When you have a week to save your life, you get off your butt real quick.
I have a bounty on my head worth fifty million dollars. Every assassin I can think of will come for me. Even the ones I had called my friends. To end this nonsense, I need to kill Ethan Carmotte, the man responsible for funding the contract. But first, I need to find him.
I have a week to get from San Francisco to New York. A contact there is the best at digging up information. It won’t be easy, though. News about the big payday is out, and money-hungry assassins are circling. Attacks are imminent. I know that much for sure. But if I can make that trip and not die in the process, I’ll have a real chance at finding Ethan and making him wish he’d never made this dumb move. Wish me luck.
Ty Hutchinson is a USA Today bestselling author who writes dark, high-concept thrillers that punch hard and don't let up.
A full-time nomad since 2013, he blends real-world detail with twisted imagination to deliver binge-worthy stories—where the rules are bent, the stakes are high, and the exits are never marked.
Living everywhere and nowhere, he's drawn to strange things and peculiar people—almost always leading to one question: what if?
Loved it because it moved very very rapidly. Finished it in less than a day. But I wonder why it takes multiple head shots, even after the first one succeeds to off a villain. Actually if you read BenPorter in FalseAssurances, threat bias and subversive Addiction you’ll see he’s more efficient!
Come on.... 50 million for a hit? Pretty stupid premise to start with. OK. At the 10% mark, this book has already earned my TSTF award. Oh, that stands for 'To Stupid To Finish'. This is probably a book for adolescent males who have yet to start using their minds. I'm done.
The action in this book reminded me of crouching tiger hidden dragon - too far fetched. It is one thing to see this much action on the big screen, but it is crazy in a book. Every step, turn, jab, etc. becomes boring after the first few kills. Plus, the fact that this small woman can beat all if these men is ridiculous. There was more action than storyline.
Sei knows she was filmed at the casino but she doesn’t bother to hide the bike in China town. For someone that is supposed to be a superior assassin, with a 50 million dollar bounty on her head, she wasn’t too bright. This was just too unbelievable to like. “Dumb Move” describes it perfectly.
A huge bounty hangs over the deadly Sei, posted by former increasingly deranged ex-patner Ethan, assassins, gangs and streetpunks attempting to end Sei, continually underestimate her fatally. She does what she does best, turning from prey to hunter unleashing her honed skills to bring retribution to Ethan. Action packed high octane adventure. What a film this would be
Dumb Move by Ty Hutchinson: First thing is WOW, a very quick read, the character of SEI the assassin is beyond comprehension to me. Her development and quick action to settings around her are just sensational! If you are looking for a slow action tomb, this is not IT! Sei is herself a ONE-WOMAN Wrecking Crew. We are reintroduced to characters from her past and they give Sei Aid in the only way they know! Weapons, weapons, information, and a safe haven to hide from her EX, Mui’s Father. Talk about a bounty, I am sure the Author will have another installment percolating on the horizon for us in the not too distant!!! Our author has introduced a new Character in Jeong-Ja. Could she be the next in line for us to walk into battle with? Will she become the understudy to Sei that it is alluded, I have a feeling the answer is YES, Yes and YES! Each action-packed page leads one page turned after another, the almost found out Sei here and the EX Carmotte, now facially exposed what will be the next happenstance in the bounty placed upon SEI. Mui is still in hiding at Abby Kane’s all the while Sei is this unending cast that wills themselves int the pages to collet that Bounty! Those of you that have read my Reviews of This Series, Mui’s and Abby Kane’s know that the pages turn, the action and actions are realistic, the Characters are well defined and are believable, the action of a call to arms is in today’s world realistic as well! I am thoroughly enjoying each new adventure from Ty Hutchinson, and I engage you to become also. I know you will become a fan of the descriptive writing, the believable and strong characters, and the development of said characters is of someone that you may know, believe in, and certainly trust in your community! The DUMB MOVE is a page turner, it is literature that entertains you, builds trust in the characters of which the pages are written, A DUMB MOVE on your part is to NOT read the BOOK! From myself, if you give this Author a chance, I think you will find a friend and someone you can trust with your valuable time of READING, as it is so enjoyable, such a strong character of honesty, integrity and believability that will keep you like he has done for me, keep my coming back and pre-ordering the next and the next and the next! Like Christmas of just last week, my eyes light up, a smile sets on my face, my glasses are cleaned as I turn my Kindle to what it is for READING! Check this out, I know you will enjoy the complexities, the compassion and diligence each of Ty Hutchinson puts for his readers! Respectfully,
Chuck Mercik PS. I sign my name to each review because I have read the book and fully endorse it! I was taught that if you write something you must sign your name, let your words speak and let those know where they came! Happy New Year!!!
Sei, on the hunt for her former psycopathic ex-lover/daughter's kidnapper is forced to move out!! And boy does she!! Shooting and stabbing and hacking and slashing her way across the US!!
Jam packed action and the possibility of a potential unwanted, but sorely needed sidekick/trainee.
I pre ordered this book Must admit I am a fan of Sei and Ty. Once you enjoy his books , check out Ty's facebook page plenty of fascinating content.
Enjoy the series, prior assassin trying to lay low and trying to raise her daughter. Plenty if twists and continuing characters which you will enjoy. Can be read in order or as a stand alone story.

The pace and deception has you wondering every minute. Sei has to keep her head on a swivel if she wants to keep her head. Her skills and endurance will be put to the yeast as will her trust.
Superb action. Could not put it down until the wee hours of the morning!
I can't imagine people like this actually exist. I just hope and pray they actually do, And they're actually working for the better good Of this human race. Hailey recommend for any action fam.
Wow, this book never lets up! Sei has a bounty on her head and every assassin in the world wants to collect. Nonstop action from beginning to end with style and crazy good characters thrown in for good measure.
Sei sets herself up to protect Mui from her bitter father. Ethan. AND so, the story goes!!! How can she protect Willie??? A little bloody, but I enjoyed the story and recommend the book.
This book is too violent, repetitive, And poorly written. Same chapters written with different characters, weapons. Did not take talent or hard work, or imagination.
