Return to Halfpoint

Rate this book
She's just trying to keep her business afloat.

Tanya Meeker had tried her best to stay away from Halfpoint, Colorado. Ever since her father whisked her away to Halfpoint when she was fifteen, she had resented this place. And the residents of Halfpoint never seemed to have much love for her, either. Nostalgia may have brought Tanya back for her disastrous class reunion, but it was the threat of losing everything that had her staying.

When the wrong contractor shows up to help her renovate her father's cabin, Tanya will be confronted with the past she has tried so hard to forget.

He's got Mr. Fix-it written all over him.

Callister Bleil may be just another Halfpoint good ole boy, but he is her only chance at finishing the renovation on time. Setting aside their differences to get the reno completed in just six weeks, the pair have no idea their time together may also demolish that fine line between love and hate.

But will a twenty-two-year-old secret, and the rumors surrounding it, cost Tanya everything?

Return to Halfpoint is the newest novel associated with the Halfpoint, Colorado series of romances, which can be read and enjoyed in any order.

Celia K Nott grew up in a small town in Colorado where she learned the difference between bear and cougar attacks and how to control a spin-out on icy roads. She is married to her college sweetheart and they recently adopted their first child through international adoption.

Celia writes what she knows best: small mountain towns and quirky characters with adoption/foster-care themes woven throughout. When not writing, Celia is busy entertaining her son and their three dogs, enjoying the beauty and sport of Western Colorado or simply drinking tea and burying herself in a good book.

Each of Celia's series are rated for their heat level, ranging from sweet with heat to sexy. The Inn at Halfpoint series launches in October with her novel: A Suite Christmas. To get a taste of the Halfpoint world, you can read her debut book The Reunion at Halfpoint on Kindle or Kindle Unlimited.

Tanya goes back to town in order to get a house redone, a town that has many rumors floating about her. She needs it sold as quickly as possible so that she doesn’t lose her business to the debt collectors. Callister ends up helping to fix it up within about a month.

It’s a cute story, but seemed exaggerated in some parts. For example, how some people hold grudges against others for 20 years. I’m sure some people still don’t like each other so long after high school, but to continue to say nasty things about them seems a bit much.

An enjoyable, realistic story

The varied characters are believable and interesting. Watching Tanya struggle with memories of her difficult teenage years and her financial challenges won me over. Her relationship with Cal grows naturally, and we see what a good guy he is as they become friends, then lovers. It's beautiful to see her resolve her past issues by making a key decision for her own reasons.
