An excellent self-teaching textbook, as all the books in Practice Makes Perfect series usually are. There are ten general topics, each with 5 dialogues which are aumed at making the readers familiar with colloquial French. Explanations of colloquial expressions and grammatical constructions are followed by practice exercises with the answers key at the end of the book. The readers can install a free app to listen to the dialogues and look at memory cards etc.
So all in all, a very useful textbook.
It's a pity though that there are no general review exercises at the end of the book like for example in Italian Conversation from the same Practice series

Excellent advanced workbook for practicing.

While I doubt I will remember much of the content, the translation practice makes the book worth your time. Not for beginners though, way too much idiomatic speech.
