Lindsey Hart specializes in sweet to extra hot and dirty romance and strongly believes in happily ever after. If you are looking for a page turner, then you are in for a wild and naughty ride with feisty heroines and alpha male heroes.
This was a great box set of four romances by Lindsey Hart and Rose Chapman. Included are Sleeping With The Enemy, Hating My New Roommate, Hating The Billionaire Prick and Hating the Best Man. They are all full length books and have a common theme of enemy to lovers romance. The books are easy to read with engaging story lines and well developed characters. If you like sexy, alpha men you'll love this collection. The back and forth banter is hilarious at times. The couples are great but Stella and Hal will keep you in stitches. All the books can be read as standalones, have happy endings and no cliffhangers. I read a free advance reader copy via Lindsey Hart and voluntarily chose to review it.
Grab this box set with all new full-length enemies-to-lovers romance novels and get ready for sparks to fly. Titles included are:
1. Hating my Brother's Best Friend 2. Hating My New Roommate 3. Hating The Billionaire Prick 4. Hating the Best Man
The best thing for me about these stories is the fun they provide, whether with actions or silly banter. It gives a light touch to the story, takes out the “sting”, and lets the romance lead the way. The characters were well-portrayed, leaving a definite impact on the reader. The story lines were good, believable, and intriguing. That “fine line between love and hate” will be blown out of the water with these treasures! So grab your copy and enjoy the fun!
It was a cute story, but I thought Stella was little to much. Stella, Sam and Hal have been like brothers and sisters. With Hal's mom struggling to make ends meet, Sam and Stella's parents help out. Now they are older Sam is in his dream job. Hal is rich from being good in math. Stella is running a bakery, but really wants to really run a restaurant. What will happen when she goes to her brother for help? What will Sam and Hall to do help her? Will she take it or throw a tantrum? Life is full of surprises.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Talk about hate and love being opposites side of the same coin! Interesting characters and storyline. I was cracking up at the threats younger sister made to older brother as well as his best friend. They each knew what effective to torture/instill max fear. Sleeping with the Enemy is another must read by Lindsey Hart. *I was given a copy and am voluntarily giving my honest review.
I read the first and last books. I really disliked the first but gave the last one and the author another chance. Nope. In the first, it’s mentioned over and over how awful Hal was to the h growing up- the word “torture” was even mentioned several times by her brother. She hates Hal until suddenly, the childish pranks are funny and no longer worth being mad about? And after he turns her bakery upside down behind her back over and over so much that she decides to get out of the business, she launches herself at him for a kiss then a quickie in his office? Oh, heck no. Her immaturity and his, and her brother’s was grating. Hal’s manipulation of her was not attractive. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to be treated by that lack of respect. Her rage was also unattractive. She would just rage and bluster at him while he smirked. And he liked getting her mad and riled up. Nope. I’m so sick of authors creating an a$$hole then we’re supposed to overlook that because they’re handsome and rich? Please stop treating your readers this way! It’s not okay for guys to act this way and we don’t find it attractive. That’s not a healthy relationship and it shouldn’t be presented as such. In the third book, there’s a bunch of ow drama and once again stupid pranks that are really mean spirited. The h once again gets enraged at the H over and over and she’s constantly falling or getting covered in substances or having humiliations. I wasn’t sure if these things we meant to be funny but i wasn’t laughing. And he later admits to being a serial womanizer because he secretly liked her all along and was comparing women to her?? Or it was okay that he was caught cheating with a friend’s GF and then again with the same woman after the friend forgave her and they got engaged because the guy went on and married someone better? That didn’t make it ok. And the editing was poor - please learn the difference between worse and worst and use them properly (they were reversed over and over) or stirred and steered, etc. Sorry for the rant but these characters are not likable and the plots are awful. I hope to save another reader from wasting their time. There are too many better and worthy books out there!!
This is a book of 4 novels by 2 different authors, all premised around forced roommates situations. I found the first story okay. The second story started my pain. That story was set in a house where the woman had many pets, and obnoxious circular internal dialogue that was trying for humor but did not succeed for me. There were a few scenes with hygiene issues around the pets that also grossed me out. I finished the story, but it was only be sheer will. The 3rd story was by the same author. After noticing the same circular, stilted writing in the first few chapters, I finally decided I couldn't take it & skipped to the next book, which was by the other author. The final story started off better, but both leads were obnoxious & immature and more interested in their own petty games then that they were actually ruining their respective best friends' wedding. The writing quality also decreased as the story went on, with more just statements about actions/feelings, and an increasingly convoluted & ridiculous plot. And the leads continued to be obnoxious & immature. In short, I would recommend you save your money. There are many better romances put there.
This four novels in this boxser are not sold individually, but are each stand-alone novels having no character crossovers. I laughed so hard through all four books ans highly enjoyed them all!
BOOK ONE --- HATING MY BROTHER'S BEST FRIEND by Lindsey Hart
Stella needs fifty grand. She has to buy out her ex-boyfriend's portion of her bakery or her dreams will disappear. They broke up and he wants his investment so it's either get a loan or sell to pay him back.
Her brother, Sam, wants her to ask his best friend Hal. Her answer is HELL NO! She'd rather lose everything than to owe him anything.
Hal is an investment broker. After growing up with nothing and getting a scholarship into college he realized is was great at math and even better at investments.
I loved this book!!! I love Sam and Hal's relationship and the childish ways they still act towards each other. Shows how deep their friendship is.
This book is hilarious! The chemistry between Stella and Hal is wonderful. Her snarkiness and him egging her on. The storyline and characters are wonderful. I highly recommend this book!
BOOK TWO --- HATING MY NEW ROOMMATE by Lindsey Hart
Toys are Wilder's life. Years before he was born his father's toy inventions made it big and Wilder has inherited the love of toys and helps out in the business. But he also collects toys. He has a love for old toys. Antique toys especially antique toy cars. His sisters say it's an obsession.
There is one car he wants at add to his collection. THE.ONE.CAR. that he has been looking for for over 15 years. There are only two known to be in existence.
When he sees THE.CAR that has been loaned to a museum he writes to the owner. He is now outside Silas Graham's door after receiving a mysterious response to his letter. Silas is a 92 year old man who agrees to Wilder receiving the car, but on his terms.....he has to move in with Silas's great-granddaughter, Esme. Be her roommate for at least six months and the car is his free and clear.
Esme's opens the door to tall, built and handsome and knows her Pappy S is AGAIN trying to set her up.
This book is hilarious from the start. I love the characters two and four legged alike....or maybe eight legs. "Up. Up. Up. Look at Wilder lift the desk up." I would have loved to be a fly on the wall watching Wilder attempt to move that desk or more aptly a spider on the wall.
I love Esme and all her quirky expressions. Her girlfriends are a perfect support system, but Pappy S is priceless. I want him to be my great-grandfather even with all his schemes. Wilder takes all Esme's pets in stride although Hector might be a bit too much.
I totally enjoyed this book even if Esme got long winded in her head at times. The book is funny, quirky and a total enjoyable read.
BOOK THREE --- HATING THE BILLIONAIRE PRICK by Lindsey Hart
At the reading of his grandfather's will Finn finds out that in order to receive his inheritance he has to spend six months on a Kansas farm to prove he cares about his grandfather's company. A company he has worked his butt off at for the last nine years. The man had to have been senile!
As he pulls up to the farmhouse in the matchbox sized car his 6'4" is squeezed into he takes everything in in horror. Then a tiny woman runs out of the barn, the only building worth mentioning, in muck boots and overalls covered in ... well, he didn't want to think too much on that. If that's not bad enough a huge dog charges at him and starts humping his leg. HE HAS ARRIVED IN HELL.
Becki knew that Finn would rather be anywhere than he was now standing, but that was the point of him being there. His grandfather had been concerned that the business was Finn's whole life and he was concerned about his workaholic lifestyle and not being aware of anything outside of designing motorhomes.
I loved this book. Becki is hilarious as she has full on conversations with her rescue animals. Finn's experiences learning the farm and meeting the animals will keep you entertained. The bedroom scenes are smoking hot I loved the storyline. There wasn't a lot of angst in this story just Finn adjusting from life in New York to a farm in Kansas.
BOOK FOUR --- HATING THE BEST MAN by Rose Chapman
Carla is so excited that her best friend Hayley chose is have her wedding in Hawaii. She has all the events planned for the females of the wedding party and just needs to finalize plans for the mixers with the best man. Thank God that Drew's original choice of best man couldn't make it because that would totally ruin her week.
As she enters the foyer where she's supposed to meet the happy couple she comes to a complete halt not believing her eyes. NO, this can't be happening! Why is he hugging her and why is he grabbing scissors? And now on top of having to have an emergency haircut appointment she needs to complete some of his best man duties?
Damon doesn't understand what the big deal is about cutting her hair out of his watch. Carla is a cute, spunky, and hellishly sexy, all wrapped up in a sweet, enchanting bundle of evil. He knows his parents want him to butter her up so they can proposed a business deal, but he plans to sabotage a few of her events first.
I have to admit that at first I was appalled with Damon and found him to be the worst a$$hole and douchebag, but I came to realize like Carla I had misjudged his character. I seriously could not stop laughing through this whole book! Trying to one-up each other on bridal events along with denying any sabotage attempts.
I loved the characters and energy they have. These friends are the ones everyone wants who get up to just fun loving pranks, but will be protect your back in a fight. Others are just in need a serious white jackets never to see the light of day again.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! The storyline is funny, the characters are well developed and is it a well written with a wonderful bow to wrap it all up! Can't wait to read more by Rose Chapman!
Unfortunately, sometimes the prejudices of childhood carry over into adulthood. For Stella Winters, the lean, lanky blonde with porcelain skin and fay blue eyes, her whole life has been lived in an antagonistic relationship with her older brother, Sam’s best friend, Haladon Windsongs Destinyblade Walker, better known as Hal, or Halitosis Hal—depending of Stella’s mood. And, if handsome, well-built, green-eyed Hal’s absurd wizarding name were not enough to set her temper on edge, then the fact that he had become a millionaire or even a millionaire, actually becoming a true financial wizard, able to magically, mystically read the tea leaves of the stock market and turn smart investments into fortunes. And, with the rewards of his wizarding stock market magic, he had spun his magical gain into the foundation of another financial achievement when he opened a venture capitalist firm, investing his magical money into young, fledgling businesses, offering his guidance in growing those young businesses into strong, vibrant enterprises.
But while brother Sam and his bestie Hal departed to enjoy the experience of college, gaining degrees that would unlock their futures, Stella had made other choices. Her dream had been to train to become a chef. But when it was time for her to intern with a chef in Spokane, her mom was diagnosed with cancer, and there was no way she could leave her mom and dad without help to manage her mom’s care. So, rather than fulfill the required hours of her study and internship with a chef in Spokane which required her to relocate or at least commute back and forth to Bellevue, she altered her plans and stayed in Bellevue to help her parents. Her vision of being a chef morphed into becoming baker, and she was comfortable that she had made the right choice.
And, without her protective brother in town, Stella had allowed herself to make a few bad choices. Without Sam in town to nudge her in another direction, she had started dating Daryl, a rich man’s spoiled rich son. And her bad decisions continued as she moved in with Daryl and allowed him to finance her in a bakery, until recently when a break up led her to seek new housing—a lousy apartment—and a new business partner who could loan her $50,000.00 to buy out her loser boyfriend’s investment in her bakery.
Now, fate—or an interfering brother—has turned Hal’s irritating wizarding attention and money into her personal business, shinning a light not only on her poor judgment in the selection of a boyfriend. But, attention has also been turned to her poor business judgement in even seeking a $50,000 dollar start up business loan from the obviously ill-chosen and now ex-boyfriend and business partner.
And knowing that she did not have the collateral for a business loan, interfering Sam has turned the financial wizard, Hal’s, attention to her small, struggling “cakery” since bakery, according to the wizard, was not an appropriate name for an establishment that only baked cakes, cake pops, cupcakes, and doughnuts—no bread, buns, bagels or anything like that which would have allowed the establishment to truly bare the name “bakery”.
And as a conscientious venture capitalist, Hal does his research in his new. Yes, he knows her as his best friend’s sister that both guys enjoyed teasing and tormenting through their youthful years. But now, Hal begins to notice Stella as a loving daughter who sacrificed her own dreams to support her mom during her illness. And, he observes Stella as thoughtful employer who make her workplace an affirming and happy place for her employees. But most of all, Hal notices that Stella is a beautiful, intelligent woman who touches his heart and mind in ways he never considered vulnerable to a woman’s attention.
Lindsay Hart once more examines and crushes some of society’s misconceptions of how a women and men should act, look, love and respond to each other. The author lets the readers fully appreciate the challenges faced by both men women seeking honesty and truthfulness in relationships, and desiring to be true to themselves. She offers the perfect comeback to the false patterns which society, and one’s on expectations, impose on the individual.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review ARCS, but I enjoyed the reading experience so much that I bought a copy for my "read-again" titles.
4.5-stars overall for the four new full-length books in this boxed set by Lindsey Hart & Rose Chapman
This boxed set is hard for me to review but even harder for me to rate so I am including my thoughts behind my rating which I am hoping will give other readers the info to also purchase Sleeping with the Enemy boxed set. First, for full disclosure I did receive an advanced review copy, but the ARC only included one of the four stories included in this boxed set which was Hating My Brothers Best Friend by Hart which I would rate 5-stars if I was rating the one story I received as an ARC. Lindsey Hart is one of my favorite authors so I could be considered bias except for the fact that she brings it with every single one of her stories. What is 'it' that Hart brings? I find it hard to put it into to words or describe 'it'; maybe 'it's' the way Hart's stories come together, even though a lot of the time the romcom genre seems to be similar storylines on repeat or maybe 'it's' just Hart's way with the wording. I can't say for sure what 'it' is, but I do know when I start reading & think ugh this storyline seems similar to another book, however as I read Hart's version I find I don't care I read something similar because by the end, I would have wanted to read this author's version every single time. Her stories have a way they just flow, where the reader almost as they are there with the characters; included, witty, laugh-out-loud banter (yes, you will laugh-out-loud at least one-time with each of her books, guaranteed), heat, steam & a sexy male main character you may want to be your new "book boyfriend". With this boxed set, this is your choice of four new book boyfriends as three of the books were by Hart & one book by Chapman. And, while Chapman's book may have had a few grammatical errors, her male lead actually might be my favorite of all four. If I had to individually rate the books; Hating my Brother's Best Friend 5-stars, Hating My New Roommate 4.5-stars, Hating the Billionaire Prick 4-stars, Hating the Best Man 4-stars (would have been 4.5 without the grammatical errors in my purchased book). Bottom Line, this boxed set is worth your time & personally I wouldn't pass it up.
Even though I did receive an advanced review copy of one book of this four book boxed set, I also purchased the boxed set and am voluntarily leaving my own unsolicited, voluntary opinion with this review.

These two authors did a really good job on their delivery.

From the moment I started reading "Sleeping With the Enemy" I had a smile on my face. Lindsey Hart has such a wonderful sense of humor - I bet she is a lot of fun just to be around! I go in spurts with my reading preferences, but lately, I have been wanting to read stories that make me relax, smile, and just plain make me feel good. The last several books that I have read by Lindsey Hart have done exactly that - but "Sleeping With the Enemy" has been my favorite so far! Hal (H) and Stella (h) have known each other since they were kids. Along with Stella's older brother, Sam, the three of them grew up together with the boys often tormenting Stella. The way Hart writes, you can picture little kids doing all the antics that happen in the story. I wonder if she had a rubber band fight when she was little?! Here it is, years later, and the threat of elastic projectiles still looms over them! I also love the verbal sparring that occurs throughout the story. Rather than using short, concise sentences, Hart's characters have a battle of words that are so cleverly written they will leave you laughing and rereading them over and over again. If you are a fan of Lindsey Hart, you will love this book. If you are new to her, be prepared to have a new favorite go to author!

An enemies to lovers romance. The story I am reviewing is - Hating my Brother's Best Friend
Stella has broken up with her boyfriend, but as he was financially invested in her bakery she has to find a way to buy him out. Her brother suggest she speak with his friend Hal, as he has plenty of money he could lend to her. This is one this Stella does not want to do, she would rather sell her bakery to pay back her ex than involve Hal. He may be her brother's best friend, but they both made her life a living hell when she was younger and she hasn't forgiven him yet. However, her brother mentions it to Hal without telling her and Hal goes ahead and pays off the ex boyfriend, making him Stella's new business partner. Little does Stella know that Hal has liked her for years and know that she is single he intends to do something about it, even if it is just by annoying her by becoming her business partner. He wants to be around her and if that is his only option then he is taking it.
I enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend reading it.

Growing up Stella was on the receiving end of endless brotherly pranks from her older brother and his best friend, Hal. Due to years of torment, she developed a pretty deep hatred for Hal. However, when Stella’s bakery is in financial distress due to her awful ex, her brother asks Hal to invest in the bakery, which throughly infuriates Stella. What Stella doesn’t realize though is that Hal has secretly had feelings for Stella for years though and he sees this as the perfect opportunity to be an active partner in the company - just to spend time with Stella now that she is officially single. Their tension filled banter is rooted in an undercurrent of attraction from both parties that has been slowly burning under the surface for years. Once Stella drops her deeply rooted dislike for Hal the undercurrent sweeps them both into a fast paced steamy romance! Lindsey Hart writes easy to read, sweet romances with characters that are likable, and so far always end in a HEA. You should check her out!

This was a great story that I enjoyed. The story is about Stella and Hal who is her brother's best friend. After years of being bullied by Hal, she has come to hate him. They were enemies during their childhood because she was always bullied by Hal. When years later her bakery gets into trouble due to the money problems her ex has caused and needs an investor to help her out.
She is certainly not happy that her brother asks Hal to invest in her bakery. Gradually feelings come and it becomes clear that Hal has been in love with her for years, when she lets him in and the resentment and hatred disappear, the steamy and passionate feelings surface between them. The storyline and the build up are great, the characters and the characters are also well described.
It was a pleasure to read this book, and it is easy to read and you also enjoy it. This is definitely recommended!! The author writes great books and I can't wait for the next one to come.
I have received an Advance Review copy of this book and will voluntarily leave a review
Stella is absolutely livid & full of hatred directed straight at Hal, her brother's best friend. The first half of the novel focuses on Hal getting under her skin & into buying out her ex's 1/2 ownership of her bakery. Now she has Hal as the other partner in her bakery, having him always underfoot & wanting to make major changes to her bakery. For years, she's been tormented & teased by her brother, Sam & by Hal. Instead of growing up, they are stuck in this rut of irritating each other to the point of no return or is there a way for Hal to sway her to see him as a good guy? She does a 180 & is a woman in heat, can't get enough of Hal & they achieve their HEA. I've always enjoyed Ms. Hart's previous novels but this one just rubbed me the wrong way with all of the hatred Stella spewed towards Hal & yet he continued to tease her, always hanging around -- almost like stalking her. It was a bit much for me & overall I was disappointed.

Sleeping with the Enemy Collection contains 4 books - 1. Hating My Brother's Best Friend 2. Hating My New Roommate 3. Hating the Billionaire Prick 4. Hating the Best Man
This was a mixed collection for me. I have read a couple other books by Lindsey Hart that I enjoyed so I was surprised a few times with what I was reading. I do not know if it is the combination of Lindsey and Rose Chapman, who I have not read before, that I had the issue with. I did not like the first story but read the next which was okay. The other two were basically the same. In the end I think this collection of stories was just not for me.
I received a copy of this box set and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own and other readers may love these stories. So if you are already a fan of Lindsey Hart then pick up this collection and make up your own mind. But if you are new to Lindsey Hart then I would suggest you start with her Alphalicious Billionaires Boss series first.
Lindsey Hart has a knack for writing quirky characters with colorful vocabulary, but not the dirty kind. In this book we meet Hal, of the wizard name (you’ll figure it out when you read the book) and Stella. Yes, Hal has quite the interesting name, which, admittedly, gave me a few chuckles. These two have know each other since childhood, and they’re constantly at each other’s throat. This is a brother’s bf and a enemies to lovers romance. It’s silly and fun, sweet and sexy, but also had a bunch of tender moments! I am no fan of man buns, at all, but Hal’s adopting of Carla and Marla, and later Stella the cat, completely melted my heart!! I get Stella using her colorful vocabulary, but when Hal used “farge/d” it just felt strange. I would have liked a bit more development on their feelings leading up to the present, maybe a flashback scene. The epilogue was great.

Four brand new stories are within this box set. The story I read have that touch of humor, angst and drama, and steamy romance with personable characters that Lindsey Hart writes in her books. This boxset is written with the enemies to lover theme. The four stories are Hating my Brother's Best Friend, Hating My New Roommate, Hating The Billionaire Prick, and Hating the Best Man. The Arc I received on this is the first story Hating my Brother's Best Friend which is about Stella Winters a baker and Hal Walker. Stella's needs a loan to buy-out her ex-boyfriend who she owns fifty grand. Hal best friend of Stella's brother Sam is a investment billionaire is the last person she will go for help. While growing up Hal was Stella's personal prankster which she never forgave him. When Stella finds out Hal is now her business partner, the gauntlet has begun. This story was a enjoyable ARC I volunteer to read and review via Booksprout.
Stella needs a loan to buy out her ex boyfriend from the bakery that she started. Hal is her older brother’s best friend and now a billionaire investor but Stella has always hated him because he was always a jerk to her when they were younger. Her brother asks Hal to help her but he ends up buying out her ex boyfriend and is now her business partner. They become attracted to each other when they are forced to work together but have very different ideas on how the bakery should be run. Can they successfully run the business and find happiness together?
I enjoyed this story where childhood enemies come together as adults and have to work together. The story was a lot of fun to read and I loved the epilogue,

This is a really brilliant book, when I wasn't smiling I was having a little laugh. To all intents and purposes Stella and Hal (his full name is priceless) really don't get on and it's been like that since Hal and Stella's brother Sam have tormented and pranked her all their childhood years. Some of the insults flying between them are hilarious but the insults are like a wallpaper cover up job. Sixteen year old Stella had enough maturity to stomp down on her feelings for Hal so as not to upset the status quo between family and friends. Hal has kept his feelings to himself (a) because of his friendship with Sam and (b) because Stella wasn't free, however when he heard Stella is single again he decides all bets are off!!! Look out Stella he's coming for you, or will he be in her sights.

Hating my brother’s best friend is the first story in this collection from author Lindsey Hart. It is hilarious, romantic and fun to read. Stella needs $50,000 to save her bakery her ex boyfriend had invested in now wants his money back. Desperate for help she asks her brother for help, he suggests she asks his best friend Hal and Stella's nemesis from their childhood for the cash. Hal used torment her when they were younger and in her teen years. Hal coming from a poor background has made a fortune trading in stocks and is now a venture capitalist helping out small businesses. No way does Stella want any involvement with him, but when her brother tells Hal of her predicament he ........well this is where the fun starts. A great story which will leave you with a smile on your face throughout.
This is a review for Hating my Brother's Best Friend.
This book was hit and miss.
I really wasn’t keen on Stella. She seemed a little childish to me. Her insults were annoying, especially all the wizard references. I liked Hal. He put up with a lot. I couldn’t work out how he was attracted to Stella, other than her looks. She didn’t really have many redeeming qualities.
I did like Sam too. Maybe he gets his own book. He wasn’t painful like his sister. I wished the adopted grandmothers were in the story more as I think they were good characters too.
I did enjoy the style of writing and some of the banter. It was just hard to enjoy the book too much when I didn’t like the main character.

This is a good book that had great promise, but spent too much time experiencing the memories of their childhood arguments that continue into the present. Hal and Stella were close as kids since her brother, Sam and Hal were best friends. Stella had a crush on Hal and, amazingly, he returned the favor. After culinary school, Stella wanted to open up a bakery but was short on cash. Hal had made a name for himself, and millions of dollars, with his math wizardry that he turned into a top-notch investment firm. When Stella needs $50,000 for her start-up, Sam "mentions" to Hal that maybe he could help her out. He expects Hal and Stella to continue their arguing and pick at each other, but what he doesn't expect is for them to fall in love. It's a very cute story that, with more layers to the dialogue, could be a terrific story!
Hal (what a creative name for a wizard) and Stella have know each other since childhood thanks to his being her brother's best friend. Doesn't mean the two of them always got along...or barely ever got along per this story...but being a grown up changed their reasons to doubt into reasons to hope. I loved their level of playfulness and how he turned his nothring into a lot of something - not just for him, but for everyone around...even when it pushed Stella to the highest points of pisstivity!! I laughed and swooned over their shenanigans and the love they eventually gave permission (even from an almost reluctant Sam) to flow. And let's not forget the heat and the heart of it all. The only thing I didn't like were the enormous amout of F-bombs exploding even from the beginning!!

This is a review of Hating my brothers best friend within the box set I loved this story. Sam and Hal have been best friends since they were tots. Their biggest joy was tormenting Sam's sister Stella. Stella grew up with a passion for hating her tormentors. Sam she had to love, he is her brother after all, but Hal she could detest with a vengeance, he is not blood. When things go badly for Stella only one person can help her, but Stella's disgust runs so deep she will not allow it. Does big brother know better. Does he realise what he is starting. A great story full of love and comeuppance. I thoroughly enjoyed the chateaus arc and plot detail. I definitely recommend this book and box set. Successfully Challenged - Even though Stella always tries to create conflict each time she interacts with Hal, her heart seems conflicted about how she truly feels about him. Hal resorts to dirty tricks to get Stella to go on a date with him, but what he didn’t expect was how the night actually ended. It appears they both enjoyed their antagonistic interactions, engaging banter and strong personalities.
If you want to read a book with enough sexual tension to get you wet, a storyline to keep you entertained and characters that make you want to friends with them, then I suggest you get this book, as it is really worth your time and money.

Lindsey Hart has sent us another great book. When you need a new perspective on an old subject you can find it here. Stella is the perpetual pain in the butt little sister to her brother Sam and his best friend Hal. Hal practically lives with the family but Stella can’t or won’t think of him as her brother but that may be due to a small crush that she can never tell anyone about. When her life gets a bit crazy Sam cons Hal into saving her behind but that doesn’t mean that’s all that Hal wants to do to said behind! Anger, confusion, lust, confusion and electric sparks show themselves but will reality allow happiness or will it bring heartache?

This was so fun to read, I loved the constant bantering back and forth with all the characters. Many childish antics between all of them which really brought the aspect that they knew each other forever. The character development is great and the storyline is interesting as it’s Stella’s big brother Sam who asks for the loan of Hal, because she would never deign herself to ask something of Hal due to the love/hate of their relationship since they were kids. Only now Hal has different ideas, which makes it all the more interesting. Wonderful to read this love story that has animosity between the main characters til they finally realize what is more important.

Love and hate are closer than you think and sometimes the passion of the one turns into the other. Hal and Stella have been fighting for years. He was her brother Sam's best friend and grew up around their house. The teasing and pranks were monumental. As adults they are still trying to annoy each other. The banter between them was epic. It was hate until it wasn't. I enjoyed their characters and the sisters working at the bakery although they were perhaps portrayed as more elderly than they should have been at their age. The sex between Hal and Stella was fun and flirty and even though I am not a cat person, I even liked cat Stella. This was a quick entertaining read as are the authors other books.
