Elijah Roe has been through h*ll. He's walked in fire his entire life, from the moment his drugged up mom had him, to the moment the war began. And then things only got worse. But Eli was nothing if not a fighter. He fought for every second of peace and every second of happiness he ever had, then he turned right around and gave it all to his little sister. He did things no ordinary man could live with, and he did them to protect his family, he did them to survive. And Cass was everything to him... up until the moment his eyes rolled back in his head and all the memories in his brain were erased. He woke up fresh as a baby, with no awful memories to weigh him down. For the first time in his entire life, Eli is truly free. He doesn't want to know why he's covered in secret code tattoos, and he doesn't want to remember the truth of his past. All he wants to do is get this sassy smart redheaded chick to notice him, and maybe tease his sister about when she's going to make him an uncle. Because something inside of him knows he's better off as he is now. Innocent. So the nights he wakes up soaked in sweat? He ignores them. The persistent headaches? The sickening twist in his gut when he smells something burning? Nope. Not gonna go there. And he definitely isn't going to California. Not even if Commander Linfield orders Eli to go. Things are fine just as they are.But then that gorgeous redhead does something really stupid... and it changes everything for Eli. Shelby. She changes everything.
Absolutely wonderful conclusion to an epic series. Loved Eli and Shelby’s love story. And good to have answer for all my questions. The story moves well. Great reveal had me very satisfied. I will miss Liam, Hannah and Cole, they were quite the relationship!
I am so much in love with this series, didn't want it to end but I'm glad it did.You totally closed it out nice and neat not letting the characters hang you in suspense. I would recommend this series to anyone who loves to read. I am looking forward to your next series hoping its as good as this one. Please keep writing you are truly an awesome writer. Thank you, thank you and once again THANK YOU!!!!!
I enjoyed this final book in the series, but must confess that I found the final bit - the part in California and the aftermath- to be rather rushed. It was not as emotionally satisfying as some of the earlier books, which was surprising, given that it was the end of a series. Still, worth the read.
Heart breaking then heart mending and plenty of promise all around Finding Forever (Outlasting After Book 6) by LK Magill is wonderfully well written with beautifully well developed characters, setting and plot. Plenty of heart stopping moments throughout in action and steam creating a true page turner. I knew Eli was going to pull my heartstrings to the point of breaking and LK Magill did not disappoint. Eli and Shelby’s story grabbed those heartstrings, pulled them tight to breaking. Their ebb and flow has all the feels plus the pull of attraction that builds and builds adding tension to their chemical mix until it has nowhere to go but to combust. The plot has also been building for a grand finale and Finding Forever delivers. Eli gets his answers, despite his fears and Shelby is there every step of the way. There’s an exciting twist in this series’ resolution that promises much joy and happiness. Least of which is Eli and Shelby’s HEA. I loved this whole series and especially enjoyed the positive spin on this post apocalyptic saga. I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.
I really liked these books. I think it would make a great mini series on tv. It has romance, action, futuristic and old West stories, so much going on you can't wait to turn the page. Very little graphic sex scenes who h I appreciate iate. It doesn't need it. This is well written and I cant wait to read more of her books.
Post-apocalyptic romance is my new favorite genre. This author is new to me, but the entire series is really well-written and holds your attention. Strong women, good character development and world-building, and super-sexy alpha males with hearts of gold. What’s not to like? I couldn’t put it down! I will definitely be checking out this authors other work.
Just finished the complete set of 6 books. I really enjoyed the stories revolving around all the couples and the story of survival. What I didn't like was that every, and I mean every! thought any of the women had, involved nibbling on their bottom lip. It was like no one had their own sexy thing, just nibble, nibble, nibble. Became quite boring.
Loved the series, always hard to see a good one end! 80% build up, 20% reveal - including the epilogue so would have liked to see more of a 60/40 split but… it was still a great end to the story arch!
This is the end of the series. We follow Eli and Shelby this time as they work on recovering his memories. I do enjoy reading the plot of the book as we tie up all loose ends in this post-apocalyptic world. I did enjoy more of the plot rather than the romance though. 4.5 stars
