When a dazzling destination wedding brings the Luzzi Family to Hawaii, Lacey plans to take advantage of the sunshine and relaxation, along with a healthy diet of papaya and shaved ice. However, Lacey has her work cut out for her. Somewhere between traveling with a baby, learning to Hula dance from her grass-skirt-attired grandmother, and keeping Anthony's hands off her coconuts, new mom Lacey Luzzi is sucked into a pulse-pounding chase when her hotel room explodes and leaves a dead body behind. Is someone after the Luzzi family? Or is it all an unfortunate coincidence? Lacey doesn't plan on waiting around to find out, and neither do the island locals. However, after she's hired to investigate the death of a hotel maid, Lacey peels back the layers on the case, and realizes the attack might be more personal than she ever expected. The big island doesn't seem so big... when a murderer is on the loose.

OMG!!! What an adorable book! I had no idea this series was so cute... You can bet your speed boat that this won't be the last one I read. My break in book is the 12th in the series, but it didn't seem to matter... I was able to pick it right up and go along for the crazy ride.

This was a dazzling destination wedding to Hawaii. I assume that every crazy character in the series made a show, after all, who misses a wedding! But Grandpa Carlos' previous escapades seem to have left a lasting impact on the island and caused some problems for the family. The silliness is laugh out loud funny.

Happy Reading!

Ok guys this is a review for the entire series 😅.
🎧 I did the audios (which was such a mess and highly disappointing) so
I’m gonna break down this whole series without any major plot spoilers but this will have relationship spoilers and the series character progression spoilers.
I wanted a good long audio series. It was my main reason for picking this up!

Overall this was..
Romcom
Suspend disbelief
Silly antics
Mafia family- but also not really done well
Over the top antics
Light and mostly fun listening
Cozy mystery
Crazy reacurring side characters

‼️Book 1-3….
🎧audio was good w a narrator who did voices and personalities.

The first 3 books was hard for the romance. I didn’t like that she was dating OP and that Anthony was wishy washy. I also would have liked confirmation that he wasn’t dating and hooking up w OW.

I didn’t enjoy the weird way the author tried to write a love and romance. She dragged it out way too much and not in a fun way.

😡Why is she still hooking up w her looser ex!
And why is the H waiting so long and sending mixed signals for 4books??!!!

😡Also making the h pathetic isn’t attractive. She was legit in the next room while her ex he was hooking up w OW and she has seen him w a revolving door in his bed. Why is she still hooking up w him in book 3 when Anthony has told her multiple times he wants her and they have had more then one make out sess? It makes her come off as so gross and cheap w no self respect.
Way to much push and pull with Anthony the H. Makes him seem like a douche.

‼️ Book 4-
🎧Audio is the same and still good!
By the end we are finally getting somewhere with the romance! And FINALLY Lacy seems to be growing a bit.

‼️Book 5-
🎧HORRID! We went to VIRTUAL VOICE🫨 after having a great narrator w personality.
Also the story is FINALLY getting better and better and the romance was stating to get super sweet. So I was bummed about the audio big time!

‼️Book 6-
NO AUDIO AVAILABLE!!! WTF I did Alexa reading to me. What a freaking mess!
Also since the romance and story anew literally getting better w each book this is ruining my experience.

‼️Book 7-10-
🎧ALL VIRTUAL VOICE! 🫨 I guess it was better than Alexa reading it to me but WTF I mean this author really needs to get consistent with her audios.
The story was great though these were my fav of the series. We had character growth. Super sweet romance that I loved. And we got some fun storylines and mysteries. TO ME THESE BOOKS WERE THE BEST IN THE SERIES AND WHERE RHE SERIES PEAKED.
Such a shame about the audios! 😭😭😭

‼️Books 11- 12-
🎧BACK TO NARRATION! So great audios
But man the characters and the storylines took a plummet for me. Lacy was annoying me and so was Meg. Anthony turned into her useless husband. I mean he was head security for the mafia and couldn’t keep her safe! And Lacy was pregnant and putting herself in danger. I was annoyed. It’s not cute when you have real adult stuff happening to be acting like an immature child.

‼️Book 13-
🎧Back to ZERO AUDIO!
Fucking hell!!!!!! I mean really!? And I’m over it and ready for this series to end.

‼️Overall my experience of this series was def positive and I did enjoy the majority of the mysteries and stories.
I love the romance after book 4.
But to much stuff dragged to long w the characters and their growth and development.
The audios were a freaking mess! And had I known I wouldn’t have spent money buying the first 4!
By the time the series ended I felt sad to see it go but also ready. I did enjoy watching to romance bloom and grow and then get married and have kids but like I said other factors also made my experience less enjoyable to.

🍭🎂ALSO SIDE NOTE BUT NO GROWN WOMAN CAN EAT ALL THAT SUGAR! IT WAS OK AT FIRST BUT ANGUGE TURN OFF WHEN SHE BECAME PREGNANT!
Not cute just gross.

Overall safe.
Book 1-4 not really cause she is hooking up w her ex douche bag BF
No clue is Anthony is hooking up w OW.
After book 3 No OP at all.
Anthony never had a serious GF
Lacy had Laney of experience her ex bf wanted to marry her.

Also how did Anthony and Lacy not meet for 2 years when he lived on her grandfathers property? When he is the head of security for the family and that included her? Made no sense!

Shaved, In So Many Ways!

Lacey & her eccentrically dysfunctional family, & baby Bella, are off to celebrate Meg & Clay’s destination wedding in Hawaii. From the moment the plane touches down the craziness begins. Explosions, a hairy spider, coconut bras, & hot wax all contribute to this wild & wacky wedding trip. There are so many laugh out loud moments that nicely balance out some really chilling, edge of your seat moments. So many twists & turns in this highly entertaining irresistible page turner! Gina LaManna always delivers such a great read.

Meg and Lacey Take Down Hawaii Hooligans

Cute! Tons of action in this read and that’s primarily because the main subject is Meg and her wedding plans.

The Luzzi’s and Meg take Hawaii, but before Lacey and Anthony are even unpacked or changed Bella’s first diaper in their hotel room the room blows up. Luckily, the trio happened to have stepped out a moment. All they needed was that short moment to save their lives. The room was charred. However, the evil shiny pink frilly bridesmaid dress that Meg chose for Lacey to wear had also survived the bomb. Lacy had to all the fireman two or three times if he was absolutely certain the dress was ok. Yay?

A maid was killed in the bombing and Lacey is hired by a local to look into what happened and who planted the blaster. In the meantime, Clay is missing and Meg is disappointed wondering why he got cold feet and doubts herself and her ability to keep a man for too long.

But then Lacey discovers something about the bomb and who the actual targets were. Does Carlos know something about what happened and who the culprit is?

And is the victim’s sister really torn up over her death or is it simply a trap?

And, like in nearly every book, Lacey is kidnapped. I guess she’s easy that way, but it’s always because she cares about people that she is nabbed. She’s always abducted during the times she’s trying to save someone else’s life. However, Meg also shows what a terrific friend she is by the actions she takes. Yes, Meg is loud, louder, loudest, but that’s just who she is and she is as loyal to her family as they come.

We learn something new about Carlos and what he is capable of and we also hear words from him we didn’t think would ever fly out of his mouth.

And Meg has the best day of her life. All is well in the Luzzi Family.

Next is book 13 “Sliced” which I believe is the last in this series. Do you suppose LaManna will write a book about Lacey and Meg’s lives before she finds Carlos and Nora and while her mom is still alive? Or maybe she’ll write a book starting Bella Rose as a teenager who is exactly like Lacey, but with the whit, wisdom, and slyness of Anthony and the craziness and beauty of Lacey (and Aunt Meg) and the genius computer skills of Clay? Oh that’d be a good one! C’mon LaManna! Heck, maybe I should write the Bella Rose Luzzi series myself! Well, someone should!

In this installment of the Luzzi files, the clan heads to Hawaii for a wedding. Of course the family can't go anywhere without the attempted murder of one of them. Lacey is clueless as to why someone would be after them when they've never been to Hawaii nor have any beefs with anyone there. (Plus they've barely landed on the island and haven't had the time to have had any altercations.) This makes the case more frustrating. A bomb, a couple of kidnappings, a car chase including gunfire, a couple stink bombs, a brutal mountain hike, thrown overboard a boat, hula lessons, and a parachuting bride. Just another day in the life of Lacey Luzzi. :D

These characters are so much fun to follow. They are zany, fun, loyal and despite their craziness, are good friends with big hearts. This is book 12, and while the mystery/plot of this book is unique in itself and can be read as a stand alone, the characters development and relationships carry through the series. And with each book, their relationships grow and if you've read the previous books, you will especially appreciate the ending of this one. ;) Hint: There's a shift in the family dynamics.

The book is well written and reads easily. It is written in completely one POV. (Lacey's.) The story flows nicely without unneeded filler or fluff. It is hilarious yet there are some serious moments. There are a couple more emotional scenes as well. (Got a little teary eyed there at the end.) While it's considered a cozy it doesn't have the typical cozy vibe. It is clean, though there is some romance any sexual content is strictly alluded to. It isn't a small town setting. (This book is set in Hawaii, but their home base in in the Minnesota/St. Paul area.) There's a little more action then you normally see in a cozy. A small amount of violence. There aren't any major twists in the story, though there are a few surprises as things between to reveal themselves. (A few surprises for the characters.) There is a good subliminal message throughout the book. All about family. =)

All in all, this is a good read filled with excitement and love. You won't get bored.

A laugh out loud mystery series that gets better with each Luzzi family adventure!

Lacey's cousin,Clay and her BFF, Meg are getting married and it is all about Meg! She organizes a destination wedding on a small island in Hawaii. Lacey is happy about this destination wedding since she believes she can get some much needed rest and reconnect with her husband, Anthony since Bella was born. The family patriarch, Carlos and matriarch, Nora are invited which will give Nora some great grandmother time and Lacey and Anthony much needed recuperative time. But as what always happens with Lacey, Meg and the Luzzis, we are treated to a exploding hotel room, a dead body, shootings, kidnappings, hot wax, Hawaii mob, Hula Dancing, combined with some crazy laugh out moments. This 12th book in the series is amazing with so much going on, you can't put it down! Can't wait for the next Luzzi book in this series. Gina Lamanna has so many incredible series going at the same time you must get them all! Each one different from the next and just as fantastic! I received and ARC from the author, but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Now it's Meg's turn! Well when isn't it Meg's turn really? But she and Clay are finally getting married and it's a destination wedding in Hawaii. Nora and Carlos, Anthony, Lacey, and baby Bella complete the family that are there to see it happen. Only life has a way of screwing things up that there might not even be a wedding. (At least Lacey finds out Bella is a good traveler!)

Once again Gina LaManna has written a book that makes me laugh, almost cry, hold my breath, cringe, and imagine a sweet 6 month old daughter. But only Gina can make you go from one emotion to another so quickly. Also she gives you visuals with minimum of words and can make you laugh and feel wonderful.

So glad Lacey and close family are back for this exciting installment and amazing ending and wrap up. Go get your own copy right now because you won't be happy until you read it. Makes me want to read the whole series again. And just in case you haven't already, you should really read the books in order for maximum laughs and understanding!

This is a great book; this is the twelfth book in the Lacey Luzzi Mafia Mystery series written by Gina Lamanna. This is one of my favorite series by this author, I couldn’t wait to dive into this book. When a dazzling destination wedding brings the Luzzi Family to Hawaii, Lacey plans to take advantage of the sunshine and relaxation, along with a healthy diet of papaya and shaved ice. However, Lacey has her work cut out for her. Somewhere between traveling with a baby, learning to Hula dance from her grass-skirt-attired grandmother, and keeping Anthony’s hands off her coconuts, new mom Lacey Luzzi is sucked into a pulse-pounding chase when her hotel room explodes and leaves a dead body behind. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author.

3 fun stars

This is another fun installment in the Lacey Luzzi series, and even if I liked the last few somewhat better, I still enjoyed this one.

Lacey and her family are in Hawaii for Meg's wedding; Meg plans to be a bridezilla all week. They aren't there long before a bomb blows the door off Lacey's room from the inside, killing the maid whose cart the bomb was on. However, as Lacey start investigating, it's not long before it seems that someone is NOT happy with her involvement. This time, it's a different mafia don involved, but he is a mystery man whose identity isn't known by any of the people he regularly bilks for protection money.

In the meantime, Nora, Lacey's 90 something grandmother, is donning grass skirts and coconuts to learn how to hula, and she insists that Lacey learn with her.

Time for a new series

I’m giving 4 stars even though I personally didn’t love this book. My rating is for the artistic quality- good flow, kept me I interested enough to finish. I left one star off because many of the capers were too unbelievable and coincidental. Some of the funnies seemed forced and just weren’t funny. As for me, I no longer relate to Lacey now that she has a kid in tow. I think having to account for the baby makes the reading cumbersome. To me it’s stressful to always have where the kid is in the back of my mind. I’d rather have a better subplot. That said I won’t be reading any further books in this series if there are any but I will try different series by the same author and see how it goes.

Lacy is back and better than ever.

A destination wedding in Hawaii, what could be better?

Lacy Anthony their gorgeous 6-month-old daughter Bella is heading to Hawaii for Meg and Clay's wedding.

Lacy is looking forward to relaxing and hopefully a full nights sleep, Anthony is hoping for some romance with his wife, what neither expects was explosions, a dead body, and gunfire here and there but honestly, this is Lacy they really should have expected trouble to land at their feet like always.... lol

What a great mystery, I really loved it there was some awesome laugh out loud moments as always and it was great to have everyone together again the ending was just perfect.

Silly and endearing

I love all of Gina’s Lacy Luzzi series. They are silly and fun. Not to be taken seriously. I’ve read other people’s reviews.... books can be funny and not serious and still be good. For me, these ice cream for my brain novels are a wonderful way to pass the time. I find myself coming to these books when my life seems so full of stress, because they lighten me. Not for all my stresses, but some of them 😉
So, if you like light hearted, silly, but endearing characters, maybe even that remind you of your own friends (like my own) haha then you might just enjoy this book and the series!

A Luzzi vacation to Hawaii for Meg & Clay's wedding! Disaster is in the air along with a bomb in Anthony & Lacey's room, a murdered maid, Meg being a bridezilla, & a disappearing groom. Lacey is puzzled because they don't know anyone in Hawaii so she begins to investigate the dead maid. Anthony just wants a relaxing romantic vacation for time together since the baby has been born. Carlos wants to relax, Nora wants to teach her grand baby to hula dance (at 6 months old) , & Meg wants everything. Being shot at lied to & forced to hula dance, Lacey is up to her ears in danger and intrigue. Who murdered the maid, where is Clay, & will Meg's wedding actually happen?

The crazy, funny Luzzi Clan is back and this time they are traveling to Hawaii for Meg's wedding. Lacey wants to take advantage of her time there to rest, relax and reconnect with her husband. As usual nothing goes as planned. An explosion in a hotel room, a dead maid, hula dancing, shoot out and more will have you laughing out loud at these awesome characters. You don't have to read the previous books to understand what is going on, but if you don't you will miss great stories and a lot of character background. After 12 books, I still love these characters and want more!

Best one yet! Couldn’t put it down!

Wow! Wonderful addition to the Lacey books! Lots of action, laughter, love and intrigue. Lacey and Meg are at it again! I just love all the situations they get themselves into! So much fun! If you like cozy mysteries about love of family (even if they are a little different from your average family) and friends (who are just plain whacko!), you’ll love the Lacey Luzzi series. You can read each one separately, but I would recommend that you start at the beginning to really get to know Lacey and her family! You’ll love this series too!

Another great addition to the Lacey Luzzi series Make sure once again to bring tissues because our favorite due Lacey and Meg will have you in tears from laughing and life. As with each book, this one shows you the heartfelt bond of two little girls left to fend for themselves all those years ago. The gang travels to beautiful Hawaii for Meg and Clay's wedding. As everyone knows nothing goes smoothly for the Luzzi clan and with Bridezilla Meg in the mix watch out! This book definitely will not let you down.

I think this is going to be the last I read in this series. The story mostly consisted on the characters moving from one improbably situation to another, not uncommon for this series, but usually there is progress on the mystery too. I honestly thought the murder and mystery behind it was all a shame, concocted by Lacey's husband to give Lacey and Meg something to do together. A big reason why was because Anthony acted remarkably unconcerned about his wife's safety, he said all the right words, but his actions indicated otherwise. meh

Yes

I love this series, just wish it came out faster. I was hopping with a baby Lucci could be a little more health conscious with herself. Also for her job I'd thought Anthony would have made her get into exercising and training her to be better and lethal for her business cases because she need to be more self aware to keep her family safe. I expect before this series ends that she is just as deadly as her husband and they make a grate team with the daughter and possibly son learning as the grow to help?

I fell in love you Lacey and hang from the first chapter I read of this series. I have given more stars to the previous books in the series, I happen to find this book a little slower pace and some unnecessary details that Ms. LaManna other books did not have. But I want anyone and everyone to read this series from start to finish because you will definitely enjoy every minute.

Lacey Luzzi and gang will find trouble no matter where on the Earth they are!!

What is supposed to be an enjoyable and relaxing week in the Hawaiian paradise for a destination wedding turns into another case of trouble.

Bombs, kidnappings, wild goose chases, and missing suitcases make for a stressful vacation for the Luzzi Family.

With appearances from baby Bella and naked Anthony, you’re in for some real treats!

Fantastic

Five stars could never be enough for Gina LaManna book! This author should be on the New York Times best seller list. I read a lot of books, and fiction, non-fiction, you name it. Go a pulled me in with her first Lacey Lucci book. Her characters jump off the page and her story lines will keep you up late as you cannot put them down.
Gina has many different books and they are all a must read!

And off we go with the Luzzi family to Hawaii! Meg and Clay are having a destination wedding and everyone is going including Carlos and Nora. They will babysit Bella, Lacey and Anthony’s baby, while they are having a romantic time and everyone will focus on bride Meg. But an explosion results in Lacey playing detective again.

Another great installment in this series. I always love reading about the antics of Lacey and the family!

Shaved

I have loved the Lacey books grim the beginning. This review pains me a little. The book was disjointed, ridiculous and really slow throughout most of the beginning and middle. There were great moments, but they were overshadowed by so many others. There are just too many things to list out what was wrong. This book didn't have the same feel as the others in this series. I have never given one of Gina's books a 3. So this truly pains me.

A thrill a minute, from the first page to the end there are so many unexpected twists and turns and just when you think you know who the bad guys are something unexpected happens. Love this book and the series Lacey and Meg will keep you guessing all along the way, they are the kind of friends you want to have on your side and then there is Clay and his unexpected inventions, never a dull moment. Can't wait for the next one to come out. Highly recommend

Loved

Meg is getting married. If Clay doesn’t get arrested or dead first. How did Clay get his toys through security? Like the number of licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop the world may never know. Lacey has an explosive start to the wedding week when a bomb goes off in her hotel room. Sadly a maid gets caught in the crossfire. Lacey is hired to investigate and when the groom goes missing she finds she is in deeper than she could have imagined.

Fun reading

Gina's book never stop to pull me in. Once started, it's impossible to put them down. They have everything a good book should have: fun, mystery, romance, humour. I can only recommend this book series and urge you to read them and hopefully fall in love with Gina LaManna's books and characters. But beware! These books are highly addictive!

Always a hit!

I feel like this is the quintessential comedic cozy mystery that has to be a top 5 of all series. Lacey and gang go to Hawaii for Meg’s wedding and well, things get waxed, bombed and lost. It was entertaining with Meg and Clay plus Nora and her coconuts. Lacey and Anthony were a great team and managed their mystery solving and parenting like a charm!
