Fiona Quinn has such a truly amazing gift for stories.

I have to say I’ve never been disappointed with any of Fiona Quinn’s books. And Hyper Lynx is no exception! And as I like to say any wait for a Fiona Quinn book is Wait Torture because I can’t wait to see what happens next in any of the series she writes and I know that the wait is so worth it!!
This book pulls you right back into the life of Lexi and Striker and her group of Iniquus teammates. This particular day for Lexi starts with a call from Spyder (her mentor) to take a meeting with the FBI and a request for help from the CIA. When asked to go to a diner to checkout a potential witness for the FBI Lexi comes across a crime in progress and ends up with a waitressing job.
With Jean Marie Rochembeau (AKA Gator) and Christen Davidson (AKA D-Day) marriage and parties coming up Lexi is going to be a very busy lady!
This book and series are one of my must read recommendations! I do recommend also that if you haven’t read any of the books in this series you might to start with book 1 and continue through to book 6! Other book series from Fiona Quinn include Uncommon Enemies, Strike Force, FBI Joint Task Force, Cerberus Tactical K9 and coming soon Delta Force Echo!
I want to thank Fiona Quinn for such wonderful and addictive series that I can’t wait for!

To say I'm a huge Lynx’s and Iniquuis fan would be a huge understatement. Some book worlds are just genuinely awe-inspiring to be a part of. That is how I feel every time I read a Fiona Quinn book.
Lynx’s is back!!! Which means the whole Iniquuis family is at lynx’s back as always.
This story was an excellent puzzle for Lynx to unravel with many twists and turns that kept me guessing and gasping for breath.
I loved the action, I was enthralled by the adventure and mesmerised by the ending.

Lynx is so good at the big reveal, the razzmatazz

This book has so many more secrets, shadows, twists and turns than previous books, you will need to keep your wits about you to keep track of all the puzzle pieces as they are moved, rotated, flipped, duplicated and removed. Throughout it all we have the unsettling presence of her parents and the lingering wait for her divorce so she and Striker can finally get married. It is very easy to forget just how young Lynx actually is, she has so much life experience, and the restraint she shows when others are so judgemental and condescending is humbling. Obviously this book continues Lynx's story, so you need to have read the first five books in her series for this one to make sense. But I highly recommend you read all the books in the Iniquus World in chronological order (the reading order is easy to find) as this will give a complete picture and history of all the puzzle pieces and will be the most enjoyable, all are available on Kindle Unlimited.

A little unfair but

Okay, so I read all of the Iniiqus books over the last nine days, all 21, so my perspective is probably a little different from others. I enjoyed the books at first but I have two problems with the books as they moved forward in the world.

I read a review of the first Lynx book which complained that a 19 year old wouldn't have all of the skills and maturity that Lexi has. I can see the argument but that isn't my issue. I have a bigger problem with the fact that she just pulls out the perfect NEW skill each and every time it's necessary. I don't look for reality in these types of books. I expect the characters to be insanely overqualified. That's part of the charm - the characters do everything we wish that we could under similar circumstances. I do think that everyone is capable of choosing heroic gestures in a crisis. I believe that our Special forces train so that one is none and two is one. I believe that people can be good in a crisis. What I don't believe is that someone will make the right choice EVERY SINGLE TIME. It becomes annoying, rather than something that moves the plot forward or develops the characters.

Second, and the far bigger issue for me, Quinn has begun to shortchange her readers. The first stories were detailed and the plots built within her world and within the book itself. The characters were interesting and showed growth both within the book itself and within the world. Also, the world building was different, interesting, and unique. Now she presents the problem and solution, snap snap snap. She is no longer building. As you move through the Iniiqus world, the stories now seem more like detailed outlines that Quinn uses to meet the book quantity required by the Amazon marketplace.

It would be better for the reader, if not the author, to put out fewer good books. I would rather wait for a great book than read more mediocre books. I don't pay her bills so she may have to churn in order to eat but I don't know if I will read any more of her books, which is actually a pity because the world building that she did in the beginning made me keep reading after the first Lexi book. I felt invested. Now, not so much.

Any time a new Fiona Quinn book is on the horizon, I am champing at the bit! Hyper Lynx was no exception. This Sixth in a Series can most definitely be read as a stand-alone, but caveat emptor - you won't be able to leave it there!

I've read others of Quinn's books, in fact, a couple of her series have enticed from Book First to Book Last. So I knew what I was in for with Hyper. Fast-paced, action-packed, incredibly well-researched entertainment. With so much intrigue - and a good solid dollop of romance. And she does not disappoint.

In this outing, Lynx seems to be receiving messages from her long-dead parents. What exactly are they trying to tell her? Warn her about? It all comes together in an intricate, beguiling tapestry, the likes of which only Quinn can weave. Be prepared for a few unexpected twists, Quinn's plots are never boring, you will not be able to put this one down till it's done - it kept me up all night! I'm now off to catch up on the rest of the Lynx books!

[I was fortunate to receive an Advanced Reader Copy of the book from the author, with no obligation to review. The opinions expressed herein are given freely and are entirely my own.]

Hyper Lynx: The Lynx Series Book 6 is by Fiona Quinn. This particular book started out slowly. It almost didn’t keep my attention. I thought it was the worst of the six books in this series. That was until it opened up with a bang! Once it did, the action didn’t stop and it was impossible to put the book down. It is too bad it didn’t start sooner.
Lynx has never come to terms with her Dad’s death or her Mother’s death. Dad had died in a traffic accident when he and Lynx were in the car. Luckily, Lynx survived. However, once the driver of the other car was taken to the station, he was released as he had diplomatic immunity! Lynx was livid and wanted to take him out; but luckily Spyder was there and talked her down. She did follow the man to make sure he never got in a car again when he was drunk.
After her Dad’s death, her Mother was never the same. She had been bedridden for many years and treatments didn’t work. Eventually, she died and joined her husband. Now, Lynx seems to be getting messages from them. They are mainly “to pay attention “. But Lynx can’t figure out what she needs to pay attention to.

Fiona Quinn does it again. What an awesome story? I so love the lynx And.
Fiona Quinn does it again. What an awesome story? I so love the lynx series. The tone that is written by Fiona is my favourite.
And although I am listening chronologically through these books, I find that this tone set is the best flow of the plot line for me. The only fault I find with going in this order, Is that different narrators produce voices of past characters that are not the same as when they are portrayed in the lynx series. Jesse Vilinsky is superb as a narrator and I confess, has ruined me for other voices. but on another note, for this story it had everything, past memories, spider, action and lynx doing what she does best, although I think I have to admit "Missing lynx" is my favourite. But this runs a close second. Jesse Vilinsky has done a great job with her tones and character, the voices I just love. I will read more of her in the future. Heading over to the next chronological book which is danger close..

It is the thing I love the most about this author’s work and it’s also a bit of a fatal flaw: I cannot read her books fast enough. I get sucked into the story and quickly become desperate to know what will happen next. I manically flip pages, hoping to absorb each scene by osmosis so that I can learn how it all turns out. But if I had the ability to commune with this book and learn all its secrets in an instant, I wouldn’t have experienced the author’s brilliant suspense, or the way she cranks up the tension with every page turned. I might have missed Lexi’s wonderfully snarky sense of humor or the poignancy of her reminisces about her parents’ lives. I know better than to try to guess where the author will take us next, but I do know one thing for certain, I will be one of the first in line for that ride when it’s ready.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

Family Black Sheep!!!

This starts with Lynx getting a call at o-dark-thirty telling her she's will be getting a call with a request from the FBI, and to accept it. Click, hung up. But this was Spyder, her mentor, so she does. She has a meeting at the CIA with Striker, and blows their minds, as Striker expected. She goes to the FBI meeting alone, then later goes to the diner requested by the FBI, ends up with a job as a server-not part of the job, but good, and does what the FBI asked. There are some flashback moments to her Dad's accident, death and just after, and Spyder gets involved. Christin and Gator are supposed to be getting married in a simple ceremony at the end of the week, with just family and friends. But her Dad William and Stepmother London want to throw a lavish, unwanted (by the couple) party for their friends. Which fails miserably! The wedding goes off without a hitch, and Lexi catches the bouquet (planned by the other single women).

This book was disappointing. Too many of the characters had back stories from books not included in this series. It's confusing when an author writes two (or more) series where the characters and timelines overlap and then repeatedly refer to important details that aren't included in the series being read. Hyper Lynx takes place around a wedding of two people where only one is part of the previous books and includes characters from a larger plot that also wasn't included in any of the previous books.

These other stories listed as separate series at the back of the book. But they aren't inserted into the list for this series (such as 5.5 for Lynx and whatever number it is for the other series) so that the reader can know where to get the omitted details. Add all the weird formatting issues and I'm giving this book 2.5 stars. Too bad, because I really was enjoying the series until this point.

The Truth in Nursery Rhymes

Another startling, complicated and fascinating story of terror, mystery and excitement. Lexi Sobado is once again using her exquisite puzzling skills to provide genius solutions for alphabet agencies. She also is fabulous performing the field work she just can't seem to avoid, even though she's suppose to do so. Filled with awful situations, this book is fast moving and filled with quality approaches (although not all completely successful) to saving the day. Long suffering Striker Rheas, Levi's fiancee and leader of the Iniquus Strike Force, provides what support he can, but this show is squarely Lexi's. Her special set of skills, her well honed talents and her psychic abilities are what makes the difference in overcoming myriad criminal and hostile situations. This is another showcase for an unusual, self effacing and terrific woman.

It takes them all

As great addition that brings together multiple teams, couples and series favorites. Lynx has several missions she is working on and we get to see her spicy as the CIA is not fulfilling their promise. Her flashbacks and moments with Spyder are always amazing as they are so rich and colorful. The idea of what our brain protects us from/covers up is fascinating to me. Loved seeing Kate and Reaper and Gator with Christan. I was not expecting the rehearsal dinner event and wow for the shock and action element! Christans dad needs a kick to the head, I mean his son Karl is the worst. Voodoo and Zeus were certainly the MVPs of the book. The hydra question is a little more resolved, but still with loose strings, as is the wedding for Lynx and Striker, what all does Lula/Joanna White do (does she get a HEA), and more!

10⭐ you will want to read it many times thru!

This book is a suspenseful page turner. You. Will. Not. Be. Able. To. Put. This. Book. Down. Until. The. End. This book will grab you and you won't be able to put it down. Fiona Quinn weaves a story like no one else. You will feel like you are part of the team, trying to puzzle out what will happen next.
I love Lynx! This can be read as a standalone, but there are elements of other books weaved into this one that gives it more depth if read in order. I am amazed at the research that goes into each book written by Fiona Quinn. Everytime a new book comes out, I feel the need to read all of the books again, it is like visiting old friends.

Hyper Lynx

Lexi is still waiting on the CIA for her divorce from Angel. She's involved in an FBI mission then she and Striker are attendants for Gator and Christian's wedding. Her parents are ghosting her with warnings. She finds out that her father was murdered by a colleges twin brother in retaliation of the death of his daughter when her mother passed out and ran into her car head on. That same night her mother was diagnosed with brain cancer. At a reception given by Christian's father and stepmother they are attacked by Omega under orders of her brother Karl. Lexi called in Iniquus and was able to arm Strike Force. Now if she could just be free to marry Striker. Great story.

Wow

I absolutely loved this book. Well I love all of your books. So many memories from Lynx past that spring up. Loved that you wrote about her mom and dad. Your books have made me see the world through different glasses. When something traumatic happens we either try to push the scene away or try to remember every detail. It made me think back on some real life events and wonder if I am remembering them the way they happened or the way my brain wants me to remember them. Food for thought. Can not wait for the next book. I always look forward to them. As always keep writing and I will keep reading.

Messages from you dead parents would cause most people to freak out. But Lynx is not most people. Now figuring out what the messages mean is taking its toll on her. Having Spyder call and give her a mandate only adds to her stress. Does he have another lead on taking down the Hydra? The ever stoic but always supportive Striker is right by her side as always. The upcoming wedding of Gator and
D-day should be a bright spot but when it turns deadly it's up to Lynx to save the day. She finally gets some answers but at what cost? Another stellar book in the Iniquus series! Brava, Fiona Quinn, Brava!

You do not want to miss this!

If you've been following Lexi and the men (and women) of Iniquuis, you do not want to miss this book! This whole book leads to an epic OMG moment and we learn a lot more of Lexi's past. The last half of the book had me sitting on the edge of my seat. Lexi and Striker are so good together, the ultimate power couple. It was great to see the whole gang putting in an appearance in this installment. And if you haven't been following Lexi and the men of Iniquuis, you, my friend, are missing out! This is such a good series!

Another Great Lexi Adventure

This is another Lexi adventure that is action packed and suspense filled. There is a hot steamy episode where Striker shows off his artistic and other skills. Lexi is haunted by her past, the death of her father and her parents’ ghost as she prepares for Gator’s wedding and is working undercover for the FBI. Her marriage to Striker is put on hold because someone in the CIA is dragging their heels with her divorce from her “dead” husband. As Lexi tries to interpret her parents warnings she gets some help from her mentor, Spyder.

Very detailed about Lynx, her past to present

I love Lynx and Striker together. All the couples are great to get to know. But, nothing was completed for Lynx and Striker except finally her knowing some truths about her mom and dad, and the fateful car crash. Gator and Christen's marrying happened, despite chaos. But Lynx is still married to Angel and Karl is still out there plotting.
No word on a future book with Iniquis, and I think I read them all to date, not really in order though. Is there a follow up after Hyper Lynx?

Hyper Lynx is the sixth book in The Lynx series by Fiona Quinn. All Lexi “Lynx” Sabado wants to do is marry Striker Rheas. Lynx keeps running into roadblocks when it comes to getting married. Lynx has been getting psychic warnings from her parents who have been dead for years. She can even feel their presence with her. No matter where Lynx turns it appears she is surrounded by danger on all sides. So much is going on in this book, I loved it. The story is original and the character are amazing and work well together. This is a must read!

Great series

I started this series a couple years ago and love each book as it comes out though the first is still my favorite. I know that logically most of what Lynx can do is not possible I still like pretending that it is real. I do wish the author would put more of the puzzles Lynx solves that leaves everyone flabbergasted. That's the best part! Can't wait for the next book.

Lynx series all 6 books

I just finished the series. I greatly enjoyed all the stories and characters.
The locations and actions around the world were dramatically described. Well done!
The reasons for only 4 stars is.the amount of descriptive sex.
In my 83 years and I am sure in other readers minds there was just to much of it.
I would love to read all of them and have them in my library but for that.
Do look forward to #7.

Love the Lynx Series with Lexi, Striker and Spyder. The psychic aspect/shadow walking and other ether elements really makes the spy thriller unique and exciting. Every major and minor character even the K9 Voodoo brings the family full circle. Looking forward to "Marriage Lynx" finally Lexi and Striker will be able to get married, but what terrorism, drama and fairy tale lyric will be used next, can't wait.

4+ Stars Lynx moving through a week

A typically horrendous week for Lynx and Strike Force, albeit one with a good ending. Striker and the rest of Strike Force limited to a small supporting roll in this one. I found myself missing those interactions tremendously although there were plenty of Striker/Lexi interactions. Lots of drama filled action.
Note if you haven't read any of the previous Lynx or Strike Force books you will be lost, don't start with this one.

Lynx is in peril again. This time its an old threat reborn as new DEATH is an option

Lynx has been getting warnings from her parents. Her parents have been dead for years so she isn’t sure what to make of it. Spyder has a task, CIA has a task, FBI has a task and somehow they mix together. It puts her whole team in jeopardy. The bad guys are winning this one! How can she win this one?

Fantastic!

This book has wonderful characters, suspense, action, and writing. I love the way the words are woven together. The story is full of mystery and reveals more of Lynx which I really enjoyed. And I love that the Cerberus dogs made an appearance. It really is a fantastic book that I know I will reread many times.

Loved it!!

Lynx is again working puzzles. One of which is having her parents hanging around in spirit. So much of her past is revealed. Striker and others are present as Gators wedding approaches. Lots of action and a touch of steam with a great story and fantastic characters. This is one you don't want to miss if you have read Lynx before. Loved it!

GREAT!!!

Even though it has been a couple of months since I read the earlier Lynx books, it didn't take long to get back into it. I have enjoyed each of them, I just don't like that the story is still ongoing. Thanks for your continued work in creating an escape from every day living!

Plenty of ancient Spyder proverbs telling us where Lynx/Lexi’s been as this sub-series wraps. She’s visited by her parent’s spirits solving questions asked and unasked about their deaths. She’s also called in to assist both the CIA and FBI on a cult with ties to the most wanted lists and Spyder’s ultimate goal.

A thrilling read

As I started to read this story, I found it was going to be another exceptional one from the beginning. Enough but so intriguing I was unable to set aside until the very end! I spent the night reading this one. It is full of action packed but extreme suspense and mystery too. It's always full of Striker and his love for Lynx. Don't pass this up!
