An "Epic" Dragon Rider series you will never forget!
Magnificent dragons! Charismatic and unforgettable riders! A villain that will give you nightmares! This is a brilliantly written series with fantastic world building. I felt like I was there, soaring the skies on dragonback with the other riders as my best friends! I felt the friendship and love, the grand battles, the betrayals and treachery, loss and tears. Yet there was also old and new friendships with laughter and adventure! And plenty of twists and turns to delight any reader. It's one of those that you just can't put down. This is the best Dragon Rider series I have ever read!
A fantastic set of books! Fast paced, page turning action and drama all fitted together with friendships, emotional turmoil, defeats and triumphs, love and hatred. Eileen has created a world that you just want to jump right into and never leave! I cannot recommend these books highly enough! Read them people! Read them!
This is one of the most epic dragon rider series I have read in a long time. The dragons are mighty and loyal to their riders to a fault whilst many of the riders though having a difficult traumatic past once bonded and loved so dearly by their dragons become the might warriors of Dragon's Hold, protectors of the realm. In this series we get to see a massive war between the light and forces of dark and evil in Commander Zens, a creature who had come through a portal opened by the mages from Earth. He too carried hatred in his heart and wanted power over the realm with a vengeance. He brought with him knowledge of science and technology which was beyond anything the riders and mages knew, since they were still living in the time of magic. Zens used his knowledge to breed tharuks, clone mages and create shadow dragons from DNA he took from those he captured. His thousands of human slaves mined for his methimium crystals, a danger previously unheard of and which he used to turn people's minds to do his bidding. This series is very dark in that all who fall into Zens' hands and enslaved in the pits of Death Valley are tortured, used and abused without mercy but the war will not be won by hatred but by love and so it is in this series too. Enjoy this awesome 6 book series as much as I did, I really did not want it to come to an end but the end is worth it!
Like Eragon with strong female lead - enjoyable dragon sword&sorcery epic YA fantasy
This first in the series (set of 6) was sword and sorcery, epic fantasy book with a side dish of slow burn YA romance that reminded me of Eragon. But then all dragon books remind me of Eragon. 17yo Ezaara has been raised by her parents to swordfight and know ber herbs in a backwater town that hates dragons and dragon riders. When she mind melds with the dragon queen she doesn’t have time to even say goodbye before she is thrust into the midst of intrigue and has to battle for survival. I loved the world building where everything was throught through from overlap of dragon and rider names to healing herbs and even swearwords. Quite an enjoyable read if you love dragons, sword & sorcery, epic fantasy and very very slow burn and clean romance.
I’ll continue with the series and for now am posting about the first book just so you know this is a great set to binge on.
I loved this set so much. It was hard to put down. I enjoyed how the characters met. Interactions between all of them. There was, fast action. Wars, battles, tragedy, pain , loss, sadness, and love all mixed together at the same time. I was enthralled. Laughed, cried, got angry and could not believe what was happening at times.
If you like a good fantasy with all this happening, this the book for you. I lost many hours of sleep reading this box set. It is the continuation of the fire dragon series with Anakishna as queen dragon rider. READ this set. You can read it as a continuation or by it's self.
Loved the series. My favorite part was the ending. The author did a great job tying up all the loose ends and I didn't have to wonder about what happened to my favorite characters. Being written for YA audience, I was glad there was no real swearing, no gratuitous sex scenes, or scenes of addictive behavior. Although there is a lot of violence and death, these are things that must happen when fighting the greatest of evils. The characters exhibit exemplary morals and ethics, and hold life and freedom as something valuable and worth fighting for. My recommendation would be for youth 15 and above.
This box set of books was terrible for me. I didn’t get everything I wanted to get done, during this period. I stayed awake longer than I should have, didn’t do any projects that I should have started. If you have something to do, that needs to be done real soon, DO NOT START TO READ THIS BOOK!!! (Unless you have time to not do anything else). I mean it. I couldn’t put it down, unless it fell out of my hands when I got too tired to see straight anymore.
This series has a way of drawing you in and where you didn't want to put it down ,wondering what you were going to miss....You Will fall in love with all the characters from this world, they all have courage and heart and you can't help but love all of them. The dragon's are just as loveable... I like that the last story was about the sea dragon's and the assassins.. It kinda finished how the whole story for together.. All from Anakisha and Yarin and their dragon's
In all my 68 years of avid reading, I have found few authors with such an explosion of imagination as Eileen Mueller. Everything that could ever be wanted, from joy and sadness, good and evil, laughter and tears followed me as I read this, most amazing series. I would gladly recommend this series, with Edward and Roberto and all of the many, many other characters to anyone and everyone.
Overall I really enjoyed this book the very 1st book of the set Ezeera not so much Maybe the 1st 10 pages and maybe the last 30 pages anything in between was a bunch of whiny crybaby crap That I just can't stand I don't find it The right kind of drama that for me. The books next five books were great a lot of suspense a lot of action, a lot of happiness, a lot of sadness for people and dragons dying. Overall it was great
Dragon Riders. 6 books. Great stories and an amazing ending.
I was enthralled the whole way through the story. From the start all the way to the end. You want a great Dragon story , well then read all of these. I loved them all.Ellen Mueller in my book is a very good author and a excellent story teller.
These were very well written books of Dragon's and their Rider's who went through many hardships and battles fighting their evil foe, Zens. Good book's that were very entertaining. My favorite author and her book's, Anne McCaffrey and the Dragon's of Pern are still number one, but this is a good series also. Give it a try.
This book fills in stories that were hinted at in previous volumes, as well as reveals more of the overall story that took place after the final showdown. New friendships and old are celebrated, new losses are mourned. But...New story lines are begun, leaving room for future stories.
A Realms fight for survival and the brave men, women and young ones who battle save it. This series will keep you reading far longer then planed as your caught up in each ones struggle, some winning and some loosing. Cheers and tears. A great series, one to match The Dragons of Pern series.
I always love reading. However this series starts out with promise, good story line, characters, dragons, magic what more could you want.LESS ,, I Skimmed over hundreds of pages, stoped to read and was caught up. If you are looking for something very drawn out this could be for you.It has very interesting plot, fell in love with many characters, just left me wanting less.
Generally a likable but tedious read. At times the series flowed in a way that was enjoyable to encounter, but book six just seemed overly repetitive. The overall quality of the writing seemed below par in comparison to other authors like Piers Anthony.
Healers, farmer,s, assassins, mages, dragons and riders come together to fight a common but powerful foe. A mix of fantasy and sci-fi meet and flow together to save their world. I enjoyed the way the author showed not only the viewpoint of the main characters, but of those they met in their quests.
Too much despair and angst for me, but written well enough. I personally prefer that the heroes all live and the small triumphs outweigh the miseries in the stories I read. I don't read fantasy because I'm looking for realism, after all.
I heard these books were just as good. I was curious and decided to buy them and read them. I was not disappointed in any way! I hope we get to read more adventures in Dragon's Realm and beyond other Realm Gates!
So many great adventures to help get threw such difficult times. This write did a great job at keeping me in to this story straight from the start to the finish. I highly recommend this series.
This series is such so awesome you can't stop reading. I've red these books several years ago and had to reread them again they were that good!!!!! Eileen Mueller is an amazing writer & story teller, I have enjoyed her books & highly recommend them!!!
I read it the first time. I loved it. Then reread it and loved the adventures and all the people and dragons. Mages were great too. Then came the sea dragons with their assassins. Thank you for writing these adventures.
You will laugh, cry, hold your breath and fall in love with the writers amazing ability to bring these books to life in your mind. It’s just what I think. Get and read it. Tell the next person.pay it forward.
This series of books kept me entertained throughout the whole set. I read all 6 books in 10 days. I would have finished sooner but, unfortunately, I have a life apart from reading. How sad! Y’all give this series a try, you won’t regret it.
Thank you for a wonderful trilogy ! I hated putting it down!! I loved the story - it held my interest and I felt as if I was flying with dragon. I laugh, I cried, I got angry, and I was there! Thank you you are in deed a talented writer.
From the first I was caught. The heroes, heroines, and all the uncommon people, filled with life. The stories are full of the ups downs and challenges. Never a dull moment....thru to the end.
Take a trip into a world of dreams and spirits that is so different but also similar to our own that it feels believable. Well structured and intricate but caring in its structure and storytelling. Well worth the read.
So many wonderful characters, fantastic adventures and fierce battles! I really enjoyed the whole series and highly recommend it if you like epic dragon fantasy.
