Being left at the alter on your wedding day is devastating.

August 14, 2024This started out so promising. The fiancee runs off with h’s horrible little sister and the equally horrible mother supports it. The heroine actually stands up to mom and sister then there’s the rest of the story. The h turns into a me-me-me emotional vampire that sucks all the energy and blood from her friends and the H. She’s one of those chicks that is surrounded by a circle of concerned friends and, sniffle, just can’t seem to move on. Her best friend and her now boyfriend take the brunt of the heroine’s drain. I honestly felt sorry for them.
And the H, is totally the chick. Handsome, built like sin, he’s a badass orthodontist. Nothing sexier…begone you Greek tycoons, MC bad boys and Navy Seals. The H is going to straighten you, or your teeth, out. Poor guy, tries to move on with a really nice girl after the h dumps for him…reasons. Suspicious timing, the h finds out and decides NOW she wants him and shows up to his house on a date. Poor unsuspecting other girl, the H can’t seem to care for her because she has a gap in her teeth. I didn’t make that up.
I was so disgusted as it all started out so well. Now that the h has been rejected by the H because he has pride, she devolves into a gooey mess and

Some solid angst, good reasoning for hesitating to take things further, lucky timing to prevent something further from happening with his rebound and a decent reunion.
The h is dealt a shitty hand with her family and her ex fiancé. She meets the H and they hit it off but understandably she’s hesitant to take things further and breaks things off.
The H is upset but after a time, allows himself to go on a double date and finds her to be sweet and easy to be around. They never do anything more than kiss, as the H is still hung up on the h. The night he decides to take things further, the h comes over to talk.
The H breaks up with his new gf but tells h that they had their chance and he wouldn’t take another one with her-she missed her chance.
The h takes this badly and after not looking after herself, ends up staying with her shitty family until the H comes for her.
They have their HEA

My Review:
C.A. Harms is one of my go-to authors when I need a refreshing shot of sizzle and sass. She populates her tales with primary and secondary characters who are endearing yet realistically flawed and packs her storylines with just the right balance of humor/angst/and sensuality to cure any funk I may have fallen into, whether it is a reading slump or external stressors. I enjoyed her latest missive featured a likable and accessible couple attempting to keep it casual when it was anything but.

3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK decent reads

Our heroine was betrayed and cheated in the worst possible way and her family is from hell. So it's justifiable that she doesn't want emotional involvement with our hero. Our hero went into this with his eyes open, but he couldn't take it and wanted more of the relationship.
He broke up with her and soon became involved with another woman, Heather. He was willing to move on and forget about Dani.
I confess that it pissed me off.
He looked more like the hormonal woman in the relationship, all feeling and emotion.
She's a blob of mess and her head screwed up.
In the end they were both happy and everything worked out. Thank God.

Safety:
OW drama - When they were separated, MMC briefly dated OW but didn’t get as far as kissing since he’s still very much hang up with the FMC.
Personally this didn’t bother me because at this point I was actually cheering for him to find someone else because the FMC kept on pushing and pushing him away and hurting him repeatedly.
OM drama - FMC had an ex that she loved but cheated on her which causes trust issues and she was still not over her at the first parts of the book which causes problem and jealousy between her and the MMC.

Jonah and Dani
As every single book from c.a harms is a winner this one is as well. I loved it . Dani has had a rough life. And she has sworn off all men. Jonah sees Dani and bang he's hooked. Sadly he doesn't know she will walk away. Finding out about her past is scary . trying to win her hurt is scarier.

Complete garbage
Sex, sex, obsession, sex, sex, depression, sex, insecurity, sex, sex, sex, controlling behavior and more sex.
I'm officially out of words to describe how terrible the messages in these 'romance ' books are. Jonah is another in a long line of leading men with no redeemable qualities. You'll read a bunch of 5 star reviews about how great he is written by people who look past his repugnant behavior because he's described as good looking with a magical penis. Jonah is completely obsessed with Dani from the moment they meet. I'm not going to go into all the details but he is true trash. He jumps on her immediately after she turns him down for a date. When she agrees to his offer of just sex, he immediately starts lying and scheming to get her to agree to more, then when she doesn't she is somehow the bad guy even though she was completely honest about her wants and needs. That's the thing though. Jonah and these other heroes don't have respect for the women they supposedly love. I have no idea why this is the guy these authors continue to write. Anyways. To recap Jonah: he's a liar, manipulative, controlling, abusive (multiple times grabbing her, using his strength to keep her from moving freely, once he even grabs her by the face to keep her from looking away from him), he uses another girl even though he knows he doesn't want her, he is constantly chasing Dani down if she tries to get even a moment to herself. She wants to have a girl's night out? Nope. He follows her to the club. He demands she not talk to her family. He deletes messages from her phone. He doesn't allow her to speak if she begins to disagree with him. She went from not being herself in her previous relationship, to only being allowed to be who she is with Jonah because he's always demanding she do things she's uncomfortable with or tricking her into them. He lets us know multiple times that he's not going to let her do this or that. He's insecure and can't take even an hour apart from him. Freaks out if he wakes up and she's not in the bed. He throws away a lifelong friendship because his friend didn't instantly forgive Dani for hurting Jonah. I could go on, but I've made my point.
The characters are so childish and immature. Petty jealousy and insecurity. They behave like high schoolers. There is so much sex in this book. I didn't count but there are at least a dozen different sex scenes. The author didn't have the ability to establish an actual romance or connection between these 2 characters so she makes sex the cure-all for any problems they have. This book was torturous to finish. Unrealistic, misogynistic garbage from beginning to end.

Loved the heroine, annoyed with hero
So I am at 60% and couldn't take it anymore!.yes I will finish and maybe edit the review but for now I am so annoyed. Danielle had been hurt terribly. She was honest from the start about not being able to give Jonah more. He is the one who kept pushing her and pretending to be okay with only casual just so she would agree to it. He even tricked her to staying the night when he knew she didn't want to and then he's angry she snuck out in the morning. Then when he decides he actually can't do casual he is mad at her for still not being able to give him more. Not only he is mad but her friends too. Yes they can tell her she made a mistake but can't turn her to the villain. Danielle never lied or misled him in anyway. And her BFF taked his side because her boyfriend is Jonah's friend. That annoyed me too.
While Jonah himself did way worse to Heather. He DID mislead her. He didn't tell her he was hung up on someone else and that's why he can't take the next step with her. He made her believe he is just moving slow. Then he blind sided her. His actions were much worse.

Her ex fiance soon realizes his stupidity, texts her that he still loves her and wants her back. Message is intercepted by the new love who visits him announcing their engagement that hasn't happened quite yet ...And threatens to advise his now pregnant wife and the family of his duplicity!

Bottom line:
"We met and I thought we could be more, she didn't."
Yet, he (and the people who are supposed to love her) shame her for being too scared to start another relationship:
“A huge part of me hates Dani for making me fall for her; even though I know that isn't fair, it doesn't stop the feeling from coming.”

I hate that she's done this to me. I hate how she's ruined me.
Hero about ow, Heather:
…when she smiles, I notice the small gap between her two front teeth and quickly look back to her eyes. Dani [h] had perfect teeth.

Though I may not feel the uncontrollable lust and desire I’ve always felt with Dani, I find Heather is very interesting to talk to. I figure it can’t hurt to have something to take my mind off the heavy feeling in my chest reminding me Dani and I are over.

Creepy ow, 2 seconds after they agree to break up because he has unresolved feelings for the h:

This was an awesome story about Daniella and Jonah. Its a story about facing your fears, moving on even from all the wrong choices and sometimes all the wrong choices can actually bring you all the right choices.
Dani is a school teacher with some really awesome friends but a very toxic family. What they do to Dani in this story was some of the worst dynamics I have read ever. And Dani can't help but love them and they use that against her. I love that Jonah came and saved her from them.
Jonah and Dani meet and well she is in a lot of pain then. He falls hard for her but she still struggles to deal with her past pain. There is a part of the story where Jonah dates someone else and to be honest I hated that part of the story. It became a sorta love triangle and at least no sex was involved, it did bother me to read it. This story has loads of angyst.
Then when Dani tries to get Jonah back he does something so awful to her I am not sure I could have forgiven him for that. And honestly I did not understand his motivation at all. I did like that that eventually he tries to make it right but I truly couldn't understand his mtotivations for how he acts to her.
After all that craziness the book gets pretty great and thats when I started loving this book and loving Dani and Jonah's story. Both Dani and Jonah made all the wrong choices in this story but when you have forgiveness you can also come back from bad choices and make the right ones.
This was a romantic story with tons and tons of angyst. But I also adored both Dani and Jonahs story.

Dani is a school teacher with some really awesome friends but a very toxic family. What they do to Dani in this story was some of the worst dynamics I have read ever. And Dani can't help but love them and they use that against her. I love that Jonah came and saved her from them.
Jonah and Dani meet and well she is in a lot of pain then. He falls hard for her but she still struggles to deal with her past pain. There is a part of the story where Jonah dates someone else and to be honest I hated that part of the story. It became a sorta love triangle and at least no sex was involved, it did bother me to read it. This story has loads of angyst.
Then when Dani tries to get Jonah back he does something so awful to her I am not sure I could have forgiven him for that. And honestly I did not understand his motivation at all. I did like that that eventually he tries to make it right but I truly couldn't understand his mtotivations for how he acts to her.
After all that craziness the book gets pretty great and thats when I started loving this book and loving Dani and Jonah's story. Both Dani and Jonah made all the wrong choices in this story but when you have forgiveness you can also come back from bad choices and make the right ones.
This was a romantic story with tons and tons of angyst. But I also adored both Dani and Jonahs story.

Could've swore I read this before
I know I've read this before not sure if the Author renamed it or if it's that close to another book.
Anyway Dani is left at the Alter by Matthew who disappeared with her sister.
Dani then meets Jonah which is a great man but there's a lot of push and pull as she is truly scared.
It was nice to see Matthew regret his decision too little too late. However, it is sad that her parents never showed her kindness.

Mrs. C. A. Harms has done it again! She has become one click authors.
After reading the blurb I knew I wss going to live it, it has everything you want full on angst, gut-wrenching heartbreak and a flawed broken h that you will love.
Dani was dealt a crappy home life and a very self absorbed sister who could do no wrong. After her heartbreaking discovery of what had been done to her she built her wall very high. Jonah took one look and fell for Dani but she was still to broken to see what was right in front of her. Then after pushing to hard Jonah left too.
Then it broke her further and took her where back to where Dani thought she'd never be. It was hard to see Dani so lost and lifeless. Then watching Jonah move on even though all his thoughts were about Dani. Then what he did to Dani... Ugh...
I loved that he knew he was wrong and wanted to give Dani something that she's never had a family, someone to really love her!! Jonah was going to do it and get Dani to who she really needed to be...
Then I loved them together and all those sexy hot scenes!!

This one will put you thru the emotional ringer... At times you will wanna hold Dani and just be there to make her feel better, then at other times you will wanna grab her by the shoulders and shake the bejeesus outta her.. lol... I get why she felt the way she did but at times I just wanted to shake her and wake her up. Jonah is one in a million, tho he's far from perfect... He's just what Dani needs if only she could open up. There are lots of upsand downs, Kleenex are a must... Thankfully it all works out and they get their HEA... Dani finally gets the family she has always longed for

The angst. The steam. So dang good!
I forgot how much I loved CA Harms books. I haven’t read a novel of hers in quite some time and I was quickly reminded of how fantastic her writing is! Thank you so much for the ARC CA Harms
‘All the Wrong Choices’ was such a beautiful love story filled with some major angst and steam. CA did an awesome job balancing the two. You will catch all the feels will reading about Jonah and Danielle. I’m not kidding, when I say, I literally felt the angst in the pit of my stomach.

Jonah and Dani’s chemistry was insane. I felt the love they had for one another immensely. This is definitely not a slow burn and man I LOVED that! Their attraction was immediate. Their relationship wasn’t conventional and I honestly enjoyed reading through their hard fought journey to love.

This story is what you call a rollercoaster of emotions. Danielle was overcoming the ultimate betrayal when she met Jonah. Jonah was immediately smitten and knew that Danielle was the woman he’s always been waiting for. They were great friends but there was a lot more to their relationship. Danielle went thru a series of events that had her overthinking things and at times messing with her well being. Jonah was always there when needed but when Danielle pushed him away things just went downhill especially for her. I felt like shaking her to her senses but I understood why she was like that. Jonah went to her rescue literally and fought hard for their love. They were both amazing and she finally let down her walls. Jonah was extremely protective and towards the ending he did something that some might find petty but I found it extremely amusing. They both had friends that were very protective and loyal and Jonah’s parents and sister were simply amazing. Loved it!!

CA Harms puts us through the ringer with this one. I had so many different emotions and feels throughout this book...just wow!
Anger, sympathy, strength, lust, heat, passion, butterflies, jealousy, denial, pain, devastation, heartbreak, numbness, hope, uncertainty, fear, love, protection, security, safety, wanted, forever... I feel like I’ve run the emotional gauntlet. There were times when I wanted to close the app and toss my phone but I had to know how this played out. I was literally distraught and completely invested in what would happen next. I couldn’t be more happy that I hung in there and let myself ride the emotions while I turned each page. I’m left smiling and complete knowing where the ending took me. This is a fantastic read and one I would highly recommend. CA Harms has written so many wonderful stories but this one has gone above and beyond. You guys are gonna love Dani and Jonah!!

All the Wrong Choices by C.A. Harms is one of those books that starts out with heartbreak, emotional upheaval and from there runs the gambit of emotions - from pain, heartache, betrayal, loss, new love, romance, heat, feels, attraction, drama, fear, wants, needs, forgiveness, 2nd chance at love, and an amazing HEA. Danielle and Jonah have this magical connection. Danielle finds out her fiancee was cheating on her with someone very close to her. She ends the relationship and decides to move on. Around this time, her BFF introduced her to Jonah and they immediately clicked. But due to the betrayal in Dani's past, she was recluctant to realize she had met her true love. The story moved at a pretty decent pace while keeping the story entertaining, engaging and sizzling. Great banter, believable characters and fantastic ending!

One of my new favs
I loved every page of this book! Dani and Jonah's love story is full of emotion that you feel like you are experiencing everything right along with them. Their connection is instant along with their insane chemistry. I adore Jonah! His love for Dani will make you swoon. He definitely has a top spot on my fav book boyfriends list. I loved that a good chunk of the book is of them together. I always feel like I get robbed when a couple finally together at the very end of the book. You get so much more with this book. So good! 😍

I really didn’t like h, I just didn’t connect with her, her personality, something just seemed off, she was too cold and mean

Those words adequately describe this book. It was a rollercoaster of emotions. Starting with being left at the alter and then deciding if you can let your heart open to someone new. Someone who is ready to give up EVERYTHING for you. Shew this book had me mixed in my emotions. I felt so much for both Dani and Jonah and I LOVED how Ms. Harms showcased both characters vulnerability.
Love is scary and you have to be willing to keeping your heart open.

I wasn't a fan of Dani, she got on my wick with the way she treated Jonah. The only thing that sort of saved this one for me was that Jonah woke up after a while, stopped being her doormat and walked away from her and started seeing another woman which (sadly) woke Dani up. He should've stood firm and stayed with Heather. THAT's how much I disliked Dani.

One of the best stories I've read by her
I absolutely fell in love with Jonah & Dani's story. It's usually the other way around with the guy not wanting to be in a committed relationship but wow...this was wonderfully written. The characters were all likeable, except for the runaway groom and her family of course. I loved that he realized what a gigantic mistake he made in the end. Jonah made sure to rub it in his face too. This book had laugh out loud moments, like the scene where they're packing up Danielle's apartment and moving in with Jonah. You'll have to read to find out what I mean. There were a lot of swoon-worthy moments as well because Jonah is the perfect book boyfriend. I don't like to give away too much so I'll end this by saying the epilogue was the perfect ending to their love story. I recommend to those who love a good second chance romance with all the feels. Happy reading!

I love the writing and the story. Couldn't wait to finish it. Forget sleep, appointments and the kids, I'm all about this right choice, or at least I was till the MMC became a needy teen.
Seriously, that's how you treat someone you love?! I can't say if I misinterpreted the timeline or if it really is screwed. I think it's the latter and the hero is really screwed. It's not even a year since Danielle got out of a very serious relationship, how is she supposed to commit to another equally intense one so soon after? All she needed was time and all Jonah didn't have is that. He's so much in love that he couldn't even stay single for a few months. He's so in love that couldn't not kiss another girl. He's so in love that he couldn't stay celibate. (Also, what was his obsession with Heather's teeth?!). And the way he left her depressed, wow! Such a hero!!! I, for one, will never trust him again. She deserves much better.And that's all I've got to say. Adios Amigos.
