Growing up in New York City, I used to walk the hot pavements in the melting heat of the long summers, and dream. Uptown to downtown, eastside to the westside, and underground to catch a subway racing out into the boroughs.
During my wanderings, my magic pencil spun out fantasies full of romance, with first meetings, heartbreaks, and reunions. Sometimes my boy crush (unrequited, of course) starred as the hero.
I grew up, and after a stint in art school, became a lawyer ‘cuz a woman’s got to make a living. I came from parents who fled to France as refugees, and as an attorney, I dedicated my work to helping survivors of trauma and persecution.
I believe in them. In their grit, in their determination to hold on, to pull through and, somehow, someway, to keep themselves intact, body and soul.
Perhaps that is why I am drawn to writing stories of men and women who live through heart-rending pain, desperate yearnings and, ultimately, reach a place of redemption.
For a long time, I fought the urge to veer off the expected, safe path until I couldn’t go on unless I took a chance and made a change. I began to write, stopped, and began again. Finally, I gave in and here I am. Come join me on my journey…
the recluse heir was a good book for me and i'm glad i read this one because dark, mafia romance is a personal favourite of mine.
luca and cat's relationship developed early on in the book. it was a rocky start for them, as the lingering rejection from luca played a mild factor along with cat's impending marriage to nicu, so i was worried about that. however, nicu ended up being the mastermind orchestrating everything silently.
their relationship, once it took off, was equal parts soft and sweet and hot and sexy. luca is a GREAT dirty-talker, although there were some things he said that had me giggling, not because it was dirty, but because it was just hilarious—he called her ahem ahem, a "sugar p*ssy". okay but overall, an eight point five out of then for his dirty talk.
he's a complex character in the sense that he comes from a dark past, riddled with physical abuse and physical scars that continue to haunt him to do this day. he's accepted his past, he's accepted that he's not to blame, but he always held the faint notion that he somehow did something wrong. cat banished those thoughts with a smile and eyes filled with understanding. urgh, that damn scene, so bloody cute!
luca has to be my favourite out of the lupu brothers. he's the second-born, and whilst i don't know much about alex and nicu (his older brother and younger brother) i prefer him the most because he's a feminist. beside me immediately flocking to the broken characters, he's a man—despite his 𝘮𝘢𝘧𝘪𝘦 upbringing—who respects women and treat them more than brainless objects only for breeding.
betrayal is an imminent part of his life, which broke my heart. first, it was cat and then the revelation that altered a good part of his life.
i never took to cat's character. in my opinion, she was just too mentally weak for me. she held her own in quite a bit, but overall, she relied too heavily on luca and allowed herself and her relationship with luca to be tainted and compromised by her family.
her betrayal, albeit influenced by her family and despite it being a small indiscretion in the grand scheme of things, angered me. though, i do understand that all she wanted to do was save her brother, but she could have gone to luca.
then, when he forgave her and saved her from simu, she got upset with him. i understood her feeling like she was being tossed around, with arranged marriages held over her head, but she behaved as though her past mistakes no longer existed and made luca grovel as if everything was his fault.
the smut here was amazing, though. luca's possessiveness was even better and cat matched his possessiveness and i loved that bit.
overall though, i did enjoy this book. it was a great mafia romance with it being equally distributed between mafia and romance.
if you like books with arranged marriages, the guy falls first and isn't a womanizer, a forbidden and even considered taboo love in a sense and blood brothers, this is the book for you.
triggers: — mention of past physical abuse. — death/murder. — mention of cheating. — female mc has nightmares.
*is book two in the lupu chronicles, but can be read as a standalone*
I have to say I loved Luca! He's the epitome of a bad boy with a soft side! The spark between him and Cat was electric! It was there from the moment they set eyes on each other. And that's where the problems start....
Our FMC Cat is being set up in an arranged marriage to help her father settle some business debt with rival mafia family, the Lupus. Luca was initially told to marry her before even seeing her, but being the stubborn and rebellious one in the family he refused to be told what to do, and so his younger brother, Nicu, takes the job, reluctantly.
To redeem himself slightly he offers his secluded house to host the engagement party and to allow the Lupus to stay the weekend there.
While having a much needed cigarette break and some room to move, Luca is joined by what is possibly the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. Straight away the attraction is mutual and the sparks fly. Luca amstartscto think maybe thecweekend won't be so¹ bad after all...!!
Until he goes back in, in time for the engagement announcement, and is floored to find out it was Cat he was talking to. Cat the woman getting married to his little brother. Cat the woman he turned down. Cat...the woman that should have been is. But isnt. And won't be once she marries Nicu in 6weeks time.
Cat is just as gutted. And they set about trying to be the sister/brother in-law they're going to be. They not only like each other physically.. As they talk they find they enjoy each others company. Luca opens up about his childhood in a way he's never done before. The two are a perfect couple!
But it's no use. The attraction is just too powerful. And the inevitable happens. Cat and luca start an affair. And wow thel pages could have been set alight when they got together!!!! And that's not even with them having full sex, as Cat is a virgin and needs to be one on her wedding night to provide a lovely "blood bond" between her and her husband.
They both know it can't carry on like this. They need to either stop it...or try to see if there's a way to be together...
But with a mafia contract already written up in place?
Not to mention Cats brother loathes Luca. Would he even accept it,?
And them there's Sami. Her brothers best friend that she thought she'd get together with once upon a time. He too hates Luca, and his anger seems out of control...
Is it worth all the trouble? When at the end of it, they may not even be given permission to be together??
This was a lovely mafia read! A very sweet almost romeo/juliet style! This was the first book of this author I've read but I enjoyed the way she wrote and her story in general. Her characters are spot on! Cat was a great FMC. Fiesty, knows her worth and won't accept any less. She's not the pampered princess tat is expected with the daughter of a Mafia Don. Luca is the perfect rebellious bad boy with a troubked past and a hidden soft side waiting to be witha q. On their own they were fine but as a couple? Pure electric!
Will be reading more from this author, thats for sure!
I received a copy of the ebook in return for an honest review of the book

IF YOU WANT... - spice - mafia romance - forbidden romance then this book is for you!
The Recluse Heir is the story of Luca and Cat. Cat is a princess of the Popescu mafia. She's arranged to marry Nicu who's apart of the Lupu mafia. When they meet they have no connection or spark. She meets Luca who is Nicu's older brother. They have a connect, an attraction. Will they be able to deny their attraction to each other or will they give into desire.
THE SPICE IN THIS BOOK DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. Let me just say I'm in love with Luca. This book has love, desire, betrayal, and drama all in one. I can't wait to read Nicu's story.
The Recluse Heir by Monique Moreau is book Two in The Lupu Chronicles. This is the story of Luca Lupu and Catalina Popescu 'Cat'. Luca is the next in line in his mafia family. When his family and another family who is there enemy wants to form somewhat of a peace agreement a marriage of convenience is formed. But Luca refused to marry Catalina which then places his younger brother to marry her. When Luca goes to the engagement party he sees Catalina for the first time and with glance a heart of regret comes to him. Catalina is like no women he has every met before. Enjoyed this page turning read.
I absolutely loved this book and couldn’t put it down. I loved how Luca saw her and had to have her regardless of his feelings before. I loved how Cat came into her own and developed on strong backbone. Secrets come out in this book. Now, to read Nicu’s book.
I was gifted the ARC for this book and was super excited when it landed in my kindle. This mafia universe is incredible and had me hooked from the prologue. The characters!!!! chefs kiss!! Loved loved loved Luca and Cat’s dynamic. And I adored the plot, when I read the blurb I knew I was going to love it due to the plot line. If you love the likes of the made series you will love this!! I'm also a sucker for forced proximity and due to the engagement it had a hint of this trope in it!! If you like a good arranged marriage romance this is for you. I didn't realise it was the second in the series so I shall be going back to read the first one ASAP!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
I am Luca, the black sheep of the Romanian mafia Lupu clan. Cat, the woman I want as mine, Happens to be my brother's fiancé. What wouldn't I do to tear their engagement apart with my bare hands? As the second son, I scoff at the antiquated rules and traditions of my clan. When my family needs to make an arranged marriage with a rival clan, the next in line to we the spoiled mafia princess is me. I am not going to be led to the slaughter like some sacrificial lamb. Let my younger brother, the family lapdog, do the deed. The man is a soulless bastard, anyway. But the moment I set eyes on the precious princess at my brother's engagement party, I regret my decision. My knees almost buckle. She is beautiful. Sultry and innocent, she a lethal combination the likes of which I've never seen before. If only she wasn't already pledged to my brother. Cat: My family loves me but I'm merely a pawn in the shifting chess game between the Lupu clan and mind. As the good, obedient daughter to the boss of the Popescu family, I do what I am told. And that is to marry the youngest brother, a ruthless mafia prince with a reputation for cruelty. It's the least I can do to make up for the grief I've cause my family over the years. At my engagement part, I'm introduced to my fiancé's older brother, Luca. A man with cold gray eyes that make my skin sizzle with desire. The same man who already rejected me as his fiancé. I should hate him for it. Instead the more time I'm forced to spend in his presence, the less I can remember that he is strictly off-limits.
Get ready to fall in love with Luca and Cat. To say they are a match made in mafia heaven is a understatement. Catalina is the mafia princess who holds her family to the highest of respect, but this girl is far more than some arranged marriage's trophy wife. She is a good girl who has a really good head on her shoulder's and wants to give back to the world in some way. She is in no way or fashion ready to be forced to marry a man that she has no clue about and she is not ready to fall in line with being Nicu Lupu's wife. But she has not choice but to agree to it but there is temptation in the form or her arranged husbands older brother. Will she be able to resist him even though she knows that he has already rejected her once. However Luca had never met her. He had no clue what she looked like or who she was and now he is regretting that decision. Will these two ever get the chance they both really want or be forced to be brother and sister in law with all the heat between them? You have to read and find out but I really loved this story and really hated to see it end.
The Recluse Heir is the second book in The Lupu Chronicles series. As I had not read the first book, The Chosen Heir, I was not sure if the books were intertwined with a story-line that crossed over. But I was prepared one way or the other as this book piqued my interest. I did not have any issues reading this as a standalone but I may have missed a few things which were in the first book, just an inkling I got. This story is about Luca Lupu and Catalina Popescu. These two have a complicated relationship, well really a non-relationship at the beginning. Cat is a Mafia Princess who has been raised to be married off as an offering to build a relationship for her family. She ends up engaged to Nicu Lupu, who just so happens to be Luca's younger brother. That engagement only happened because Luca did not want to have an arranged marriage so he refused, and then it went to Nicu. The only problem, and it is a big one, is that now that Luca has actually laid eyes on and met Cat he definitely wants her in the worst way. When Cat meets Luca she is already aware that he rejected the marriage arrangement so she is not ready for her actual reaction to him.........like talk about wanting someone even when you know you shouldn't. Now the question is whether these two can end her engagement to Nicu and end up together, without bloodshed if at all possible that is. This is a well written and very mesmerizing book. The story-line kept my attention from the beginning to the end, and through all the twists and turns. I really liked Cat as she is a young woman who knows what her value is to her family but still wants to do more and be more in life. Luca was an interesting character as he may be part of the Lupu family but he does not necessarily want to do things the same way as before. He is ready to rock the entire family to get Cat in the end.....as the heart wants what it wants and be darned to anyone standing in the way.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

This is book two in The Lupa Chronicles Series and it is Luca and Cat's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Cat had finished at bidding school but she couldn't go to college with her best friend Jewel as Cat was going into an arranged marriage to strengthen the two mafia families and even though it was something that she didn't want but it was her duty as a mafia princess to follow the rules. When Luca told his brother Alex who is the head of the Lupa clan that he would not marry a spoilt mafia princess as Luca was a one and done type of man so the brother's fought about the situation and then Nicu stepped up to help out even though he didn't want it any more than Luca but it would be a discussion that Luca would come to regret. The first time that Luca and Cat meet there attraction was instant and the more time that they spend together the chemistry between them became more explosive but will they take a chance and do the blood bond so that Cat's engagement to Nicu will be broken so that Luca and Cat who are in love with each other can be together but things don't always go as planned. Omg I was absolutely glued to this book right from the start and it kept my attention right throughout until the last page and it was so addictive that I couldn't put this book down as it was a real page turner that kept you on the edge of your seat. Monique Moreau is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and the depth of her characters and storyline is what makes this book a must read and I can't wait to read more of her books in the future.
I didn't realise this was the second book in the standalone series about the Lupu family but th fact I hadn't read the first book didn't hinder my enjoyment.
This story follows Cat, a sheltered mafie princess freshly returned home from boarding school. She's to be bartered off in marriage to the third son of the Lupu family, Nicu, having been rejected by the second son, Luca. If there's one thing Luca hates, it's having his hand forced so the harder he's pushed in one direction, the harder he will fight to go in the other one. It isn't until he lays eyes upon Cat at her engagement party with Nicu, that he realises his mistake. She's his ideal woman and though he fights it, it's plain for all to see.
Cat is fiesty and not your average mafie princess. She knows her worth and knows how to take what she wants. Her attitude was freshing! Luca was the perfectly reluctant broken hero. Ugh. My heart broke for him as he reveals more and more of himself. I loved him!
Together they fit together perfectly and, despite some plot developments that try to ruin their hopes for a HEA, these two truly see each other down to their very souls. And that came across in the writing. Add in the chemistry being off the charts and you've got a winner.
The secondary characters were well drawn; I'm very enticed to read the previous book and the upcoming one as well. The scene is set for fireworks, that's all I'm gonna say!!
My thanks to Greys Promo and the author for an early copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.
After reading book 1, I thought the author, Monique Moreau had set herself a difficult task: 1) to write a story about how Luca, the second son, stole his brother Nicu's fiancee away from him; and 2) to also write how Nicu started an affair with Cat's best friend. Cat being the fiancee of Nicu stolen by Luca. You'll get it when you read book 1, as the plot for this book is preluded in the first book of the boxset. Thank goodness for boxsets!
Yes, it's a bit confusing now, because you maybe haven't read any of the books, but trust when I say that Monique Moreau can write a story with multiple twists and turns. The political ramifications of creating the background story for the Romanian mafie in this series were brilliant manipulations of social structure by Monique. Besides the fact that within that structure, she found loopholes that allowed the characters to explore their heated chemistry to the fullest (take your clothes off) kind of way.
I'm thoroughly enjoying this series. The final epilogue from this book gives a feisty peek into the beginning of Nicu's affair with Jade. It sounds like it will be another novel I'll have to read in my scivies. Cheers to hunting down your next fabulous read. I've found mine; I hope you find yours!
This was a touch different than your standard mafia trope reads Not quite as bloodthirsty as some but the tension and betrayals between clans were always front and center I read this as a standalone though I think I shorted myself a bit by not reading the first in the series - that is a me thing I am going back to book one because I am all kinds of curious about Alex
Luca, who enjoys saying no just to say it, finds that this time his stubborn ways and quick to anger fuse may have deprived him of the one thing he truly wanted in life - A perfect partner
He likes his solitude and doesn't need the complications of a wife Until he meets Cat Her innocence calls to him on a visceral level he can not deny But she is forbidden to him
The tension between these two is cosmic from the moment they meet Playing strongly on their emotional connection which worked here The physically intimate scenes between them were more sensual than explicit I had some trouble with Cat's innocent yet aggressive behavior - not sure why but it did abate as the story progressed - She is a lot stronger than she first comes across as Luca just needs to get over the past - it is literally dead and gone time to move forward The small twists and betrayal added to the overall tension of the story and led to some great OMG moments
Now this is a VERY forbidden love story. Basically in mafia their are rules & vows when it comes to marriage. Cat & Luca broke every single one to be together
Cat & Luca story is VERY STEAMY, age gap, Romeo & Juleit mafia style story. Their is suspense that will keep you at the edge of your seat. Cat's family specifically her mam when she was calling her all the worst names under the sun. Her brother putting pressure on her to use her new mafia role. Which broke me cause I can feel the conflict within her to help her brother but to also betray the she loves...no more spoilers Luca is getting a more solid post in the Mafia world. He hadn't to marry to show the families he is a great leader and thankfully he feel heads over heels in love with Cat. It's a hard life in the Mafia especially when you are trying to prove yourself that you are the best & deadly. Marriage is important in the this world which you will learn more about in this book ...that's it no more spoilers
"I'll make it good for you, Cat Ready?"
Christo broke my heart! With taking care of their mam. I hope he gets a story. I can not for Nicu & Jewel's/Cat best friend
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "THE RECLUSIVE HEIR" This was a very interesting, entertaining, intriguing story full of betrayal, angst, humor, steam, witty banter, twists that make for an addicting read. Luca Lupu has a Dark haunting past of physical abuse, which makes him who he is today when he's told he going to be in an area he'd marriage to a Rival family he refuses tells them let his younger brother Nicu do it. Catalina Popescu is told she to marry Nicu Lupu he agrees because that's what she does my thing for her family knows that Luca refused to marry her. At Nicu & Cat's engagement party Luca sees the most beautiful alluring woman not know she the one he refused to marry & realizes he made a terrible mistake he had to fix. I love the journey Luca & Cat take you on their chemistry full of hot banter back & forth, it's not an easy road a few bumps along the way her family cause some problems will they get their HEA. I definitely recommend to get this very enjoyable read it won't disappoint I'm so looking forward to the next book "THE SAVAGE HEIR" Nicu & Jewel's story.
Monique Moreau is a new to me author, and I'm definitely going to start reading all her previous releases because I really like her writing style. Luca is the black sheep of his family, so when he's offered a bride for an arranged marriage, he felt no guilt at turning it down but little did he know what would happen next. Cat is a mafia princess who will do her family's bidding so she's not going to make a fuss about her arranged marriage despite the fact that Luca's younger brother isn't really her speed since she knows he's ruthless. Luca sets eyes on Cat & knows he made a big mistake as they have the sparks flying in all directions but it's not so easy to refuse the arranged marriage. They end up circling each other for a cool minute which totally frustrated me which was my only complaint but since I almost put it down for a break but I kept at it because I had to know how it all panned out, and I believe you'll feel the same way after you hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The Recluse Heir is a dark Romanian mafia romance that can be read as a standalone romance. It is also the second book in The Lupu Chronicles and the first book I read in the series. Even though this is true, I had no problems following along with the storyline. However, I was intrigued by Alex and Nina, and I wished I knew more of their story. So, if you’re like me and enjoy knowing all of the backstories, you may want to read their story first. Just know that it’s only a suggestion.
The Recluse Heir tells the story of Luca Lupu and Catalina Popescu, who are from rival mafia clans. Catalina has an arranged marriage to Nicu, who is Luca’s younger brother. Luca was originally supposed to marry Cat, but he refused. While at Cat and Nicu’s engagement party, Luca sees the most beautiful woman and immediately desires her. However, he’s not aware that she’s his brother’s fiancée and that he already refused to marry her.
Luca and Cat’s path to HEA was definitely a rocky one, but I truly enjoyed all of the twists and turns along the way. I’m looking forward to reading The Savage Heir, which is Nicu and Jewel’s story, and set to be released in January 2022.
This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and is Luca and Cat’s story. Luca has been dealt a tough hand in life, which has defined him to become the man he is now, and he is the black sheep in this family, so when he is told about an arranged marriage with a rival mafia family, he refuses and his younger brother is chosen instead, Cat is an innocent, obedient daughter, who is used as a pawn and she does as she is told by her family, so when she has to marry a man from a rival family she agrees. When Luca meets Cat at his brothers’ engagement party, he is instantly memorised by her. The chemistry between Luca and Cat is intense and undeniable, but will they have a future together? This is a well written story with engaging characters, and this is a dark, gritty, and intriguing storyline, with humor, family, and love, which leads to an entertaining and riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I love this world that Monique Moreau has created. Her characters are well developed. She keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the story. This on features the second brother in the Lupu family, Luca. And the mafie princess from a lesser clan, Cat. She has been cloistered away from the day to day mafie life by bing sent to a remote private boarding school. So she is thrown for a loop to find out that at 18 she is contracted to marry into the leading clan. But it’s not that simple. First her father and brother tried to trick the sef, the head of the Lupu and leading clan, into the contract. But he found out and the deal was changed to the second son, Luca. But he refused so it was again changed to the third son, Niko. And all she wants is to go to college and be a normal girl. As you can guess she is not happy to be tossed around from man to man. This story is full of twists and turns. With lots of action and steamy romance. I’m definitely hooked on this series.
I loved Luca and Cat's book soooo much more than Alex and Nina's. Both MC's were strong on their own and together for the most part. I think it faltered a bit during Cat's betrayal, after everything her and Luca had been through together she should have trusted him first instead of her family. Other than that though I really enjoyed these two together and I don't typically like stories that involve OM/OW stuff, but while Cat was engaged to Nicu at first, she was always meant to be Luca's. I liked how Nicu realized this and did what he had to do to get Luca to realize it as well. There were still some spelling and grammar issues, but not nearly as much as the first book. Although I do wish we had gotten to see the big wedding for these two, especially because that has been pretty much the whole plot of the first two books (a wedding between the two families) so it kind of sucks that we didn't get that.
I don't think I've ever read a Romanian Mafia book, and this one was great. I thoroughly enjoyed the story from start to finish. I get why Luca kept everyone at a distance and why he rejected Cat initially. Until he saw her of course, and now he just has to have her ... Even though she's now engaged to his in youngest brother Niku.
Cat wants Luka too... So she uses the blood bond so she can stay with him and get out of the other engagement.
Everything seems perfect until we it isn't. Her brother and his best friend...grrrr... They are so selfish. Man I wanted to slap them with how they treated her.
I just know that I could never be personally to ever be part of a Romanian Mafie family... Lol but I loved the story and can't wait to see what we happens next! I received an ARC for my honest review.
This is Book 2 in the Lupu Chronicles Series and my first read by this author, and I must say that I quite enjoyed the storyline and the characters. It is a dark mafia romance between Luca and Cat. These flawed characters are likeable, the connection strong, the chemistry combustible, and the unique plot makes for an entertaining read. What starts out as an arranged marriage turns into something more. It is an intense love story with drama, danger, intrigue, family dynamic, frustrating moments, and love, plus engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. An action-packed page turner with a happy ending. It can be read as a standalone but you enhance your reading pleasure if you read the other books in the series.
I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from Grey's Promotions and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This is nonsense. Starts with bathroom scene during Cat's engagement weekend . Unbelievable that 18 year old enters a bathroom where man is jerking off then raises her own skirt and starts masturbating. "Stayed a virgin this long in life but was a pro at masturbation." Then 27 year old Luca at later time in book says"showed him most perfect cunt he'd ever laid eyes on." Luca went into Cat's room just as she began to have a nightmare so she is weeping in her sleep. He gets in bed, holds her, caresses her , shushed her ,hummed to her and kissed crown of her head and she NEVER wakes up. But he fell asleep holding her and she wakes up first the next morning. Total nonsense, illogical and unbelievable. The story does not improve and before ending there is a role reversal as the 27 acts 18 and the 18 supposedly makes 27 year old decisions . Irrational story.
Again, as in book one, the storyline is very good. The characters are stellar. Confused by the h's father's lack of attitude regarding his consiliere and his son. And an inconsistency to me is how a gunshot wound to the back of the head can be passed off as self defense. This does not make sense. There are also enough word errors to prove there is no editor nor proofreader. Renting is not the present participle of to rend. Rending is. Using thing for think, imaged for imagined, griping for gripping. Bell Hooks is a name and requires initial caps, not spelled entirely in lower case. These, plus others, plus missing words suggests an editing need. I was disappointed not to get to see a big Romanian wedding, but would recommend this book based on the strength and thoughtfulness of the story despite its flaws.
Luca, the 2nd brother of the Lupa Mafia family, always in trouble, never followed orders, hated his father who was assassinated. Alex His brother was now the head and was always laying down the law which Luca rebelled against, argued all the time with his younger brother Nico. Their father got the brothers to arrange an alliance with their enemy by arranging a wedding with their sister, she wasn’t having any of it and ran away and went into hiding, (that was in book 1) also a complication regarding Alex and his love life, now retributions were called for, Luca had to marry the enemies daughter Nina, Luca refused, he wouldn’t be told what to do, that was his big mistake and the story continues from there. Loved books 1 & 2, hard to put down.
This is really a typical mafia book and I loved every single part of it. Luca was the typical hot headed man, meaning his words in the most truthful words, and loving the shit of his woman. Now, he is flawed as fuck! Don’t get me wrong, he was given a bad hand and he literally suffered a lot, and his life choices reflected them. He probably needs go ho to therapy, but even after that is would’ve still chosen him for Cat. Cat was this innocent cute 18 yo, who literally loved his family but fell for the wrong Lupo brother. Their whole relationship I feel was planned since the beginning, even though they were hesitant at first. Now the blood pact was H O T. Honestly, risk it all for their love! Amazing
A great read from the first page! This book will have you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen between Cat and Luca. Cat just graduated and respects her family like it's her job, but she still has a spine and not afraid to speak her mind. Luca is the recluse of the Lupu family, stubborn, but he only speaks the truth and his words mean everything. Cat is a mafie princess and knows her duty, but when it comes to matters of the heart, she won't hide her true feelings. Luca and Cat take us on a wild ride, with push and pull, chemistry that can't be ignored, and will these two give into their feelings or follow the path their families have laid out? Take a chance on these two, you will fall for them and want more of these two!
Luca has always done the opposite of what is expected of him. He was next in line to get married and he flat out says NO. Leaving his younger brother to do the family bidding.
The moment he spots Cat at his brother's engagement party, he regrets his decision. She's beautiful, a combination of innocent and temptress, that leaves him wanting what he can't have.
Cat loves her family but she is very aware that this arranged marriage is to join their clans and that she's only a pawn. At the engagement party, she meets a man with cold gray eyes and she finds him intriguing.
The more time they spend together, the deeper their attraction grows. And Luca is finally ready to make her his
