Are you willing to fight to keep the living world and Heaven safe from Levi and his army? While everyone prepares to answer this call to arms, life decides to throw in a few more twists and turns to make things even more complicated. As Lora and her friends try to recover from their adventure in the Void, new problems arise when Azrael is freed from his prison. He appoints Lora as humanity’s champion and tasks her with the responsibility of proving why he shouldn’t side with Levi in the upcoming war. After all, he and Levi are of like minds when it comes to their Father. Why shouldn’t he use his powers as the angel of death to wreak havoc on the living world and finally usurp God’s control over the universe? Even though the world is on the verge of collapse, Lora and Silas use what time they have left to explore their new connection to one another while preparing for a war that neither of them may survive. Lora may have the added burden of proving humanity’s worth to Azrael, but she also has a man who will stand by her side no matter what it might cost him. New threats endanger those who dare to attend the War Angel Academy, but every cadet understands what will happen to their loved ones if they fall to Levi’s army. War is coming. It’s time to stand up for what you believe in. It’s time to fight and be counted.

Once upon a time, a little girl was born on a cold winter morning in the heart of Seoul, Korea. She was brought to America by her parents and raised in the Deep South where the words ma'am and y'all became an integrated part of her lexicon. She wrote her first novel at the age of eight and continued writing on and off during her teenage years. In college she studied biology and chemistry and finally combined the two by earning a master's degree in biochemistry. After that she moved to Yankee land where she lived for four years working in a laboratory at Cornell University. Homesickness and snow aversion forced her back South where she lives in the land which spawned Elvis Presley, Oprah Winfrey, John Grisham and B.B. King. After finding her Prince Charming, she gave birth to a wondrous gift named Caylin and they all lived happily ever after.

The second book to the Harvester of Light trilogy will be available for purchase no later than December 2012.

Another Watcher Gem

Another great book in the Watcher world from SJ West. Obviously, I was hoping for more Malcolm but I will never be satisfied by any amount of Malcolm! The introduction of Azrael’s character was a really interesting plot twist. I wasn’t sure about it at first but I need to know I can ALWAYS trust this author. I hope we get a future book focused on Azrael and his orneriness. He reminded me of Malcolm way back at the beginning and I would love to see Azrael go on the same learning journey.

What can be said that hasn’t been said in reviews of Ms. West’s books? Wonderful, well-writtten, AWESOME! The world she has created, the characters she has developed, are so relatable! Watching Lora and her young friends grow, witnessing the inner battles the highs and lows - It’s a wonder ride.

Speaking of characters, Azrael is a hot mess! That’s all I can say about that. Hopefully there will be a spin-off!

Bless and reward yourself! Start this epic journey now! You will not be disappointed!

Loved it!

Another instalment in the war academy series! I've got to say I'm loving the continuity of this series following on from from the watchers universe and the way it's almost seemless, although it's written for young adults, I'm thoroughly enjoying them all I like giving my mind a rest. Read them I seriously recommend them all.

Book 3 of 3 in the War Angel Academy is bitter sweet....

As much as I LOVED this series, and love all things written by SJ West...

This book kept me on my toes.... the emotions, highs, lows, laughs, tears, sacrifices and love shown in these pages is heart warming....

I'm sad to see the series end, but hoping there will be spin off's with some of the characters.... Please?????

**********Contains Spoilers**********

Wow, I’ve been a fan of SJ West for about 8 years, ever since I first read Cursed (The Watchers Trilogy) Book 1. The Watchers Universe books are definitely my go to re-reads and have read them all multiple times since then. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and thought it was a fantastic ending to the War Angel Academy Series as it wrapped up everything and gave us the possibly teaser of future books in this Universe as I really want Desmond to get his happily ever after with his soul mate like Malcolm, Brutus and Jered and after what happened to his son he deserves a second chance at fatherhood. Man, there was so many twists throughout this book that I had no idea what was going to happen next which made the book that much more interesting. After everything that happened in the Void Lora has to deal with the loss of her Animus Lux since she gave up herself so Lora could get a soul and get to be with her soul mate Silas so she can help him heal after everything her sister Olivia put him through. Lora also has to deal with having all these extra emotions and feelings due to having a Soul and working out how to deal with Caleb. Man, you can just feel the pain Silas is going through because Olivia made him constantly relive his worst memory which was when his father Jered was a sadistic monster and constantly left Silas b*aten and bl*ody every night and then turned him into a monster and forced him into k*lling his first human while he transformed into his wolf form. Since Silas got sent to the Void when Hell was destroyed his memories of what Jered put him through before he was k*lled by Jess so he didn’t remember how much he hated him. They have a long way to go to restoring their relationship as Silas needs to reconcile the Jered that he was in his memory with the dad he’s been the past 6 months since they left the Void but at least Silas finally spoke to Jered and told him that he’s not ready to forgive him as yet but once he’s sorted out everything in his head he’d like to talk about their shared past but they have a war to win first. Wow, I really wasn’t expecting Az and he was a total surprise. I loved the conversations between him and Caleb and they totally cracked me up and after reading the epilogue there was a hint that Az may also get a story but I’m hoping we get Desmond’s happily ever after first since he’s the last of the Watcher’s chosen by Caylin to stay and help protect Lily’s descendants and fight against Evil like Lucifer, the Princes of Hell and Helena but only time will tell. I’d happily read any books from this Universe as well as any by SJ West. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, Universe and author to everyone.

What am i gonna do with myself now??? I have come this far (30 books in) and i am ready for more but wheeeen will there be more? :') i see absolutely nooo information about a book 31??!!?

If you don't read the entire Watcher series you are missing out, 100%. It is 3rd of January 2024 now, approx. 3 am, and i just finished my 3rd book of the year. After getting through 30 books you are always surrounded by familiar characters and i enjoyed everything about the war angel academy! Normally i am quick to get bored when reading so many different POVs but this, no no no, i loved everything.

One of the reasons i love this series is that yep it is LONG. As i've mentioned several times now, 30 BOOKS. BUT WHEN YOU LOVE THE UNIVERSE YOU GET SUCKED INTO, THEN IT'S HEAVEN. now like any other time you've come to an end, it sucks. What to do now

Hear my prayers, i need more stories about Silas, Caleb/Az, Malcolm, Lilith&Jered, and really, anyone plzzzz

I love Az/Caleb at the ending.

Actually Az/Caleb quickly became my favorite character! Who doesn't like a character with 2 souls trapped in one body? They are obnoxious, hilarious & ironically caring. A lot of tragedy happens in this book. Obviously, you figured out Cal's baby would be kidnapped. Who he was raised by for 6 years was a shock! What Levi forced him to do is a shock. I feel so bad for everything Olivia did to her victims! She turned into a monster. How could she serve he lovers killer? I love how Levi thought he accomplished so much only for God to tell him he did all the tears into Heaven & the Void. Talk about putting someone in their place. Lora gets her HEA even though it might not be with all her friends. Hopefully, she will see them one day in Heaven.

War is coming. It’s time to stand up for what you believe in. It’s time to fight and be counted.”

This final book is simply fantastic. It’s fast paced and action packed and immediately I was drawn back into the intense and emotional and exciting storyline. It’s been an entertaining read since book one and just got better as the series progressed and i have to say this last book is the best of them all. Questions have been answered and all loose ends tied up and although I am sad to see this end it was an epic ending to an epic journey and I am going to miss these characters.

Ready or not.. here he comes

Another fantastic read by S.J West.

Champion is the third book in the series and starts right where the second one ends. It was a fast pace adventure full of action, excitement, and a sweet romance added in the mix.
I think one of my favorite characters in this book is Az.. he definitely adds great comic relief and creativity to the storyline.

I thoroughly enjoyed this series

The third/final book in the War Angel Academy had everything I could want in a story. I loved the twist with Caleb and Azrael and found the character of Azrael himself to be a a dynamic and interesting person. As with every Sj West book, I could not put it down as soon as I started reading it. Without revealing any spoilers, I can see a good potential spinoff and look forward to hopefully reading it. 5 out of 5 stars!!

Great

This is a great book and I loved the series. Interesting from beginning to end but I think it felt just a little rushed compared to the other ones. I have enjoyed all of the related series to these books; if you enjoy paranormal fantasy type books then this is a great author to read! Well-written and so many great characters; usually a lot of action and keeps you on edge not knowing what will happen next.

Whew this book is full of twists, turns, action, laughter and sadness. It was so good! I cried, I laughed out loud, and I was shocked a couple of times to the point is gasping out loud. I absolutely loved the ending. Everything ended the way it should have. We finally get to see the battle when Levi enters the living world. It was an amazing build up. Do yourself a favor and read this!

Amazing! Such a great ending to a wonderful series. It’s full
of some truly shocking plot twists that I didn’t see coming. Lora is a strong determined woman who will protect those she loves no matter the costs. I am satisfied with the ending, but want more. The world is so brilliantly done, that you don’t ever want to leave.

The love interest is really good. I love the romance in this novel. The author has a way of blending in romance and fantasy. This book does it extremely well. Great novel. Highly recommend.

Brilliant! An EXCELLENT follow-up in the series. It was nail biting to read and had me yelling at characters. I became so immersed in the story-line that the end came way too soon.
Prepare for twists and get some tissues.
I was sad to get to the end of the series, it was like losing a friend.
