Maverick archeologist Dr. Sky Wilder has never been able to prove any of his outside-the-box fringe theories... until now. When he breaks what had been an impenetrable code, he unearths a long-buried Egyptian stone tablet in Arizona's Red Rock country. Whoever possesses all three hidden tablets holds the key to locate an ancient alchemical text containing a formula for physical immortality. The bodies pile up as Wilder realizes he's been set-up as a pawn, caught between opposing covert agencies and secret brotherhoods that have been warring for centuries.

For millennia, secret societies have been protecting the secret to immortality. For nearly as long, power hungry officials and corrupt leaders have been trying to uncover this secret. A fringe archaeologist, Dr. Sky Wilder, finds himself suddenly caught in the middle of the two factions when one of his fringe theories touches a little too close to the reality of this secret world. The archaeologist must make a choice between finally proving one of his controversial theories to be true and save his reputation as legitimate research archaeologist or being called a kook for the rest of his probably very short lived career. Either way, the knowledge Wilder has uncovered might prove to be the death of him.

Not on Kindle Unlimited, which is probably good for him but bad for me as do most of my reading on KU since go through so many books a day/week. Always liked the find the impossible/surely it's just rumors not quite conspiracy theory type thing. There's much more than that, but definitely had to make time to read the book, mainly because the writer disagreed with someone who said the books reminded them of Indiana Jones, and the writer disagreed. I actually sent him an email to explain that scene was movie history, and was supposed to have been a 3 day shoot of fight scenes when the local food didn't agree with the actor, so they came up with just shooting the bad guy. On the other hand, it did put this really good book to the top of the tbr pile, so it's all good, and so was the book. I still luv Indiana Jones/Harrison Ford, though, no matter what.
I'm biased, or course, but I really loved doing the revision and update on Unseen Forces, which was originally published in 2004. The story is timeless, but the technology and some of the political situation needed a brush-up. If you love Steve Berry or James Rollins, this will be right up your alley.
I can't wait to get this book re-released by a major publisher. It's a terrific, rollicking, global espionage/conspiracy action/adventure thriller. Not that I'm biased, or anything!
