This is the second instalment in the “Bad Boy Alpha” series, and I devoured it just like I did the first book! There is just something about this shifter series that I enjoy! This one is about Garret whom we met in the last book. He is the Alpha of his pack, and he sets his sight on an upright, lawyer female who is human but has psychic visions that she tries hard to suppress. Of course, Alpha wolves are not supposed to even think of claiming a human as his mate... but Garret’s wolf has his own opinion on that! He insists that this feisty little human needs to be marked and become their mate.
I loved Garret and his dominant ways!! I also enjoyed the added storyline of his sister; Sedona going missing. It gave us a little suspense thrown into the sexy story! One thing I am learning about this series is that the wolves seem to always need to spank their women... and they always have duct tape handy!!!😂😂 You truly don’t wanna mess with those bad boy Alphas!!! Or maybe you do??!!😂

I was in a reading funk so I went back to this series to give me some cheesy romance because that’s what I love. Alpha’s Danger is the second book in the series and is a standalone. You don’t have to read the prior book to this one (sometimes you do base on how much of the characters are developed, but in this one you don’t).
I liked that the Hero is an Alpha and he’s part of the pack. As always the authors delivers a cute meet-cute and I get right into the book.
I’m not sure what it was. Maybe it was my mood or maybe I didn’t jive with Amber, the Heroine, but this book wasn’t as good as the first one. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t like it. I was kind of ready for the book to wrap up and thank goodness it ends at the 80%ish percentage mark on my kindle.
I didn’t like that Amber was a lawyer because it didn’t really have a basis in the book. She could have been a cook and it would have been fine to use. Also for someone who has an upper degree in education she acted really silly. I’m not saying she has to be smart because this is a cheesy romance novel, but there was something about her that I didn’t like.
Overall, it was a no fuss, no muss kind of read. I will continue on with the series even though this one wasn’t my favorite.

Enjoyable shifter romance
I liked this book. Amber is a psychic who gets visions along with searing migraines when she comes into contact with certain people. Garrett is her new neighbor in the apartment next door and is a wolf shifter and the Alpha of his pack. When they meet, he feels the need to protect her and when his sister is kidnapped on a spring break trip in Mexico, he brings Amber along to help find her. The romance between these two is hot, hot, hot.

This series seems to disappoint me. Amber is a human attorney who grew up in the foster system. She is also a psychic. Garrett is the alpha wolf of his pack and werewolves just cannot mate a human. This is the litany we are told again and again and again in Garrett's POV. Garrett and Amber are instantly attracted to each other but she is skittish because of her past and Garrett tries to stay away because, guess what, werewolves just cannot mate a human. This way of thinking came across as very elitist and snobby to me.
Garrett spends time with Amber and they get to know each other. But this is where the book and Garrett really annoyed me.
The action picks up in the book and my concerns were swept under the rug and forgotten by the fast pace of the story. We all know that things are going to work out fine for our couple but by the end I had lost all respect for our MCs. I wish I could've liked it more. I like these authors but I'm going to stop with this book and maybe another series will work better for me.

Great adventure with light BDSM between shifter H and the human heroine. He knows he can't mate a human but he's mad about her. She has visions and saves him and his pack. I liked how she was strong but fell apart when he shows his dominance. She tried to be independent and he tried to do the right thing for his pack. Good pace, angst and lots of action.

Amber and Garret's story is a wonderful and enjoyable paranormal romance! Amber is a psychic, Garret is a wolf shifter (if you have read the previous book, you already know him!) and they are fated to be together! There are several obstacles to overcome to reach their happily-ever-after but I loved reading all about them!

Douchy H and TSTL h
This is the second book I'm reading from this author and I've uncovered a pattern. "Abuse is somehow sexy", the h is not allowed to say NO, the H is allowed to be an ass without remorse and the drama/suspense part of the book gets resolved in less than three sentences.
It's not worth it y'all. Reading this was such a struggle I feel like I needed to have a "come to Jesus" meeting with the author. Like girl "who hurt you?"
Spoiler Alert!
The H, Garrett met the h, Amber in the elevator. Same place our couple from book one met. Very original by the way. What does the H do? Forces his presence onto the h, even though she repeatedly asked him to leave.
His sister gets kidnapped while on spring break with friends in Mexico and what does the H do? He kidnaps the h, took her to Mexico and forces her to help him find his sister. He duct tapes her to a chair because she tried to escape but of course instead of being rightly angry she's aroused? Really? In what universe? The h, rescues the H and his two pack mates after they themselves gets kidnapped and got put in cages. And what does the H do? He gets angry, attacks her because apparently his wolf can't be reasoned with even if she is his fated mate. Instead of thanking her for saving his sorry, useless behind. He punishes her in this author's favourite unoriginal style of punishment-spanking. Smdh.
Look, guys and gals if what I mentioned above is your cup of tea then proceed at your own risk. I'm out.
These male characters have no redeeming qualities whatsoever. They are abusive, unrepentant and narssistic and the females don't have the common sense God gave a goat.

I love Renee Rose, and Lee Savino...when they team up to write together, its deliciously sexy!
Reading this book made me realize, I want a werewolf! LOL. Garrett and his all male shifter pack were so sexy...and a little funny! I could just picture a big group of overgrown frat boys rough housing and never serious! When Amber, the quiet, isolated psychic lawyer bumps into them and realizes they're her neighbors, she's more than a little apprehensive of the big, tattooed, pierced motorcycle gang! It doesn't take long for her to realize that first impressions aren't always right, and the sparks fly!
This was a great book, I couldn't stop reading it! My only complaint was that it wasn't longer...I wanted more of Garrett and Amber!

Finally a good shifter romance!!
Finally a shifter romance with a bit of bite!! I just loved how the story evolved, Garrett was the perfect alpha...his chemistry with Amber sizzled. The sex scenes were intense and the plot was filled with action and suspense.
I can't wait to read more in the series!

I guess this author only knows to write one type of sex scene because these ones were interchangeable with the ones in the first book (the spanking, the domination, etc.)

Whenever I pick up a Renee Rose novel I know that I will be swept away by a rugged and tough alpha male and the sassy woman that brings him to his knees. That is exactly what we got in Alpha's Danger. Garrett and Amber were so HOT and sexy. It was exactly what I loved in my books: a growly, possessive alpha male and the woman he claims as his mate. I could not get enough.
While this novel is the second book in the series, Alpha's Danger is a complete standalone. When Alpha Pack leader Garrett moves in next door, Amber realizes she has a problem without even having to use her psychic abilities. She has a visceral connection to him and seeing their combustible chemistry in action was sexy AF. But what happens when Garrett needs Amber to use her psychic powers to help locate his kidnapped sister? Will she be able to help them in time?

I liked this one less than the first and I think it was mostly cause of the "kidnapping". Usually I don't mind our h being kidnapped by the H because it's just about never for nefarious purposes (not in my books at least) and it was the same here but I don't know... it just kinda rankled.
Also, I didn't feel the chemistry. That first book? I had a smile Cheshire wide from the get go, this one just didn't click.

He takes her on a date on his motorcycle, they start to make out, but he can't control his wolf - so he shifts and runs off.
He abandons her.
Stranded on a mountain.
In the middle of nowhere.
With no way to get home.
I get it was an "emergency", but a normal person - much less a protective alpha type - would at least feel bad about it, right?
When he returns from his run, we're in his POV - and not once does he think "Oh I hope Amber is okay. I regret leaving her in a dangerous situation." Her friend even gets in his face and tells him off for ditching her, and he thinks - NOTHING. The authors literally make him a blank slate, in his own POV. He never apologizes or explains - not a flicker of worry or guilt. He just growls at her friend to "back off". I was in shock. I should've DNF'd because there was no way I could view him as protective after that.

Oh yeah, the phrase "let the record reflect" is used eighteen times in this short book. Maybe that doesn't seem like overkill but trust.
Fun fact: Seinfeld only uttered the iconic "Hello, Newman." eighteen times, out of 180 total episodes. Less is more. Way, way less.

But... but... the whole purpose of the birth control pill is to suppress ovulation. 🤦♀️

Oh yeah, the phrase "let the record reflect" is used eighteen times in this short book. Maybe that doesn't seem like overkill but trust.

Finally, this is definitely a nitpick, but in Chapter Six, Garrett sniffs Amber and says "You're close to ovulation." Then in Chapter Eight, Amber says "I’m on the pill."
But... but... the whole purpose of the birth control pill is to suppress ovulation. 🤦♀️

Wonderful SCI-FI Romance - Highly Recommend Series
For adults only (18+ years old) Contains subject matter that may be sensitive or inappropriate for some, including adult language, detailed intimate scenes (BDSM spanking, bondage, etc.) and violence (kidnapping, murder, etc.)
