Another fun adventure with Gamma and Charlie that involved a baking contest and why someone would kill over a five thousand dollar prize. The usual antics regarding Gamma and her nemesis always crack me up, and I love seeing what kind of spy gear gets used in taking down the perp.

Now that I’ve read the first three (yeah I kinda read out of order but that’s just how it was convenient lol), I’m ready and eager for the next book!

This was so funny with all the antics of ex spy and grandma. I was really engaged with the mystery. There were tons of twists and turns. The suspect list was huge. I had a really good time overall.

Book 2 in this series is again a fast paced cozy mystery that glides you through right to the end. From the first page, you just can't put this book down until the end. The town of Gossip is hosting the Tri-state baking competition with $5,000 as the prize. Lauren, who is the chef for Georgina's Gossip Inn wants to enter her Key Lime Pie. Georgina known in her previous life as Gamma and Charlotte known in her previous life as Charlie were spies prior to Gamma buying the Gossip Inn so they could hide in the small town of Gossip away from potential enemies. With Charlie getting a little bored as she does maid duties among other things at the Inn a case falls into her lap. It seems one of the patrons of the inn, the loud mouthed last years winner of the competition hires Charlie to find her missing special recipe book she claims was stolen. This little diversion for Charlie is just what she is looking for. When the main suspect, also a contestant, is found murdered in her house and a note was found, the case of the missing recipe book just became a murder investigation. The author gives us many twists and turns and we get to see Gamma and Charlie's spy techniques in action! What fun. All the while, protecting Lauren since she is due with her second child any day. This second book in a fun series does not disappoint and the characters are great! I can't wait to see what more Charlie and Gamma get into especially with a very hot, and according to Charlie, obnoxious detective with a large ego is on the scene. I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Searching for the Recipe Book . . .

An ex-spy, Charlie is now retired from the agency and is working at Gamma’s inn. The dust still hasn’t settled and Charlie and Gamma are back in the game! The Tri-State Baking Competition is coming up with an alluring $5,000 prize. But a recipe book disappears before the competition starts and Charlie is asked to find it. Unfortunately at the first suspect’s house, she finds a body instead. Brenda Tippett was on the kitchen floor while a slice of key lime pie sat on the counter with a single bite taken out of it. As she walked back outside to the porch to call the police, she spotted several muddy boot prints as if someone tried to avoid the steps and went over the railing instead. With a dry flowerbed, where had the mud come from? Charlie’s investigation now includes a murder along with the missing recipe book.

Detective Aaron Goode arrived and noted Charlie’s track record for finding dead bodies. He proceeded to question her as they bantered back and forth, loosing their sarcasm on each other. Telling her not to leave town, he walked away. At the inn, Gamma added another name to the suspect list. As if summoned by the thought, Glendaree Bijon came out of the inn and was furious that Charlie, who was asked to find her receipt book, had instead found a dead body. She felt that was totally unprofessional. And the following day, Charlie couldn’t find any of her suspects to question. Where did everybody go?

Charlie is running out of time. Can Charlie and Gamma find the killer before someone else is murdered? And where could the missing recipe book be? Grab your book and follow the clues with them! I’m pretty sure Charlie wants to find that killer before Detective Goode does! This awesome series will draw you in and keep you laughing!

another fun Mission Inn book

Lauren seems to have quite an exciting time in this book. Competing in a baking contest with a $5,000 prize, caring for her toddler son, baby number two on the way soon.

Charlie might be a bit bored sometimes if there is no occasional case to break up the monotony of routine chores like dusting, yet she really does seem to have embraced the slower lifestyle that includes friends and family.

Lauren is like a sister to her, and she seems to be very protective as her pregnancy progresses- after all, Lauren does have a husband who is a bit of a dud, one who literally ran and hid from the stresses of her now toddler son.

Can Charlie and Gamma save the day, and keep Lauren well and safe? Will they be able to solve mysteries and hazards as they pop up, and still keep the Inn, the rescue cat operation, and themselves from harm and from too much close scrutiny?

Tasty treats and tangled fun and adventures!

Wonderful Laugh Out Loud Fun Read with Missing Recipe, Murder, and Key Lime Pie!!!

I am having so much fun with this series. While this is the second series to feature this ex-spy, granddaughter and grandmother duo, I have found it has been easy to jump right into this new series and not feel lost at all. The premise seems so off the wall, and I think it's one of the things I love the most about the series. Rosie A. Point knows how to craft fun and lovable characters, no matter what their occupation or backstory might be. Ex-spies, a small-town Texas inn, a cat foster center, werewolf sightings, and a baking competition. It really does seem like these elements were randomly picked out of a hat. But it all works and everything about this mystery is light and fun.

I continue to be in awe of how Rosie A. Point is able to churn these books out so fast while keeping her fans happy and anxious for more. If you are looking for a quick cozy escape then this is the perfect series for you.

It’s time for the Tri-State Baking Competition and outsiders join the competition to win the $5000. Unfortunately, a recipe book goes missing right before the competition begins and a murder takes place. Charlie is asked to find the missing recipe book but she stumbles upon a murder and she decides she is going to investigate with Gamma’s assistance. Join Charlie as she investigates the murder and the missing recipe book.

Charlie and Gamma are a hoot together. Nothing stands in their way when they are determined to solve a case. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. I love the scenario, the interaction between the characters and the mystery of whodunit. I think the story and characters were very well developed and it felt like you were living Gossip.

Rosie does it again! In book 2 of the Gossip Inn series, we go for another ride with Charlotte and Georgina, or should I say Charlie and Gamma!
These two super sleuths are at it again to find out 'who dun it.'

If you're brand new to the series, buckle in, and take my advice and dive into the Mission InnPossible series first! In my opinion anyway. It's a lot of fun to get to know all the characters. You CAN read all the books in any order you want, but there's something much more magical about reading them in order...

Are you still reading this review?! WHYYYY
GO...go...go read these books. Pick any Rosies series and just get in there. You'll thank me later!!

Happy Reading :)

The first book I've read in this series, but easily reads as a standalone. I enjoyed it quite a bit, having ex-spies be the amateur sleuths was new for me and added an interesting element to the story. Lots of great characters, a good plot and lots of suspects- almost too many, it took me a bit to figure out who was who at first.

This is not the first book I've read by Point, but it is the first full length one, normally she writes shorter cozy mysteries. She didn't disappoint with this one and I look forward to seeing more full length books by her in this series. I received this book through Booksprout and chose to review it.

I've read several books written by Rosie A. Point; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the second book in A Gossip Cozy Mystery Series; it is a stand-alone book. Charlie is an ex-spy and is now the gossip fixer; she is hired to find the missing recipe book before the upcoming Tri-State Baking Competition. Thinking it will be super easy she begins to investigate suspects but ends up finding a dead body; poisoned by key lime pie, now her and her grandmother must find out who the murderer is before they strike again.

Gamma and Charlie do get a little bored at the Inn, but when a mystery and a murder happen, they are all set to go. The skills they have learned over the years help when dealing with the local characters and some quirky attitudes. The situations will make you laugh as they search for clues and talk to suspects. The storyline is well written with lots of surprises, drama, and shenanigans. Loved the story and the two main ones can not be beat. Great ending.

Ex spy Charlotte Mission thought she would be living a boring life as Inn maid Charlotte Smith. But her reputation as the fixer precedes her and she is hired to find out who stole an inn guest's recipe book. When the primary suspect is found murdered and then her own client, she realizes life is not as quiet as she thought it would be. But she wouldn't have it any other way.

Rosie a. Point does it again, she knows how to write a story that pulls you in so far that your crying out in fear when they find a body or their are creeping around in places their not supposed to be. Tri-state baking competition and a 5,000 dollar prize and a week before the content last year's winners recipe book gets stolen and while looking for the book they stumble across a dead body. I received this book as an Arc for an unbiased and honest review.

Great mystery. There is a baking competition coming up. People are coming into town to compete. A recipe book is stolen, a werewolf is spotted and heard by several howling, a body is found murdered. Are all these incidents related? Who would murder for a recipe book, if that's the reason? It is up to Charlie to solve all of this with the help of Gamma. Gamma always has the coolest gadgets to help with the cases. You'll enjoy this lighthearted mystery.

Very, Very Good

This second book of the additional series revolving around the Gossip Inn in Gossip, Texas was so good that I couldn't put it down today until I had finished it! If anyone reading this review has read the original series called Mission Inn-Possible, you'll want to get this series as well. I was astonished that book #1 had only a couple of mistakes and this one had just a few and they were toward the end. Happy Reading!!

Charlie is hired to find a recipe book that was stolen from the winner of last year's Tri-State Baking Competition. Easy enough right? Wrong! This isn't a quick find and close case when Charlie comes across another dead body in her pursuit of the recipe book. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I love this series! Two former spies, a granddaughter and grandmother, working together to run a small town inn in Texas. What could be more peaceful. Well…not this pair! It’s so fun to see what these two get into! If you like small towns, gossip, family and friends caring for each other, spy stuff and kittens, then you’ll love this series!

Nobody writes a cozy like Point does. I adore this relatively new series. Always well-written, well-paced, likable and complex characters, plus a great mystery. Every time I think it can’t get better, Point proves us wrong. Can’t wait for the next book!

Charlie is out of the spy business and working as a maid in her grandma's inn. But murders and mysteries keep her busy. If only she could fit into this small town life.

I loved the Mission Inn Possible series, and was sad when the series ended. But this series picked up right where the other left off. I am so glad. It is funny and entertaining. I look forward to reading the next one!

Really enjoying this spinoff series. Charile & Gamms are the best characters. Charlie is still finding her way now that she does not have to hide from her ex. She takes on the case of a missing cookbook & ends up in the middle of a big mess. With her Grandmother to help, can she solve it in time? Pick up a copy to fins out. I look forward to seeing what happens in the next book.

Can a missing recipe book be an incentive to murder? Is winning the baking competition another incentive? I loved the hilarity and originality of the book and its well woven plot which kept me reading right to the end
