Didn’t feel like a Second Chance story

Beau escaped an engagement he didn’t want, and now he is back in Winnipeg to play hockey. Caterina wanted to go to school, raise and give her daughter a better life. When the little girl claims Beau as her father, his life changes beyond what he could have imagined.

While the story's premise was good, it didn’t give me that second chance vibe. The author couldn’t keep the names straight. Matthew became Carlos, and the Rangers became the Raiders and the Rangers again. The author is doing herself a disservice by not engaging a copy editor and a proofreader.

I rated 2.5 because the numerous errors and not keeping the names straight disrupted the flow of the story for me.

Nonsensical garbage

Very seldom do I write reviews; however, I feel I should warn my fellow readers to pass this book by. This story line was so utterly unbelievable and the grammar as well. This writer wants readers to believe that a world renowned NHL player in two days time married his maid just because her 3-yr old daughter called him “Papa” and that his team of 4-lawyers co-signed it EVEN knowing that her daughter wasn’t his. Just know that this book continues to downhill from there.

Great book!

I really enjoyed this story and the characters were very entertaining. I loved the chemistry between Beau and Caterina it was smoking hot 🔥! The story line was filled with drama and romance you want to keep on reading. Beau and Caterina found love when they both were not looking for it. Running away from a hellish situation brought them both to love and contentment. I highly recommend this book to my fellow romance readers you will not be disappointed 💜!

Couldn't Wait To Finish

The premise of the story was interesting. There were numerous errors and the book needed better editing. The believability and story substance was missing.
