Pope-
I’m a member of the Wings of Diablo MC and I shouldn’t be.
I used to be their enemy but they don’t even realize it. I do the best I can to repent for the life that I lived but some sins you can’t run away from. Some sins haunt you no matter where you hide.
Taking my own life seems like the best answer, it seems like the only way to stop the pain.
A twist of fate thrusts Holly into my life and now I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure she stays safe.
Even confess all my past sins.
I only hope my brothers and Holly can forgive me, before it’s too late.

Where are the fairies?
I don’t remember much besides looking for the fairies and wanting to fuck so badly it hurt. That was when I was dopped up on what Pope tells me is a bootleg version of Blue Bunny.
A version that is killing people.
Dr. Stokely has been using me as a guinea pig and sex slave for as long as I can remember but after a trip over the side of a bridge I meet the first white knight I’ve ever come across.
Pope pulled me out of that river, saved my life and brings me back to sobriety. He’s everything I never had and all I want is to be with him, what I don’t understand is why he keeps pushing me away.

She believes that sweets should have a larger piece of the nutritional pyramid and that Buffy the Vampire Slayer was one of the best TV shows ever invented. When she is not working as a nurse in her community, she can either be found reading, writing, or taking a walk while listening to music. She has been writing books in her mind for as long as she can remember but decided that maybe there were others out in the world that would find joy in the words she would put down on the page.

Awe this story is very emotional. This man has done things that he does not think he can live with anymore that he is hiding from everyone. She has been a guinea pig for drugs and sex. Now she has been saved by him so he has a new thing in live he can live for and that is to keep her safe. But there is one thing has to do is come clean about all his past and see if she can accept him even with this information. It is nice to see when someone gets to actually do something that means a lot to them in life to make them better.

Twisted MC Read

Where do I even start?! This book was emotional, dark and twisted in the best way possible. Pope sees a woman pushed off a bridge and jumps in to rescue her and he brings her back to the Wings of Diablo MC clubhouse property to take care of her. The drug, Blue Bunny, makes its appearance again and is being used on people in order to control them.

Pope is a man with many secrets some of which are heartbreaking. The things he has done in his past is catching up with him and he mentally is having a hard time dealing with the memories. Holly is woman who has no idea how much Pope had affected everything that has happened to her by the things Pope had done. All she knows now is that he is her hero.

There are some crazy twists and turns that keep getting thrown into the storyline that made this book a real page turner for me. I can wait to read more from the men of the Wings of Diablo MC.

Pope: A Wings of Diablo MC Novel by Rae B. Lake is an intense, emotional, raw and gutsy story that will have you anxious from beginning to end. Pope is this larger then life member of the WODMC who is keeping a secret from his brothers, one that torments him everyday as he is being haunted by his little boy's death which has him wanting to end his life. Pope was an expert forger and for the right price he produced fake documents for Yemen to kidnap people, when he saw the names of the people showing up missing or dead, he wanted out. But Yemen would not be deterred, Pope had to pay for his betrayal by watching his son be killed in front of him. His son's death left him physically and mentally rack with guilt. Not even his time in the priesthood could atone for his sins, when he joined the WODMC he found a family that he hoped would be able to help him but he finds the flashbacks of that night is causing him to blackout as he is suffering from panic attacks. Knowning he can't tell his brothers that he worked for their enemy, he has no choice but to end his life. Now fate will intervene as he sees a woman being thrown off the bridge, Pope now races to save her but in the end she might be the one who saves him.

One look at this young woman who is drugged out of her mind looking for fairies and wanting to have sex with him, Pope knows he needs to help her, so he hides her in one of the trailers at the club until he can findout what she is on. But Pope is about to get a surprise, he knows her as Holly. When he goes to his computer to check if she is the same person, he finds he is the one who provided documents for Yemen who sold her to Dr. Stokley. Keeping this from his brothers and Holly is becoming diffcult, as they see he is distressed but he won't allow them to help him. When he learns Holly is hooked on a forged form of Blue Bunny he does everything to help her, when the drugs are finally out of her system he learns what she endured as a sex slave under Dr. Stokley and has to confess all to Clean about Holly which doesn't please Clean at all. Now he has to hide his feelings for her due to his part in her abduction, but Holly is determined to be with Pope and wants to know why he keeps pushing her away. How long can he deny himself the passion that is building inside him? Holly who has been embraced by the club and their women will do all she can to get Pope to make love to her and when these two finally come together the chemistry between them was explosive. Soon danger and lies will be revealed when Holly, Maven and Toon are kidnapped by Dr. Stokley's men and are about to be drugged, but Holly is determined to not be used again so with Toon's help she attacks her captors and all three escape hiding in the sewer until they can get back to the club. What transpires next is violent, gut wrenching as Pope once all three are found and back at the clubhouse has no choice but to tell Clean and the others about his past. Now he is brutally beaten by Clean deemed a traitor and told to leave. Holly once she talks to Siren and the others comes to the decision that Pope can't be blamed for something he did as a young man that once he knew what his part played in the lives of Holly and other others he got out but look what he lost. Now she tells Clean he had no right to turn his back on him that Pope needs him and his brothers, Clean agrees to tell him to come back but learns he is missing and was taken, will they find Pope in time? What happens next to Pope once he wakes up will shock him as he sees who is behind everything. Hound is the traitor in the club who blames Pope for his part as he forged documents that had Hound abused as a boy, now is his time to get his revenge on Pope. Beaten and chained, Pope sees the other ex-prospects led by Rooster who is the leader of The Purged and is told of his plans to destory Clean, Ink, Wire, Archer, Vexx and Shepard. Knowning that this is his time to die as he refuses Hound's orders, Pope will not go out without a fight as his last thoughts are of his son and Holly. You will be on edge with an ending that was surprising, suspenseful, violent and full of promise as you will be blown you away as the men of WODMC form a plan and come together. Will they finally end The Purged! Once again Rae B. Lake has taken her readers on a do or die journey with this novel about Pope and Holly. This is a must read!!

What an emotional roller coaster. We have met Pope and why he is called that. However, he is being visited by his demons of past. Which for him is really hard to handle! I mean he tries but no matter he cannot get past that. He also has other demons that he is trying to redeem himself. Unfortunately he needs to tell the club but he is scared too. Then one night it all changes, just when he is about to make a decision, fate intervenes and he rescues a lady being thrown off the bridge. OH CRAP right, well it gets interesting because she is one of the girls he made documents for!! DA DA DAAA!!! Then the story just gets crazy from there. She is seeing fairies and acting crazy and wanting sex all the time. Obviously she is on something right? Well ??? Anyways, the story just gets crazier and you think that everything is good but then bam!! Like what is going on? I mean I don't think I have read a book like this in a while. It was one thing after another. We do get a happily ever after that is for sure but the ride there was intense and emotional. I love it and cannot wait to see what will happen next.

Powerful Story of Redemption

Another amazing addition to this action packed series. These men will do anything to protect the people and women they love. The Wings will sacrifice anything for those who mean the world to them and Pope is no exception to the rule.

However, his past decisions and actions might make him lose the brothers and their families forever. He has been trying to make amends but he has to trust in his brothers if he’s ever gong to find happiness and life in all the darkness! Holly has been drugged, abused, thrown around like a rag doll, and used for the evil pleasures of terrible men. She has finally been rescued by Pope and since she is finally free from the drugs she has only one thing on her mind. She wants revenge and destroy the men who have destroyed thousands of peoples lives. She feels at home with the Wings but once so horrible truths are revealed she hope she can convince them everyone deserves a second chance.

This is a wild ride and you will ache for Pope and his pain but knowing the history of these men it is not surprising how committed they are too each other and everyone they love. Finding redemption is never easy but their is hope. Happy Reading!!

This book just about tore my heart out for Pope. What happened to him should never had happened him or anyone.
Pope has a lot of secrets and he is trying to make amends for his past, but when the secrets get to much for him to hide anymore, he decides to end his own life for some peace.
Holly since she was a little girl has been a sex slave , and a someone to experiment drugs on to see if they don’t kill anyone. When she is with one of her owners, and they get tired of her , they throw her into the river, but Pope sees and rescues her. This action is the start of peace for Pope, and freedom for Holly. They will both get redemption.
All of their secrets are slowly unraveling, and they are not sure how to fix it.
When trouble comes and takes Holly, Maven and Toon, the MC is out for blood and don’t care who gets hurt.they are found and they people who had them are gone, this means war and its gonna be bloody.
Pope just need Holly because she gives him peace and love, something he hasn’t had in a long while.
The Wings find out about a war coming and that there are traitors have infiltrated them and other Clubs.

I already love the Wings of Diablo MC book series, but Pope: A Wings of Diablo MC Novel is an awesome story! It ends on a heck of a cliffhanger and a foretelling of things to come and has much MC action, drama, a blossoming romance, suspense, a mystery, some surprising twists, and characters that we have come to love and embrace. You always wondered about Pope, the former priest, and what demons would have him abandon his faith for an MC. The bounds with his MC brothers are stretched in this story as the past comes to the forefront to not only torture Pope but endanger his MC brothers. The characters in the MC and their women remain engaging and endearing. It was nice to see appearances by Eve's Fury. They are women who can handle themselves in any situation. However, it was a bit frustrating that when something was going on, they were relegated to be women that needed to be moved to safety. Nonetheless, Pope delivers what we expect from an MC novel and gives us even more beyond that. I look forward to reading the next book in the series!

This book will speak to readers everywhere. It is about the personal struggles, internal battle, and ghosts that continue to haunt, even in the light of day. Pope was a priest before he became a full-time member. What I like about his character is that he understands people. He has a strong faith, and can admit when he is wrong.
Trying to escape the pain and trauma, he ends up on a cliff on night. Before he jumps, he looks around and sees a woman being pushed off a bridge. Taking that as a sign, he hurries down to save her.
Holly comes to and begins to say things that are a crazy and just plain bizarre. It is clear that she is either mentally unstable, or drugged. Holly is an unexpected, but great character to read.
I recommend this book! There is a lot going on, but Lake does a beautiful job with these characters, and the MC life!

Well what can i say, but i was really blown away by this story. This story isnt for the faint hearted in need for a quick MC read. This story is on the dark side, we have Pope who seriously had some issues, and honestly i actually felt for the man and what he was going though. Honestly i felt it really was emotional, it was that good a book, and character. As for Holly, what this brave lady went though, she certainly is one strong women and i applaud her character.
This will certainly take you on an emotional rollercoaster of a ride, with the men and women of Wings of Diablo and whats more theres a few twists that you wont see coming.

If you love your MC books and you like them dark then this certainly is for you. If there were more stars to give i would so i have just rated it as a 5 star plus

Pope did many foolish things as a young man, but the trauma he has suffered since is unimaginable. To atone for what he did be becomes a priest. But he soon realizes Karma takes to long. He wants to be a man of action so he joins the MC life to atone for his sins. Plagued by hellish nightmares and daydreams that would make one crazy he contemplates the unthinkable. While out one night he rescues Holly after she is pushed from a bridge, unable to stop himself he takes her back to the club. He quickly realizes he knows her and is responsible for everything that has been done to her. However, bringing Holly to the club put a target on all their backs. Will Pope be able to save Holly and the MC? Or is Pope destined to suffer eternal damnation?

Pope holds a secret to his past one that haunts him to the point of wanting to take his own life, he was once the enemy of WODMC, though his brothers don't know. But when he sees Holly being pushed into the water, he becomes her saviour, butbwill become his in the end. Holly is drugged with blue bunny, when Pope save her he keeps her hidden till he discovers what she son and who she is, only to find they have a connection one that will either push him over the edge or be his redemption. Well written emotional read, that has some hard hitting scenes. And engaging story and characters you cant not feel every raw emotion possible.

Pope is traumatized by his past, the choices he has made and the consequences of those choices. After a late night ride, he witnesses a woman being thrown off a bridge and he jumps in and saves her. She is under the influence of a new drug that is causing her to hallucinate. The first part of this book deals with PTSD, trauma, kidnapping and abuse and can be very difficult to read at times. Pope decides to help Holly to make amends for his past actions but he keeps it a secret from his MC brothers. Chaos ensues, traitors are revealed and the book ends on a cliffhanger. Looking forward to the next in series.

I hurt so badly for Pope. Yes he was greedy and did some really bad things when he was young but with the Wings of Diablo MC club he's working so hard to mend his ways. He saves a girl that when he pulls her out of the river he knows she's one of the people he created a identity for. He is saving Holly but he still can't get rid of his demons. His son's voice keeps echoing in his head. When the MC finally find out what he did when he was younger he takes the beating that Clean gives him. There is so much action, fighting, drugs, misunderstanding, hurts, and finally maybe a cleansing of Pope's soul. I couldn't put this book down. Awesome Story. I could not put this book down for the LIFE of me. The twists of fate that bring Holly and Pope together? This book is a true example of how fate brings people back together that needs to be.

And MAN, the absolute strength of Pope in order to get his club and himself safe after being shot? Nothing short of miraculous. An amazing MC book that makes sure that the name Pope is truly deserving.

I truly hope we do get to see Vivianne in some future books, because damn that women's bravery is beyond belief, especially for having a man covered in dirt and blood in the middle of the woods.

I loved Pope. He was lost in his own head and in the past. He needed to find himself before he took his own life, before something happened to one of his brothers, because of him. Then one night he is at the river to do just that, take care of the problem, but he happens to see a man push a woman off a bridge. He hurries to where it happened and jumps into the river to save her. It turns out to be one of his past victims but she is so high that he's not sure what to do with her. So he takes her back with him to the clubhouse to protect her and windes up keeping her.
A great book in the Wings of Diablo MC series. Rae B. Lake is a great author and gets better with each book.

Pope is a member of the Wings of Diablo MC...he is keeping secrets from his brother and those secrets are eating him up inside. He rescues Holly after she is pushed off a bridge. He brings her back to the clubhouse but soon realizes his actious are responsible for what has happened to Holly....Holly sees him as nothing but her hero. This story is dark and we learn of the things that Pope suffers from in his past. Also by bringing Holly back to the club he has intentionally put a target on their backs. Can he save Holly and protect the MC?

Pope's story is of someone that is in a lot of pain to the point that he wants to end it all. With so many demons and secrets, he has just given up. But after saving Holly from certain death and with the help of his brothers in the club, Pope reveals it all to his brothers. He has a tough road ahead, but with facing his past and with the help of his club, Pope will finally be free from a past that has haunted him for so long. He does find his happiness with Holly, but there is a cliffhanger ending for the club. **I was gifted "Pope" via Booksprout, leaving my review based on my reading.** 5 Stars!

Rae B. Lake is back with Pope's story. Whoa! Well, the Wings of Diablo is one of those MCs where drama and dysfunction go hand in hand. A lot of the dysfunction involves their lives before WoD and trying to endure those consequences while a member of WoD. A fantastic story of Pope and Holly's journey through hell and redemption (well, sort of). You're just going to have to read the book. I highly recommend reading the other books in this series so you'll have background information on the characters and the villains they have to deal with in the MC. Well done, Rae!

Pope completely tore my heart out! His past has him completely undone and trying to make amends for the past is something that can't always be done. Sometimes we just have to find a way to try to put it all behind us and move on as best as we can. But Pope has LOTS of demons to battle, and he can't seem to get a handle on any of them. Then there's Holly. The he*l that she's been through is unbelievable but, she just may be what Pope needs if they can get past the secrets that's being held so close. As always, Pope is another fantastic addition to the WOD.

Sometimes you make a mistake when you're young and slide right by it. Not Pope. His mistake haunts him every day every night more and more often. Holly is a casualty, but maybe just maybe he can save her. He's part of the Wings of Diablo and he's tried to atone for his mistakes although no one in the MC knows it. He's walking a very fine line. This is a really good book about a severely conflicted man who's trying to atone but it could kill him.

Wow what a tormented journey. Pope has demons that have returned to haunt him. He is in the place to stop those demons when he hears a woman cry out and runs to help her. Holly has demons as well and they have a past together. Can these two dark souls help each other heal. Join along in their journey of salvation. It is a bumpy ride qith much in their way but with the help of the other it will get better. Great xtory and great characters.

Holy smokes Pope story had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. Its full of guilt, heartache, drama, surprises and suspense. Pope and Holly's story took me on journey that ripped my heart to shreds, but by the end it was pieced back together as I fought with them. If you are are new to this series I recommend you start at the very beginning with Wire to get a better understanding of the characters and their story.I can guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Pope, ex forger, ex priest, now MC brother trying to overcome the despair created by his past and plagued by the ghost of his young son. He goes out to end his life but instead ends up saving and caring for Holly after she was thrown from a bridge. Holly is high on drugs and mainly out of it, but occasionally lucid. Pope learns his past career is responsible for situation and for that of others. Time to pay the toll and seek redemption.

Oh I love these men and the women that love them. The story follows Pope who is just trying to survive day to day not really living and Holly is just just trying to exist. It was fate that Brought him to her right when she needed him the most. Love the twist. I am enamoured with this series and hope to read more from you in the future. Highly recommend this series!

Pope's book had me sitting on the edge of my seat! His anguish and guilt, the torment he put himself through, the redemption he sought utterly gutted me. His journey inside the pages of this novel was such an all-consuming read and that epilogue? Readers are going to be in shock! I'm excited to see what's next for our bikers!!

Wow. Where to start. This amazing book in an outstanding series had me from minute one. When you see these two people with so much tragedy you want them to find happiness and hope it’s together. Holy does pope ever have one heck of a story! This man has been thru enough in his short lifetime. And then there is Holly, this poor girl has also conquered her own demons and came out the other side. These two I feel found each other right when they both needed saving. What a great read, with some twists I definitely was not expecting.

Pope has a very secret and tragic past that he feels he can’t atone for. His mental state brings some of it out and then Holly’s pushing is the catalyst for the whole story. They really do save each other. It will be interesting to see where the story of the Purged goes and how they will be brought down.

Pope used to work for some evil people in his teenage years and that cost him in one of the worst ways. He is able to save someone and that person has saved him as well. Some characters arise once again. Some people are just pure evil. To be forgiven for our sins is all we can strive for.
