Pasts will be revealed, trials will come to light, and through it all, Avery will be put to the test. Will she manage to convince Cameron that their love can overcome any demons, no matter how dark or difficult?
3.75 ☆ This book felt so slow and so fast at the same time. I don't know, i had a good time nonetheless. I love avery and cameron so much. I aspire to have avery's confidence.
II forgot to update but this book was amazing and cam and avery r my fav couple. only 4 stars bc i HATED the break they took but everything else is amazing and they compliment each other so well
CAM CAM OMFG!!!! Ik this is only the second book in the series but so far this is my fav out of the series. I loved everything about this. The fact that their not just lovers but best friends 🥲 Love how this is a brokenxbroken trope not just where one of them is traumatized. They are the epitome of a healthy relationship. For a wattpad book this was so maturely written. This made my standards touch Jesus 😭 Need a physical copy of this rn 💥💳 Avery is too fucking fine bro. Also love how the author mentions her culture throughout the whole book not just saying it once and then only bringing it up when it comes to describing her body. Honestly one of my favorite romances bec of how fucking refreshing it was reading a book where their in a healthy loving relationship and no toxic shit.
MY BABY CAM CAM, fell in love with him in book one, he’s so funny i cant even some of the stuff he comes out with: he deserved sm better- so did Avery- i love they went to therapy and worked on them, and then found their way back to eachother, instead of being #toxic. i may or may not of read this in a day… youll never know. now hes a pro boxer, so proud of him 💟💟💟 when avery brought his parents the stars, my heart=exploded. AND WHEN HE CRIED BC HE LOVED HER SM. hes so precious im so excited to read nates book next// the strip scene in this was way too funny
ugh CAM CAM u have my whole entire heart. hananah f u and i’m happy ur dead. jax and cams friendship is literally the cutest thing. avery and him are literally so funny and so sweet. love this book.
Avery is such a devoted character she embodies many things: confidence, doubt, fear, uncertainty, devotion, love, forgiveness and acceptance but so does Cam. They’re so alike but so different at the same times. They show you can be the most insecure person in the room and still elude such confidence that nobody suspects a thing, really reminds you to check up on your friends because you never know.
Cam’s story is heartbreaking but I’m so glad all his thoughts and feelings are actually shared and he addresses them maturely and in therapy. I’m glad Avery doesn’t lose sight on what she really wants despite everything and also attends therapy. It makes me happy to know they really assessed their situation and knew they needed to take a break for themselves and each other- I loved that part- sure I didn’t care for Avery’s party/clubbing antics in the meantime but I don’t harbour any feelings of dislike that’s for sure.
They’re truly a couple that have such an instant connection but are mature enough to know what’s best, they make each other so much better. They’re a true partnership. They’re funny, they’re hot, they’re spicy, they’re the whole package really.
Insta-love isn’t something I typically like but I feel this is wrote so well and does the trope some well deserved justice.
There are so many things I loved about this book oh my god.
-I fell in love with Cameron and Avery in the first book and I was scared they might change in this one and I won't like them. I'm so glad I was wrong because I somehow just loved them so much more??
-There's something I love so much about authors who make their characters go to therapy. Books where trauma just VANISHES when two characters fall in love is bullshit and annoying asf. YOU DO NOT DUMP TRAUMA ON YOUR PARTNER AND GET FIXED THAT'S SO WRONG. I was so freaking happy that that wasn't the case in this book and that both of them got therapy for their trauma.
-Humour in this story was top tier I was laughing so hard the whole time and Avery and Cameron together were just AWESOME. I had to control my laughter so many times cause my mom said she would kick me out if I kept laughing like a clown. Sorry mom, I'm a swiftie being a clown is my full time job.
-They were mature AND playful like literally the best duo ever. They knew when to talk and what was serious and important. Extremely serious and extremely childish characters both are annoying to me and I'm glad I saw neither of those characters in this book. And I just loved the fact that stupid issues weren't dragged unnecessarily to create dumb drama that no one wants.
Pretty sure this is my longest review yet but I just love to rant about Wattpad books ESPECIALLY to those people who think the app just has fanfics and bad books. Y'all act like every published book you've read is awesome like stfu 💀. But well, in the end it's you missing out right?
It’s not a bad book, but it’s definitely my least favorite of the series. One thing I didn’t like for example, was how the author wrote Avery’s character. Seeing how she acts in other books makes it hard to believe that she’d act so childishly in some moments in the book. The jealousy I’ve seen from her, to me is seen as perpetuating stereotypes of Latin women being hot-tempered and feisty. Also I felt like the author wrote Avery’s character in another stereotypical way. I’m not saying the other female characters didn’t act like her at all. However, Avery being the only Latina in the book and also being the most sexual, didn’t really sit right with me. I like them as a couple, but there book didn’t do it for me.
Seeing how much the couple went through I feel like there needed to be more pages. It felt a bit rushed at some points.
•This story is literally good because it gives me a rollercoaster ride of emotions. This book will explain more about the depth of the guys friendship. I fell even more with Jaxon and Nate in this book❤️
•The relationship btw Cameron & Avery is very cute at first but towards the middle part of the story, their vibes kinda disappointed for me. It just I don't feel their love towards each other like I feel with Jaxon & Emily.
5⭐️ OHMIGAWD I LOVED THIS SO DAMN MUCH CAMERY WAS JUST TOO WHOLESOME AND THEY SERVEDDDD THE BANTER, THE HEAT, THE CUTENESS GAHHHH THEY WERE EXQUISITE And y’all don’t get me started on cam… The things I’d make this man do to me I’m literally simping and why is he fictional again😪 And Aves🔥🔥 this woman was just beyond and she always slayeddddd OH AND THE SNIPPETS WITH DA BOYZZ WAS SO GOOD AND GREGORYYYYYY AHHHH MY BAEEEE
OMG THIS BOOK AAS LITERALL PERFECTION. I loved the pairing between avery and cameron and how they match eachother personality so much and the amount of chemistry sizzling was out of the world.I loved the fact that they were mature enough to seperate and heal then reunite when they've healed and overall become stronger together. AND CAMERON MF WEST. OMG. THIS MAN. I do need to say even though it was a serious matter the word 'gigolo' cracks me up so much and everytime I think if it I crack up.
TW : mention of OD, suicide, sexual harassment, rape, abuse.
This one was a lot better than the first one. I loved how both the MCs actually communicated instead of leaving each other, and how they both try to be better for each other.
Both Avery and Cameron are sunshine character but the things they both have gone through makes this plot even better.
There were some things that I didn't find good enough but apart from the plot was really good.
when cameron first lays his eyes on avery, he literally can’t take them away. and neither does she (and he literally asks her to have his babies)
this is a sexy romance book where the mcs are absolutely shameless (meaning they would say or do anything without a filter). they are possibly the funniest of the group even with the hidden paths. it didn’t bring them down.
even though this is probably my least favorite book of the series, the two characters are absolutely worth it.
I LOVE CAMERON WEST!! Avery and cameron are both so hot and their flirty personalities make this book even better.I loved their relationship!! AAAAHHH!! I fell in love with this couple
Those characters. I'll only repeat myself, but those two stole my heart. Their sense of humor is something I utterly need in my life, so I am so grateful to be able to read this.
