It's now 2/19/24 ... 😅🫠 girl obviously I DID. NOT read the Chinese version of Let Me Pursue you, but definitely I AM too lazy to put a book into GR if any iteration of it already exists 🙃🤷🏻♀️😇
The whole "past life"/"I'm a stone" thing was ... O_o WTF. Also *sigh* like ... I think? This is the translator that did "a lot of research"/puts in all those "footnotes" of poetry and shit, but she freely admits it's just lightly "edited" MTL and yet all these people said how it's great translations and ... yo. And yet I can't judge cuz I'm the bitch who read it - and read a bunch so... you know.
Whatever.
I did like this! It's kinda double "face slapping" (saying you'll never love [person] but then falling in love). Heh. Can't blame a bitch just trying to keep herself and her family alive. Was actually very sad about P...6 was it? I kept hoping I'd be wrong, but nope.
I kinda wish there had been more development of things but ... overall this was a very satisfying read - scheming ML, smart but not that smart FL, and I don't blame here. There were also SO many moving parts - like omfg at least the princess was "rebirthed" and who knows who else. And that FL only got information piecemeal through dreams and was also always that [stone] who only heard rumors from the "common people" which are NOTORIOUSLY inaccurate/rumors are so often wrong. So I don't blame her - nor for her not figuring out ML's alter ego earlier cuz dude put in WORK to fool her- and as others said, had fooled so many other people for so long.
I'd definitely read more by this author.

Hm. While knocking off SIL was satisfying feel like the emperor just left them a giant fucking problem since she’s still alive.

C74 & the cherry. Heh first sweet/sexy then poor ML is tormented by the Yuan siblings 😹💯 I was wheeze laughing.
C80 glad he revealed the truth of the alter ego in their wedding night finally. (To the people calling her stupid for not figuring it out AYFKM. Nobody else did for years. And he did an amazing job hiding it.)
C92 yikes the princess was rebirthed too and is now the pregnant crown princess of an enemy state. This… seems like very bad news.
Also creepy the emperor knew FL was pregnant before ML.

Tựa Việt: "Thiếp định chàng rồi, quyết chẳng buông".
"Thiếp định chàng rồi, quyết chẳng buông" của Cố Liễu Chi kể về cô con quan Nguyên Tứ Nhàn nhờ giấc mơ mà thấy kết cuộc thê thảm của bản thân và gia đình đời trước, được sống lại một lần quyết tâm cải mệnh cứu gia đình. Tứ Nhàn bám đùi ông Phật to trong triều là Lục Thời Khanh, từ đó cả hai mới dây dưa qua lại, một lần dây dưa là cả một đời.
Cảm nhận của mình: 8-/10
(+) • truyện hành văn rất là tốt (cảm mơn nhà dịch);
• sub-plot chính trị hay, siêu cuốn. Cuốn đến nỗi đang rửa chén mà ghiền quá phải ngưng lạii để đọc (xong bị mẹ phát hiện ra đang 'lacking' rùi la ỏm tỏi huhu)
Tuy nhiên, đối với mình, điểm trừ là
(-) tuyến tình cảm cứ thiếu chân thành thế nào nên mình không cảm được chem;
* Nguyên Tứ Nhàn trọng sinh hư tình giả ý tiếp cận quyền thần đảo khuynh triều chính Lục Thời Khanh (để thay đổi vận mệnh và điều tra cái chết của mình ở kiếp trước). Sau này Lục Thời Khanh có tình cảm với Tứ Nhàn thật, nhưng cổ đối đãi với ảnh vẫn là với hidden motive chứ không với chân tình, vì vậy mình nói “thiếu chân thành” là bởi khúc này. Cộng thêm nam chính bắt đầu thích nữ chính vì những thứ mình cảm thấy là physical quá (vì cổ đẹp, bắt đầu thích (?) khi tiếp xúc cơ thể zới cổ; not judging tho my man), mà gu mình thì thích mấy câu chuyện tình người hơn nên mình drop.
Nguyên Tứ Nhàn cũng là một cô gái thông minh, thức thời; các nhân vật tương tác với nhau đều rất hợp tình hợp lý: (vd Cổ muốn giúp anh hoàng tử nào đang vướng vào âm mưu phe đối lập, cũng giúp một cách tinh tế, thông minh trong tình hình nhạy cảm chính trị; mình nhớ không lầm là vờ như tình cờ gặp ở Chùa xong đưa giỏ thức ăn qua, trong thức ăn có mảnh giấy nhắc nhở người ta)...

Even with all that goes on, this book is mostly light-hearted. The rebirth does not feel like a rebirth, even though we know that it is I would have like some other extra stories on the backend, but I was ultimately fine with how it ended.
