Rate this book
Something Borrowed, Something Blu Indigo, Stacia, and Naomi have been through the fire and back, as friends, sorors, and lifelong sisters. Their lives have a connection not even marriage, divorce, or being happily single could separate. After graduating college, they returned to Detroit where they forged new paths. Success did not elude them as all three became business owners. Although they reached a level of prosperity, it did not come without life's twists and turns. Indigo Bluthell always wanted the wedding and a husband she could call her always and forever. Unfortunately, all she got was disappointment. After two broken marriages she could not figure out what was wrong with her. Indigo stopped looking for love and started a wedding planning business to help others overcome the woes she encountered. By designing the perfect wedding for those in need, she realized creating happy endings was just as fulfilling. Putting herself first became her mission, at least until she was able to put the pieces back together. Stacia was just the opposite as her home girl and soror, Indigo. She enjoyed the single life, in fact she relished in it. Running her massage parlor had her busy enough to keep her from the worries of finding the perfect man. She took pleasure in dating recreationally without taking score. That lifestyle only goes so far when the heart interferes. As they say, the heart wants what the heart wants, the truth revealed itself when Stacia unexpectedly met a man who changed her views on love and life. Naomi had the man of her dreams in her husband, Chancellor. However, even the complimentary match can have you fooled. She discovered a secret about her mate that threw her for a twist, almost breaking her. Yet, she never lost hope in her wedding vows. Instead of going down the road leading to divorce, Naomi decided to see it through to the end. She remembered the words she spoke on the alter with Indigo and Stacia at her Something old, something new; Something Borrowed, Something Blu.....you know the rest.

I enjoyed this read. Different from my normal read, but well worth picking up and reading. A few touchy subjects that make the story interesting.

True Friendship

I really enjoyed this book. The friendship or should I say sisterhood was real. They stuck by one another through everything. That's what true friendship is all about.

I enjoyed this book, a real sisterhood amongst the three ladies: Indigo, Stacia, and Naomi. These ladies met at college and became friends, sorors and friends for life. After they graduated from college, they all returned to Detroit to start life. They had a real friendship,
