My name is Fauve, I’m twenty-two years old, and two months ago, I was a normal French college student. Now? I was just accepted into the prestigious National Institute of Circus Arts of Montréal and moved to the other side of the Atlantic to attend their 10-month Intensive Program.

The catch? Every term, the lowest ranking half of the class has to go home, and the best student wins a job at the legendary Cirque des Etoiles at the end of the year, guaranteeing a long, prosperous career as a performer.

Will I be good enough to stay in the program until the end? Will the open relationship with my boyfriend help us overcome the distance? Will the connection with my flatmates be the end of it all or is it just the beginning?

One thing is certain: the show must go on, and failure is not an option.

Aerial is a steamy, fast-burn Reverse Harem Romance Novel intended for audiences 18+ only. It contains sex scenes with 2+ participants, MM, and other kinks. It ends with an HFN and no cliffhanger.

I am a well known sucker for reverse harem AND friends-to-lovers. But both ? Man I had to read this. And it didn’t disappoint. Instead of 3 big boys fighting to know which c*** is bigger, we have 3 big boys who are falling in love with the MC and with eachother. I loved it! It was everything I signed for. The circus is great I had « En Équilibre » vibes. To sum up, 5 great stars. I can’t wait for Stellar!

Off the bat this book could work as a standalone but I’m glad there’s one more because I can tell these characters story is incomplete. This was a RH romance with MM so prudes need not read this one. While I really enjoyed the original concept the book began with a level of disconnect that remained frayed throughout the story. Heroine Fauve sets off to Canada from her home of France where she will be attending the National Academy for Circus Arts, for the year if she’s lucky. Participants will be judged and tested throughout the semester, only the best will remain and only one will secure the prestigious role to perform in the Cirque des Etoiles. In many respects I loved the dynamics of these characters but where I was often lost was with their relationship. Fauve has two male roommates who already have a thing going between them but both are more than willing to include Fauve in their bedroom activities. Fauve has a boyfriend back home though, one she’s madly in love with and whose planning on joining her in a few short months. While the two are separated they agree to an open relationship which seems to work for them given how honest and open they are with each other. So in a sense it’s like the joining of two semi established relationships and I was all about that. I wish certain scenes weren’t skipped or glossed over though. For instance her first intimate interactions with her roomies is glossed over after the fact and for me that was a moment I needed to experience. The setting and main focus of the story includes Fauve trying to learn all the things from gymnastics and clowning to acrobatics and juggling. While the circus idea may not be so new to the RH genre, I think this book really stands out on its own and portrayed the hardships of such a rare and unique talent few people have. Along with their relationship and trials and the academy, each character has to come to grips with something in their life and it gave each of them a chance to grow either as a group or individually. While the super bendy Fauve may not be 100% relatable for me, her story was both fascinating and invigorating. Fauve is such an independent and strong woman, confident in her skills and sexuality it’s hard not to like her.

An amazing Debut novel

I really enjoyed this debut novel by Manuela Rouget, there was something so real and down to earth about it without it losing the escapism I crave from a book. I think the relationships were really well developed, open, honest and everyone knew what they were getting into right from the get go it was very refreshing.

There was a lot of heat in this book, all the guys are amazing, however I fell for Loup just that little bit harder, he's the guy every girl needs.

I loved the storyline of the circus training, it was well written and researched. I sometimes find things hard to visualise and was intrigued by certain circus acts so did hit you tube, clearly I was invested!

The book ends in a good place, but left the option for more and I want more if these guys

THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ! Give into it, you won't regret it.

I need a minute. I literally finished this book 5 minutes ago and my feelings are all over the place. In a few words this book was: heart-warming, creative, unique, and full of love!

I just want to say that this did not feel like a first book. The story itself had great flow to it, the character development was on point, and the chemistry between the characters was phenomenal.

Fauve as a leading lady was great, we see her grow so much throughout the book, see her struggles with her feelings and what is supposed to be "right" and getting out of her comfort zone. But once she knew what she wanted there was nothing that was going to hold her back. I loved her, and I love how as the book progressed the confidence in her was tangible.

Loup, Cody and Thibault, my beautiful and wonderful men. There were moments you could see each of their flaws, but because of their growing relationship between them and Fauve or between themselves they were able to grow and show support. Loup, the supportive and selfless boyfriend. UGH, I absolutely loved his character. Cody, my dominant nerd, seeing him be vulnerable was essential to their relationship and brought the much needed relationship conversations. THIBAULT- my fav boy, he knew what he wanted from the very beginning and stuck to it, the support and love he had for the others was beautiful.

Spice was 12/10!! Had to stop a few times to fan myself!! Other than spice though, you saw sweet moments, and something that I don't see enough of: sensuality.

Anyways, after reading this book I found out I am now obsessed with Acrobatics, and have now spent several hours just watching videos on YouTube. So thank you, Manuela, for my new obsession!!

I have never read a book like this and a new standard has been set! The circus has never been as sexy as when Manuela writes about it. Fauve is a strong and fierce FMC, even if she doesn’t always see it herself. Add to that a harem of gorgeous, confident guys, and you have a sexy, fun, original story that you never want to end!

Aerial is exciting and keeps you on your toes as we get to see the life of Fauve and how hard she works to achieve her goals and dreams. She faces lots of obstacles, frustrating ones, that you just want to punch down for her. But with the support of friends and loved ones, she can accomplish whatever she sets her mind to. I don’t want to give things away, because that’s all the fun of reading, but Loup, Thibault, and Cody are a dream (and soooo hot), and my book boyfriend list has just grown by three. I promise you they are going to satisfy you, while also leaving you begging for more.

After that ending, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for book number two. I have not had enough of these characters and will be missing this world tremendously! I can’t believe this is your first book, Manuela Rouget! Read it now, because your life will be better for it!

Get. This. Book.
I’ve read a lot of reverse harems in my reading journey, but I’ve never read one quite like this and I mean that in the BEST way possible.
Fauve, our fierce, not at all dramatic, relatable AF FMC is amazing. She moves from across the pond to attend NICAM, a circus school in Montreal, with the support of her boyfriend, Loup (le sigh, I love him and I’ve claimed him as my own).
And to be clear, circus meaning acrobats, trapeze artists, jugglers, and not clowns (thankfully, as they frighten me). Her roommates become her biggest supporters along with her guy from back home.
This story has incredible performances, detailed in a way that makes you feel as if you’re living it, amazing side characters who I hope get their own books soon, and a competitive aspect that had me biting my own nails the whole way through.
Manuela’s debut novel is not one to be missed and I adored this story from cover to cover.

*Overall: ✰✰✰✰✰/🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I didn’t know I needed this book until I had it, now I need MORE of it. I’ve never, ever read a book that engaged me so completely from the very beginning! I read my ARC copy beginning to end in one sitting, then ran to youtube and Instagram to find examples of some of these STUNNING acts, though nothing came close to filling the Aerial shaped void I now have in my life. Fauve, Loup, Cody, and Thibault are some of the most well-written, three-dimensional, emotionally mature characters that I’ve ever read. And the HOT scenes will leave you blushing (it happened.)

*Originality: 5/5*
*Characters: 5/5*
*Story development: 5/5*
*Writing quality: 5/5*

The most unique RH book I have ever read! Open relationships that work, honesty, trust, care, commitment and love bring the characters together in the best way! Acrobatics and trapezing and circustry in such detail make this a must read for everyone who loves finding something new and creative and just plain great!!!

You 100% need this book in your life. I've never read a circus themed RH, but I have now realized I have been missing so much in my life without this book! The characters are amazing, the story line is so unique, there's a little bit of mystery thrown in, and the best thing of all is the relationships that are built between the FMC and the MC's. Do yourself a favor and 1 click this bad boy, I promise you, it will not disappoint!

I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a book with so few triggers, quite so much.

Aerial was one of the books that have been sitting on my Kindle for months, just waiting for the perfect time to be read. If I’m honest, I’m not entirely sure what drew me to it in the first place; it’s certainly not my usual sort of pitch-black read. But, after reading When The Sun Goes Down I needed something that wasn’t going to break me or leave me questioning my dark romance-loving existence. A circus-themed reverse harem novel would do just that.

If I’m reading a light coloured romance it’s really important to me that the characters are solid and real, that their emotions and reactions mirror real life, even if they’re faced with less than average circumstances. For me, this was really where the book shone. At times it was gritty and painful, and I couldn’t always tell if the promised ‘happy for now’ was for all characters or solely Fauve (the FMC).

While this was clearly Fauve’s story, Manuela Rouget didn’t shy away from dealing with the varying emotions of her three men or their intertwined relationships. This is the first reverse harem novel I’ve read where each of the protagonists has a romantic relationship with all of the others in the group. It was refreshing to read; although you often see one or two characters do this, it’s rare to see a whole harem so interlaced.

Of course, this meant that the steam levels were off the charts. Cody calls it when he says “there are so many options, so many possible combinations.” When you add in the sexual acrobatics three of the group are capable of, Rouget’s steamy and sensual ideas really blow your mind.

The book isn’t afraid to shy away from real-life issues. Early on, some of the characters have that awkward STI talk and subsequent visit to the clinic to get tested. It would have been all too easy to skate along with the usual ‘I’m clean’ excuse and have done with it. Instead, Rouget sensitively illustrates the additional sexual health risks of polyamorous relationships.

Along with potentially impossible circus acts, the book does incredibly well at normalising its characters. All three men have average-sized dicks – not ridiculously huge and rarely seen lengths of most book boyfriends. People get injured, they deal with visa issues and money concerns instead of country hopping on private jets. There’s psyching up to have difficult conversations about relationships and strain between characters when not everybody feels the same. There’s no instalove or enemies to lovers, just normal people growing together, apart, and becoming stronger.

I think what really pulled me into the story and made me love it so much wasn’t the circus aspect as I expected. In fact, the circus could have been any other setting and the parts of the book that stood out to me would still have done just that. It was its beautiful approach to communication within relationships, whether in friendship or romance. The characters didn’t have it easy, they didn’t fall into their group with one big bang, but the world wasn’t against them either. It’s proof that a good relationship takes work, whether that’s with one other person or three.

I was surprised by Aerial. I didn’t expect to love it so much. And yes, I’ve already one-clicked the second book in the duet, Stellar. Now I’m off to read it.

This book is unlike any other I have read before with unique characters and relationships. One of the main things that is different is that two of the main characters have an open relationship while they are apart, they implicitly trust each other and are secure in their relationship. I don't often see many relationships in book where the characters are so open and honest with each other and can truly talk about anything and everything. I have not seen many contemporary circus themed books, so I was really excited to see this one, another thing that is different about this book is the fact that it is about people training to get into the circus and gives you some more insight into the amount of work that goes into training. While this is not the last book in the series, there is not a true cliffhanger, but I am still excited to see what happens with Loup and her men next.

NA Polyamory

I’d probably give this book 4.5 ⭐️ if I could.

This is the first book in a duet, however, there is no cliffhanger.

Fauve is french and part way through a business degree when she finally persuades her demanding parents that she can attend a prestigious circus arts school in Montreal. The course she is taking only lasts a year and the best student gets a guaranteed place at a very successful circus company (like Cirque d’Soleil).

Leaving her boyfriend Loup behind is a hard decision as they’ve been together 6 years and he’s also her best friend and acrobatic partner. They’ve decided to have an open relationship whilst they are apart, which on the face of it seems a bad idea, but they believe they can make it work.

The flat she moves into has two gorgeous men, one is a full degree course student at the circus arts school that Fauve is to attend and the other is an engineering student. Both men are gorgeous and they become flirty friends instantly and Fauve knows they could be something more.

I loved the premise of this book. It’s clever and something that young people face all the time, whether to make a go of a long-distance relationship or end it, or whether to try an open relationship which is always a risk. Fauve and Loup have been together forever and therefore have only small amounts of sexual experiences separate from their relationship but they also trust each other with their lives on a daily basis working together in acrobatics. Knowing they talk about everything and are capable of total honesty makes taking the opportunity to learn more about what they enjoy sexually when they are apart something they feel confident in trying.

I like how slow-moving the change in relationships are in this book. Fauve is in a very intensely physically and mentally challenging programme and as such is often exhausted with little free time. This slows everything down and gives a more realistic timeline than most romance novels, despite them all living together.

All three men are very different from each other, with different priorities and needs and Fauve enjoys being with them all for different reasons. I like how we get to know the characters slowly, rather than having cookie-cutter personas, which is often a risk in a reverse harem book.

Whilst there is plenty of hot sex in this book, its not the main focus. For Fauve the school is the priority. Learning new skills and getting the opportunity of a lifetime is her prime focus and often the relationships take a back seat to it.

I loved hearing about the circus skills and Fauve, Tibault and Loup’s passion for them. There was a lot of detail and I found it fascinating.

There is also interpersonal drama of the friends variety, because of the pressure of school system where half the students get cut every quarter of the year. This makes things insanely competitive and puts additional pressure on any friendships.

I think this may have been a first published book for this author and I’m really impressed. It’s well-paced, articulate and imaginative. The characters are interesting and the world in which they live is fascinating. I’m looking forward to seeing the next book in the duet, when it comes out, even though there is no cliffhanger. I just want to read more about these characters and their lives together.

I have never read a book quite like this with its real life circus elements, and I enjoyed every bit of this contemporary treat! The characters written are down to earth with the story being realistic in its portrayal of how relationships develop and can change/grow over time. Fauve is determined to make her own way in the circus world, even without the full support of her parents. Along with her longtime boyfriend, Loup, and some friends they meet along the way, there is no stopping her in her journey to become one of the best in the circus community. Thibault with his strong ability to teach and support his friends, Cody with his magic hands ;), and Loup with his unending devotion to Fauve make this book a true wonder to read! To quote, "all the great stories end with food", and indeed, this one was no exception. Get a fan ready because you're likely to have a few hot flashes from the steam that this book emits. Aerial is a very memorable debut from Manuela Rouget!

Acro-smut, ACRO-smut, ACRO-SMUT! I feel like this needs to be a chant everyone takes up after reading this book! It's such a good start to a duet! The spice and heat level is HIGH! Sweet lord, get ready to grab your partner, your hand or your toy for some action after reading these scenes 🔥

While the heat is high there's also a really great plot and action that runs alongside the steam. I can't believe this is the first book from Manu! She writes this story and the characters so compellingly. Plus this is one of the only books I've read that gives a really good and realistic representation of what a poly relationship would be like in real life and the ups and downs people go through to make this type of thing work 👏

The FMC!
Fauve is a young aerialist who's trying to make it big in the circus arts after her parents have pushed her down a more traditional business route. Travelling away from her boyfriend, Loup, for the first time, opening their relationship up and competing in a reality show type cirque competition has Favue's hands full.

It's amazing to see her growth as a performer, friend, lover, and girlfriend in this book.

The Guys!
Loup, Cody and Thibault - it's so hard to choose my fave out of them all - I mean if I have to I'll choose Loup every time, but still! I generally don't like all the guys equally in most books, but this one I wanted more of everyone in equal amounts! I literally cannot wait to see where the second book in this duet takes this group! The MM and FM relationships within the harem are so sweet and I cannot wait for them to develop even more!

The Smut!
Oh, man were there some hot scenes in this! Manu is not afraid of bringing toys into the mix and she does it so very well! The flexibility of acrobats comes in handy in the sexy scenes in this one. Solo, duo, trio and quads - literally this has it all. Some tasty MM action thrown in too 🥵 🤸🏻‍♀️

Holy acrobat, I flew though this book! I absolutely couldn’t stop reading once I started! My first Circus/Acrobatic RH book, and Manuela killed this debut novel. You won’t find a more original story!

The FMC Fauve is trying to make her dreams come true. She’s living away from home, her boyfriend Loup, and her family. She is rooming with 2 hot as sin guys Cody and Thibault. While juggling school, (yes, there’s some actual juggling) her growing feelings for her roommates, making friends, and trying to maintain her long distant relation, she has a lot of plates in the air.

Cody and Thibault are her roommates, and omg are they hot! Thibault wiggled his way into my heart and I love him so much. I licked him, and I’m keeping him, sorry not sorry. They start developing feelings, and with Fauve being in a relationship there are complications, to put it lightly and spoiler proof. Loup was never out of the picture and he’s just adorable and oh so sweet. I love the relationship he has with Fauve and his moms, swoon!

Now let’s talk about these smexy scenes. Goodness gracious, the positions, the toys, the group scenes 💦. I was doing some research myself on some of the toys. Just go ahead and scoop this book up, you can’t go wrong with this one!

It was different. Good different. Took a while to get into and I did check back to see if there was a prequel I'd missed. There isn't really any build up. The boyfriend is already there, the open relationship agreement and falling into bed with Cody and T. The circus stuff is interesting. There is a lot of sex and strong on the MM. Its more Poly than reverse harem.

I liked Loup and his easy decisions. Out of the four of them, I liked Loup and T's relationship best. Cody was waiting for things to go wrong and Fauve had issues and flew off the handle. Loup and T were easy and sweet with the phobia helping. I felt sorry for Cody and T with how quickly Fauve cut them off when Loup made an early appearance. If she'd been honest from the start, things might've gone smoother.

The opinions of each character felt loud. It felt like each one was trying to be a lesson. Not a fan of nicknames in general, I did like the wolfie one though. I liked the multiple POVs. Another one with mother issues, I'm hoping she stays scrapped. The sabotage was a bit far. Poor Daniel. Slight mentions of eating disorders and bullying. It'll be interesting to see where they are two years on, so looking forward to the next one.

Original, creative and just *chef’s kiss*

I never knew I needed acrobats and a circus school when reading a romance book but it was so well done. I’ve read a lot of books and I think this is one of the most original ideas I’ve read in a very long time. The settings and concepts were different and the author’s creative use of actual types of performances and creative pieces sent me down a YouTube rabbit hole that took me a wild to escape from. The school life and drama will keep you invested but the romance/relationships will have you just as interested (acro-smut, that’s all I will say). It was a very well-balanced book.

I adored the characters. There was some drama and a few twist and turns but they were very realistic and you could really empathize and identify with the characters. Fauve, the female main character, is so sweet and determined that you can’t help but cheer her on. Loup, oh Loup, I love him. Loup is her long distance boyfriend and you will 100% fall in love with him. He’s just such a great guy and… you’ll see. I love the others guys as well but Loup just had a special place in my heart.

If you want a light, original read, this is the perfect book for you.

Who knew I needed an Aerialist?

The book is finally here! Every version was amazing but look at this golden piece. There's drama, mystery, STEAM, circus acts I wouldn't even dream of, tattoos, and mental health and LGBTQ+ involved all around.

The writing is amazing and you definitely wouldn't know this is book one in a long line of many (I refuse to let you stop writing, EVER).

The story?? Holy balls, I had no idea what I was walking into when I picked up an rh circus book, but, man, I am soooo happy I did. There's nothing like it and, besides me being less flexible than a 2x4, is extremely realistic with school, family, friends, drama, mental health, all of it.

This book hits home and gives me hope. If Fauve can live her dream, so can I. The guys?? Oohhh, tasty, passionate, and so different. They all compliment each other and I love the amount of support their group holds. #cody4life #ilickeditsoitsmine

Manu shows us a new world with many possibilities and I cannot wait to read book two!

This is the book I never knew I needed but now I have immersed myself in this awe-inspiring new world, I am now addicted and I can garentee you will be too.

Fauve, is an amazing FMC she is fierce but not confrontational/dramatic like so many in this genre. She has an absolutely amazing open, trusting relationship with Loup her boyfriend, who she leaves when she goes to join the circus school of her dreams.

I love how the relationship develops between her and her room mates and Loup. I love the depth of the story, their growing and developing relationships and the amazing world building through the epic performances. The competitive aspect was nail biting and reminded by of the dauntless training in Divergent.

For a debut novel this was all encompassing, amazing world building and completely addictive.

Unique contemporary RH with a HFN ending. It is set in a school for circus artists. You clearly deal with a knowledgeable author as the describiptions are detailed and realistic (in sofar a laymen can ever judge that) without getting into tedious nitty gritty. Fauve is an open-minded and driven artist, defying her parents expectations by attempting a career as a circus artist. Her connections with the guys are spontaneous but get serious rather rapidly and unexpectedly. The dynamic between the RH is fun and spicy (including MM) and going from exclusive to open to a quad relation was very unique and natural. Only downside for me was that I hoped for a little bit more romance and relationship building (yes they communicate good and realistically, but I felt we know very little about the other guys backstory).

This book is just PACKED full of saucy scenes that will leave you in a hot mess, dribbling a little bit and then trying to work out if some of the positions are physically possible (I’ve been assured they are.lol) hence my new kink: Spaghetti seggs (no naughty words on Amazon)

Fauve is a headstrong, dedicated fmc with tons of character! Her open-style relationship with Loup leads her to rendezvous with the gorgeous duo of Thibault and Cody, and has a very happy ever after feel to it!

The book is very well written, it’s full of humour, love, angst, drama and triumph! It’s a nice change from the whole bully scene, not to say it doesn’t have its share of problems, but it’s a great plot that doesn’t just automatically follow the whole “fmc has a huge issue that knocks her back and then she triumphs and ahhhh all the world is right again” <— which makes a refreshing change!

It’s a 5⭐️ for me, and a great debut for Ms Rouget!!

Circus has always been a subject that I’ve loved to read about. Hearing it from the performers’ view: the high of performing, the grueling training, made the highs and the lows that much sweeter during this book.

I loved how much Fav was able to grow during this book, and how free she was as she grew into who she’s meant to be. She took a leap of faith to follow her dreams of becoming a circus performer, and that leap led her to her men.

The program that Fav is in is super competitive and when jealousies run high and there may be a saboteur,Fav’s safety begins to be questioned. Is she safe in this competition for the top spot?

This is a steamy RH, and I loved their story. I can’t wait to read the next one !

I LOVED IT.

This is the first RH book I've seen based around acrobats/circus performers. And whilst I don't have any clue regarding those performances, this book explained in detail exactly what was happening and I felt I was living (&flying!) right along side Fauve, Loup, Thibault & Cody.

The spice level was on point, not too much to take away from the storyline but enough that it started to heat up in here 🔥🔥

The character development was perfect, they each had realistic flaws, thoughts and feelings towards their situation and their relationships are stronger because of that.

I will quite happily read anything else Manuela Rouget wants to write 😉

Sensational!

I have no words! In fact I think I'm going to go back and reread it straight away. What an absolute triumph of a book. I love Fauve and Loup. What a relationship and incredible outlook on life, and I adore that when Cody and Thib join them it is true poly. There is so much love in this story, whilst at the same time highlighting Fauves struggles with her parents and the intense, crazy life she is leading as an amazing circus performer.
You truly won't regret this book, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. I have not put it down, and my heart feels like its bursting with happiness! Beautiful. Now, I'm off to reread.....

If you want a book that will instantly capture your attention this book is it. The characters are so well written, you will instantly fall in love with fauve and the guys. The way Manuela explains all these crazy circus moves and acts made it so I as a person who's not really into aerial arts was about to picture it perfect and really enjoy it! This makes me want to go see a show! And I love how there tender moments between everyone, but just FMC and the guys. If give it more stars if I could ❤

Did I needed Acro-smut? Apparently yes a'd I didn't even knew it! It was hot as sin!!
An original Rh with acrobates (I didn't knew I would need a story like this but Fauve was really interesting) I love sports romance and an rh sports romance is even better!!
Its really well written, doesn't feel at all like it's a first book, this book has M/M, really spicy M/M, every steamy scene was the spiciest 🌶️🌶️jalapeños.
The competition is fierce but inside it true friends, best friends and false friends are met.

Wow! This was definitely something new in the RH world! Loup has followed her dreams to train to be a circus acrobat and moves to France with 12 months to fight for her dream.
There are twists through this story (not just during the performances) and spiiiicy scenes a-plenty. With her hot as sin roommates to help her settle in, will Loup manage her dream and once her by comes over to live with her and the guys, what will happen to their relationships? You won't regret reading this gem!
