Far too many people retire needing to take five to twenty medications a day for health conditions that could easily have been prevented. They retire to their recliner and don't take full advantage of the opportunities that retirement offers because they're dependent upon oxygen from the oxygen tank or because they're just too stiff and sore to get out and enjoy life.
It doesn't have to be that way—in nature, when things are in balance, there is no disease!
In Healthy Dad, Sick Dad, Dr. Glen N. Robison shares his personal journey with two very similar fathers who ended up in drastically different retirements. Determined to understand why, Dr. Robison studied his healthy father's lifestyle and emulated it for fifteen years, with dramatic improvements to his own health.
Now, he shares the secrets of living toward a long, healthy life.
Start living today for your greatest asset—YOU—and look forward to a retirement you'll love.
This book is good info on how to live healthy while you are working so you can enjoy your retirement without having to take many medications, which is the highest expense you will have in retirement.
Some of the information in this book I was already practicing without even knowing about it, and some was news to me.
I recommend this book to those with an open mind, you know what's said; knowledge is power. So educate yourself, and as always;
A lot of word association... A lot of yin/yang How your body corresponds to earth, metal, fire, wood, and water Details the Chinese health methods and why they make sense...and I mean the author goes into ALOT of detail. A whole chapter on what RoundUp does negatively to the soil and plants Chapter 8 was interesting to me because the author explains several of the food label ingredients and why they are toxic or not good for your body by stating what it could cause to happen to your body. The last chapters have suggestions on important foods for your immune system, if you are diabetic, and an overall healthy life restyle of foods to eat (and to avoid). I have a long way to go as many of the foods I enjoy were on the poor or avoid lists. But baby steps....
