In the stifling summer heat of 2018, Sarah Evatt suffered every parent's worst nightmare: her six-year-old son, Charlie, let go of her hand and disappeared into a crowd.
He never returned.
Three years later, Sarah's life is back on track. She has met a loving new boyfriend. She has just moved to a gorgeous new home. She is finally beginning to conquer her grief and trauma, and accept Charlie is gone, once and for all.
Until she gets a visit.
A visit from a man she is convinced is involved in Charlie's disappearance.
A visit that makes her wonder whether Charlie might still be out there, after all.
And a suspicious message that threatens to unearth dark truths about Sarah's past.
Truths only someone closest to her could know.
As events continue to spiral, Sarah must unmask the person psychologically torturing her, and find out exactly who they are, what they want, and what they know about her son.
But who can she trust?
And will she be able to discover their identity before she loses control completely?
When I Find You is a dark psychological domestic thriller packed with twists and turns. You won't be able to put this page-turner of a novel down, right up to the staggering final page.
Crazy don’t even begin to describe this book ! People making you feel like your crazy because you remember having a kid but everyone tries to trick you! A must read!
Honestly don’t even know how I feel after finishing this book. So many unexpected twists and turns. Definitely wasn’t expecting the ending and at some parts I actually felt like I was going mad. I’m so impatient so it annoyed me at some parts but I couldn’t put this book down. 100% recommend.
This book had me gripped from the first page. As the plot unfolds I was challenged all the way about what was happening. This continued right to the end and was an incredible story that kept me theorising to the very end. It was awesome.
There was little opportunity to get the know the characters in this book well. You spend most of the time in Sarah’s confused mind. Attempts at creating suspense are very obvious and a bit cringy. It is very repetitive and I found myself skipping parts. I didn’t like the ending as I found it very unbelievable (especially the part about Gregg). Having said that, I liked that I didn’t know where the ending was heading or who I could trust. It did grip me enough to race to the end. A bit of a mixed review.
Rambling ,repetitive and so awful. I skim read most of it as I couldn't bare it, then skipped to the end to see if it got any better or any more believable. It didnt.
When I Find You. by R.A. Casey. I found this a book of intrigue …. Sarah was at a school fair with her 6 year old son, Charlie, he is a bit quiet and she wonders if he knows about her secret. They are just walking around hand in hand taking in what is happening around them. A band is going to start playing and Charlie runs down to get close to the stage. He goes missing .. where is he … who has taken him! A few years later .. it is the anniversary of his disappearance ..all these strange things are happening but when she goes to show people the evidence is gone … even her boyfriend Freddy doesn’t seem to believe her … The book has a lot of twists and turns .. I enjoyed the book!
The storyline was great, definitely shocked by the twist. It was a huge twist. I am an avid reader and some parts were hard to follow. I had to reread paragraphs to comprehend. It was a great read but I hit a few confusing moments nowhere I didn't know what was going on.
Not gripping. More like repetitive. This story could have been much shorter if not for all the repetitious filler. I don’t know if the author had a word or page minimum requirement, which could explain the need for repetition. It is a rather clever storyline though
I found this book to be intriguing, but very repetitive. At times I had to put it down because my head was spinning at the back and forth of it. I dont regret reading it, but I'm not sure that I would recommend it either.
This was the 1st time I've read this author and I'll read more. It was a bit different to books I've read before and I enjoyed trying to work out what had happened
It’s might be my lack of patience but I found Sarah incredibly irritating, to the point where I was struggling to get through the book. Very very repetitive and just too much beating around the bush. Ending was decent enough, good twist but just far to long winded, would not recommend.
This book was intense. I couldn’t put it down at all. There where so many twists and turns. I can’t even count how many times I said what the f***. If you like a good thriller that will mess with your head, go ahead and read this.
Serious, run, don’t walk, and grab this book. If you like a good thrill that keeps you guess this is the book for you. I can’t even tell you the amount of times I said what the f***. Best read of 2022 for me so far.
Very gripping read, kept me hooked from the start. I was also not expecting that plot twist…or should I say twists! I wasn’t even close to guessing. A must read for the thriller seekers out there.
