The author was born a long time ago. He spent three years in the US Army where he learned a lot of vital skills, such as how to use a soldering iron and screwdriver, as well as how to make the bed, mop the floor, and wash dishes. He grew up and spent most of his life in San Francisco. After obtaining a useless liberal arts degree, he became a social worker and did more than 20 years in the mean streets of New York City, San Francisco, and rural California.

He is now devoted to writing books, which he should have been doing in the first place. He has written some science fiction and fantasy, but is now mainly interested in tales of the Old West. Previous publications include The Terrorist Plot at Gopherville, Gold, A Tale of the California Gold Rush, Journey to Rhyolite and Chapel Perilous.

1st April 1906 is the date that Broderick MacRae, reporter for The Daily Morning Call realised that he was possessed by the mind of a dead Italian soldier called Abramo. Abramo has a mission that he wants McRae to perform, then he will leave.
An entertaining well-written historical mystery

Fun to Read

Though not in the realm of reality, the story is crafted to pull the reader in. It’s not great literature, but the story is interesting and, at time, mischievous.

I like this writer. Like the way he writes, not only the story. This time it was about McRae, a newspaper reporter. He was "approached" by a ghost who wanted him to stop the murder of the famous operasinger Caruso. And to make his wife (who by the way had left him) to leave town before a certain day. Confusing? A little at times, but it all ended with a big bang. ;)
