GENERATION Z is called and equipped to rise above the global storm we are experiencing and initiate the greatest awakening our world has ever seen. They are ready. They are willing. This new generation, born between 1997 and 2012, has never witnessed a calm sea. Social harmony, economic stability, physical tranquility, and domestic peace have all been very distant during this period. While those from earlier generations are often disturbed by it all, Generation Z considers these storms a part of their existence. They are survivors, and they are being equipped by God for maximum kingdom impact during a time when the world needs them the most. Generation Born for the Storm is written as a book of hope for this new generation. It examines the environment surrounding Gen Z and tries to understand who they are. It also looks at the unique qualities God is forming in Gen Z believers. The book inspirationally describes qualities already emerging and predicts qualities that will emerge as Gen Zers take their place of leadership in the world. Each chapter focuses on a person or persons from the Bible whose names begin with “Z” and who embody qualities God is forming in this new generation. This is not an exhaustive volume on Gen Z. It is simply a snapshot in time connected to the timeless truths of Scripture that will help us reflect upon, respond to, and empower the most important generation to ever live. Their potential is beyond description. Gen Z will take the negative circumstances they have been given and, by God’s grace, turn them into positives. Generation Z is ready. God is equipping. The Holy Spirit is moving. The world is waiting. The winds are blowing, and the waves are roaring. Spiritual history is going to be made because Generation Z is born for the storm.

Really enjoyed this book for the most part! We read this as staff development since we work directly with Gen Z college students. Most of the chapters were spot on with things that were happening in the lives of our GenZ students and you could really tell how God used the author's words in our context. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is that the final 2 chapters of the book, especially chapter 7, didn't have the same connections to GenZ as the other chapters. The connections between the Bible characters and the topic of the chapter made alot less sense in the finals chapters than the rest of the book. Other than that, this was a great book, and I definitely recommend reading it if you work with GenZ, especially in a Christian context!

Being a GenZer myself I find this book very encouraging and uplifting. It makes me glad to know there are people who do actually see the potential of my generation. It also gives me hope too.

Even though I myself have never participated in nor portrayed it's commonly known negative attributes, in a world with such negativity towards GenZ and the undeniable evidence of the lack of God in my generation, it makes it easy for me to feel a little hopeless sometimes and even a little bit ashamed to be apart of this generation, but this book changes that trajectory of which I am most grateful.

I believe in my generation. I believe we can change the world and with God, for the best, we will.

My hope is that for those who may have doubts about GenZ, old and young alike, will read this book and hopefully it will change their perspective.

Generation Z

As an avid reader loving to select a book based on many things, the title, author, and content, I have never read a book that as I finished reading it from the words on the pages tears began to fall. President Billy Wilson's heart and love for Generation are moving and powerful. He took the alphabet letter "Z" and profoundly captured some phenomenal biblical characters. Pick up this book! It will bless your whole soul.
