wala din talagang super chemistry sa characters. ok given kinikilig ako minsan kay sebastian pero uhmm,,, i need more.

saka yung pagkakagusto nila sa isat isa is not well established. sobrang random. madaming parts dito na sobrang random hahahaha.

well not everything is ilys1892. kasi that is peak isekai from the same otor as well. decent read. di lang ako super nakaconnect sa characters.

- okay, kinilig, ngumiti, at tumawa ako sa story na to. lumuha rin ng slight pero di naman gano'n kasakit (real, mataas na pain tolerance ko hehe), pero yung stress????? yUNG sTRESS?????? JUSQ BINASA KO TO AFTER NUNG PROJECT NAMIN DAHIL STRESS AKO, NATAWA NAMAN AKO PERO YUNG STRESS NA NAKUHA KO KINAKABOG YUNG SA PROJECT. pero sige gora nababawi naman hehe

I absolutely LOVE the premise. I am a sucker for isekai stories. The plot twist was even way better than I expected. I couldn’t even put down the book.

The pacing is really slow, which is somehow valid to move the plot forward in terms of its political aspect. Relationship-wise between Faye and Sebastian, the romantic tension was awkwardly fast despite the aching pace of the story. I feel like the author has not utilized that time to build enough reason on why both the characters clicked.

The main character is relatable, funny, and wise—which is a personality that I always look for in a protagonist in order to enjoy the book. On a side note, I find all the characters endearing. Even the side characters are memorable and have their own distinct personality that makes them lovable.

Overall, Binibining Mia never fails to deliver another iconic isekai historical novel. I have no doubts that she can definitely tell a story.

THIS BOOK WAS SOOOOOOOOO GOOD. I AM A MAJOR MAN OF GOYO : THE BOY GENERAL AND THIS COMPLETELY FILLED ALL THE MISSING SPOTS THAT I WANTED THE MOVIE TO HAVE!! Even if it was a historical movie 😅

I fell in love with all the characters in this book but the end was so bitin for me. I immediately thought of Paulo Avelino when I read about Sebastian Guerrero and Faye and Sebastian have held such special places in my heart when I read this book after ILYS1892. Binibining Mia has always been my favorite writer since 2020 when I went back to my reading era again and will probably stay put as my favoriter author forever. The romance and the thrill were everything I hope everyone enjoys this book the same way I did 💗

Hello! If you haven't read the story yet, please don't continue! (Dalawa na ang warning na this contains spoilers kaya it's not my fault na kung itutuloy mong basahin then magugulat ka sa mga nakalagay dito, okay?)

First, since it's a Wattpad book, expected nang may typographical errors but this one? It has a lot! Like A LOT! So that's minus a star.

Then, I don't really like her writing style. Another deduction of star.

And last, bakit noong una, Spanish ang gamit na salita ni Sebastian at noong kinausap siya ni Female Heroine (I forgot the name) gamit ang Filipino language, hindi niya naintindihan PERO nakaiintindi naman pala siya at nakapagsasalita pa ng Filipino further into the story? Parang tanga lang. Ayon, medyo confusing ang part na 'yon at hindi rin na-explain sa story kung bakit nga ba gano'n ang nangyari. Actually (wao), marami pang confusing contents pero ito na lang ang ilalagay ko dito kasi hahaba.

So ayon, it's not the worse book but also, not really close to being a good one.

Kung wala masyadong typographical errors and some confusing contents, it'd be a 3.5. Kung okay sa akin ang writing style ni Mia, it'd be hmm... a 4.25? And kung super ganda ng plot, it'd be a 5! I mean, the twists are nice but not really surprising. And considering it's Mia, expected na talagang hindi magkakatuluyan ang hero and heroine.

I don't have a lot to say kasi I have forgotten most of the content (haha, okay, let's be real). It's like what, past 3 months since I have read this then saka lang ako nagsulat ng review. Kkkk.

It was such a great story. Binibining Mia never disappoints. I’ve always loved her narration of events in the story (I mean most of her stories too) It actually gets better when you reread it because the events or scenarios that happened will make sense. The plot twist was nice, I sensed it right but not exactly the reason behind the plot twist ( ik it’s very difficult to understand but I’m trying my best not to spoil anything haha) the characters were definitely well-written from Heneral Sebastian, Faye, side characters and antagonists.

What made the characters special is the consistency of their personalities, this is somehow my problem when reading other stories, the characters are walking beyond the point of their arc even without logical reasoning.

The author gave it a fair ending, indeed! It may not be the happiest but it was satisfying that gave justice to the title itself.

To be fair, there are still unanswered questions regarding the events in the story but I guess it’ll be answered in the other stories of the trilogy (we’re in luck haha)

For my final verdict, if you want to feel emotions you’ve never felt before, well this is for you. You’ll laugh, smile, giggle, and cry with several amount of secondhand embarassment (still love Faye though) but try not get too attached to the characters because it’ll might hurt a little while (well, in my experience)

Binibining Mia never disappoints talaga. Iba epekto ng mga story nya sakin. Mapapatawa, kilig, lungkot, halo halong emosyon mararamdaman mo dito.

So this book Salamism, is about Mary Faye Vasquez, a very famous author na nag sulat ng book called “Salamisim” na nakapasok sa librong sinulat nya at nainlove sa antagonist ng story na si Sebastian Guerrero na isang Heneral noong panahon ng mga kastila.

We get to see Faye’s journey as she fell inlove with the character she created, mapa bida or side character man yan. Makikita mo kung pano sya ma attach sa mga character na binuo nya sa kwento nya, mapa kaibigan, pamilya, or kahit love interest din.

Lahat ng supporting characters walang tapon, mula kay Lolita, kay Niyong, Sila Aling Pacing at Mang Pedro, hanggang kay Maria Florencita at Lorenzo. Lahat mamahalin mo.

Matutuwa ka din sa ating bida mapa Faye, Tanya, Angelita, or kahit si Ginoong Arturo man sya.

I did not expect this book to have a very unexpected plot twist din. This book is a solid four stars for me. Why? Siguro despite of me enjoying this book, from cover to cover. May mga parts na painfully long, plus i get to compare this book sa I love You since 1892 na nagpaiyak talaga sakin ng malala.

Pero regardlesss, i still loved it. Looking forward to read more of Binibining Mia’s book.

I read the new published edition of this book from Anvil. So dahil published na, I expected that there would be less typographical errors but it wasn't the case. Not trying to be a perfectionist but I almost lost my mind trying to figure out if the right word is "mapangahas" or "mapahangas."

I've read other stories from Binibining Mia, and if there's one thing they have in common, it's that the world building is very lacking. Ang ganda lang sana kung maayos and detailed yung pagkakadescribe ng places. Since it took place in the ??? century. I don't think the year was even mentioned... So there's that. Alam mong may panciteria, may bilihan ng mga aklat, may palimbagan. But hindi mo siya maiimagine kasi sobrang kulang ng detalye. Again, hindi maganda ang world building.

The love story between M and A (spoiler) ay medyo kulang rin. Maybe kasi minadali nalang kasi parang inulit nalang siya diba.

My rating is based from my genre preference, plot, character development and realistic ending.

I like fluff, young adult, historial romance and the book fits those category well. I like the reference or inspiration from the philippine 1800's spanish era and I like the fun and comedic chapters sa start. The plot minus star kase it doesn't make sense to me and parang hindi tahi yung alternate versions nila Faye and Sebastian sa fantasy novel ng novel mismo. I like unique take ng author with the first scenario pero kalat sya habang papunta sa dulo. I like the lead characters development ng story, female lead is relatable whilst the guy developed into a well rounded character. The ending plot twist is unexpected from the tragic love story ng ILYS1892 and OALS and i think its realistic to the title which means to reminisce.

read this before the author became (controversial) lol so it was like around mid 2020ish.

this is by far actually my fav filo historical fiction book. the plot was amawzing. humor was there. characters were well written. HENERAL SEBASTIAN GUERRERO HELLO??? 😏.

the whole time i was reading this book, i was jus giggling and kicking my feet. this book made me want romance during the 1800s here in the philippines. it was soo traditional and i loved it.

read this book twice already cos its just THAT GOOD GIRL. ik author has her issues but like i just couldnt let go of this book and im only JUST here for the book.

ending pained me so well i could still feel it 😄

This book has a lot of good shocking twists but I'd be honest that it didn't need to be this long and so oftentimes my enjoyment level decreases as some unnecessary plot follows. On the writing side it's both good and bad; there are a lot of grammatical errors and typos in the physical book, so it's rather unfortunate that this dismiss her pretty prose. And character wise, Faye/Tanya/Angelita reminds me alot of Carmela of ILYS1892 and Sebastian is the most interesting one for me here, because he captures that morally grey persona perfectly. Overall, I enjoyed reading this and I'm amazed that the author manage to give me almost the same shock value I felt when I read her book ILYS1892 before.

This is one of my favorite books of Binibining Mia. Salamisim was nicely done and written. Even though straight tagalog ang pagkakasulat sa libro, it was still easy to understand. The plot twist really made me gasp while reading the book. For the characters, I love them, really, really really really really bad.

I would recommend you this book. Mahaba siyang story kaya medyo matatagalan ka matapos (depende kung gaano ka kabilis magbasa) pero this book took me One and a half day to finish.

When it comes to the plot, wala talaga akong masabi. Okay siya and fun din itong book na 'to. Matatawa ka sa moments ni Faye. Worth reading :)

i just finished rereading it. idk why hut before i really love this story, thats the reason why i bought physical copy of it but now.. i dont even know anymore. the female lead is so annoying. she keeps on talking about something only die her to back down on what she said she will do. the only characters i really like was sebastian, lorenzo, niyong and maria florencita. also, girl code who? may pagkainsensitive din si ate mo grabe. and ang daming plot holes! sino
yung lalaki na kausap nung manang milda? why did he do it? for fun ganon? wtf.. anw huhu i regret buying the physical copy.. ibang book nalang sana binili ko huhu

Imagine going inside a novel you wrote and experience the plot itself only to fall in love with the villain that you created. This book is truly a masterpiece. I can't believe I will fall in love with a book written in deep tagalog.

The plot is definitely creative and I love every chapters especially anything about my favorite Sebastian Guerrero, who was defined as the villain of the story. I like the characters and it's definitely a well thought out story that you would laugh and cry with its enchanting moments.

Aking sinta, Sebastian, you will always have a place in my heart.

Like the title itself this will hold a memory that I will reminisce in the future. the collection of chapters, the emotions that i've experienced, the world that i've walked while reading this will become a salamisim that will remind me that everything might to come to an end and will be forgotten because of the passage of time or any circumstances but will still hold a part of your soul and forever embedded in your being. 🌘

Binibining Mia, the woman that you are! As expected dahil ikaw ang sumulat ng book na ito, alam kong ito ang next 5 stars ko. Mula sa pagkakasulat, sa bawat characters at sa buong plot, napatawa kilig iyak at galit mo ako napakagaling mo talaga huhu natutuwa akong nakapagbasa ulit ako ng akda mo at napa feel ulit sakin ang iba't ibang emotion. From her first successful book (I Love You Since 1892), Binibining Mia seems to be only getting better and better! Omg this giant of a book. My mind is still wiring from all the plot twists. This may discusse a more serious theme than ILYS1892 but she does not aso disappoint on the fluff and suspense. Worth the read!

Isang katangi-tanging akda. Napakadaling mapamahal sa mga tauhan, hindi ko maitatanggi na isa si Faye sa mga nangungunang paborito kong pangunahing tauhan sa lahat ng mga akdang nabasa. Nakakaindak, nakakatawa, nakakaiyak. Isang nakakahalinang paglalakbay ang siyang aking natunghayan. Maraming salamat sa mga karakter, kayo'y bahagi ng aking pagkatao. Hanggang sa muli, Salamisim.

Eto yung fav book ko na niwrite ni BM. Nakakagulat ang twist and it made me love the Philippine histories more. It's funny and exciting as well which adds flavour sa book. Di ko masyado napansin mga typographical error due to the entertainment na binibigay sa akin ng book na to. Overall, I really love it.

this is such an underrated book! i wished more love AND hype is poured in this story because unlike other trendy but predictable wattpad books, this deserves it!

the plot is well-thought, intricate, and will make you go ‘Aha!’. and the plot twist?! GIRL! not to mention that ending, the keychain, and all that magical shit. 5/5 hands down

Tho I enjoyed reading it naman since it got me to smile and laugh sometimes. Tho sometimes din thr jokes for me were cringe na, at least in today's setting. Sabihin na natin ung "dubidubidapdap" something na part.

Addictive basahin, maganda ang pagkasulat na kikiligin ka sa mga karakter at gusto mo talaga subaybayan yung kwento nila. I do have to admit na may maraming repetitive na part na sa kwento na para sa akin ay di na kailangan at nakakapag-lengthen na at redundant sa story. May ilang bahagi na confusing din. Over all, I enjoyed it naman.

One of the best. Idk about you guys but this book made me feel something again. The plot twist is twisting HAHAHAHAH. . THIS IS ONE OF THE BOOKS THAT WOULD MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD, DELULU, AND GOOD LAUGH, BUT AT THE SAME TIME, IT WOULD BREAK YOU.
