What does it take to have fearless schools? It starts with psychological safety-students, teachers, and leaders who know that mistakes are the source of learning, not shame or embarrassment. In order for great learning to take place, we first must build the trust and resilience needed to produce fearless students, teachers, and leaders-and ultimately create fearless schools.

I picked up this book as a required read for a class I’m taking. I’m glad I did! A lot of the information presented was confirmation of my personal beliefs about education, but some information was definitely new perspective or things I hadn’t thought to consider before.
I would recommend this book to anyone in education, but especially educational leaders. We need to shift the narrative in our public schools. Douglas Reeves does well to talk about those necessary changes.
