I am a spy for my alphas and I will bring the king down from within... After winning The Rite, a brutal three-part test for Alpha Female of the Fall Mountain Pack, I was betrayed by everyone around me. I didn’t see it coming, and neither did my alphas.
Ragnar Fall was a trick played perfectly by the angel king and he almost destroyed The Fall Mountain Pack... until he was fooled by me. Now I’m in his world, at his side, and I’m going to get the alliances my pack needs to build an army against him.
I was once a rejected wolf, but now I’m fighting to be their queen.
My four mates.
My dark alphas.
My Hades.
King Cenwyn will never see me coming. I am the alpha female of Fall Mountain Pack and I am going to start a war that will change our world.
This is a full-length reverse harem romance novel full of sexy alpha males, steamy scenes, a strong heroine and a lot of sarcasm. This is book four in this series.
G. Bailey is a USA Today bestselling author of books that are filled with everything from dragons to pirates. Plus, fantasy worlds and breath-taking adventures. Oh, and some swoon-worthy men that no girl could forget. G. Bailey is from the very rainy U.K. where she lives with her husband, two children and three cheeky dogs.
I did mostly enjoy this but for me, it’s definitely the weakest of the series so far and in my opinion, some things were just far too easily achieved. So after winning the wolf rites and becoming alpha female Mai attempts to gather support from certain angels attempting to stack the odds in her pack's favour in the upcoming war. She does this by going with Cenwyn and attempting to make him believe she’s open to his persuasion and attention.
It was way too easy and unbelievable that she’d have the success she did in such a short amount of time. I couldn’t help thinking when she pretended to be a stranger at one of the courts what if someone mentions she’d actually been here before its going to look very suss and definitely suspicious.
But yay we do finally get some action on the sexy front well more than we have had previously as this mate circle finally solidifies their bond. Got to say though It was slightly anticlimactic, especially after all of the anticipation but well at least it’s happened that’s a definite plus. This again finished on another cliffhanger and though this wasn’t my favourite of the series as a whole I’m enjoying this.
What I don't like about this book is that Mai makes some absolutely atrocious decisions that she was severely warned not to make b/c of the dire consequences. And when she faces those consequences...she blames others and so does everyone else around her. Mai acts like an idiot in this book a lot of the time & she should be told so by her loved ones b/c THATS what loved ones actually do when you knowingly make egregious decisions like ***spoilers*** selling away your firstborn child to a creepy male trickster in exchange for a wish although you grew up a sexually & physically abused foster child yourself! When you do something atrocious like sell your 3 year old daughter away after causing your abused, traumatized best friend to be enslaved to the same male stranger so he could grant you another wish! Family & friends don't tell you what you did was understandable, they don't say that you lying and going behind their backs was right, they tell you that selling two OTHER people's lives away for YOUR wishes is evil & should've never been agreed to no matter what. They'd tell you that you were warned, next time you need to listen, that they won't apologize for using alpha command to stop you from harming yourself or others w/ your half-cocked actions, and you need to fix the messes you create. Period. You can't call Mai a strong alpha female if she can't take full responsibility for HER actions, good & bad. She did not have to deal w/ these people. She did. That's her fault, and I think she should have to pay a price for it. In fact, I wish the next book would show her losing SOMETHING substantial to keep her daughter. Like her immortality. Or maybe one of the alphas.
Two more things: strangers jumping out of bushes using nicknames w/ Mairin is getting fxcking absurd. Her name is not that long. Why can't they just use her freaking name?!?🙄 And now her daughter's got a dumbazz nickname too - "Dip" from Serendipity? What tf for? That's not even cute, it's literally one of the ugliest nicknames I've ever heard. Just give it a rest already author, the nickname gimmick is tired & inane. The author also seriously needs to proofreading & continuity. Sometimes there are are sentences where you can't tell who is replying to whom or what they are replying about. And some of the sentences are so poorly written, I can't believe she does this professionally: get a thesaurus & revisit basic grammar and sentence structure. What's more, some plot lines clearly don't make sense with what was said earlier on in the book and/or the book series. Like, if you're too l@zy to at least make sure that all the plot lines maintain continuity and make sense within your book series... then *stick to writing a short stories* or something. *Do not* write an *entire* book series. Do better...😒
I know there is only one more book following these 5 but I just have no more motivation to finish their story. Like how did it take the group weeks to get from Ravensword Pack to the Fall Pack the first time but in this book it sounded like it just took a couple of days? I also felt like there were just way too many things going on and nothing really got the attention it needed since there was just too much in such a short book. So I'm done with the series.
This felt really poorly paced and the dialogue feels forced. I had to grit my teeth to finish. I’m interested in the storyline but very little about the reading is enjoyable. I don’t know if I’m going to finish the series as I can’t imagine pushing my way through another three books.
While Mai is stuck with Cenwyn the other players in the war are being put into place. We learn more about Mai's past and see the consequences of her promise to the trickster. So much going on in this one!
This is one of the series that I like to re-read before reading the next book in the series. I always love reading this series to see character growth as well as finding the little things I missed reading last time. This book was so good! I loved every single chapter and couldn't help but be a cheerleader while reading this. I don't want to give away any spoilers but this book started answering questions I've had for awhile. Also, the anticipation and shock in this book! G. Bailey did so well, I read this book in one sitting! I want the next book so bad!!

After the surprise and cliffhanger of the last book, I really want to know how it went further. And it did not disappoint! Mai is becoming a stronger female then ever, and she shows she has some tricks up her sleeve too. The story unravels further and more and more things fall into place. Unto the next book!
Book 4 has Mai in quite the fight against King Cenwyn as she tries to save her pack and alpha mates after the betrayal at the end of book 3. She is forced to go with Cenwyn but hopes she can use her time by spying and making alliances with some of the angels not enamored with the mad king. Once done she hopes to be return to her mates with the help from some of her friends. Some secrets come to light as old friends return to help Mai before Cenwyn and the angels bring war to the packlands.
This was fantastic page turner. Thank goodness book 5 comes out November 30th.
This is a very slow burn series this is book 4 and they have finally done the deed. But the storyline is good just really really slow. Not sure I want to continue
Well better than the last one, though I was annoyed by the pages long monologues of the several characters. Mai evolved well. The plot has so many twists it gives you whiplash. One more book and I am actually glad it will be over then. Not sure I will read the trilogy about Serendipity though...
Spoiler: I don't see why Cenwyn is supposed to be Zeus. He can't be her mate as he was her father in Greek mythology. Ok, he and his own sister Demeter were the parents and Zeus was not picky in his mates, but this is too far in the Hades and Persephone myth.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Honestly these books were good but they draaaaag on. There are quite a few errors in spelling and such in all the books. Spice doesn’t appear till book 4. I’m not even going to read book 5 because I’m bored of them.
Book 4 of this series doesn't hold back the punches in regards to the storyline! We get to see the climax of this huge storyline getting prepped/starting to form and I bet book 5 is going to be an explosion of action and hopefully everyone comes out ok!
We get to see Mai's plan come to fruition in terms of being a spy/ in Cenwyn's court and gathering more forces to eventually go up against his vileness and thousands upon thousands of angel soldiers (and the twist we get at the end makes the situation in more fire for Mai and she doesn't even know it!). Cenwyn is a horrible character, sometimes I felt bad for what he went through but his judgement and logical part of his brain is tainted by the powers he has inherited/been given. I can't wait to see him go down hopefully in flames and the other baddie side characters.
This wasn't my favorite of the books so far, I think because Mai was so far from her guys and seeing Ragnar go through what he went through was tough. The twist we get with Mai's memories being restored was a shock and some of Mai's actions in this book didnt make 100% sense to me in terms of where Mai's character had grown to/evolved but the story was still very strong and kept me engaged. I loved getting to get some spotlight time with the side characters through! I loved Niall, Callahan, and Deimos (and hope to get to know some of the other characters too). I am intrigued to see how Erin responds after Mai didnt hurt her loved one when she could have. The emotions in this book are ALL OVER THE PLACE! Be ready to be mad, upset, and go awwwww. I felt the most when it was Silas' POV when Mai was gone. Good job by the author with expressing the emotions and giving us more detail than some of her other books have done (usually towards the end of a series I feel like the story is rushed but I haven't felt that way with this series yet).
This book picks up where the previous book ended. Cenwyn finally has Mai but she has an agenda and a role to play if they want to survive the upcoming war. Forces must be gathered; plans must be made, and everyone has to choose a side. We finally find out who Cenwyn really is and the powers he holds, and we learn his other reasons for wanting Mai. Mai may have her memories back but there's still a huge secret that's revealed. Henderson, Silas, Valentine and Ragnar finally have their bonded mate now, but enemies are at the gate waiting to destroy everything and everyone. Betrayal is strong in this series, and they seem to come from those you least expect. However, we keep hearing how strong Mai, Henderson, Silas, Valentine and Ragnar are but have yet to see them cause and major destruction. I'm getting tired of reading about them taking so much damage and not dishing out as much. I need to see some major action from them soon or read about some huge game changer because the story is dragging. However, with that being said, I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series because Cenwyn and Adira are ready for war, I just hope the wolves are just as ready.
Well this book surprised me, I had so many different emotions while reading it. I couldn’t help but feel bad about Cenwyls childhood, the way he was pushed a side by the one he loved, I know it wasn’t May’s fault but it’s still sad to read that child was pushed a side like this. First book that I was completely disappointed in May, the way she reacted when met her daughter was complete disappointed, what you would expect was for her to run to her daughter, hug her, cry for forgiveness… what we got was her just standing and do nothing when her daughter run away from her, like she doesn’t care, I feel she should let Alpha take away her daughter because of deal. May didn’t deserve to be her mother, honestly I didn’t get any vibes from her as loving mother , all talks talks but her actions doesn’t show it, very disappointed
I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.
Mai is seriously growing into a really mature and strong person the more that is revealed with each book. We get a few more answers to questions we've had since the beginning and you can feel the tension in the air ready for the big battle that is coming up.
We get 1 more book of Mai's story, and then 3 books from another character, and I cannot wait for all of them to be released. There are still a lot of questions that need to be answered and I'm looking forward to that coming soon!
I still love all of the men in Mai's life and how each one has a key role in Mai's life. Can't wait for more!
Omg what a story!! This story just keeps getting better and better and I couldn't put it down.
This starts right when the last book ends and Mai has made a deal with the other pack to save hers and she's left with Cenwyn. Except she has no plans on staying with him but to spy and recruit angels to her side. This book has so much angst, sorrow, pain, love, happiness and relief. It does end on one heck of a cliffhanger though so now I'm going to be biting my nails until the next book comes out!! I'm totally addicted to this series!!
The Fall Mountain Shifters series shows no sign of losing any pace. Her Salvation - book 4 continues on from the 3rd with Mai at the hands of King Cenwyn after she took part The Rite. Her time spent with him gathering information but whilst shes there she also finding her own answers to some unanswered questions. Oh and some of them are goodies too. I think the time Mai spends away from her Alphas in this book helps her grow more as a character. It definitely tugs at your heartstrings and its sad in parts. This book was a brilliant read and i cant wait for book 5 now
This book was miserable until halfway through. Honestly following Mai visiting the Angel court was rough and hard to read. I would’ve preferred staying with the Alphas and seeing what they were up to. Niall and Serendipity were actually a great part of the book. Coming back to the pack was a delight and then of course, as is always the ending made me mad. There is has been a moment in every book where I don’t think it’s so bad and then G. Bailey proves me wrong. At this point, I don’t know who I’m rooting for or against but I just want to see Ragnar win.
I have been reading this series since it first came out, each book gives you a bit more of back story and some progress forward. I loved how devious this book was with spying and being underhanded. The good will succeed!
I did however find this book a lot shorter compared to the other books in the series so just be warned.
Cannot wait for the next book!

G. Bailey has continued this story brilliantly! She has really put everything into this book...mystery, sacrifice, heartache and love. This book picks up right where book three finished and at the end I was left wanting book five! I loved the whole concept behind being a spy and I really enjoy reading about this confident, strong and powerful FMC, she is what makes this series so unique and worth the read. Bring on book five!
3.5 stars So much happens and we get more answers. I don’t know why, but I thought this was the final book and finale for Mai. Warning, it’s not, oops. I definitely had those feelings of panic that it wasn’t going to be wrapped up by the end….and it’s not because it’s not the true end. So buckle up and get ready for another cliff and another book to come.

When I started this book I was honestly disappointed and though I would have to give a low rating. It seemed to be another story about basic revenge by destroying from within. To say that I was presently surprised to admit that I was wrong. The book is full of hitted facts and twisting plots that managed to be sucked into regardless of my prior bias. It is worth mentioning that the steam is well worth the three book wait.
Mai has sacrificed so much over the course of her life that her mates and her family have the strength to overcome anything that is thrown at them. She sacrificed herself to save her people, her memories to save her daughter, and the life that she wil eventually live will be worth it all.
I definitely need to start this series from the beginning and look forward to the next two books in the series. This was definite page turner and I'm looking forward to learning about the characters from the beginning of their trials and tribulations. Plenty of twists and turns. Loved it!

I was waiting for this book… And I am glad I waited to read it until the next book’s release date is right around the corner! I missed Mai and her men! The book is a little more smutty than the others before! Can’t wait to see what the next one has in store! It’s still a little low on the smut level for me… not enough and not descriptive enough, and too fast too… it always feels a little rushed! but there is sexual tension all through the series up to this point! This book is kinda the culminating point of this slow burn romance smut wise!
what can I say? The cliffhangers are driving me a bit cray cray.
So, Ms Bailey has done it again with another fabulous book in the Fall Mountain Shifters series. I love all the twists and turns as the plot thickens. I also have a love-hate thing happening with the cliffhanger endings, but luckily I don’t have to wait for the next book!
Mia has come a long way she is no longer afraid or weak she has came along way in her journey she has grown as a individual and as part of the pack she has sacrificed a lot and fought to get where she is. Can’t wait until next instalment
This was an amazing book. Things are finally coming together for Mai and her mates. But that was one heck of a cliffhanger. I so did not see that coming; although something had to have happen to Adira. I can't wait for the next book.
