Now Felicia decides she needs a "wife" to help her juggle the demands of childcare, housework, and her fledgling career. Sensitive Brody Collins, an old classmate and "child care provider," fits the bill perfectly. But is Brody really who he seems to be? And what actually prompted him to take on the job of caring for   her kids?
Author Shari MacDonald "Nearly every woman I know struggles to balance dozens of competing demands on her kids and the carpool, finances and friendships, responsibilities and romance. This book is part of a series about the Salinger sisters, but it can stand on its own. I've been reading Shari MacDonald's books for years and this one did not disappoint me. The Perfect Wife had some of her trade-mark snappy dialog and funny situations that made me laugh out loud. A really enjoyable book.

Though not as wacky as book two, The Perfect Wife still lives up to its billing as a romantic comedy. Felicia "Fee" Salinger Kelley has been a single mother since her husband left her for another woman a year earlier. She's a strong woman but still rather overwhelmed as the mother of Dinah, Clifford, and baby Gabe. At her sister's wedding she becomes reacquainted with Brody Collins who she knew slightly in high school. Brody is the editor of California Dreams magazine and persuaded Lucy to let him have the exclusive coverage of her wedding, letting her believe he is an old boyfriend of Fee's. He used to have a crush on Fee and finds himself again being drawn to her. After a series of misunderstandings, he agrees to live in Fee's guesthouse and be a part-time nanny for the kids so she can seek work. Brody wants to get the exclusive story of her ex-husband and his starlet girlfriend but things don't turn out as he expected. This is a delightful book that I enjoyed very much.

Felicia’s husband leaves her and the 3 kids for a famous actress. Her celebrity sister is getting married. Editor of a magazine wants an exclusive story on both famous actress & celebrity sister. He can get both through Felicia. They knew each other in HS and she could be his in, it could work, right? Published in 1999 a bit vanilla and Christian based.

Salinger Sisters book #3 - Felicia has had it rough. Her husband leaves her for a much younger, prettier woman and she is left to raise their three children on her own. She is now struggling to juggle her kids, schooling, housework, meals, and her job all at the same time. Her sisters tell her that she needs a "wife".

Brody Collins is a news reporting hound. He went to highschool with Felicia and when he finds out that her ex has run off with the same movie star he has been writing about, he can't resist the chance for a good story. Even if that good scoop means posing as a nanny to Felicia's three kids. However, what will happen when Felicia realizes that Brody is not quite how he says he is?

Another quick and humorous read by Shari MacDonald.

A light read that I enjoyed, but didn't find exceptional.

A good story; I'm glad it ended well...because for a while that plot had a tendency to really make you worry if things were going to work out between them. Well-written, cute, romantic.
