Aurora Rose Reynolds Until series are some of my all-time favourite books. So, I always have to check out the new releases in the Happily Ever Alpha series. When I read the blurb for this one, I couldn't wait to get my grabby hands on it.

Sadly it just didn't work for me. I didn't like Guin and I didn't really connect to King either. I really should have stopped reading around the 20% mark but I couldn't. And it didn't really get any better for me.

Oh well, guess I can only hope my next read works better for me.

Okay let me just say, when I started the book, I freaking loved Guin. I though she was fun and sexy and sassy and just an all around good time chick. But the more I read the more I kind of faded a bit.

I felt she was so judgemental towards Kingston. She didn’t know him, just heard rumors about him. And then when she had to be his alibi… Her plan to get back at him after she lost her job and her place to live was just ridiculous. Kingston tried everything to help her out, offered her a place to stay and gave her some hot orgasms to boot… What more did she want, lol

This book was an okay read. I loved the whole suspense thing with Kingston and what he was trying to do for his family. But Guin’s part just annoyed me a bit. Still a good read all in all. I want to read Thor’s story though 😊

Kingston Black has a reputation and it isn’t necessarily a good one. Guin is a kindergarten teacher, well until she mets King and her life is changed. They become roommates and well things from there kind of escalate.

Guin and King had an instant connection the moment they met. They shared a perfect night together. Neither of them could stop thinking about it and when they become roommates their chemistry is still simmering beneath the surface and they can only deny that attraction for so long. There are some steamy moments between the two of them throughout the story. The pranks Guin plays on King were hilarious and he took them pretty well. I loved the bond Guin had with King’s daughters, Cam and Charlie. It was fun to see her interact with them and just be there for the girls and the feeling was mutual for them when it came to Guin.

There is a little bit of suspense when it comes to King and his past. He is still somewhat dealing with everything but as he slowly does and it only helps his relationship with Guin grow.

If you’re looking for a secret baby, single dad, roommates to lovers romance this is one to check out.

4 Star Review Until Kingston by Shanna Swenson
Shanna Swenson is a new author to me. Until Kingston is based in Aurora Rose Reynolds' Happily Ever Alpha World. I was hooked on the story that Ms. Swenson wove about Kingston Black and Guineve Watson, and really liked them both individually and as a couple. The connection between them is immediate and the fact that Kingston is a single dad to two little girls just added to my enjoyment.
I spent a lot of this book smiling and at times I felt as if I was on a bit of a roller coaster of a read. There was suspense, heat and witty banter which made for an entertaining read. The chemistry between Kingston and Guin was intense and you could feel it building whilst reading.
This book brought out a myriad of emotions and there were times when I was torn between laughing and crying. It was good to see some familiar faces make an appearance. I liked how determined Kingston was to put things to right. Guin is feisty and sassy and is focused on getting on with life.
As Kingston comes to terms with his past, the relationship that developed between Guin and Kingston’s children was heart warming to watch develop.
All in all this was a well written story with characters whose story you cannot help but become invested in.

This was an addition to ARR’s world that felt like a distinctly different vibe. I enjoyed Kingston and his love for his children, as well as the secrets he grudgingly held while trying to free himself of the mess his ex caused. And boy, what a mess it was! He also managed to keep his cool amid the (one-sided) prank war Guin perpetrated upon him. I mean, the hair prank was so ill-timed, yet funny, and he handled it with such class! I especially enjoyed his brother and catching up with Gareth and December. Guin was my only sticking point. She was too old to act so immaturely, she was petty, and a tad judgmental of others AND herself. She clearly needed some time to find herself and how she fit into Kingston’s world, and he was more than happy to give her that safe time and space to do it.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read that definitely brought the emotions. Cam’s heartbreak and behavior made me want to cry. Kingston’s determination to make everything right was admirable. And his reaction to some surprise news was exactly what Guin needed. If you want more of Gareth and December, along with some new faces, this read is definitely up your alley!

Nothing like a one night stand to screw up your whole life.

Guinevere is a kindergarten teacher in her small Tennessee town, but she has a wild/feisty side when she drinks. At a bar one night, she meets bad boy biker Kingston. And let's just say that they have a HOT and WILD night together. When Kingston is accused of murder and Guinevere is his abili, her world falls apart. She is fired from her job and loses her apartment. Kingston offers to let her stay at his place until she can get back on her feet. How can they not give into their attraction again now that they are staying underneath the same roof?

I LOVED THIS BOOK!! Guinevere was hilarious and the pranks that she pulled on Kingston for revenge were amazing. I also loved how she tried to deny her attraction to him for so long. She did not give in until like 60% into the book. Good job girl!

I also really enjoyed Kingston. Everyone thinks he is this big and bad biker but that is the furthest thing from the truth. All he wants is to be with his daughters and be the best possible dad he could be. He was super patient with Guin and lets her go at the pace she needed to go at. And when she found out she was pregnant, that sealed the deal for him.

The two of them can not deny the attraction between them. They got to know one another though before they gave into it again. The relationship developed from friends to lovers. And watching Guin with his daughters was beautiful. They all grew together as a family before anything else.

This was a great read and I will definitely be reading more of Shanna Swenson's books!

OMG!!! What a BOOM!!! This story was AMAZING!!!

Once I started reading I couldn't stop I was so engrossed in this story and the characters. There is not one page I didn't love.

King and Guin had such a fantastic chemistry, the sensual tension between these two was off the charts hot but I also love the sweet moments they shared with each other.

When Guin met King, her world turn upside down. She love/hated him but with all King's tough exterior he was a big caring and protective teddy bear. I love how he adored his daughters and almost sacrifice his own happiness in order to protect the ones he love.

The possessive side of King will have you melt for him and the banter between him and Guin will make you laugh so hard. The action and suspense factor are just the cherry on top.

Definitely a must read!

4.5 Stars for Until Kingston (Happily Ever Alpha World)
This is a new author to me but that is going to change because after reading this entertaining story I'm left wondering why she hasn’t crossed my radar before now. This book was always going to be on my radar because I love single dad romances and I love the Happily Ever Alpha World created by Aurora Rose Reynolds. This is Guineve Watson and Kingston Black’s story and boy do they take you on an entertaining, emotional journey. Guin is sassy, fun and focused on getting on with life while Kingston needs to come to terms with his past before moving on with the future and once you add in his adorable little girls you get a read that has you smiling one moment and crying the next. This is a beautifully written journey featuring characters you can’t help loving, the banter is witty, the chemistry is sizzling and add in some familiar faces you get the perfect read. Looking forward to reading more from the very talented Shanna Swenson.

Until Kingston gives us a BOOM so strong that it will have the doors and windows shaking. King and Guin have a connection and chemistry that is off the charts. Their story has intense heat and the sexual tension between these two crackles around you. A story that has secrets, revenge, retribution, romance and just enough angst to have you gripped to each and every word. The witty banter between King and his Little Bit along with the side characters gives you even more to love about this story. An overall entertaining addition to the Happily Ever Alpha series.

I was hooked from the start! Guin and Kingston have such amazing chemistry! Guin is sweet and sassy. Kingston is stubborn, tough, and so sexy! These two together were like a ticking timebomb.

Full of passion, suspense, steam, and humor. King and Guin's story is everything you could want wrapped up in one beautiful story! Hold onto your seats. King and Guin will take you on one heck of a ride!

Until Kingston by Shanna Swenson is the story of Guinevere 'Guin' Watson and Kingston Black. This book is part of the Happily Ever Alpha World Series but this can be read as a standalone book if you wish to do so. Guinevere was the ultimate good girl who was a school teacher who gave in the her desire for Kingston. Then there came a fall out when she had to be his alibi for a crime which tell spins her to loosing her job and her place to live. Kingston has felt the 'boom' when he meets Guinevere so he of course takes her in to live with him and his daughters. But she set to get revenge on him with some pranks to teach him a lesson. Loved this book and this is the best series ever!

I’m such a big fan of the “boom”! Like that is literally my all time favorite trope! I thoroughly enjoyed reading King and Guin’s story. It was even better getting bits and pieces of Thor and Jolie’s story throughout because now I’m even more excited about getting their story! So good!

I really enjoyed this book. We got to see some of our old favourite characters and meet new ones. I couldn't put book down once started.

I loved Kingston and Guineve together, they may of met in a pub. But circumstances made that they were stuck in same house. I loved the pranks but also the feelings building.

I can't wait for more.

COMBUSTABLE HEAT

What happens when a badass biker and kindergarten teacher get together? Mind blowing, earth shattering sex that leaves them hungry for more.
One night of indiscretion shouldn't affect Guinevere Watson's life, nevermind her work or home.
But, when that night includes a badass named Kingston Black, well, chances are it won't end up well.
Guin looses her  job, her home and is thinking she might have to go back home. That's  when King steps in and offers her a place to live, in his home with his two daughters and an in and out ex-mother-in-law.
This story has laughs, steamy sex scenes, and great family moments.
I highly recommend this story to anyone that loves HEA's.

It was an enjoyable read. I didn’t get the BOOM vibes on this one. Guin was a hard character for me to enjoy I just couldn’t find her to my liking.... she seemed very judgmental and immature. This man helps her and all she does is put full blame on king. Apparently she knows what liquor does to her it’s not a new reaction but yet HER CHOICES lead to her mishaps and she blames him and plans jokes/retaliation on King dumb! I just wanted king to kick her out already lol.

I've read many a novel from Shanna Swenson, and she always finds a way to tell unique love stories with blends of relatable characters, sweet moments balancing dark conflicts, with plenty of spice. In this new novel, which is part of an anthology series, everything she does best is definitely at play.

Guin, a mild-mannered teacher (when sober), goes for a girls' night to the bar. She meets Kingston, a heavily tattooed biker who's beyond gorgeous and just as into her. Fueled by alcohol, lust, and ignoring the advice of her friends (one of whom is married to King's cousin), Guin happily gives into hedonism and has one hell of a wild night with King.

Unfortunately, the next day reality crashes hard. Not only is Guin mortified while recalling what she did, waking up next to this total stranger who's more than a little intimidating (even though he's trying to be gracious lol), but also the plot thickens fast. King's the head of a motorcycle club, and there's been a murder--Guin, lucky girl, becomes his alibi. And it's a small town, so predictably word gets around about her having a fling with the town bad boy so she loses her job and her apartment. King, who discovers all this because Guin is his daughter's teacher, feels horrible so he offers her a place to stay...with him, his two daughters, and the fireworks really begin!

This story's got plenty for everyone. Guin is adorable, mischievous, spunky, and determined not to fall for this guy who ruined her life. King's proud, carrying a wealth of secrets and burdens, and only wanting a normal life for his kids, but he can't help but fall for Guin's charms--even when she's delivering one of many hilarious pranks on him.

Now, I don't think it's a spoiler to say yes this is an HEA (as it's billed as such), but don't be fooled into thinking this is some easy love story. Guin and King go through a ton of drama and personal growth, neither willing to give up their hearts easily. If you love enemies-to-lovers, bad boys with a heart of gold, and sassy female leads, then this is the book for you!

This is my first time reading this author and I enjoyed her writing style. In this book we meet 37 year old single dad of two daughters, Kingston Black. I was excited to read his story because he is the cousin to Gareth and Selma Black and we had met him in other books.

One night he meets 24 year old school teacher, Guinivere at a bar and they have a one night stand. The next day he is taken to the police station for questioning and guess who is his alibi? Yep Guin but she is afraid if anyone finds out she could be fired.

Kingston has two daughters, Camryn who is 15 and Charlie, age 5. Aside from being a biker and a dad, he is also a tattoo artist and also a rocker.

This story was HOT. Tons and tons of hot scenes so if you read this book make sure you like reading it. There is a story as well but Kingston is a very hot, tatted biker who is a bit wild and untamed. Its also an enemies to lovers storyline with Kingston wanting Guin but her hating him after he trashes her life. And when she moves in as his roomie, well I laughed so hard at some of the pranks she pulls on him.

Also note this book ties into Until Thor as Jolie is friends with Guin and December and her story begins in this book too and carries into Until Thor. Thor is also Kingston's little brother.

Kingston is an awesome guy but he has the worst luck and a terrible reputation. But he is an absolute sweetheart and the best dad to his kids. He was a rough around the edges guy but with a heart of gold.

Guin, is the daughter of a preacher and she hates King for destroying her life but she also cannot resist King. I loved seeing how awesome she was with King's kids. She is a total sweetheart with a secret wild side.

I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Kingston Black is just trying to keep his life in together after the s@!t storm that his ex-wife left him and his daughter in. The problem is that he is still involved and people have labeled him as something other than what he truly is, more trouble than it is worth. So, after meeting the woman of his dreams in a bar one night, he knows that he will do what is necessary to keep her. It is unfortunate that things from his past are affecting her life, but he is going to use that to his advantage.

Guinevere Watson loves her job as a kindergarten teacher. After a one-night stand with the handsome bad-boy Kingston, her job and home are taken away. What is a girl to do with all of this extra time on her hands? Well, get revenge on the reason why all these things are happening! What she isn’t prepared for is that there is way more to this bad-boy than she knew and the more she learns, the more she falls for him.

I love Aurora Rose Reynolds Happily Ever Alpha World. It is wonderful to get stories from the side characters that we meet in the original series and get another check in with those main characters along the way. I love Kingston but Guin drove me crazy. She needs to grow up…now. How can she blame the decisions that she made on another person like that? If you know that you lose control when you drink and that you can lose your job as a result…then WHY would you drink?! Then to go and blame Kingston for her decisions? And decide to play petty tricks on him? Seriously? Ugh.

This story had everything in it that I love…seriously, it checked all of my boxes, except for Guin. Her decisions were too much for me to handle, unfortunately.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Guinevere "Guin" Watson and Kingston "King" Black. Guin is out with her girlfriends December and Jolie when she spots a very yummy man. Since she has been drinking well everything is on the table at that point. When both women try and talk her out of it she doesn't listen. Since King is December's husband's cousin you think what she says would have mattered but in her drunken state nothing does. One night with King is all it takes for everything to go to hell for Guin. She looses her job and her condo because of the conservative morals of the people she both works for and rents from. When she goes off of King he can't help but feel bad and offer her a place to live. King is fighting demons on what seems like all fronts the one bright spot was that night with Guin and boy does he want more. When she comes at him like a pixie spitting fire he knows something is up and it isn't looking for another round. He knows he has the space at his place so he offers her a room. He is hoping it would be his but he will take what he can get. Can these two find that HEA or will the war of the house be the end of them both?

This is an amazing story by this author. These characters draw you in and won't let go even when the story ends. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Thanks to the author Shanna Swenson for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Kingston Black has a reputation, and people make judgements on him for that, whether it’s based on truth or not. Guinevere is a kindergarten teacher who likes to let loose a little when she’s out with her girlfriends, a bit different from teaching small children all day. She who gets tangled up with Kingston (in more ways than one!) and that is where this book begins!

This books is equal parts sexy and sweet and I really enjoyed reading it. The characters had depth, and I genuinely connected with both Guinevere and Kingston, and understood their actions. The author gave us a great insight into each of their pasts, turning interesting people who were more minor characters into just a fleshed out people as the main ones!

The plot was engaging and I was on the edge of my seat at some of the more tense parts! Won’t give anything away, but I loved that this book had a really good plot on top of the romance element, which of course was amazing ☺️

Holy smokes some of those sexier scenes were hot! 🔥 just what I needed sitting here with the rain pouring down outside! The bad boy element, along with single father, motorcycles 🏍 , musician 👨‍🎤 and....well let’s just say I really liked Kingston! He was a great dad, really patient (especially with his teenage girl 😂) and Guinevere added into that was just *chef’s kiss*

First I want to say that Swenson is a masterful storyteller, I have yet to read one of her books that hasn't left me with a book hangover of massive proportions. She builds rich worlds filled with three dimensional believable and relatable characters in a way that is rare and precious.

Until Kingston is no exception. Guinevere is sweet and sassy, and full of life, and you can't help but empathize with her throughout the book. She's got a wild streak that equals her sweet southern charm in a balance that keeps readers on the edge of their seats as to what she's going to do next. Kingston is an enigma. He's the rough and tumble biker on the outside, with a soft gooey center that is a romance reader's wet dream. He's a great father, despite being gone a great deal of the time, making sure that ends meet for his two little girls (okay not so little, one is a teenager filled with all the anger and insecurities of a fifteen year old girl being raised by a single dad). Together Guin and King are full of passion, steam and angst, the perfect combination. And let's not forget about the pranks. I wont say anymore, you'll have to read to find out!

This book is a must for any romance lover's TBR, and don't delay, you don't know how much you need this book until you crack the first page.

When I started reading Until Kingston it took me a while to get into it, because I just felt that it wasn't pulling me but around a third of the way into the book I got interested in it and was able to finish it very quickly.
Kindergarden teacher Guinevere Winston is having a rough day... After a girls night out with too much booze she hooks up with single dad Kingston Black, and that was where it went down hill fast. Kingston is part of the local motorcycle club and he doesn't have a good reputation, in fact people in town think he killed his ex-wife. So when she and their night together is his alibi for a local murder the entire town quickly finds out about the entire affair. That knowledge leads to her losing her job as a teacher and without a job she can't afford her house.
When Kingston hooked up with Guin he didn't intend for her to be his alibi or for her to lose her job, so when he finds out that she loses her job and home he offers for her to live at his house and be a housekeeper and cook. With as many jobs as he has King needs all the help he can get around the house and with his two daughters, even if that help is determined to make his life a living nightmare. Can Guin let go of her hatred towards the man who ruined her life?

Shanna Swenson is a new to me author, and man did I love her writing style which got me from the jump only to let me go when I had no more pages to experience. Guin was living her best life, until the night she hooked up with a sexy biker/musician named Kingston. It was all fun & games in the sheets until she's an alibi for a murder charge so she lost her job & her apartment, and it seems certain that she's pissed off about it LOL! She's determined to get revenge, but it doesn't take long before she sees a different side of him as an amazing single father when she becomes his roommate. The pranks that were pulled had me laughing so hard because I'm just that type of girl who loves a good prank. It only gets more complicated when they learn that a party favor came along for the ride, and while Guin is trying to safeguard her heart, Kingston is all in. However, he does have a past that won't stay in the past so will it be his downfall with her?! In order to see how it all pans out, you'll have to hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Until Kingston by Shanna Swenson is an addition in Aurora Rose Reynolds' Happily Ever Alpha World. This is Guinevere (Guin) Watson and Kingston (King)Black's story. Guin is BFFS with December and Jolie. King is December's husband cousin. So they are connected through December and Gareth. Their 1st meeting in a bar was electric. Neither knew who the other really was - she was his child's teacher and he was a parent of one of the children in her room in the school. It was hot, forbidden, INTENSE and the BOOM 💥 happened. What happened afterwards was really great reading. The plot flows seamlessly, Guin and King have this immediate connection between them that flairs hot . The chemistry is raw and intense. King's daughters are another layer to the story and another side to King as well as Guin. There's some angst that is well written pertaining to his children. Guin and King's relationship wasn't rushed into and by the ending, it's just a awesome story. Really liked how everything went. Great characters and fantastic book by a new author.

Until Kingston
(Happily Ever Alpha World)
Written by: Shanna Swenson

This was a fun book to read. The characters had me smiling and laughing a lot of the time.

Guinevere Watson by day was a great kindergarten teacher and sometime by night she was a good time party girl. The night she met Kingston Black she was in party girl mode. Kingston Black looked like a biker and sometimes acted like a biker but his main job in life was to be the best single dad he could be to his two girls.

These two were like fire, hot and steamy but they were also like ice, especially Guin. This woman put herself into situations and in Kingston’s case she put a lot of blame for her problems onto him. It was that part of her character that set me 100% in Kingston’s court.

They both had trouble containing their attraction to each other and when they did come together is was like fireworks going off. There was heat, there was steam there were moans and more.

Kingston has two daughters and they rule his heart, he would do anything for them. He also knew they were still getting over how their mother walked out on them and how it affected them. Working at several jobs meant that sometimes he didn’t see as much of them as he would like.

I also enjoyed watching the interaction between Guin, Kingston and their friends and family.

Pages flipped by and there were several stories intertwined all going hand and hand with Guin and Kingston. There was lots of action, lots of laughs and lots of family time. This was my first introduction to Shanna Swenson’s writing and I found this an easy story to read.

Oh my gosh....what a book!!! Love, laughter, action, steam, HEA and an epilogue!!! I can’t get over how much I love King and Guin!!!

Guinevere is a kindergarten teacher that spends one night with a sexy biker. She never expected that one night to completely destroy her life. After losing her job and home, she takes Mr. Biker up on his offer to stay with him...hoping to exact revenge on him.

Kingston is a man of many talents, biker, tattoo artist, father, musician and secret DEA informant. When his interest is piqued by the little firecracker that is Guin, he never expected the chemistry and intensity she would bring to his life.

I laughed, I worried, I enjoyed each and every steamy love scene but most of all I loved them together. It comes across so clearly how much love there is between all the characters and the interactions made me want to be friends with these people.

I was gifted a copy of this title and am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
