This is book eight of a series about a rogue of a space farmer/smuggler/adventurer along with an amusing and motley crew of alien cohorts. I suggest following the series in order to enjoy the references about, and background of, the various characters and villains. As a stand-alone novel I found some of the transitions between scenes a bit disjointed. With a background in the various characters motivations and previous actions this would be no problem.

I always avoid spoilers and do not reiterate storylines. There is plenty if non-stop actions, quirky characters and enough amusing interactions to rate thus book 5 stars without the previously mentioned difficult storyline transitions.

I thoroughly recommend this book for all people who enjoy the space opera genre. You will enjoy it!

I received an ARC - and the reason why I would sign up as an ARC reader is that I seriously love this fun space opera series. Immorally, Book 8 in the series doesn't disappoint. You have fantastic dialogue between the main characters and a whole new group of aliens and droids to get to know. Of note, you really need to have read the other books in the Space Rogues series before this to understand the sequence of events (and relationship between many of the characters) that have led up to this new adventure.

Well developed characters.

Love the dialog between characters.krebnack and drennog! I love the joke and human culture references. No long missile battle sequences. You feel like you are one of the gang..the whole series.

Really enjoyed reading the story and could not guess what was going to happen and never saw what happened towards the end. I have no doubt there will be another book coming out as the story is now where complete yet, I see more to come.

Monsters everywhere.

The Consortium have something the crew of the Ghost doesn't believe they should possess. They take it from them and give it to the GC. Then they go home.

Good read.

Fast paced, new characters were well fleshed out and the other characters stayed the same as they should. Only negative I saw was the book was a little predictable.

Another good story (episode?) in this series. While not my favorite so far, it is still solid. I’m sad I’m getting near the end of the series.

More fun with Wil Calder and crew getting in over their head before finding a way out of this latest mess.
