This book had both the cons and pros of a textbook. Pros being that 1) it's clearly written, understandable and makes use of pictures, infoboxes and graphs 2) It focuses on main topics and in doing so gives a good general overview. Cons being that; 1) it doesn't go very deep into any topic and might not provide new information to someone who is even slightly advanced 2) it gives a lot of general overview without making its own interesting arguments or trying to awnser a well defined scientific question etc.
