Besides, every time she gives her lover satisfaction, she receives a rare and valuable pearl as a reward. An English lord and a lovely slave find that circumstance and fate have a hand in granting those rare Arabian Pearls... Erotic Historical [contains graphic sexual content and adult language] Novella (25,000 words) 5 "The Regency era has never been sexier than what you’ll experience in Arabian Pearl. Emma Wildes’ unique writing style is edgy and erotic. Robert’s tenderness is sweet and sexy while Celia’s acceptance of him and her situation is both moving and emotional. These two sensual characters create enough heat to warm you on the coldest of nights and will have you reaching for ice when things get too hot. I anxiously look forward to the remaining stories in the Brothers of the Absinthe Club series. If they’re anything like Arabian Pearl, I'll need to free up more space on my Keeper shelf!" —Kerin, Two Lips Reviews5 "WOW!! Arabian Pearl is an amazing story. When Celia realizes the situation, she offers herself to Robert. Ms. Wildes has an incredible storytelling talent and she shows it here. Celia is a beautiful and innocent young woman who is seduced by Robert, a handsome and knowledgeable man. Their sexual encounters are beyond erotic; each night for twelve nights Robert teaches Celia something new. I was trembling in my chair as I read about their exploits. Celia grows in this story from an innocent child to an adult and sexually aware young woman. Robert knows that what he is doing is against all the rules of his society, but he does not want Celia punished and thrown into a far corner of the harem. Although they are not allowed to discuss their lives in England, they manage to get to know each other in whispers. I was simply enthralled by this story and I highly recommend it to everyone who enjoys a beautiful, graphic and erotic love story." —Marcy Arbitman, The Romance Studio5 "This reader found Arabian Pearl a most interesting read that not only charms but titillates as well. This fascinating tale allows the reader to escape into a world of sultans, harems, and a beautiful love slave with her English lord. Even though Celia and Robert’s story is so much different from the other beautiful women in Celia’s predicament, I found my heart going out to those women who couldn’t be helped and had to suffer their fate when they were sold into slavery. Emma Wildes blends some wonderful characters, romance, and a bit of history to make a sensual read that keeps the readers interest. She paints characters with so much emotion that touch the reader, especially the poor women in bondage, yet she creates a very poignant love story between Celia and Robert that is remarkably breathtaking making this one excellent read." —Linda L., Fallen Angel Reviews
Emma was born in Minnesota and she lives in the Midwest, though she grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She attended Illinois State University where she majored in geology, and there she met her husband, Chris. They have three children, a temperamental cat named Poot, and are lucky enough to live on a beautiful lake. On warm days, she does enjoy a glass of wine on the dock now and then, and always loves to sit at her desk, winter or summer, and tap at her keyboard.
Was there a story in this book? I'm still a bit confused...
From what I've gathered, the Absinthe Club is composed of an exclusive group of gentlemen who get together periodically (once a month?) to drink, smoke and gossip chat. Boys will be boys, as we all know, so it's no surprise when one of the Brothers (I don't remember which one, not that it matters) comes up with a new "discussion" topic: the most unforgettable sexcapade each has experienced. Robert St. Claire, Earl of Grayson, is the first one to tell his titillating story... The guest of a foreign prince, Robert St. Claire is given a beautiful slave for his pleasure. Unusual customs aside, he finds himself in a terrible dilemma. Not only is she English, but the daughter of a friend. In order to rescue her from captivity, he must use her like a harem girl in every way possible...

I admit that the book description caught my interest. The plot was far from being groundbreaking, but the setup was good enough to make me accept the H/h's insta-f*cking - and that's a big selling point when it comes to an erotica/romantica book. As expected, Robert and Celia didn't waste any time being coy and jumped into bed the moment they were introduced. By "introduced", I mean she was taken to his bedroom and told he was her new master. No names were mentioned, and she was not to ask or answer any personal questions. She was there to give him pleasure, and that's what she did. Night after night, for two weeks. They were like rabbits on ecstasy!
As a reward, Celia was gifted an exquisite Arabian pearl for each orgasm she gave Robert. On their first night together, she received four pearls. Atta girl!
Yes, I know there are five pearls in the pic above. Consider the "extra" pearl as a special bonus, because it takes a truly amazing virgin to pull that off. I guess Celia was a natural at sex. Just to give you an idea, here's a small glimpse of what she had after two weeks with Robert:
Just do the math. ;)
While the sex scenes worked, I'm sorry to say that the romance didn't. The problem is, Robert and Celia never saw each other during the day or, to be more accurate, out of bed. Even though he knew her father, he had never met her before she was gifted to him and couldn't claim to know the simplest thing about her. That "gap" was never filled during their two-week affair because she wasn't allowed to speak freely, so when the world "love" was mentioned for the first time in the book, I couldn't help snorting in disbelief.
All in all, this was an okay read. Robert was a nice and honorable hero, truly concerned about Celia's safety. Celia was less engaging and I didn't connect with her, but that wasn't bad enough to ruin the book for me. I liked the sex scenes, even though I was unable to think of them as love scenes, and the ending was sweet. Books that leave me with a smile on my face can never be bad. :)
The Brothers of the Absinthe Club is a series by Emma Wildes where 6 well-to-do aristocrats in Regency London have gathered together at their exclusive men's club to share their best sexual escapades. Arabian Pearl is Book #1 and is the story told by Robert St. Clare, the Earl of Grayson.
Robert is visiting an old college chum who is the son of a high Sultan. To show his hospitality, the Sultan gives Robert a woman to enjoy for the 2 weeks he will be visiting. The woman, Lady Celia Davenport, who had been abducted while visiting a relative in Italy and sold into slavery, has just finished her "education" in Harem 101. Of course Celia has been resistant from the start but after being chained to her bed without food or water for several days, she realizes resistance is futile and she resigns herself to her fate. Now she is told if she pleases the guest of the Sultan, and the guest wishes to keep her as a gift, the Sultan might grant the wish. If the guest is displeased, she will be relegated to the harem for the rest of her life.
Needless to say, Robert is quite pleased with his "gift". The lush, exotic surroundings well-known to the Arabian culture, is the perfect setting for Robert's exquisite seduction of Celia. Using his expertise and exercising patience, Robert coaxes Celia into shedding her inhibitions and giving in to her sexual desires. She acquiesces immediately and together they embark on a sexual, sensual journey that ultimately leads to love.
Wow!!! All I can say is if you are a fan of romantica then you must read this book, as it is "sex with a love story" at its finest! Ms. Wildes blends love and eroticism so well that whatever Robert & Celia do together can only be described as beautiful...not nasty or vulgar like so many other books with an abundance of sexual content. I encourage all of you closet dirty old ladies *cough Dhes cough* to download Arabian Pearl to your Kindle soon. I'm sure you will enjoy the story as much as I did!
Goodreads is asking me, right now, what I think about "Arabian Pearl", and welll... I don't know how to say it, but it sucks.
I enjoyed a couple of Wildes' books, so I'm a little bit disappointed. I thought I would find the story captivating, but it was just about many sexual encounters between a beautiful English slave and a handsome English lord. And because of those encounters - where conversations were NOT allowed- .... they fell in love.
Like, dude I don't even know your name, but I like your butt, so I'm in love.
Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful: 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Hot: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Que calor... 🔥🔥 Ameiii... Robert St. Claire e Lady Celia Davenport 🥰🥰 Um sequestro, e várias noites quentes... 😍😍 Amooo... Quando foi sequestrada ela não tinha mais esperança, até que ele chegou, e noite após noite eles se apaixonaram.. E cada prazer conquistado pelo convidado um perola era ganhada... Foi um belo colar por sinal... Foi delicioso de ler.. Happy reading, and until the next reading!! 🥰🥰
3 stars This is more erotica than romance. With the heroine held in captivity and being watched, the 2 characters can't talk freely. If you want more of a story I would check out her other works.
what a wonderful low commitment sexy summertime read. Celia is Captive in a harem and told her future and happiness depends on the pleasure of tall tan dark haired Earl of Grayson. maybe some parts were cliche and a bit culturally inaccurate but in the spirit of exotic fantasy this book was steamy fun. Love develops from initial physical relationship in a believable way. Most interaction between characters is erotic but just enough side story to make it page turning interesting.
You know what? I really liked this story. I only wished it would have been longer. If you like short HOT easy to read historical romances then this might just be what your looking for.
What a ride. Even though I have read other some what familiar stories, this one was never the less exceptional. What a great introduction to this author. I can not wait to read more.
Inside one of London’s most exclusive clubs several gentlemen gather once a month to visit with one another. As a diversion, Jonas Maxim suggests they each reveal their most daring sexual exploits. After all, they are men and sex is one of their favorite subjects. The Earl of Grayson requests the opportunity to be the first to share his tale. I loved it. Something new for me to read, I was so into this book and I am starting to read this author more. I love her writing style would recommend. The ending when they reunited in her father's office *sighing*
Really a nice romantic read, considering that Celia has to submit to Robert in order to survive and possibly escape. Predictable that they fall in love? Yes, but that doesn't make it any less sweet and romantic and the sex is HOT with a capital H. I marked it BDSM because of a few scenes in the book but it's definitely not hard core BDSM...more just the act of submission than anything else.
There are manga romances which are adapted from the novels. I think, this is one of those that are beautifully adapted and drawn. Others have too many loopholes bordering to plot confusion. And although I know that the story is somewhat unrealistic for its time this is passable (hahaha). Oh and the Hero has a big dick (in the drawings). hahahahahaha
Decadent fantasy. Every Emma Wilds story seems to start with a crazy premise, and then unapologetically revels in it. This one is no different. The characters are well drawn. The sex scenes are fire, and more or less constant. If you want an erotic romance that is mostly just the erotic part, this is what you want.
Some of the reviews that I have read said "I can't understand how these 2 fell in love". oh I see it, he is the hero who saved her and she is the one he saved they can easily fall in love.
4.75 seria o mais justo. Ardente, erótico, sensual e muito romantico. Só não atribuo 5 estrelas pelo facto de ser um livro pequeno. Ja comecei a ler o seguinte.
