If you like strong, independent women, then you will love Genevieve. She is a great singer that gets recognized by Cayden or Cash as some call him who is a rich, playboy producer. I loved that he met his match with Genevieve. She was well away of his reputation and knew just how to handle him. It was interesting watching the two get to know each other while pretending to be in love. He really needs her to help his reputation. Don’t even get me started on his awful ex who he still has to do a few reality episodes with. He has so much baggage that Genevieve is willing to help him get through. I enjoyed the book and encourage you to read it. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

Cash was an absolute brat from the onset of this book.
But as you get to know him, you understand so much about him.
He's got history that makes you angry.
He's done things that make you wanna wring his neck off.
But seeing how he's trying to redeem himself, it's beautiful.
You start rooting for him to grow up and man up.
And as you read this book, you go from feeling grumpy to extremely happy.
Great book in this cool series.
But as you get to know him, you understand so much about him.

The relationship of a parent and child is critical and can be the most important force when shaping a child into an adult. When Genevieve Green—Genni—a beautiful singer/composer with fire-red hair and blue eyes, relocated from her childhood home in Indiana to Texas, she left never really feeling that it was home after her dad died. I had a hard time liking this story with the h portrayed as a tease and the H portrayed as a sleeze! Genevieve (Geni) is a singer in a band with aspirations of musical stardom. Taking the stage at the nightclub, Legende, the band puts on a show that draws the immediate interest of Cash Coltrane, the hottest, most popular music producer in the world. He immediately recognizes her talent, but that's secondary to what he wants to do to her. Geni is a sweet and beautiful young lady who has been around the music scene long enough to know that there's a certain, ungainly reputation surrounding this man. Every other word out of his mouth describes how he looks at every woman and fantasizes what he wants to do with every woman. He's beyond a horndog, and makes no apologies for it. Geni is on to his schemes and rejects his over the top advances. For the first half of the book, they're in a contest to see who can break the other down. Actually, Geni is very clear that she will only kiss until he proves that he's taking her seriously and she needs to feel comfortable around him. Cash agrees, but I don't believe him. He tries to break down her walls every time he turns around. They became the very definition of tease and sleeze! Along with the ugly behavior, Cash is developing more of a heart, but he's still a womanizing man. His upbringing may have sent him in a downward spiral, but he didn't fight to break free of the hurt and anger. He grew up without a father and resented the fact that he wasn't around. BUT, he breaks up with a girlfriend because she won't get an abortion! He has become his father. I have to admit that Geni works her magic on him and the man that he becomes is a wonderful boyfriend, but it takes forever to get there. It's well-written and the characters are multi-layered, but the underlying issue of a manwhore who takes an entire book to change his evil ways costs a couple of stars.

For five million dollars and a short-term marriage to him, she will have to agree to appear on a reality show with him and be his loving wife. When the dust settles, she will get a recording contract and the marriage will be ended. Oh, he also gets to sleep with whomever he wants (so how does that make him a “good guy”?).
When Cayden “surprisingly” can’t keep his hands to himself, Genevieve falls for the handsome playboy and he becomes her “first”. When the media finds out about the deal that Cayden set up with his so-called wife, will they just end the charade? Or will Genevieve tell him her own little secret?
For much of the book, I was the grumpy one, not liking Cayden very much. It took an innocent, naïve girl to show him what is important in life. Will he learn a lesson? Or continue on with his usual behavior?

This is the story of Genevieve and Cayden (Cash). He is a successful producer that have a really bad reputation as a playboy, womanizer that used women only for pleasure and disposable objects. He needs a good and pure woman to clean his image. He met Genevieve, a new singer and decided that she was the perfect woman to clean his image. He had a twisted life that made him a devil. He had a nine years old son that never met. No relationship with his mom and dad and everything the press said is true. The only thing is that Genevieve is not the normal type of woman he used to date. Which her natural beauty and raw talent she made him fall in love and taught him how to love. I loved Genevieve, she was determined and strong and never changed her beliefs and roots. She was a keeper and came to Cayden’s life for good. Excellent plot and characters. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed Grumpalicious. The story is fun and, for once, the romance doesn't just last a few days but develops over a realistic minimum amount of time. It's actually refreshing to read that getting married in a month doesn't sound good! I also liked that the story development doesn't need to involve some phantom villain, man or girl, acting unrealistically. I especially like Genevieve who is fresh, witty, brave and true to herself. Cayden (the male counterpart) is not as well characterized: he is less "rounded". A little too cliche. I liked the fact that the characters' doubts are real, not fanciful and/or obsessive. I also like how this novel is written: there's a fair amount of description and thought in the book, so that reading isn't too compulsive (not like watching a tennis match) and, at the same time, you're not tempted to skip description or forced to get bored by repetition.

There is Cash who is a self centered a-hole that knows he has what everyone wants, a piece of his life. He is in need of a serious image makeover and decides that Ginnie is the perfect person to help him. She is a fresh face from Houston. She wants a to sing and has a wonderful voice. He manipulates her left and right though she realizes most of it and still has her eye on the prize. When her career takes off over night, and she learns of other issues in her life the one guy she wants in her corner is Cash, though he is not available. Will they be able to work it out? Will Cash figure out what is important in life before it is too late? This was a good read with a storyline that keeps you reading to the end.

June 8, 2021Loved the book. The characters have evolved very nicely inthis book.What can I tell you about grumpalicious other than it was... sooooo amazing!. I think this book will definitely touch so many people in so many levels as there are loads of topics which people can relate to, and so much more, it will melt your heart and will stay with you even after finishing the book. Author Miya Faye has really used this story to show love is possible for everyone. love yourself, accept who you are, in accepting this you will discover happiness is there withing your grasp and everyone else around you will not be the makers or breakers of your misfortunes or your success, they will only enhance what you already have. One of my favourite books to date. 5 BIG BRIGHT STARS.

Grumpalicious. This is my first book from Mia Faye. I enjoyed the book. The characters are interesting. I felt myself cheering on Cayden "Cash" Coltrane to get his act together. Genevieve "Genni" Greens wants to be a music star, but without all the hoopla. But when Cash decides to make her a star, she's not sure she wants all the glamour. They decide to an agreement that will help clean Cash's reputation and make Genni a star. But the road to stardom goes through past relationships that might just destroy the new relationship Cash and Genni have now created for themselves. This book is a great read! Cayden was a man who dated but never committed. An old girlfriend tried to shame him but telling how cold and nasty he was as a person. Genevieve was a musician with a beautiful soulful voice. On the night of the Legende Ball, Cayden heard her sing and wanted to sign her up for a record deal, but he also wanted to sleep with her. Genevieve wasn’t having it because she was saving herself for the man she fell in love with. He was in a rude awakening and learning that life wasn’t how he projected it. Genevieve was different and held on to who she was and not allow anyone to change her. She had instant success as an artist with her song Angel. I enjoyed this story because it showed how pain and suffering can cause a person to take on the same type of behavior. Beautifully and well written!

Ok I am absolutely speechless and Blown away by this book. This is one book you must read because it does hold such a powerful message and story that will reach out and grab your heart and make you take a look at your life and if you were all that you could be a person . Genevieve is a singer in a band and meets Cayden aka cash music producer who has a bad reputation for womanizer but when he offers her a deal for a chance to help produce her music will she end up losing more than her vCard and heart or will Cayden finally change his ways and learn to love and be loved?this book was absolutely phenomenal and left me Blown away.

Cash is an awful, broken man. He is selfish and self centered and looking for the right woman to repair his image. Genni wants a career in music. Cash is one of the most successful producers in the world. He is super rich and can afford anything he wants. Genni doesn't buy his crap from the get-go. Cash needs Genni's strong spirit to find his real self and redemption. Cash does a lot of manipulation of Genni. For the most part she puts up with it, keeping her eye on the prize of a successful music career. This story is a journey of love and redemption. Maybe I should call it Cash finds his heart.

Cayden (Cash) is a real grumpy, selfish, and successful producer. Genni is a super talented singer looking for her “chance”. Although Cash could be her way to fame, she isn’t interested in sacrificing who and what she really is as the price. He also has a horrendous ex hanging around with whom he has to do some reality show episodes. Her strength and independence are enviable. Even the lesser characters are clearly pictured as to what kind of person they are and exactly how they fit into the story. Ms. Faye’s talented writing brings her characters to life as well as drawing the reader into their story(ies).

Cayden's image needs help in a real big way. He is known as a playboy and his latest girlfriend is telling anyone that will listen how bad he is. He goes out with some friends to play it off like he is fine and everything but he really is worried. Then he hears Genni sing and its not long before he has a plan worked out with her in mind. Allie is trying to make it in the music business and is struggling. Will he be able to convince her to help him? What happens when things start becoming very real between them?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Ok so let me tell you that the moment Cash opened his mouth i wanted to slap his face....what a foul mouthed perv!!!!.....but the more i read the more i started liking him...he actually turned out to be a decent and loving man....sigh....
Cayden aka Cash needs an intervention asap to repair his reputation thats in tatters after his ex exposed him for a bed hopping playboy...which by the way is all true..but the public dont need to know all that....
When music produver Cash Coltrane asks to speak to Genmi it isnt what she was expecting...
An entertaining and witty enemies to lovers romance that will have you cringing and sighing too

Both know what they want or so they think and stumble along the way in getting there. Gen has her own band and wants to make it further in the music industry and Cayden a mega music producer wants to improve his reputation leading the two to partner. Gen is feisty and holds her own while Cayden can be uncertain and guarded. Their journey together with a host of fun friends to support them is fun to watch develop and will have you cheering them on!

This has all the ingredients of a good story:- playboy self made billionaire record producer who had a rubbish childhood, feelings from that fester beneath a "don't give a damn" veneer. There's a secret love child desperate to know his dad. We have a sexy but innocent woman who's singing career takes off at jet speed, a proposition to be a fake couple to get rid of his toxic ex and of course when fake turns real there's a surprise baby! This turned out not to be a good story but a brilliant story.

After I got past what a pushy, self-centered jerk Cayden/Cash was (towards pretty much everyone), I started to fall for him along with Genevieve. Under all the gruff and conceit, he really did have a heart.
I enjoyed reading as Genni made his heart beat again. She stood up for herself and her beliefs, and pretty soon had Cayden believing in her, as well. Cayden helped her get her career started. Genni helped him get his life started.

A great read, with lots of feelings and heartache.
Genevieve Is a singer and sings in dive bars and wherever her and her band get invited. Whilst singing at the annual Legende Ball, she is invited to talk to Cayden ‘Cash’ Coltrane, owner and producer of his own music company in New York and he wants to offer Genevieve a contract, but, he wants something in return.

I loved this story at first I hated Cash who is a record producer he only wanted Genni for his own selfish reasons he wanted a fake marriage but on the side he wanted to see any woman he liked. I loved Genni she had a backbone and morals she only wanted to give a man her virginity if they were in love. Their attraction was instantaneous but all Genni wanted to do was sing and with Cash hanging around Genni he tried to be a better man. I loved this story and the characters and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

I have to say, this book has definitely kept me glued to my reading nook. The ups and downs and the turn arounds of this book will excite and definitely entertain you.
Genevieve and Cayden has a chemistry that will keep you on your toes and ignite your senses. I only hope that Ryan is next.

I loved this story, there was a bit there that I almost gave up from it but I am glad I kept reading. Genevieve(Genni) really was the wright woman for Cayden(Cash), I loved how she didn't give up on helping him get through his issues. I also liked that Cash would help Genni with her music carrier even if she had refused to be with him. Great characters and a good storyline this book is definitely worth reading.

That Was So Good I Could Hardly Put It Down
Always something going on to keep you interested. Definitely needs editing. There were some contradictions within the story. A scene would play out, then later a thought that didn't coincide. There were hints here and there that something was going to happen, but didn't. After a handful or so of chapters I loved Genevieve already. I have to give the author credit, it took half the book before she actually had full blown sex with him. Allie was a real piece of work.

She was innocent and sweet and just what he needed, so he propositioned her again, this was with a marriage in name only for 3 years - $5 million She countered his offer, 6 months - Free and the help she needed to make it in the record industry. Love in the making.
