Broken Curse: Twisted Tales: Crown of Roses Book Two

Rate this book
After searching for years, Philip has finally found his soul bond only to have her fall into the oblivion of a sleeping curse. However, he soon discovers that the soul bond is pulling him into the cursed darkness with her. When the Furian king takes drastic measures to free him from the pull, Philip discovers things about his soul bond he never expected. In Furi, secrets are kept and Philip struggles to understand who Snow is and if he'll ever see her again beyond his vivid dreams.

Audora has awakened from her curse to discover that she's manifested into fae form. And not only does she have new pointy ears and sharper canine teeth that she never expected, but she is now a sparrow...something she's not sure how to control. In search of her true love, Audora flees Wessix for The Wilds where she quickly discovers the magic and deadliness of that world. Where everything is trying to kill her for sport or make a meal out of her, Audora is forced to survive by her own sheer will. The naive and pampered princess is now naked and roaming The Wilds, hoping to understand who she really is and to discover who she is to become.

When fate pulls Snow and Audora in directions they never expected, they will have to make tough decisions that will lead to heartbreak and danger. Fate has put them on the path to discovering who they are, the secrets of the past, and the Prophecy of Roses. Bonds will be tested, loyalties tried, and enemies discovered in the least likely of places.

In the mood for a book--or three--that will break your heart just a little and leave you wanting more? Enjoy this romantic fantasy twist on fae meets twisted fairy tales, and get immersed in the entire trilogy.

D. L. Boyles hails from the Midwest in an area known for biking, a famous astronaut, and cranberries, where she resides with her husband and three of their four children, their oldest now an adult and mom herself. Completing the family is their cat-dog duo—the jury is still out whether the dog thinks she's a cat or the cat thinks she's a dog—six tropical fish, two frogs, and the fastest aquatic snail she's ever seen. Gardening and imagining things for her husband and son to build are a few of her favorite activities when not reading or writing or entertaining outdoors.

She spent twelve years in the military and has a degree in Religious Studies with a minor in History. Her favorite things are coconut water, hot tea, Fall, and planting trees. As far as reading goes, D.L. Boyles is a lover of fantasy (epic and romantic fantasy), historical fiction, regency romance, and some contemporary romance. Her favorite reads are the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, Francine Rivers's "Redeeming Love," Elle Madison & Robin D. Mahle's Lochlann Treaty and Lochlann Feuds series, Clare Sager's Beneath Black Sails, Audrey Gray's Kingdom of Runes series, and Val Saintcrowe's series, Rise of the Death fae.

As a child, she grew up watching the Discovery Channel with her Papa, Westerns with her dad, Classics with her grandma, Star Trek with her mom, and Dungeons and Dragons (the cartoon series) on Saturday mornings. She-ra and He-man were two of her other favorite cartoons and have influenced her idea of magical worlds. The first romance book ever put in her hands was from her aunt who she visited in the summers during middle school. As a mom who has done lots of driving with her kids, she's spent years making up stories to entertain them and now those stories are finally working their way into print; her oldest daughter is anticipating one in particular which includes dragons.

Loving the series!

I’m loving how we’re finally getting some of the pieces of big picture. I’m excited to binge read the third one when it comes out!
